Redbeard's Slaanesh Daemons

Full Army Photo

Army List

This army probably does better at the 1750 level, as it's kind of a stretch with upgrades past that. At 1750 points, I'd run:

  • Keeper of Secrets w/ Pavane of Slaanesh
  • Herald of Slaanesh in Chariot, w/ Soporific Musk, Icon & Unholy Might
  • The Masque
  • 12 Daemonettes w/ Icon
  • 12 Daemonettes w/ Icon
  • 12 Daemonettes w/ Icon
  • 11 Daemonettes w/ Icon
  • 3 Fiends of Slaanesh
  • 3 Fiends of Slaanesh
  • 6 Seekers of Slaanesh
  • 6 Seekers of Slaanesh
  • Soulgrinder w/ Tongue

I could stretch it to 2000 points with the inclusion of a winged daemon prince, and some extra upgrades if needed.

Why I Started This Army

Because I like painting tiny breasts...

More seriously, in 2006, my teammates and I took an Emperor's Children army to the Adepticon team tournament. One of my teammates bought most of the models, but I painted the army, and kept a small Emperor's Children force that included the Keeper of Secrets, 18 Daemonettes, and 6 Steeds. My wife also played Slaanesh, and had another 12 Daemonettes and 6 Steeds. When the new Chaos Space Marine Codex came out, all these daemons got put aside for the most part, but with the Chaos Daemon codex, I realized it would only take a handful more models to turn the leftover daemons from our 4th-edition Emperor's Children armies into a legal (if not horribly competative) Chaos Daemon army.

So, acquiring another 20 Daemonettes, a Dark Elf Chariot (and a couple of steeds to pull it), some of the new Fiend models and a Soul Grinder, I worked up the remaining parts of the army, and here it is.
