Didn't want to dig out the old thread, I lose Karma when I try Necomancing
So, RE5 is finaly out and I've played a few hours. Apart from the 2-player option it plays a lot like part 4 with some minor changes:
- You can only save after every stage. There are checkpoints, but if you quit a level in the middle you have to start from the beginning, but you can keep your items:
- Items: every character has 9 item slots. If they are full you have to discard stuff to take new stuff with you. But between every level you can store you're weapons in another inventory which you can only acces between missions or after you die and restart from a checkpoint.
- weapon upgrading works like before, but also only between levels as well. You can buy weapons as well, but not from a person like the merchant in RE4
- and one of the bigger changes: opening the inventory in game does not pause the game. You have been warned.
After playing the first 3 stages by myself, I decided that I desperatly needed a buddy to help me out. The AI partner is okay, is some situations, but it works much better if you can talk abpout who's doing what when playing online.
Some people might be annoyed by the following. RE5 isn't really that much about Horror anymore. Most of the action so far took place in broad daylight and there weren't really any "oh my god, the dog just jumped through the window" sequences.
There are however a lot of "OMG! THERE'S TOO MANY OF THEM; I HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE!" moments. And that's the point were the dogs and the chainsaw dudes show up. And don't get me started on the fat dudes. Man, I hate the fat dudes.
All in all, if you read this, you probably already played the demo, which actually, does a very good job showing what you can expect from this game, though each demo level was only about 1/3 of an entire stage. I don't know how many there are though. Yet.
I beat it with a buddy of mine over the weekend. Being a RE game, the story is suitably ridiculous. Unfortunately, unlike RE4, it seems to take itself completely seriously. Sheva's AI is not the best, either. She has an annoying habit of going through the ammo I give her as fast as humanly possible. The game is fun though.
Well well well, it's time to play Resident Evil again. Man Resident Evil 4 was really good huh?
For everyone who wants to play this crappy game: THERE ARE SPOILERS AHEAD.
Yeah Resident Evil 5 sucks hard guys. It's got to be the best worst game I've played in quite a while.
Let me kick this rant off with, this game is slowed.
Games have been moving in the believable range of stuff lately, so I thought "hey, this is gonna be some scary stuff that could totally happen". Pop the disc in play part of the first level, turn it off. Get my sister who is an avid gamer, we continue playing co-op split screen. Within the first few chapters everything believable about the Resident Evil universe is erased for good. Black, erhm I mean African, people with plagas in them totally cool, just like the last game. Giant guy with a huge hammer that instant deaths you if you touches you with it. Ok I can see that, guy with a huge hammer/axe thing totally scary. I mean to children, it's gotta scare someone or be intimidating to someone right? My sister and I deftly run past him anytime he is near.
Cool more game, all right. Wesker is involved? Sweet, he is the best villain from the RE franchise. Oh he can... teleport now? Gay. He has anime super powers that make him immune to guns, this is totally the stupidest thing I have seen in games that get distributed to American audiences in good frequency in quite awhile. I'll swallow this Capcom, only because your forcing me though.
Ok, skip skip skip, we're capping more black people... I mean Africans. Sometimes things get to arbitrarily instant death you in one scene but as soon as that isn't new and super powerful anymore you can kill it, unlike in the previous scene when you run from one. You can now fight dozens without any help. Boss fights are pretty cool with two people. Some I dare say will be impossible with the computer controlled partner.
Sweet another boss battle! Ok guy on a boat we'll take care of you! Ok shoot him! What? Oh yeah finish the dialogue, totally cool. I mean I let my villains in any other game do it. Injecting yourself with something sir? Ok yeah I can beat your ass when you have a few powers not hard at all. Oh... you've transformed into a 90 foot tall 200 ton behemoth with very complex swimming mechanisms and methods of attack... in under a minute? I should have just not bought this game right? Is that what your telling me Capcom? Well at least that boss had the courtesy to show me his giant glowing weak points and then arbitrarily expose his most vital point to... not really attack me, just give me a chance to kill him.
Oh noes, now we have a sub plot where the people we work for is working for Umbrella! NO WAY! I totally didn't see this coming as soon as this organization was mentioned. Of course if the organization has a name it will inevitably end up being Umbrella involved or actually Umbrella in a new guise. But what the hell, this isn't that bad. But of course making super soldiers isn't that cool either. You don't need super soldiers if you just nuke a countries major cities with the zombie virus. On a quick side note, everything has tentacles now, no exceptions. Don't plan to play a RE game without tentacles anymore.
I'm not going to go any further than this. Haven't beaten it yet but we're getting close. We'll have some more play time Wednesday after my work and her school.
One last thing, Sheva is a very light skinned bla- African because she is one of the good guys. This game is racist.
well i've been playing for 2 days now and done the first 3 stages solo, and have decided that i'm not playing without a second party. The reaction time is painfully slow compared to Fear 2 *which i have reverted back to until i find a friend*

I already mentioned before, yes, it's not that "scary" anymore, but actually it doesn't really bother me that much. 0-3 were good games, but I'm glad the series evolved. RE4 did get those great reviews for a reason.

I didn't mind that at all. We already knew he had some "super powers" from injecting himself with the Virus in RE1 which got triggered after he was stabbed by the Tyrant. Also
Spoiler:
in a flashback Spencer reveals that Wesker was an "Umbrella Creation" from the start, so it made much more sense how much power he gained through the Virus.
And he doesn't "teleport" he just can move really really fast. Which I have no problem with. To me, he's still one of the coolest bad guys in videogame history.
Ok, skip skip skip, we're capping more black people... I mean Africans. Just out of curiositiy, on which difficulty setting are you playing. I haven't tried out hard mode yet, but I heard the enemies are more aggresive there and most people who played 4 shouldn't have much of a problem with the normal setting. And if you have problems with the fact that some enemies are too easy later in the game you always switch back to your old weapons without any upgrades I agree about the bossfights. Especially the bat creature very early in the game can only be fought right if you attack him from both sides. Same thing for the first battle with Wesker and sometimes the "Reaper" creatures too.
Oh noes, now we have a sub plot where the people we work for is working for Umbrella! NO WAY! I totally didn't see this coming as soon as this organization was mentioned. But of course making super soldiers isn't that cool either. You don't need super soldiers if you just nuke a countries major cities with the zombie virus.
Well, Umbrella doesn't have that much of a presence.
Spoiler:
Excella is working for Wesker, who may have or not recreated Umbrella what he was planning as mentioned in the end of "Umbrella Chronicles". You just read alot about what Umbrella did there 40 years ago.
On a quick side note, everything has tentacles now, no exceptions. Don't plan to play a RE game without tentacles anymore.
Yes, they all have tentacles, what's your problem. The enemies in part 4 also all had tentacles. It's part of the whole Las Plagas concept.
And Nemesis had tentacles too.
