So for my current Minotaurs project I have reached a dilemma. Should I get Tartaros pattern terminators with forgeworld decals or GW terminators with forgeworld shoulderpads. I will be running Asterion Moloc, if that helps your decision, and putting all in a Land Raider crusader.

Asterion has Tartaros, so Tartaros

Normal Termies (or possibly dark angel ones for DV) and just convert them up. Probs will be cheaper to convert to Tartaros than buy em for FW

Well I just got Asterion from FW so the Termies will be my purchase next after he arrives.
I plan on using these Scibor shields as storm shields (no, not my idea lol, saw someone else on the interwebz doing it)

If you don't mind spending the money, I'd go Tartaros. Really cool armour and it fits with the Minotaurs getting all the best, rare equipment, and they'll match Moloc then.

I have encountered this same question. After getting Asterion and buying a Spartan for him to hit up the grocery store in style, I opted for the FW shoulder pads and GW terminators (It is cheaper if you want a 10 man squad). I think you can use the GW terminators and they will fit in with the army, especially if you use the Spartan shields and get the Minotaurs doors for their Land Raider.

I would almost for the Cataphractii Terminators instead. Another option is the GW termies with shoulderpads like these.

while I do agree the Cataphractii looks awesome, it doesn't tie in with the lore as well.

thanks for your personal story. I am not too stressed about cost though. Such a tough choice!

That is my line of reasoning down this train of thought.

I used Tartaros for tactical terminators (they're only every so slightly more expensive than plastic termies for tacticals), and regular converted ones for assault termies. Honestly, canonically they use both in large numbers, so a mixed unit might be a cool idea; buy a set of each and run 10 terminators of glory.

I run 20, and sometimes they don't even fail completely!

cool idea, mixed will eventually be a great idea. For now I will only be using 5 though.
