Seems like there's hope that army specific sound boards might start appearing more often.

I understand that a Necron sound board is also in development to be used on mobile devices... just like the Tau sound board.

Anyone think this is a worth while effort?
What armies would you like to see as a Sound board? - if so... would you use it at a game table?
If you could choose one army to be made into a sound board (next) which one would it be?

Some of those sound bites are way too long to be practical to use in a game. Otherwise they are cool.

The first two (at the top of the board) are pretty long, with lots of speech. They are cool, though.

There really needs to be a Sisters of Battle one. And one of just... bolters and meltas and flamers and other, general, Imperium-and-related armies weapons

Its just a regular website, except with sound files. So please expect it to take about 10 seconds to load


There are now EXPLOSIONS on the Sound Board.

There has been a lot of work done on the sound board recently. Testing infantry weapon fire (in this case Tau) for sets of fire.

By the way... the next sound clip is the Ion weaponry. Tau seem to have so much Ion weapons... good grief! I think I am on the hook for 9 sounds. 3 of them have Nova reactor overcharge sounds....

This is good stuff, especially since we just got into a massive battle in my DH/OW campaign. It sets the mood excellently, running on multiple laptops and phones to have lots of things going on all at once.

It takes a LOT of time to tweak up the sounds to work together - balanced correctly -, and also sound "correct" to match people's imaginations. Trust me... getting the sound right is a tall order for gaming communities.

32 days work, several hundred songs previewed, 83 or so chosen, 46 finalists. Thanks to all the great community support at Advanced Tau Tatica.
The next edition of the Tau music score is ready. Its a 2 hour special, meant to cover a 2000pt game.

Yes, making a Flash sound board is actually super easy. But as anyone sees Flash does not work on mobile device. Sound boards like this would have been awesome to carry over to an actual game, and play it at the game.
That's why I took up HTML5 and wrote the sound board from scratch, so we could take it to a 40k game.
Something to do with... mobile devices dropping SWF Flash files. Not sure about android, but at least with IOS, I can't load an SWF player.

Anyways... still working on a way to get the HTML5 sound board to load faster... but... then... at least it does load on a mobile device. I guess.

Holy cow can we get one of these for the Imperium? Awesome stuff.

As a matter of fact the two next sound boards I'm planning: "Necron" and "Imperial Guard".

I'm still working out a few bugs... like getting it to load on mobile devices faster. However, I'm almost finished the Tau. So.. next sound boards are coming soon

PS: What forum would you recommend as the "defacto" Imperial Guard forum to start generating interest? DakkaDakka is one of THE most popular, but maybe better to find a focused forum to draw a community project together?

So... this has happened!! After 3 weeks working with a Music Store aggregate and iTunes, finally its completed.
