Expanding the Highborn Covenant with Ashlynn

After Starting with the Highborn Covenant and purchasing the items from The Highborn Covenant Toolbox, you might find yourself wanting to expand your army even further using Ashlynn d'Elyse.

What to Order


Two Jack City

Mule


  • PIP 41019

Ashlynn likes to have a second Mule in her army, but not necessarily in her battlegroup. So if you're comfortable counting on her ranged defenses instead of the Shield Guard ability from the Vanguard, then go ahead and include two Because she's a mercenary, you have a couple marshaling options.


Guarding the Forge

Horgenhold Forge Guard

  • PIP 41067 (Box, minimum unit)
  • PIP 41068 (Two blisters for a full unit)

Though they're slow on paper, the Forge Guard become significantly faster when Ashlynn casts the Quicken Spell on them. In addition, their Smite Ability is a Critical Effect benefiting from Ashlynn's Roulette Feat.

A Second 'Jack Marshall

Sam Mahorne and the Devil Dogs

  • PIP 41010 (Box, Minimum unit)
  • PIP 41011 (Two blisters for a full unit)

Sam Mahorne can be used to marshal warjacks, Drive them, and boost to pull off a critical devastation shot. Once a target is down, the Devil Dogs can trash them with their pick-axes, dealing additional damage.

The Nyss Option

Cylena Raefyll and the Nyss Hunters

  • PIP 41031 (Box, Minimum Unit)
  • PIP 41032 (Two blisters for a full unit)

Nyss Hunters can use the Combined Ranged Attack Ability to support a dancing Ashlynn, and they provide a second wave close combat unit with their Weapon Master Ability.