One last thing, Sheva is a very light skinned bla- African because she is one of the good guys. This game is racist.
Not this again. The game takes place in Africa so naturally the enemies are African. Personally, I was actually bothered by the fact that a lot of the townsfolks looked too much like Mexicans In RE4 you were only fighting Spanish people. Does that make the game racist? In Call of Duty 4 I only shoot Russians and Middle-Easterns (is that real word?), does that make the game rascist?
To add some critisism of my own, later in the game you run into some firefights with a few armed Plagas hosts and there's a cover system, but it's pretty clunky compared to other 3rd person shooters like Gears or GTA.
And really works much better if you play it with a friend. The AI Sheva just keeps using her normal pistol until she runs out of ammo and she never uses the knife for anything other then destroying crates.
meh, alot of crappy twists in it that dont seem to fit.
like a dead guy comming back (no names here incase of spoiler)
like the new inventory system alot, you cant tell a zombie to wait while you change guns now can you?
online co-op is great fun, allthough it does lead to a few disputes such as; "you fether! thats my ammo!" and various other things.
also, you cannot give your team mate a specific ammount of an item like ammo, it gives it all.
what happened to the "shoot them in the head"?
neck shots seem to be 1 shot kills now, and headshots dont kill them that well (2-3 needed)
allthough the shotgun seems to kick ass on this one, the rifle however, i fething hate it.
also, much more brutal with the punches, allthough possibly a bit over the top now?
helping out team mates is great, allthough killing a friend with a red barrel isnt.
i know anung, but the only weak spot ive found so far is the neck, and yes, i was sad enough to test out different shots and see how they worked lol.
only thing that really annoys me is some of the "bosses" MR. chainsaw is pretty gak, you can easily keep away from him, but it takes ages of constant shooting to kill him (including using the barrels and power box)
maybe making bosses like that a bit harder?
all bosses from the resi series have been too easy, only annoying one so far being T-zombie, who is just annoying rather than hard, and a waste of decent rounds.
Edit:
just a note for new resi players, dont waste ammo trying to kill everything, its not possible as on most parts the zombies are endless.
And you clearly aren't well-educated, as this isn't the first incident of a white protagonist gunning down black enemies. People don't have a problem with movies that have racist bits in them. You can hardly say that the game is about white power, seeing as it's developed by Capcom, a largely Japanese company.
Get to know pop culture. No-one with sense has a problem with it. Parents councils aren't raving about it, the OFLC/ESRB/whatever don't have a problem with it. You even have a black ally. And yes, some black people DO have lighter skin. Just like some caucasians have olive skin.

Don't get all butt hurt about it dude, I'm joking.
if anyone is even thinking about trying to drag racism into a good game then please, piss off and die somewhere
i think the standards have been set too high by other games (gears, call of duty etc etc) and its kind of cast a shadow over resi, makes it seem out of date allready.
Didn't Jesse Jackson say something about RE5 already? If so then its safe to say that the game is not rascist.
I heard a lot of bad things about the AI, no surprise, but I also remember the makers saying something about them purposefully going away from the horror genre and more towards the action genre.
I think the "old" Resident Evil had a good run. There were, how many, 5 games which played mostly the same. I don't mind it shifting more towards action.
JD21290 wrote:

It's not that the standards are set too high, they are set too realistically.
I can see the stuff in gears happening. It's pretty realistic-ish. Call of duty basically happened. But RE5 is just ridiculous. Tentacles are formed by gas, incredibly deadly mutagens just give you more super powers, things like that. The game also uses instant death way too much. I'm not running straight into Wesker and expecting to live, it's just he occasionally gets slightly too close, and without a fast button mash or anything it can't be avoided. He flings you off the screen to your death. Same goes for those stupid bug things, they get too close and your dead. No button press to dodge or anything, your just dead.
I guess Japan just went slowed and thought it would be a great idea to make a Resident Evil game after watching a few seasons of Naruto and Bleach.
Edit: And even though all the stuff about the game being racist was a joke, just because a famous black person says something isn't racist doesn't make it true.
Edit: And even though all the stuff about the game being racist was a joke, just because a famous black person says something isn't racist doesn't make it true.
Typeline, was that ment to be a joke?
your saying the problem with a computer game is that it isnt realistic?
now, dont get me wrong, but i figure thats the idea of most computer games.
on your note about gears; if you play gears 1, then great, never play 2, its a waste of money and gak story to it, not only that, but i ran through it on insane in a few hours.
whats wrong with instant death in a game?
most have it in terms of pits, spikes etc etc.
resi just shows better ways of doing it, allthough in 2 player co-op it does piss you off when your team mate dies because of something stupid they are trying to do. (ie: trying to kill a chainsaw maniac with a knife)
Or if your partner is too stupid to counteract your own stupidity. We would probably win more if MY partners would shoot the chainsaw guy first. I do it to teach them a lesson.
i was shooting him, but since my gak partner had the machine gun and all i had was a pistol it was pretty stupid.
he said he had killed him with a knife before and it saves loads of ammo.
i did try to tell him that there was 8 explosive barrels there for a reason.
thats the other thing that annoys me about resi5 online, i allways get put with the most annoying person possible.
im allways happy to share ammo if needed or even send then grenades / herbs.
the people i get put with generally tend to run off grabbing all the ammo on the way, then expect me to kill anything so they can save thier ammo.
So far, I've only played with a good friend of mine who was also looking forward to the game and bought it on the release day. I don't think RE5 is the kind of game I want to play with a stranger...
trust me, its not, im waiting for a friend to buy it as its getting annoying to play with random people.
90% of the time they cant speak english, so thats a slight problem.
Well, english, mexican spanish, french are somewhat similar to latin. You might be able discern some of what they say. Have you ever played against the japanese or chinese? They're impossible to understand.
Bruce Willis IS dead.
Did you know for a FACT that the yuri section on 4chan is NOT about the russian guy from Red Alert 2? I found that out the hard way...never going there again.
Typeline: I was watching G4 and read some other reviews on it and they didn't have a lot of good things to say about it. In fact G4 gave it a 3- out of -5. Now I have not played it personaly my self but I have heard that there are some anoying game mech. in it that need fixing.
I still like it, but I'm curious as to why they've padded the violence in some bits and left it in others. For example, the chainsaw decapitation is censored (you don't see your head come off), as is the head splattering from the executioner. But you still see Wesker shove his hand through you and punch through the other side, all bloodied up.
The finale was rather....unsatisfying. And altough the place of the final battle was as dramatic as it probably can get (
Spoiler:
inside a volcano
), it wasn't really as dramatic as other epic bossfights in the series and the final cutscene was too short.
Spoiler:
I would've suspected a setting like that in a Devil May Cry game, but in Resident Evil the volcano just felt out of place, even in the "new and exotic" setting.
Which doesn't mean that I didn't like the game. Still, what it does, it does very well; it was just the ending that lacked a bit.
