Hi always happy to see new people fighting for the Greater Good!

First off are those the models you are working with?
Is this your first list, too? You may want to run a slightly smaller one to get a feel for things first too.
Also, you ALWAYS need more Marketlights You have 15 from four sources by my count, which isnt too bad imo. Remember the are heavy so pathfinder moving fire snapshots. Drones do not, but they have BS 2 and really need a drone controller to be useful. So keep those things in mind when choosing Marketlight sources. If there isn't much cover for your the Pathfinders are gonna be toast fast.

The immediate thing I see is the Stormsurge. I don't think you have the firepower to protect it and 400+pts for a distraction unit is a hefty price to pay. Also what upgrades did you give it to get it to 410?

Also def take a MSSS and CNN on the commander. I would drop the Stim injector, gauntlet, and Target lock for them.

I also think you need to check the Riptide points. A stim injector for a Riptide is 35pts (still worth it), and are you using the Ion Accelerator or HBC?

I will have to check points again. Why no Feel no pain on commander? He will likely be warlord.

The stormsurge is there with interceptor to take out ant deep strikers behind gun line which i am worried about. Still think not to take stormsurge?

What would you give this list out of 10? I typically do 1500 point games

Using ion accelerator

Most Tau players I know/see making lists use the Buffmander model for the commander. with the 2+ save and and T5 he will be hard enough to kill in whatever unit he is buffing. I think the FNP on the commander is just a little redundant. Especially since you have bigger threats on the field to draw fire. (i.e. Storm surge)

As to the stormsurge, It would wreck a lot of DS units. But it is not very mobile and requires more firepower from other sources to protect it. (it has a ton of firepower but you really need to build your list around keeping it alive).

I would definitely look at some other lists around here, too.

I think I'd give it a 6-7ish out of 10 if you want a number. I just think it has some vulnerabilities still.

Also remember we just got some killer new formations (even some of the odder ones have merit in my mind). Definitely worth looking into some or the Hunter Contingent. You have the makings for it I am pretty sure.

I would fiddle with the wargear. Then give it a try. It may rock your meta, i don't know what its like where you are after all. I would be interested in hearing how your first few games go, though.
