May be failing a little at it, wanted to post here before I go to get the models to be sure. It's to play with a friend, non competitive Want something that will do ok against them however, just not dominate the table.

I'm about 90% sure he's going Necrons, unknown list.

Here's what I have for now.

Eldar 999/1000 points

Hq

Farseer on jetbike, Witchblade for weapon.

Elites

9 Fire Dragons

Troops

11 Dire Avengers (maybe split into 2 groups 6/5?)

9 Windriders with scatter laser

Fast Attack

1 Vyper with Scatter Laser and Holo-Field

2 Vypers with Bright Lance

Heavy Support

Fire Prism with Shuriken Cannon

Wanted a list I could grow a little with, maybe adding a Wraithknight and such as we add in the points, but that would depend on how the games go with the first list. (Plus, the start collecting Eldar.. gives me a few of the models in this list.. bonus!)

9 fire dragons is over kill. In shooting, 6 will hit, most likely to pen within 6 inches and 2 or 3 of them rolling 5+ to blow up a tank. 6 FDs, with exarch or not, is plenty. If you own a tenth model, simply have two FD units.

With the FDs handling anti-tank duties, the viper's BL is duplicitous. Better to have another ScatLas for more anti-infantry. Also, I run elves with pretty much all Str 6 guns, and most encountered tanks are not an issue, i.e. Battle Co. Rhinos and razorBs, which at 1k games, won't show up anyhow.

Also, split up your scatbikes into 5 and 4, or 3 groups of 3. A group of nine is too big a foot print and gets easily assaulted, and then your great ScatLas is tied up with a sissy Str elf in h2h.

On the Fire Dragons, points wise, looks better to go with 5 and an Exarch, so adjusted that

The bikes, I was thinking of 3 groups of 3, maybe the Farseer joining one. Just.. maybe too tired to type it all out right, rushed because I needed sleep.

Adjusted the army in Battlescribe, and came out to 943 points. Don't see anything to add for the remaining points just yet. (maybe more dragons?)

And, thank you for the tips on the list

57 points?

For the farseer, Spirit stone of Anath'lan & singing spear. And promote a Dire Avenger to exarch and give it a shield & pw toy.

Or if you own one more jetbike, a warlock on a bike.

And yer welcome.

Added that to Battlescribe, list seems to be looking a lot better now, and at 996/1000 points. (the first one, not the jetbike)

Don't own any yet, but will start picking some up here and there, unless I get lucky and see a whole army with exactly what I need on eBay. Wanted to play around with a list, make sure I knew what to look for and get.

Thanks again