Spoiler:
The last boss fight is rather stupid though. The Uruoboros leech things were a nice enemy and a good hommage to RE0, but when Wesker transformed he somehow got...less intimidating. And his demise also wasn't that interesting. One of the Tyrants survived a pot full of molten metal once, but then he got 2 RPGs in the face? An unworthy end for such a great villian.
Still, I'm looking forward to playing it a second time so I can unlock more extras.
My final verdict: not a bad game, but also not quite as good as it could've been.
I'm going to build me some Manjinis with AKs and use them in my chaos army
i wont be on the xbox for a few days since im at my girls parents house (gotta love the step-family -_-)
i should be back on live soon though.
gamertag: Deaths Croshair (i know there should be 2 S's in crosshair, but it didnt fit, and i wanted a space)
allthough i might start a new tag for playing res5 since that one is primarily my COD4 tag, plasma grenade5 is my halo account, and i dance 4 you is a random account i made when i was drunk.
Personally I stuck with Diablo 2, I still never get tired of that game. I try to do shenanigans, like when I was a lvl 10 paladin and attacked a lvl 76 amazon.
Well, since you stated that you play oblivion I'll make a comparison.
Diablo 2 is a lot like it, but with a 3rd person view. Also most sword, bow, and weapon hits are determined by an accuracy skill. You level up by killing enemies and distribute the points into what you want to. You don't gain levels by walking or jumping.
More skills also, like barbarian classes can jump across chasms and wield two two-handed weapons.
It has a storyline that'll take you through 5 main levels, each with dungeons. There's also online play, but its free unlike WoW.
Its made by blizzard also, so I think that they were attempting to make WoW like Diablo, but they made it too colorful and complicated the skills too much.
I play paladin myself in Diablo 2, but theres other classes.
Necromancer, Amazon, Druid, Assassin, Sorceress, and Barbarian. No "occupations" and no class mixing, easy rpg style hack and slash. Grimdark graphics and eerie music. Diablo 2 also has the legendary "cow level" that you can unlock after beating the game once. Different difficulties unlock better weapons. Can get tedious at times, but not more tedious than some of the oblivion missions, like that "find who stole the painting" mission.
Or JD try the Original Fallout Games on the PC or Baldurs Gate 1 & 2, all are awesome and should keep you entertained for ages (especially Baldurs Gate).
Thanks though guys after reading this thread i've pretty much decided against RE5 for the moment, it sounds really good but my fave Resi game will always be RE2 by a long shot so I don't think I want to spoil the franchise for myself just yet. Ah Well back to MGS4 I go (i know it came out last year I can just not stop playing the damn thing)
99MDeery: im tempted to buy fallout 3 for the 360 and played both baldours gate games, amazing, they are classics same as an old game called gauntlet legends.
Fallout 3 is great, but Bethesda Software can blow me.
They decided to release the game on both 360 and PS3, but to leave glitches in the PS3 version and gave 360 exclusive downloadable content. So 360 owners can go beyond lvl 20, but I'm frikkin' stuck.
The glitch I'm talking about is one that causes the robots that I'm supposed to repair to go sailing through the air and killing them. Thanks bethesda, you jerks. Not to mention the vampire cure quest glitch in the ps3 version of oblivion. I have 100 bloodgrass and the witch won't take 2!?! BTW, I got ADD in oblivion, forgot I got the vampire disease, explored a ruins and cave, leveled up, and rested. I was ticked when it told me I was a vampire, and now I can't cure it. I was halfway through the game too. I started crying man tears.
JD21290 wrote:99MDeery: im tempted to buy fallout 3 for the 360 and played both baldours gate games, amazing, they are classics same as an old game called gauntlet legends.
Fallout 3 is great, but I mean Fallout 1 & 2 produced by Interplay now those games are classic and both are in my top 5 games of all time.
just a random fun thing here, go to the imperial city, buy the most expensive staff (forgot its name)
then go get the umbra sword
do it once your a decent level and also get fully upgraded armour from her once shes dead.
the staff kills her in 3 hits, usualy shes very quick and disarms you
scout, theres too much gak from feeding off them, just catch people un-aware out and about, they will try and kill you anyway, might aswell make a use for them.
nope, wheres that to halo?
also, found some random pirate ship (sunken) in the bottom left of the map, theres a cabin door that cant be picked and needs the "cabin key"
cant find out where that is
Haven't found the sunken ship to the left, but theres another wrecked ship in the right of the map. I believe its due south from that, he's floating underneath the bridge and has a note.
JD21290 wrote:scout, theres too much gak from feeding off them, just catch people un-aware out and about, they will try and kill you anyway, might aswell make a use for them.

I believe that's the ghost quest called the Forlorn Watchmen you have to go to the bottom first and get the key after defeating a Wraith, I own an Oblivion Strat Book as i got tired of aimlessy wondering trying to find all the good stuff , good book though and your making me want to start a new character.
Also Fallout will be a wonderful thing that will brighten up your life immensely, if not just grab FF7 instead of FF10
nope, its not that quest thats what i thought at 1st, but its miles away.
i started again (without using the item dupe cheat this time)
just went straight into imperial city, killed a guard and stole his armour, done the time for it.
sold the armour, got a decent weapon and done the arena quests.
JD21290 wrote:nope, its not that quest thats what i thought at 1st, but its miles away.

plenty of easy money and armour
Hmm where abouts is it are you talking about, I have all the maps in front of me atm I might be able to find it for you
Aye i always do the Arena first, but I always kill one of the wondering Imp Legion for there armor much much easier
roughtly the center of the map, then go to the far left in the water, not sure how far out it is since i was using underwater breathing at the time.
thanks for the help though
being sneaky is no fun though.
if you need a good laugh, get the jabbawock weapon, stab an enemy and it turns into another random enemy, allthough, having a sand crab turn into something alot bigger isnt allways as funny
halonachos wrote:I usually pick the betting box first thing. Then I steal whatever I can. If I get caught, I steal it back from the evidence chest.
Meh I played an Assassin, I don't steal things I kill people for money coincidentally the only thing I stole off people, I managed to kill half of Bruma without no one figuring it out.
99MDeery: if you want to do that then simply walk about breaking into houses and give people poisoned items, run and wake them up and they kill themselves
I did the assassins guild mission solely to get the black hand robe. My stealth is now 112. I just love stealing though. All of the mages guild are empty, all of the fighters guilds, in fact in one of the bruma houses I found a black hand robe and hood in a keg.
When it comes to killing people, lets just say that I won't be wearing the knight of the nine armor anytime soon. That's where the gray fox mask comes in handy.
