A fun little concept, my store is running a doubles End Times Tournament, 1200pts each. We will be running the latest End Times rules (Including Khaine Magic) and 50% Heroes and Lords. My partner will be bringing his Skaven to the board, rocking One of the new Vermin Lords (probably the 4+ Ward Save one), a coupla massive blocks of Slaves and 2 Warp Lightning cannons as far as i know. He is also bringing the Storm Banner, so this is me trying to build a list that would accompany his and do quite well i feel.
Lords.
-Durthu, Eldest of Ancients. Level 1 Beasts. 385pts-
Heroes
-Spellsinger. Level 2. Shadow. Dispel Scroll. Horse. 150pts.
Core
10 Glade Guard. Trueflight. 150pts
10 Glade Guard. Trueflight. 150pts
Special
5 Sisters of the Thorn. Standard Bearer. Gleaming Pennent. 155pts.
Rare
5 Waywatchers 100pts
5 Waywatchers 100pts
The idea being that this list has good synergy with the Skaven list. It's fast, so it won't get in the way of his blocks and can shoot down chaff well, something Skaven have trouble with. Durthu is for some punch, i know he will be bringing the Storm Banner and a Vermin Lord, so if the enemy has cannons he will be well protected. He can run alongside the Slaves, adding a huge amount of combat rez to their own static rez (7 Ws 7 Str 6 attacks with Hatred will do that to a unit). It's also meant to be end times and everyone else is bringing something cool, i wanted to join in. Khaine End Times magic gives me a lot of options, Durthu knows all of beasts (can someone say Savage Beast of Horrors!) the Sisters know Beasts and Life and the Singer knows Shadow to help out those Skaven combats with Debuffs. Something delectably horrible is Skaven Wither + The Withering. If the T reaches 0, the unit counts as destroyed, no saves. Heh, eat that BOTWD. Waywatchers are there because i won't leave home without them.
What do you think? Maybe Waywatchers should beat it for Wild Riders? Glade Guard for Glade Riders?
Thanks guys.
