Seeing as it is a stand-alone game, a thread of its own shouldn't be too out of place. If so mods, please lock and tell my family I loved them.
https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/01/02/gangs-of-commorragh-coming-soon/
The deadly aerial manoeuvres and breakneck speed of the turf wars of Commorragh are soon coming to a battlefield near you.
Gangs of Commorragh allows you to recreate the violent skirmish battles for territorial supremacy that are waged constantly in the spires of the Dark City. Take charge of a feral gang of Hellion skyboarders, or a pack of lethal Reavers and carve out your empire in the webway’s last great city.
The box is an entirely self-contained game, giving you everything you need to play, including two gangs, rules and card scenery to recreate the jagged towers of Commorraggah’s forbidding skyline.
You can play quick one-off games, or a full campaign in which your gang will grow and develop as you win battles and claim more territory.
All in, Gangs of Commorragh is looking pretty exciting, and we’ll have more news about this new box game very soon.
Until then, watch the skies…*

Contents unveiled: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/01/10/whats-in-the-box-gangs-of-commorragh/
Last week, we teased the upcoming Gangs of Commorragh box.
Well, we’ve just got our first box into the office and we thought we’d share with you a few details of what’s inside.
First off, the cover art of the box is very cool: an evocative battle of blade and bolt at high speed through the spires of the Dark City. We see a Hellion and a Reaver trading blows at near-supersonic speeds – off to a good start.
Opening it up, we can see the box is packed with stuff. There are no less than 6 Reaver Jetbikes and 10 Hellion skyboarders in there. Even for the models alone, this set is a great deal and a perfect place to start for anyone wanting to collect an airborne force from the Dark City.
The idea with this box, though, is that these form rival gangs that will battle for supremacy and loot though the spires of the Dark Eldar’s decadent capital. Speaking of which, you get some spires – cardboard pinnacles of Commorragh’s many towers that your gang can expertly weave around (or, if you’re unlucky – collide with…)
The game itself is entirely self-contained set, and all the rules you need to play are in the box. There is a quick start guide for those who want to get battling straight away, quick reference cards for both players, and a more detailed rulebook for those who want even more depth to their games, including expansive rules for a campaign.
Gangs of Commorragh really comes into its own in campaign play. Each warrior can advance, gain skills and be equipped with all the usual wargear you’d expect from Reavers or Hellions. While the customisation of individual models is high, the campaign mechanics themselves are simple and scalable, allowing anything from a couple to dozens of participants, making it ideal for a gaming club.
For those who want, you can also expand your murder-pack into a more powerful gang with more Hellions and Reavers from the Dark Eldar range (though you get easily enough to start off with in the box, with models to spare in both gangs).
We’ll have more news on the gameplay itself very soon, as well as a few gangs that the studio created to test the game out in the office.

Might be interesting... I'd probably only get it for the game though. Got lots of Dark Eldar.

So this is basically a new Necromunda? Nice.
Can't wait to see more.

Not seeing how it's anything like Necromunda? It's Reavers and Hellions.

It's a gang based game set in a spire where you battle over territory and your gang grows with experience and skills. That sounds like Necromunda to me :-)
A spiritual successor is what I meant. Obviously I understand it's all Dark Eldar gangs.

Not the minis, but that line harkens back a lot to necromunda/gorkamorka.

It's good to see more campaign features put into these boxed sets. Kill Team and Stormcloud Assault also have room for both one-offs and campaign based play.

I actually like that they're doing it with more 40,000-centric factions instead of gangs. My main problem with Mordheim (other than the beardcheese my friend liked to play) was that it didn't feel like it was set in the 40k universe to me. Although, I completely understand that there are plenty of other people that feel the exact opposite. Maybe we'll get a bit of everything... they seem to be growing Warhammer Quest (slowly), so who knows. I'm willing to be optimistic about ca. 2016-2017 Games Workshop.

Uhm, unless you mean Necromunda, Mordheim is a fantasy game.

When you put it like that yeah it does. Just felt quite different where everything is on a jetbike or skyboard.

Xenos terrain?
That'll never catch on.
Unfortunately, this probably isn't a buy for me but it is good to see that they are continuing to put the Games back into GW.
For those with Dark Eldar armies already, if it's anything like Stormcloud Attack, you might be able to buy rules only later.

I wonder if it'll have "rolling terrain" like that Gorkamorka scenario did to simulate fast movement.

The obvious thought is that this is a way to shift models that aren't selling well. No one uses hellions, and the reavers, while popular, are too expensive.
It would be nice if the set included some new rules or formation for them.
The dream is that the set includes sprues and rules to make an Archon on jetbike or skyboard!

My greatest hope is that it would offer something amazing like that. But, as you said, it'll probably exist to shift slow-moving stock (ala the Gorechosen route).
Luckily, I do have Dark Eldar, so there may be some value in it for me!

Hellions are out of stock as of right now over at the UK / NE stores.
These games are mainly a gateway into the hobby at large, a taste of certain factions or for many of us, a means of getting some models rather cheaply or at a great discount.
So far none of their stand-alone boxed games have had anything new included, aside from custom decals and rules to play said games.

I didn't think I'd buy anymore 40k stuff, but self contained games like this are hard to resist... especially when it's my favorite army.

If it is like Necromunda it'll presumably be a much simpler take on it.
Would be cool if there's a scenario that plays like the old jetbike duel from back in the day, with the models moving slowly in one direction whilst all the scenery moves back in the other.

I'd bleed my wallet dry for Hellion models with better execution.

My guess is that we'll get a shiny model that comes with a box set exclusive. I think the model that was teased in the Rumour Engine will be in there, in my opinion. Also, which Hellions are you talking about? The current set are really nice. Just wish they'd done the beast master in plastic too...

I wouldn't count on any new models to go with this set. They didn't do it for Renegade, Stormcloud Assault or Kill Team either, aside from spiffy new decals.