JD21290 wrote:99MDeery: if you want to do that then simply walk about breaking into houses and give people poisoned items, run and wake them up and they kill themselves
I was eating all of the food I had in my inventory to lose weight once and ate a poison apple by accident. Those things work incredibly well.
halo, when you make your own armour simply make a helmet with poison on it you can take it back once they are dead, and it works in a few seconds depending on how well you do it.
the blade im using at the moment is pretty much a 1 hit kill on anything, allthough it needs re-charging every 30 hits lol
I played a bit tonight and switched online settings to "let anybody join" which led to the following encounters:
- one guy started a stage with me and left after 20 seconds. Maybe I was walking too slow, I have no idea.
- 3 guys wanted to join but then backed out before they got their turn.
- Right before a boss battle one guy shows up. Conversation as follows:
Me: So, we're going to fight that bat thing. Any ideas?
Him: No, I'm just here to grab some money.
Fight started, he pulled out a Magnum with infite Ammo, wasted the boss with 3 shots, took 2 treasures, we went to the exit and I quit
So, yeah, if I play it again online, I want to play it with a "friend" only. These random encounters on the web are weird....
To go slightly of topic,
@JD: Fallout 3 is awesome. I think the last single-player game I played for so long was Final Fantasy 7. Speaking of which, do what ))MDeery said and try that one out if you need to play an FF game. FFX looks pretty, but it's too linear.
anung, i have the same problems 1st convo starts with: hola mes amigo's (sp?)
erm, sorry, im english and dont understand that, allthough, im guessing its hello my friend?
next convo: (him i need some ammo badly, can i get the next lot?
me: (being kind as usual) sure, how much do you have left in the hand gun?
him: only 75 shots or so.
me: im down to 8, can i get it?
him: feth off then cos i need it, you have a rifle aswell with 4 shots.
me: you have a machine gun aswell, and by the looks of it your not low on ammo eiter.
later on:
him: think you can heal me?
me: im down to my last herb, you have 4
him: im saving that for an emergency
me: your about to die, i guess you need to use one of yours.
him: feth off then
*he then leaves*
i keep finding people like this :K
anung, ill be back on it soon ish, ive started again aswell, ill add you once im on
from what ive heard, fallout 3 seems to be amazing, i somehow have achievements on it, yet ive never played it 0_o
Nope, I haven't even seen them for download so far. Why, are they out in the U.S.?
One more thing about the ending:
Spoiler:
If you watch closely you can see that the two rockits actually miss Wesker's head and explode behind him. And he wouldn't be the first Umbrella creation to survive a RPG or a lava-like substance.
"him: think you can heal me?
me: im down to my last herb, you have 4
him: im saving that for an emergency
me: your about to die, i guess you need to use one of yours.
him: feth off then
*he then leaves* "
I played one more game with some random guy over XBox live. He killed 5 times as many enemies as I did because he had a Magum with unlimited ammo. Now where's the fun it that?
JD21290 wrote:which ones scout? tribal im guessing.
if so gimme till tomorrow and ill have it.
Sadly, I don't have the game. but I have read reviews , so i've had to stick to vids online. Just watched the vid, and it looks like he was decribing the Clubbin' ostume. Tribal imo looks sexier!
the hydra? simply fully upgrade the basic shotgun i need around 15k more to finish that, need to start playing as sheva so i can get the bow next.
just a note and a spoiler about the stun rod, so do not read on if you dont want to know a very small section of the story.
when you have to run from whesker and jill, simply use the stun rod on jill once and she keeps away from you, it is possible to hit whesker with it and pin him in a corner beating the gak out of him for 7 minutes, but it does get boring when you have to take the control thingy off of jill simply stun her with the stun rod, then take it off.
it works 1st time rather than having to do it 5 times.
also, only hit her once per section of the fight, 3 hits and she dies and its game over
on a very random note today, i have concluded that on insane it takes 300 stabs to kill chainsaw man lol why i tested this i dont know, but to save time shoot him
if you playing with someone you know then focus on a set gun list.
my friend uses a machine gun and shotgun, i use a pistol / magnum and a sniper.
doing it that way we both get our own ammo, so no sharing is involved, keeps us both happy and argument free.
since the focus is on 2 weapons it means upgrades tend to cost less since its only 2 guns.
1st time i finished it i had loads of half upgraded guns, but nothing finished lol.
also, once you have inf. ammo in a gun it makes saving alot easer since a desert eagle tends to kill anything, leaving you money to spend on another gun.
also, remember to shoot all those BSAA emblems
ive still got to check out the online store thingy on it
And to find all the Emblems I'll need the IGN guide. Some of those suckers are hidden in places you didn't even know existed.
My problem with the upgrading was, when I played it for the 1st time, I always thought about RE4 and that I'll probably get a better Shotgun/Uzi/Rifle sooner or later so I waited for the final versions to put more money into the upgrades. If I would've known that I needed to upgrade the starting weapons, I'd upgraded them.
Anyway, are you back home now? I want to play some more online.
Man, its a good thing I work in electronics. Someone just happened to open the guide for RE5. I get about 2 hours every saturday to read it.
Yeah, the chainsaw guy has about 12,000 health in average (for comparison max player health is 1,000).
Of course, the weak spot on most enemies is the head. Except on the tall fellow wearing the mask, his weakspots are on his legs and back.
Jill has low health, but the thing on her chest has 10,000 health. Each bullet does 1,500 damage while each button press does 30(when you grab it).
Just know that the first black worm guy drops a golden ring worth 5,000 if you kill it outside of th furnace.
Upgrade Ithaca=Hydra
Upgrade first pistol=Don't remember name but it looks cool.
Upgrade first rifle=Longbow
@Scout
Sheva has a couple of alternate costumes, in one shes tribal and has what I guess is a tribal version of a bikini on. The other costume is a "clubbin'" costume. She looks like a 70's disco queen.
S&W M500 (Handcannon) - Fully upgrade the S&W M29 Magmum
Mercenaries Mode - Finish the game in any difficulty.
New Game+ - Finish the game in any difficulty.
Playing with Sheva - Finish the game in any difficulty.
Unlimited ammunition for a weapon - Max out the upgrades for that gun then finish the game atleast once.
Sheva's Tribal Costume - Collect 30 BSAA emblems
hope some of that helps
just a note: try to kill everything!
most of the tougher enemies carry a treasure
killing chainsaw manjini - make use of the transformers on the telegraph poles they will stun him allowing you to shoot him.
barells also help loads, do a nice bit of damage.
killing the worm type boss - you get a flame thrower for this, it helps, but there are other ways.
1: have a friend shoot off the fleshy sore things on his shoulders, then use the flame thrower, it wont do any damage until they are gone.
2: if you have finished the game then its easy, have 2 people using the sig rifle (fully upgraded) and pour rounds into its shoulders and head.
