How do necrons look on their new 32mm bases. I know marines look amazing on 32"s and was wondering if others think it's worth replacing the bases on crons. Thanks!

I don't know for sure how they look onthe new bases since the only Necrons I've seen are my mates old models, but I imagine that the regular Necron warriors wouldn't be bulky enough (as models) to look good on the larger bases. For Space Marines it's fine because they're bulkier models, but Necrons I'm not so sure about.

Are you building (or planning to build) a Necron army?

I got a used starter army that is on 25"s. So debating changing them out but I agree I don't know if they are bulky enough to worry about. If their feet did not hand over I would leave them for sure.

Ahkk. Well what you can always do is when you get around to buying another Necron set that comes with 32mm bases, see what you think of the models on 32mm bases (probably don't glue them, but maybe just place them on the bases and see how the look). Then that makes the decision for 25 vs 32 a bit easier.

I still think that you'd like them better, but that might be my bias speaking haha

Immortals and characters look fine.

Warriors do look a tad small on the bigger bases but if you hate how they are crammed onto the standard bases, you'd probably prefer the bigger ones.

I'm still undecided on mine so would love some pics if anyone has them on the bigger bases!

are the 25mm the standard ones that the models hang over the edges on? If so my whole army runs 32mm, check out my gallery for an idea on sizing. I think they look proportional and less awkward.

32 mm doesn't look strange to me. They are bigger then your average marine.

And they hardly fit on a 25mm base

I think they tend to look better on the larger bases.

No. Weapons like plasma guns become even more obsolete of a choice with bigger bases. It's modeling for advantage.

warhammer 40k mmo. If I can drive an ork trukk into the back of a space marine dread and explode in a fireball of epic, I can die happy!

Guessing you mean plasma cannons (small blasts)? I don't see how a larger base affects plasma guns.
In which case why would I gimp myself with your answer of no?

larger bases result in less hits with all sorts of templates.

I voted 25mm, since they can pack tightly together and looks cool. But after seeing the picture; 32mm for sure.

The warriors kit comes with 32mm bases. How is that MFA?

32mm definitely.

I have a squad of 25s and 2 squads of 32s and the 32s look infinitely better. I want all my units to have 32s now; my Deathmarks look quite delicate on their 25s!

I don't like the 32mm base on either the Necrons or marines. It just seems silly that the soldiers wouldn't be willing to huddle close together to better use cover or whatever other reason they'd need to. And I am fairly certain that not having personal space is part of being a soldier, but I don't have any experience with that so I am just guessing.

That and my pewter immortals can't really be transferred to different bases and it is very important to me that my army is uniform, it is part of the theme. As well as a whole slew of other modeling based reasons.
