Hey guys, im looking for suggestions on an all monster legions of chaos army, obvious choice is throgg and trolls as core, but can you guys suggest anything else?

How about a minostar to join your trollstar? Then dump the rest into proper monsters? Here's a skeleton:

Doombull - usual kit
Magic Dude - disc sorcerer?

Throgg
Gorebull BSB - protecty kit

8 Trolls
7 Trolls
5 Ungor Raiders - musician
5 Ungor Raiders - musician

6 Minotaurs - full command, gw or ahw
Razorgor
Razorgor

Some monster or two

Something like that. Throgg's got his posse and another pack of trolls to thug up the line, while the mino characters form a ridiculous kill squad with their mino friends. Some dude does magic - a disc rider can fly solo and doesn't care about much of anything - while raiders and razorgor are awesome chaff that do chaffy things. Also you have a shooting phase?! And whatever monster(s) you like / think are good. I like shaggoths w/ ahw, the Internet likes chimeras w/ regen + flaming breath.

The core here is 9 points under 25%, which is easily fixed by buying a couple raiders, or a couple champs, or another unit, or I guess ahw for the trolls (I wouldn't recommend, not really worth the points). Or I suppose you could get some warhounds? Razors are better chaff though - harpies as well.

Also: somebody needs the blackened plate, maybe the gorebull? Or doombull? Or can the mino-champ? If you see somebody with the flaming banner aiming for the trolls, shove the minos in instead and counter their counter with a vengeance

Thanks what is the usual loading for a mino lord, since I haven't used them yet, and what does the blackened plate do? Is that the one that turns off magic weapons?

I think the usual mino lord is:

Doombull - sword of swift slaying (ASF), ramhorn helm, dawnstone, gnarled hide, shield, heavy armor

Thing has a 1+ rerollable armor save, and every save it makes lets it attak the thing that hit it again. Plus a buttload of S6 attaks that usually reroll to hit. Also D3 S6 impact hits. I think there are points for TOTS too?

Gorebull probably rocks armor of destiny + ahw, and I'd go with gw on the minos, for murder - plus the models look better with them

Well you just cost me a fair bit of dosh, bought 12 trolls and a doom bull lol, so I'm thinking throgg, trolls as you suggested, minos for special, your mino lord, a shaggoth (cos I likes em) not sure what else, just don't want any umies in the army, just creatures and monsters!

Yessssssss

Doombulls are pretty brilliant, as are quite a few things from the beasts book actually. Magic carpet doombulls are another thought, and you can solo the build i posted pretty readily, once canons are out of the way. Arguably better, as you're more likely to get enemy attaks into him that way, and generating extra attaks without shedding CR to wounds ...

Level 4 nurgle sorcerer, palinquin of nurgle, skull and familier, this is my counts as troll swamp hag. Lore of death or nurgle, not sure.

Here's a listy version of all that, with I think correct points:

You're going to need to trim to fit in your palanquin level 4, almost certainly from the drogres, but that solves the question of whether to run all 6 together or in 2x 3 - just run 4 together and spend the rest on the sorcerer As for his gear, I suppose it depends on how many points you end up having free. Ward save is always nice, and I might take a dispel scroll over the skull, to neuter some of that unrelenting magic coming your way.

But seriously, your doombull is going to get SO juiced up fighting all those squishy undead
