I'm mulling around two ideas for an Iron Warriors list. I was wondering if you guys could tell me which list fits the Iron Warriors theme better and which list looks better overall.

For Some reason I got the Idea stuck in my head that they use a ton of Vehichles, but Im back and forth on whether or not they'd use Daemon Engines or not. What do you guys think?

Storm Of Iron had defilers and they used vindicators like long range but in reality, defilers have been dethroned to over costedness and vindicators are only 24".

surprisingly, eldar has long range in the form of 1d6+1 S7 shots that ignore cover with the absolutely ridiculous range of 60 inches.

If you want long range shooting, get wave serpents, because the battle cannon on a defiler is crap at 250pts. The vindicator is only 24", there is no long range for csm. Do not even get me started with 48" as that is not when it comes to dark eldar night shields or veils.

I'm not really going for Long Range Shooting as much as the Siege warfare kinda look. Funny Enough I'm actually selling off a Tau Army right now to fund this one.

The first list has a lot of firepower, though I would drop the VotLW and find something else with the points (unless you face a lot of loyalists).

It is kinda excessive to have it on everyone, isn't it?


Do you think dropping the Preds for the Forgefiends and turning the Termi-Warsmith into a Regular power armor guy with a Sigil of Corruption would be a good idea?

I apologize for the out burst and rant. I proxied a blast master spam list against dark eldar and eldar with the intention of hunting wave serpents using my S8 ap3 ignores cover blasts. I failed as 1st turn they decimated my noise marines behind a ADL using their 60" ignores cover S7 shots. They stayed out of my 48" range and just blasted me with that bogus shield. I tried marching my guys up but that allowed the scatter lasers and shuriken storms to shred my noise marines.

Who thought it was a great idea to make that thing 60"? I understand the ignores cover and high strength, but 60"?

It's all good bud.


The More I look at list one, the more I like it. So this is a slight edit to see if this gets the best of Both worlds. also changed it up.

Why in the world would you buy the Murder Sword? It's essentially one of the worst pieces of wargear in the history of the game. It's easily points that could go into something else.

Pretty much to make that land raider the biggest target on the board.

I was also thinking about just using the Crimson Slaughter Book and giving him the Blade of the Relentless instead and dropping the Power Fist from the Termie sarge to give Preferred Enemy to the Chosen.

Land Raiders aren't hard to blow up though.
Blade Of The Relentless is a little more practical, so that could be the better option. I'm also shocked you wouldn't use PE Chosen in the first place with that setup.
