Hi dakka building a tau list that should win most games but my friends won't cry every time they have to play it.

Storm surge w/ tl sms, pulse driver cannon. ewo, cds 385 pts

Firebase support cadre: 705pts

2 x 3 man squads of missilesides w/ 5 missile drones per squad 255 x 2 pts
Riptide w/ ion accelerator, tl pr, ewo, cds 195 pts

Tactics:

1.Build a gun line w/ fire warriors screening missilesides and stormsurge, ethereal in the middle, riptide near missilsides and pathfinders in ethereal's bubble
2.Ambush w/ crisis and commander
3.Once the ambush has taken out the big tanks use the coordinated firepower special rule and marker lights to take out the powerful units in my my friends' / :grey knight: / armies

You know the whole list is Unbound right? So you can't use Coordinated Firepower.

It is certainly not remotely competitive. Fire warriors are pretty poor fielding so many when you have loads of S5 from Broadsides and Stormsurge is a waste not even taking DS8s on them is baffling. Mixing weapons on Crisis suits is a big no no. CDS on a model that can't overwatch is also just bizarre.