3: 1 person needs to use the flame thrower while the other uses flame rounds in the grenade launcher.
reminders:
use the knife to deflect a crossbow bolt for 60 achievement points
do not get close to the invisi bugs or lickers, they will kill you in 1 hit :(
there are alot of enemies in the game that can do this (mainly bosses)
simply keep some distance at all times, if they are too close use a shotgun or magnum to knock them back.
keep the stun rod with you for the 1st half of the game atleast!
on harder modes it takes alot of rounds to kill most things, and ammo is scarce, the stun rod is allmost allways a 1 hit kill on basic majini unless you hit them in the feet or with the very tip of it, it will still stun them though ready for a melee attack
Big Note: Watch FMV parts and do not pur the pad down, there is allmost allways button bashing needed at some point when you least expect it.
also, a certain "boss fight" (no names for spoiler sake) tells you how to beat it if you listen to the FMV.
(for the record, you dont kill it, you run away for 7 minutes until he leaves)
on that part there is also a desert eagle found in the chest to the right of where you start, takes 2 people to open, but also contains some jewels.
i can assure you the desert eagle fires at 3,000 only guns that beat it: hand cannon (s500 fully upgraded to unlock this) and the rocket launcher.
enemies health does get higher depending on the settings your playing on, also, the higher the diff. your playing then the more enemies there is, and the smarter they are.
a certain bit involving lickers is a pain in the ass on easy!
playing through it on vet mode and its fething hard, you run out of ammo quickly, and when 20 are attacking you at once with more on the way it does get hard, the stun rod works wonders when you swing it and kill 3 at a time
for the achievement you need to kill 2 majini with a flash.
simple way: on the temple level just go for head shots.
once you have 2 of them with the plants comming out of thier heads throw a flash and get it
Egg hunt: chapter 3-1 (play on vet. diff.)
drive the boat to the middle of the map (chicken pen) then chase a chicken around for a minute or so, it will drop a gold egg.
jump over the fence and grab a brown egg.
do it again on amature diff.
instead of brown eggs there are white eggs.
rot. eggs: majini will drop them randomly after chapter 4-2.
Side note: in chapter 3-1 with the chicken farm, travel to the top left, theres a small camp there with around 5k in items to sell, there is also a sunken boat, you will find ammo and a rocket launcher in it.
anung, my gamertag is Deaths Croshair.
should be on it tomorrow night.
finally got around to using the gattling gun, now working on the SW500 magnum, hydra and upgrading my PSG-1
also need to find 2 more BSAA emblems and 7 more treasures (i missed a few running through levels)
infinate ammo rocket launcher: sounds harder than it is finish the game in under 5 hours.
each chapter has a "best finish time"
play each one on amature until your happy with the time, keep going and knocking down the times, once under 5 hours you get the infinate ammo rocket launcher.
im at 5 hours 38 minutes so far.
Mercenary mode tips:
unlocking characters: you will need an A rank in each game to unlock a character.
an A rank is 60,000+ points, so not that hard to do.
if you need points fast, find someone who can also play the game well, there are 150 enemies on each level (including a boss and sub's) kill them all for a SS rank and 5,000 points
characters: STARS and safari chris are both good for this, both have a somewhat upgraded shotgun, and safari has a rocket.
when you start simply drop the pistol and you will only find the following: shotgun ammo.
STARS wesker is the best!
starting with a pistol, magnum and hydra.
drop the pistol at the start and you will only find the following: magnum and shotgun ammo, healing items and grenades.
Easy money: other than chapter 3-1, 4-2 has some great things on it, easily earning 45 - 50k per time.
keep or sell?: when hunting to earn money take the bear essentials.
i take a gattling gun only at the moment (anything strong with infinate ammo will do)
that leaves you 8 slots for extras.
dont combine herbs unless you have to, only combine red + green as they sell for 500 each (green x2 is only 400)
incin and normal grenades fetch 250 each, 5 per slot, so worth keeping.
dont keep hold of junk ammo.
rifle, shotgun and grenade ammo is worth keeping to sell, everything else should be dropped if you dont have room to carry better items.
if you do not have the "egg on your face" achievement, shoot a majini twice in the knee, then throw a rotten egg at him to get it.
allthough, these do sell for 2,000 each, so make sure your close and dont miss
if anyone needs any help with anything on RE5 feel free to PM me on here or over the 360 (gamertag earlier in post)
ill help out as much as i can
You don't need to tell me all that stuff JD. I enjoy finding out stuff myself. Except the Emblems. I used a guide for those
I recently played online once more with a random guy and he had the infite launcher. I barely killed anything in that game.
I played some more mercenaries this afternoon. Sheevas bow is pretty cool. I unlocked in the normal game, but didn't get around to try it out hter yet, but it works great in mercs.
Some stages are easy, some not so much. I still have problems with the Reaper which show up in the mines, but Tribal Sheva looks like the best choice since she can have a grenade launcher for the Reapers and kill everything else with the bow.
I played the missle area with STARS Chris and kicked a lot of zombie-butt.
One more thing: is it just me, or are the Electric Rounds for the Grenade Launcher useless?
i know mate, just putting it out there for lurkers
i dont want it to use, i just want it to show i got it
ill stick to using wesker on mercs if your reloading a shotgun or magnum, hold the left bumper and trigger, click X to reload and slash, instant reload, no time taken
reapers are a pain in the ass, but explosive or nitrogen rounds kill them quickly.
failing that the triple burst pistol (once fully upgraded) kills them so quick its scary. (yet to try a gattling gun on one of them)
Elec rounds kick ass great for hunting lickers in large groups as 1 shot will either kill them, or hurt them badly and throw them accross the map
im on a works computer at the moment so i cant see vids, but ill check later when im home
anung, if you need to speed through the game for the infinate launcher then simply take all 3 magnums with infinate ammo.
saves reload times and gets the job done quickly
I've played the demo, and although it's a refreshing game rather than me playing Resident Evil 4, there's not that much that's "Scary" I'm having problems with the "Unending Horde" It's not hard, as it is just straight up annoying.
How is the full version BTW? any good? or should I just stay home and rent it?
this suffers the same as RE4 does, it loses all the scare tactics and spooky music :(
number 1 was great for scaring the gak out of you when you didnt expect it.
i would say:
all in all it dropped its scary side and its now more of a bloodbath type game.
i think theres 1 or 2 jumpy parts, but thats mainly due to me trying to ajust the sound (speakers stopped working)
its well worth buying though.
i traded in call of duty WaW and gears 2 to get it (the girl has me on a budget with games )
only problems with it: in parts the never ending zombies are more annoying than they are hard.
lack of scary stuff doesent make it as fun.
alot of annoying 1 hit kill monsters on there (so dont get close to anything bigger than a zombie)
but its still a great game with loads of stuff to play about with.
its online, so it can be amusing at times.
great guns on there, alot of new style weapons
I barely scratched enough gold together to buy the Gatling Gun and the Bow. The next thing I was trying to get would've been the Hydra, just because it's awesome.
the hydra isnt bad atall mate only good though once its been finished
i would prefer it if you could send over guns to a friend.
achievement tip of today: trust.
request items for your partner (healing or ammo) once you get it thank them using B
after 10 or so times you get the achievement.
