Hello, all! I'm a fairly new Warmahordes player, and I acquired the Cygnar starter box as well as the all-in-one army box, and I have questions regarding how I should assemble my heavy warjacks.

I'm thinking the one I will assemble as a Centurion, because it sounds like the Hammersmith and Avenger aren't as useful (let me know if you disagree with that), but my question is more specifically on the Ironclad from the starter box and the Heavy 'jack kit from the army box. I'm thinking I should assemble one as a Defender, and the other as a Cyclone. When I looked into it, it seems that the common idea people have reached, is that if you want an Ironclad, you should just spend the couple of extra points to get Ol' Rowdy, so I figured I'd just buy Rowdy for when I want to use him. Supposedly, the Cyclone hasn't seen much use since the Stormwall was introduced, but I doubt I'll be playing high enough points for a Stormwall anytime soon.

What do you guys think?

Kingdom Death Fanatic. Dark Eldar: Kabal of the Fragile Breath. Dark Elves: Allegiance to the Black Crown. Also, Masons, Cygnar, and Legion of Everblight. All unnamed.

Holy gak that is an awesome username. Please tell me your army is called Kabal of the Fragile Breath. Morathi's Darkest Sin has some competition here for best handle, I think.

1 word for you, "magnetize". Especially the Iron Clad. This way you have very flexible army choices. Kara Sloan would love to have a Cyclone and Defender. While Seige would probably rather have a Defender and an Iron Clad. Some day you may want to experiment with 2 of any of the same type. Just having the choice is worth the time and it's not that hard to find a tutorial on how to magnetize that particular combo.

Fair thought, I've never done magnetizing, so it just frightens me a bit. If it helps, my favorite caster is Haley.

I'd go double defender before you built an ironclad or cyclone.

If you are going to play battle box games, the ironclad is required. Aside from that, there are usually better uses of focus or a jack marshal.

Avenger is used with siege to create a firing lane, but as a rule centurion is the most useful jack on that chassis. Keep in mind, there are plenty of old metal centurions floating around, but you need the plastic kit for an avenger.

Magnets are super easy. Just remember polarity.

and keep them away from children and pets. They are dangerous if swallowed.

I can give you tons of tips, but they are easy to learn and use. And the warjacks kits are possibly the easiest kits to magnetize in the world.
