Firelock Games is in the middle of an awesome kickstarter:

Out of the $15,000 goal has been blown out of the water (naval pun definitely intended) with, at time of writing, over $127,000. Wow. People REALLY like the idea of pillaging small coastal villages.

I've already pledged two of the $550 levels and paid for both Brigantines to be upgraded to Frigates (so my fleet is now 2 sloops, 4 frigates. Fear the mighty British Navy). And they have some truly nice free gifts. For just a single army you still get free dice, cards, minis, accessories, etc.

I have spoken with Firelock directly, and they quote there is something "special" at 200k, and something "amazing" at 250k. I've done my part to make this a reality; $1,100 is not exactly small change to me. Will you take to the high seas as well? If ye do, make sure to pay for a Frigate! Or you'll regret tangling with those who did!

If the Op from this thread would like to C&P their post across, that would be admirable.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.
