Hi all! I am a very big fan of Mierce minis and all of the awesome stuff that they release. I've been wanting to get some models for a time, but I am also curious about the actual game. I can't find any real reviews anywhere, and I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about the actual Darklands game? Thanks!

Well, all the rules and musters are here..

So I guess you could have a read, even have a few games and proxy some units.

There's some guys on here that are big fans, so I'm sure they'll be along to give a much better overview than I could, but there's no substitute for personal experience IMO.

Big Darklands fan here. The thing I like about Darklands is stunning models and the background just oozes atmosphere. It really draws you in. I've played Darklands a couple of times (though only the Quickstarter Beta rules). It's got a good mixture of mechanics from Epic: Armageddon and Warmachine. The best sources I can recommend are these following battle reports:

There was also a recent tournament in the UK, Sheffield Slaughter, which was quite a success for a new game system and another one coming in June in Coventry.

Sorry for lack of reply, been busy. Those rules definitely look interesting, and I don't know how I missed them on the website lol. But yeah the armies and the concept seems really intriguing to me, and I am definately either gonna get some of the Ysians of Byzantii in the near future. Many thanks to both of you!

The rules have a lot of crunch in them, but I'll admit I'm biased towards rulesets like this, and I love 'em!

I've heard from multiple sources that it is a ruleset that may take a few games to feel comfortable with, but then you'll be off and running.
