I was really inspired by the Warhammer TV coverage of the event so have decided to throw myself at the game in a more constructive way. I've picked up the handbook and the Sylvaneth battletome and have a question on organising battalions and Wargroves.

A Free Spirits battalion is comprised of 1 son of Durthu and 3 units of Kurnoth Hunters. It terms of matched points value this would be the cost of the models + the cost of the Free Spirits battalion warscroll. My question is that if I want to have the army be a part of the Heartwood Wargrove do I just add the cost of that battalion scroll onto the army as a whole i.e. pay the price once . Or is it a per battalion warscroll cost?

My second question then is; Is it possible to have multiple Wargroves each comprised of a single battalion in one army? i.e. Free Spirits battalion (Heartwood Wargrove) and a Forrest Folk battalion (Harvestboon Wargrove)

I suppose this applies to the Bonesplitterz and Beastclaw raiders too.

You pay the price for both the battalion and the Wargrove. So, a Heartwood Wargrove is 100 pts. without any models.

Heartwood Wargrove (60)
Free Spirits (40)

Your second question is a little more complex. You can use as many battalions as you have points to represent. For instance, if you're using a Heartwood Wargrove and you want to use the Free Spirits and Forest Folk, you can as long as you pay the points for both battalions. You can also use two different wargroves (to represent a larger battle where two wargroves may join forces), but you'd need to pay all the points costs for all the special rules. Also, no matter what you use, if you do not include battleline units in your battalions, you will need to add them in.

Hope that helps.

Daemons 3000 pts.
