I put together a tutorial on using Vallejo's sand paste to base minis quickly. You could base an entire army from black plastic to decent looking in about 5 hours (including drying time) using this stuff and I thought it was worth showing it off a bit.

Really awesome video, adding small details like flock or skulls would be a synch and make the base pop even more! Thanks for the great video.

The sand paste can be bought at any place that stocks Vallejo products. I picked it up from Element games in the UK, but you should be able to find it or ask your local game store to order some for you.
