Hello Dakka forums. I didn't notice any topics on this so I figured I would post about this. Over the past month I have noticed that the Eldar Autarch model with the swooping hawk wings is no longer available on both the U.S. and U.K. webstore. Before it was removed the page said that it was out of stock and is no longer available, a shame since that is such a nice model. But recently I have noticed that the Autarch on Jetbike upgrade kit is currently no longer available on the U.S. store as well? Is this a sign of things to come? I would like to hear your thoughts on this so post away!

Was that kit ever finecast? It seems crazy that they would just yank it.

Haven't the mods said that this kind of post is a little premature? Things go out of print/temporarily unavailable all the time as far as I know, and this doesn't necessarily mean anything. Correct me if I'm wrong...

Autarch on Jetbike conversion kit was Finecast, yeah. I actually was considering ordering it the other week since the torso would work really well for a plain ol' Autarch on foot.

Also, from Saturday to today it now has a big old "SOLD OUT" put all over the main image and is "No Longer Available".

Yup it was indeed finecast. Now the only Autarch model left is the one with the plasma gun and scorpion chainsword, which IMO doesn't look quite as cool as the one with wings does.

That's what I thought when I first noticed it a little over a month ago so I didn't post anything but now that it is completely gone and the jetbike conversion kit is looking to disappear as well I thought it might be time to make a post about it.

The Finecast Autarch with wings was horrible.
It had holes in the cloak, due to it being too thin. The hand holding the power sword was so flimsy that the finger broke off.
I'm trying to think of a way to keep the Finecast jetbike-autarch's lance straight. I might have to score a groove underneath it and insert a rod.

With any luck they'll replace them with new dynamically-posed plastic models.

The Autarch on Jetbike is now back as "Shipping within 24 hours" and has had the "No Longer Available" tag removed.
Prince Yriel, Baharroth, Maugan-Ra, and the Farseer+Warlocks box are now "Temporarily Out of Stock".


There might have been some flummox yesterday with their stock management system, or they found they still had some in the warehouse, or they pulled the item too early or any number of possible things.

Or they received stock from stores or FLGS that they now wish to sell rather than junk. Either way we know they are no longer making them in finecast so supplies will be limited until we see plastics.

Conversion set is available in Germany but the Guy with Wings is gone

I can't imagine that they received stock from stores/FLGS.

The Autarch on Jetbike conversion kit was launched in Finecast as a "Direct Only" item as far as I can remember.

I'll second the post that said the model is awful (as in the cast) I had to go through 4 blister packs and mix and match parts to get one without holes.

As mentioned the cloak gets holes in it, the fingers snap off as they are ironically too fine for "finecast", worst was one set of fingers was wrecked at the bottom, multiple bubbles in the feathers, completely removing the smaller featehrs in some parts.

Fingers crossed the do release a plastic set with all the options, just like the space marine captain

I wouldn't get my hopes up for anything like the Space Marine Captain(if you're referring to the boxed set with all the trimmings), as they have not done anything like that in some time.

They did re-do the multipart captain, it’s just they bundled them 5 to a box and misprinted it with either “Sternguard” or “Vanguard” veterans.

I made myself a decent bike autarch out of dire avenger parts. Long term, I think more plastic aspect boxes are the way to go, seeing that the autarch is basically a mish-mash of different aspect’s gear. I don’t see how they could do one kit with all the options, and mono-pose is very restrictive.

I'm glad I still have an unopened metal Swooping Hawk Autarch blister.
