So I'm going to be going to my first proper tournament with 40 players (and prizes) and would like some feedback on this list I know there is a lack of anti air but I've never had too many issues with that. They are using ETC FAQS and we are limited to 3 detachments. I'm going to try and get invis on tigurius as well as Sevrin who will hop out and into the conclave unit to get invis on the knights and the conclave. There are no eternal war like missions and are all maelstrom based. . And also looking for who should be my warlord?

Tripartite Lance

Knight Crusader (rapid fire battle cannon) 430pts
Knight Warden 375pts
Knight Gallant (meltagun) 330pts

Librarius conclave:

Tigurius 165pts
lvl 2 librarian (force sword) 90pts
lvl 2 librarian (force sword) 90ps

Allied detachment:

Sevrin Loth 175pts

Scouts 5x (camo cloaks sniper rifles) 70pts

tactical squad (rhino grav gun melta bomb)
sergeant gets narthecium via chapter tactics 125pts

Librarians join scouts for some cover save ablative wounds and to make it so grav wounds on 4s
Tripartite lance is obviously the main part of this list

Please feel free to make as many criticisms as you like. Also what would you guys say I should do when going to a tournament for the first time

Would you guys swap the tacticals for a thunderfire cannon? Bolster terrain would give the scouts a 2+ cover making them hard to shift

Getting some feedback would be really helpful

If your goal is Invisibility, the Conclave is kinda overkill and one unit of Scouts can't protect them. Loth is guaranteed Invisibility amirite?, so just take him in a Combined Arms Detachment within a unit or two that can really protect him. Some mobile Objective Secured units will help too.

The plan would be that both the conclave and loth get invis and in movement phase loth leaves the conclave and casts invis on them whilst the conclave cast invis on the knights then in the shooting phase Loth runs back into the conclave leaving the scouts invis with a 3+ cover in ruins or Loth will take the wounds with a 2+ invuln and yes Loth is guaranteed invis

Independent Characters can only join other units in the Movement Phase.

K looks like I'm going to have to go for veil of time with the other 2 libbies get sevrin a 2+ rerollable invuln. However depending on my opponent my powers will change to fit the situation best the situation above is if I'm playing a very hard hitting strength D list as otherwise I can move the knights around to get max Ion shield coverage and pull weakened knights into a position where they are less likely to be taking the damage

If your opponent are also Psychic Heavy, like Tzeentch Daemon or Eldar, let Loth grab the Librarius discipline, take Veil of Time, Psychic Scorch and Psychic fortress, and Tigirius fish for Invisibility from Telepathy and shrouding. The Librarius discipline is actually the one suited for psychic duels. Meanwhile, shrouding and Veil of time would give the Scouts a rerollable 2+ cover save, So unless you are facing Tau, your opponent will have a hard time to dig you out.

You need a way to protect that conclave. There are to many drop pod formations right now and if you go 2nd then you are giving them first blood, slay the warlord and 5 kill points before you even get to go. you may want to consider term Armour with shields on that conclave. or dont take loth and take a squad of INQ acolytes and coteaz for +2 ML and 15 pt models with storm shields and power swords. that way grav guns will hit you on 5s or 6s rather then 3s and you have a good sturdy unit that can take a few hits for pretty cheap. and you could always add term Armour or heavy guns to the squad if you needed to.
This way you could grab invis first then go for rerollable saves with the rest and have a 3+ rerollable for the command squad.
hope the list works out for you

Funnily enough I tried this list earlier and and found psychic scourge to be the bane of heralds it was on tiggy however as he got veil of time he killed 2 slaneeshi heralds and 1 tzeetch herald by doing it over and over again and null zone really screws daemon lists he grimoired a bloodthirster (d variant) then had that removed by null zone and he got splatted. I mean the good thing about the powers is that I have the ability to adapt a bit for example eldar jet bikes and ill go for phase form also helps with warp spiders.

the drop pods are gonna be rough if I'm playing a drop list I'm likely to start with just the knights on the board as hopefully I can get max ion shield coverage I wont die instantly and should hopefully keep the lobbies safe if not they will hide in a rhino in a ruin and get out the side they cant see me when they blow up

However in good news if we didn't have to stop playing I would have won by tabling (it was a 1v1v1) daemons of slaneesh (couple of summoned tzeetch heralds too) vs murderhorde houndstar vs my list

Thanks for the feedback though much appreciated

Upon thinking about it I decided how much better that would be how does this list sound?

Tripartite Lance:

Knight Warden 375pts
Knight Gallant 325pts

Librarius Conclave:
Tigurius 165pts
Lvl 2 libby 90pts
Lvl 2 libby 90pts

INQ detachment:
HQ Coteaz 100pts

Henchman unit: 100pts
5 crusaders
1 priest

Henchman unit: 82pts:
2x acolytes with melta guns
pysker
Razorback:
Pysbolt ammunition

Henchman unit: 92pts:
3x acolytes with flamers
pysker
Razorback

Plan is that Coteaz picks swaps his powers for sanctuary + hammerhand allowing for a hopefully 2+ rerollable invuln

Tried the list with the inquisition earlier it went great and was able to table my opponent (he's also going to the tourney) however I do suffer a bit from objectives but hopefully all my cards won't be secure objective x I only lost the acolyte squads and there Razorbacks and a single crusader

Got to play a game against the main style of list I feel I'm weak against an alpha strike list.

Now I got first turn and hot all the buffs I needed to up and coteaz went for sanctuary and he got it perils rolled a 1 and failed his leadership test greatly cutting down my crusaders his sky hammer hit turn 1 with a unit of heavy bolters to kill the Crusaders and grav cannons as once I lost my crusaders I'm on a majority 3+ save he failed to achieve this and his obsec Demi company units dropped in and melted both my Razorbacks turn 1 ultimately it ended 10-9 to him and if I had counted my points correctly 10-10 and if the game had gone on another turn then he would've lost on points and had it gone on a turn after that he would have been tabled
