Subject: [1000] - Space Wolves, Tau, Tyranid Teaching Games
I used to play back in 5th but stopped playing after life got busy for a while. I was going through all my old models and my wife asked if I could teach her how to play. Then my father in law who is part of our Pathfinder group asked to learn as well. They are currently playing Tau and Tyranids respectively while I am playing my Space Wolves. Between making sure I understand the new core rules thoroughly as well as their codex special rules I haven't been able to spend as much time reading up on their armies tactics as I would like so I want to get some opinions on their lists. We are just going up to 1000 points from 500 and these are teaching games so I'm not trying to fill them up with cheesy units but rather build lists that represent the army as a whole.

Get some flying critters to inject into in the Nids list. Not right away mind you...anything that starts on the board in the first turn and actually flies will force both the Tau and the Wolves to re-think their tactics and lists.
I don't break the rules but I'll bend them as far as they'll go.