(i still need to do this one)
anung, thanks to call of duty 4 my rep is at 79% avoid 40% for language.
funny thing is, im allways in private or party chat, so im never talking to other players.
20% is for agression (sp?)
how does that one work in a game where you are ment to be killing people?
i got 4 people submit reviews against me simply because i got a 26 streak in it aswell.
apparently im not allowed to 0_o
i dont mind playing dakka members, hence why i have my gamertag on my profile.
i have no problems with anyone, unless of course i cannot understand them, so i leave.
on a side note here girls with canadian accents sound pretty cute
You're too good for xbox live. We don't have reviews on PSN, thats a good thing. Less kids on it as well.
Oh, I was wrong about the chainsaw guy(obviously) their health ranges from 10,000-20,000 the guy with the axe has 12,000 health.
Also, in mercenaries there is one chicken per level. If you kill it you get a golden egg worth 2,000 points and will allow more enemies to spawn. There's a max of 5 per map and the chicken counts as 1. 150 enemies spawn per map and the big mini-boss guys spawn up to 8 times. Every other mini-boss is a stronger version.
i just hate the way the reviews work.
i could end up losing my account due to playing a game i like.
simply because half the people i play against cant average over 320 or so a game.
im not sure on chainsaw, but 4 shots with a eagle (3,000 power) kills axe boyo, so thats pretty dead on i would say.
not sure about the chickens since im too busy trying to wipe out all 150 enemies but gold eggs sell for 1,200 on the xbox and rotten sell for 2,000 (hence why people duplicate them)
allthough its a long and boring process.
i rather build it up through a few different levels.
on prison level the boss is only spawned once, which weskers eagle drops in 5 shots (3 to the head)
also, incase anyone was wondering (got a PM today, so thought i would post here)
the figurines in the game cannot be found.
to unlock them you must find BSAA emblems, all 30 find you every figurine.
you must then buy them using points (not money)
points can be earned by: finishing chapters, depending on rank you will get more. (A = 900, S = 1,500, SS = 5,000)
you can also earn them in merc. mode depending on rank aswell.
if your trying to buy them all then just play through the game collecting everything, the points earned from chapters should cover 80% of the points cost needed for things.
also, remember to turn costumes and infinate ammo on
Also, the fish and goats count as enemies in the game. Kill them to boost your enemies routed score.
Well, enemies also have weaknesses against certain weapons and take extra damage depending on location hit.
The licker for example takes 300% extra damage when shot in its heart.
The RPG does 30,000 damage except against wesker, they do something like 1,000 or so damage. Wesker's pistol does 500 damage so it can take you out in two shots.
nothing hurts weker atall, you can hit him, but it doesent hurt him atall.
a lickers weakspot is not only its heart, but also its spine.
Easy achievement: get close to a licker, shoot him with a standard shotgun (dont kill him :()
stand over him while he is on his back and stab him.
Heart stopper achievement done
Note: sheva can also do this by pushing X on a grounded licker, allthough you need to make sure it hits its heart
Wesker dash attack, midnight version wesker only. (merc mode)
run as normal with wesker, hit the X button at any point to perform a jumping knee attack, easy enough and can be used in a crowd of enemies
Easy Achievement: Max combo!
this one is simple and MUST be done on 2 player co-op find a sub boss (the big chunky guys that try to punch you are best as they are slow)
stand either side of him, 1 person needs to throw a flash at him (or use flash rounds)
once stunned you must push X to punch him with chris, sheva then needs to quickly do the same from the otherside (kick)
chris must then do it again, keep going until it kills him.
(2 hits from each person does this)
Grab her and tell your AI partner to shoot. The AI should shoot the device and not jill. Give AI a pistol or similar weapon, not a shotgun.
*Possible SPOILER*
The weapons may not do "damage" but wesker has 30,000 health that you must dwindle down for the next fight. In the next fight, he has 28,000 health.
halo, wesker has life in the part where you must wait 7 minutes.
but not much.
you do however get a treasure from making him leave early, to do this there is a simple way:
lure him into the alleys at the top of the stairs, hit him with any type of grenade (flash are best, then inc, then normal) this stuns him long enough to get 3-5 shots off at him with a magnum.
10 rounds from the eagle you find there are enough to make him run off.
also with jill: 2 ways, 1 eay, 1 hard.
Easy way yet risky: simply hit jill with the stun rod in the BODY (in the head will kill her, so aim for the double D's and you wont go too far wrong), this will allow you to hold her while your partner removes it 1st time.
Harder way, yet safer: hold her and shoot the gem a few times (do not use shotgun as said, also avoid using magnums and snipers as they pierce the gem and kill her)
i would say use either a pistol or the sig machine gun (due to being precise with each shot)
you cannot destroy the gem, but around 3,000 damage allows it to be taken off 1st time.
halo, when you fight him on the landing pad he does not have health atall.
turn off all lights via the switches.
you must shoot a RPG at him (which he will catch) then shoot the RPG he is holding to stun him.
your partner needs to hold him while you inject him.
halo, i found some amusing things out, i checked around 10 guides (i checked thier 360 gamertags) and only 1 or so has actually finished the game so most of them rip off other guides, and it turns into chinese wispers with wrong info on the game.
I was reading the piggy back published guide. They have all of the information, but no freakin storyline. I saw the giant chap with the guys tied to his waist and wondered what the hell made him.
*SPOILER*
With the wesker fight I was talking about, its the one right before the volcano. He has some health, but the lights will annoy wesker if you shoot them. Shoot the lights out, hide and wesker will go back to the lights. The second one is the volcano fight.
I hate reviews too, they can be misleading. I also hate the rating system we have. Most parents will buy Fallout 3 or GTA because its rated mature like Halo 3. They instantly assume it has the same content. They don't realize that Fallout 3 had sex and drugs and dismemberment in it.
halo, he is another bio engineered creature made by unbrella and tricell research, same as the guy from number 4, but with bodies and a beard
halo, shooting the lights does nothing mate, they need to be turned off via the switch when fighting wesker then, the only way to beat him is by injecting him with the virus, other that that he cant be killed (me and a friend tested this with a gattling gun and RPG, both with infinate ammo)
after 3 hours we gave it up and injected him.
Yeah, I found that out later, but I saw the guy in the uniform and wondered what he was doing there. Was he BSAA or delta or whatever? Thats what I was wondering.
Yeah, you do have to use the syringe from excella. But I do think that it'll finish him if you do enough damage otherwise. Haven't played that part, but how many needles did it take to kill wesker after all of the heavy fire?
the military guy?
if so thats josh, a friend of sheva's and the alpha team leader, he helps you out a few times in the game
erm, you only need to inject him once, i can turn off the lights, RPG him, a friend holds him and i inject him in around 1 minute, so it doesent take long and it allways works 1st time.
note: on vet and higher diff's he does break lose when holding him, so make sure you shoot him with an RPG then flashbang him to make sure he stays stunned long enough.
