You can't take an allied detachment that has the same faction as your primary detachment.

I suppose you're playing without using the FAQ, because it would affect the breacher + ethereal in a devilfish quite a lot.

You don't have anything to deal with flyers, and almost nothing that can hurt AV14.

I would add two missile pods + target lock on the commander, so his BS5 doesn't go to waste, and it's a good synergy with the marker lights (I suppose he's going to join the 8 marker drones).
You can also buy two drones as upgrades, and remove two drones from the squad (to save 4pts). But actually I would split the drone squadron into two squads of 4, as 8 BS5 markerlights seem like an overkill. That many markerlights is only useful against flyers because you only hit on 6s, but then two squads of 4 would achieve the same result (because the BS5 is irrelevant), but in most situations you have an opportunity to shoot at another target.
To deal with AV14 you could add a single crisis suit with dual fusion.

Also, why do you have ATS on the ghostkeel?

True. I suppose I should maybe put Velocity Trackers on the Broadsides instead?

The reason I didn't do that to start was because I don't trust BS2 markerlights. Adding the Crisis Suit seems like a good idea, I'll do that.

Also, why do you have ATS on the ghostkeel?

If you split the Broadsides into two units, the flier coverage will be pretty good. You won't kill one outright, but you should force them to Jink, or have a decent chance to be Shaken and force them to Snapshoot anyway.

the Y'vahra can smash one high AV target very effectively. If you're planing against multiple AV14 threats, use the allied CAD Troops to add Suicide Fusion.

For 35 points it's a good bit of shooting. Alternatively you could give him a CnC Node to Twin Link Marker Drones. This is great if you see lots of FMCs, Fliers, or Invis.

I find I would rather take the Twin Linked Interceptor, that helps against all Reserves (and is cheap) vs the Skyfire, which is more situational and much more expensive.

What's in the FAQ that effects breachers in devilfish + the ethereal?

In the GW FAQ, when a transport Jinks, the passengers are considered to have Jinked. Unless they clarify the language, that includes Snapshooting the next turn. You could also claim a 4+ coversave after you disembark. In the final draft GW might specify only embarked passengers count as having Jinked, which many seem to think is the intent, we will have to wait and see.