Josh survives till the end methinks. The guy in question has the same type of uniform, but is dead.
Also, has anyone ever noticed that in every single RE game, the helicopter always proves unreliable till the end? Look at the awesome helicopters in RE4 and RE5, they rip up an enemy and then get shot down.
In RE4 the only ganado smart enough to use a RPG survives the helicopter's gatlings and then blows it away.
In horror games, never ever get into a helicopter or fly a helicopter.
yes, josh survives to the end, he is the heli pilot that gets you out there is an alpha and bravo team that got sent there initially (all dead except josh)
if you see a dead team member then there should be an emblem about in that area.
the RPG majini are gak you can easily run past them, and its even possible to shoot the rocket as it leaves the laucnher im willing to bet they couldnt hit a large house from 10 foot away (kinda like RPG's on call of duty )
the scary thing is they are pretty dead on, even a child could hit something with one.
which is why i hate doing tours in iraq.
an AK isnt accurate atall at range, and with pretty much no training (or very basic) they arent too much of a threat at a range.
in the game it shows this
one thing that does make me laugh about RE5:
every gun apart from the bow has a laser dot.
now, the RPG has one thats comming out of the rocket 0_o
yet a bow doesent have one lol
The AK is a spray and pray weapon, but all of the RPGs I've seen(mainly through combat videos) seem to corkscrew horribly.
I agree with the whole laser sight thing, have you seen the laser sight on the hydra? It just chills below the barrels tied on with a piece of leather.
They should've stuck with something like the mine-darts in RE4, those were hilarious with a scope.
I just played a few more rounds of Mercenaries and got A-rankings in the first 6 of 8 stages. As it was to be expected, playing Wesker is very satisfiying.
Yes, you get a cookie.
Edit: Didn't want you to think I was serious so I'll tell ya. There's a SS rank that's above S rank, so you got some work to do.
sorry anung, my live died on me and needs topping up again, managed to get a few achievements offline though.
the hydra is a great gun the 20k points needed to buy infinate ammo is not fun though
S rank - 75% or more on accuracy.
Kills - over 100
timers - grab atleast 50% of them (theres usually 6 or so)
bonus box - there is a chest on each level with a combo chainer in it, grab that and it double points for a while.
wesker kicks ass to use, you are using the STARS wesker right?
played offline with a mate earlier on merc and got myself SS ranks on 4 levels so far, need to do them all like it though now -_-
of the 150 enemies on each level you will find a chicken on each (sometimes a snake)
they must be killed aswell.
the boos cannot be killed (for good) until you have killed off everyone else 1st, then he will die.
best trick: both play as wesker (STARS) or chris (basic)
drop the weak guns to prevent finding ammo for them.
when you start learn the locations of the extra times and the combo chainer (its allways in a chest)
start the mission, both work together getting all timers, group up the majini, then grab the combo before you start killing.
we managed to snag 30,000 points with the combo active in a few seconds simply by using shotguns.
Dude, I don't think I actually have the skill to get SS rankings in Capcom game My question was if there was anything I can get from it.
I haven't unlocked STARS Wesker yet. I haven't beaten the ship or the prison with an A ranking so far. Those almost unkillable super enemies are pretty annoying.
What are the boos? Are those these super tough enemies? Because if they are, they can be killed, it just takes a lot Magnum ammo.
How can I use Wesker's killermove? You said something about running and the hitting X?
anung, if your allready getting A's its not hard mate on my own i can get a S easily, i think i can help boost you into SS rankings pretty quickly
are you on about reapers?
if not what do they look like?
charge at an enemy using the run button, once close enough it will say press X to finish.
press it and he has a jumping knee attack that kills zombies instantly. (they dont need to be stunned or knocked back 1st)
not much use against mass zombies, but if you need to move back to reload its great for moving the odd few here and there.
Don't you know what the Reapers are? They're these insect thingys who can instant kill you with some sort of scything talon. You fight them in mines stage.
They're almost immune to fire, but can be hurt by exlosives (at least so I read on Resident Evil Wikia )
i know what they are thats why i was asking you if thats what you were on about lol.
they are piss easy to kill, 3 magnum rounds.
1st to the chest, it will rear up, shoot the white lump on its chest again and knock it back, shoot it a third time in the back (a white lump will appear) and finish it off
explosive grenades and rounds work pretty well allthough i prefer the magnum approach.
dont waste time with anything other than a shotgun, magnum, or heavy type weapon as you will just piss it off.
it takes around 250 shots with a skorpion to kill, so dont bother with it
I managed to get an S-rank at the missle level with Midnight Wesker. His supermove is activated by pressing R3 btw. not by just running. But I didn't get the impression that it's as usefull as Krauser's killermove in RE4 Mercenaries.
I also unlocked Jill, Battle Suit, so now I have all the characters. I just hope the VS. mode will come soon
you can also activate it by running and using the action button im yet to try it normally.
had to help a friend go through the game on normal yesterday, so started to upgrade some guns while helpnig him.
guns left to upgrade:
S75 (2 more power needed)
PSG1
sig pistol
2nd shotgun (not sure of name )
jail breaker
L.hawk
AK74
MP5
once i done those ive finally finished every gun.
the S&W500 is a good laugh makes hurting wesker pretty easy most of the time, since in the dark he cant avoid it.
managed to grab a few more BSAA emblems aswell, putting me up to 28 now.
and 2 more annoying things.
1: marshlands is the only level i dont have an A or S rank on :K
you unlock 2 figures, 1 for all levels with A's, 1 for all levels with S's, yet i can never get above a B on it
2: my total game time is now 5 hours 3 minutes :K
need to try and cut just over 3 minutes off that to get the infinate launcher.
The vs mode should be already up, I heard that many people were raising hell because it came out for download the same time the game released.
You don't get anything special for higher ranks, you just get exchange points. 3,000 or so for SS.
For the extra 3 you can just kill the script bosses. In the village(not town) when the two giant majini appear, kill them and the other guys won't spawn. If you dodge the white chick's grab then you can get behind her and do an instantkill that prevents the cephalo from popping out.
Other times, just run past guys who are in between you and the exit for a level.
EDIT: Don't forget to kill the fish in the marshlands level where you collect the 4 slabs, it'll help your enemies routed. You can also turbo all the way up to the docks without braking and still get off without taking damage if you can time it right.
B will unlock the next level
A will unlock a new character
S will give you some nice points
SS will earn you 5,000 points
in game:
A rank on all levels: figure unlocked (jill rare)
S rank on all levels: figures unlocked (sheva rare and chris rare)
also, enemies are dependant on kills in merc mode.
ill use public assembly as an example.
there are 3 executioner majini in the level.
kill 20 basic majini and the 1st executioner will show up
kill 40 basic majini and the 2nd executioner will show up
kill 75 basic majini and the 3rd executioner will show up
it is possible to have all 3 at once moving about if you do not kill them.
majini are restricted to 12 at a time, once you kill one, another will take its place.
the chicken can be killed, allthough it will give no points until the end of the game when additional points are added on.
Merc ranks:
B - 30,000 points / 60,000 in co-op mode
A - 40,000 points / 80,000 in co-op mode
S - 80,000 points / 150,000 in co-op mode
SS - kill all enemies
note: merc mode is great for getting easy achievements.
i played it at a friends and got him the following in 1 game:
"heart stopper"
"lead asperin"
"stop, drop and roll"
"egg on your face"
"egg hunt"
"baptism by fire"
"ride the lightening"
that was in the space of just over 5 mins (and a SS rank to boot)
if anyone wants it ill post the full list of what enemies are in each level, how many there are and how to get them to show up ill also be as nice as to reveal each enemies weak spots, and the best weapons for the job
and for the sheer randomness of it, ill upload a vid later of me and a friend killing Uroboros with stun rods on veteran ok, we had to keep healing as it does infect you if close, but it was worth it

Red Executioner A - Kill 50+ Enemies & Executioner A
Executioner B - Kill 90+ Enm. & Red Executioner A
Red Executioner B - Kill 120+ Enemies & Executioner B
Note: The Red Executioner Majini is not easily downed. He's pretty much as
tough as a standard executioner on veteran diff, and has 180% Speed.
His resistance is also heavily upgraded. While he has a fleshy weak
spot on his back, note that his head remains just as weak. Besides, his
head will often be easier to target.
Note #2: you will find that not all levels add up to 150 enemies, this is because chickens fill in the few remaining enemy spots.
thats all merc enemies listed if anyone needs a list of either; treasures, figurines or BSAA emblems ill be happy to list them
if using either standard chris or sheva the chainsaw majini dont go into zerk mode, they will do against other characters.
when you start you get chris and sheva as starting characters, when using either of these it seems to make the enemies alot easier to kill.
the lab is far from licker only they are found on the middle platform mainly, and allways attack in large groups.
in 2 player you start at either the bottom or top of the level, which one of you will start with an RPG aimed at you, which when it hits you instantly takes you down to dying status, once past that part its pretty easy
i sold CoD5, got bore dof it too quickly.
idea was to get up to 10th prestige like i did on 4, but its just too plain and boring.
The enfield is in CoD5?
I know it has the Springfield, Mosin-Nagant, Arisaka, PTRS-1, and some other one but I thought it had one german rifle in there.
So, why did you leave the game yesterday when I asked to join?
I only need 3 more Emblems in the stage where you fight Wesker for the 1st time, but I was considering only going there when I have unlimited ammo for the 3rd Magnum. I just need to upgrade the power 2 or 3 more times, then it's full and I can purchase unlimited ammo.
I still have problems with with the Reaper in the mines though.
anung, i was waiting for him to connect to the game it wouldnt let him once you tried to.
i was also on and off going to the shop or out for a smoke.
the last magnum (the 500) kicks ass, i dont know why i didnt go for it earlier.
5,000 power works wonders.
had a quick game at around 5am, got put with someone who had a infinate ammo L.hawk, so that was pretty amusing, though ranks seem to drop when kills get 1 sided :(
anung, im not too sure about this since im yet to see it happen, so i wont say im 100% on this, but:
in the center of mines there is a 4 story tower, sit ontop of that once the reaper shows, i was using chris at the time and blasting away with a shotgun.
seems that the platforms a bit too high for it to get to (allthough zombies do climb the ladders)
* 5.1 S&W M29
* 5.2 L. Hawk
* 5.3 S&W M500 (upgrade the S&W M29)
# 6 Explosives
* 6.1 Grenade Launcher
* 6.2 Rocket Launcher
# 7 Special Weapons
* 7.1 Stun Rod
* 7.2 Gatling Gun (upgrade the VZ61)
* 7.3 Longbow (upgrade the S75)
Additional Items needed:
all 6 types of grenade launcher rounds.
every type of ammo.
all 3 grenade types.
seems like alot, but doesent take long.
Item duplication trick:
you will need: an extra control pad and spare profile.
1: start any level with both profiles playing.
2: have the 2nd profile send an expensive item to the 1st (rotton eggs or gold eggs work well)
3: click exit game.
4: have the 2nd player click NO to the save options, and the 1st player (you) click yes.
5: start up another game, sign both players in and you will have the item, the 2nd player will also have the item.
6: keep going with this, by the end you can be duplicating 45 rotton eggs at a time.
7: simply store them as you go and keep the duplication running.
45 rotton eggs
2,500 sell value
112,500 free money each time you duplicate 45 eggs
may seem like alot of work at 1st, but once your duplicating 45 eggs at a time it doesent take long to get over 1,000,000.
Random junk about the Figures:
you get an achievement for having all the figures (im now 1 away)
to get them all you will need to have done the following:
finish the game (any difficulty)
have all 30 BSAA emblems
have an A rank on every chapter
have an S rank on every chapter (this gets the wesker rare figure that i still need)
easy S rank guide:
Deaths - if you finish a chapter without being killed you get a S from that.
accuracy - you need over 60% accuracy to get an S rank.
kills - you need to kill around 75% of the enemies on a level to get an S for it (some levels have unlimited respawn enemies, make the most of it.
Time - this one is easy enough, run through the level only stopping to kill anything in your way.
the lowest you can do to get an S rank is: A,A,S,S
getting all 4 as an S rank will only Give you an S rank for that level, but you do get 5,000 points for doing it.
About Mercenaries I only have SS Rankings on two of the characters Battle Suit Jill, and BSAA Jill (My favorite of the Jills and favorite Merc Charrie) even then thats only on the First stage, hard to find peope to play with online.
But only if I bought the standard european version. The German version doesn't have the Zombie mode. People here are rather picky when it comes to the subject....
They accept Zombies, (at least sometimes) what they don't accept is screwing with German history. Zombies are okay (again: sometimes), but Nazi Zombies are a No-Go. Wolfenstein games are banned for example. I'm still surprised they didn't do anything to the first hellboy movie.
halonachos wrote:Wait, the nazis didn't have zombies? I really need to stop getting history lessons from videogames.
PS. I can only assume that Bloodrayne was also banned.
I'm not sure about that one actually. I think it got a release, but with a lot of cuts, but mostly regarding the violence.
The Dreadnote wrote:Oh, yeah, the history thing. Well, that's a little understandable. Still, one would hope they'd let it go someday...
Well there are basically two problems with that.
1. German authorities and official beraus are very sensitive when it comes to the topic.
2. There are laws in Germany which prohibit the public showing of Nazi iconography unless it's in a historical context. Best example: I read Marvel's "Heroes Reborn: Captain America", all Swastikas were covered up to be a square with a cross in it.
edit: another very important example I should mention: It is common in some groups of teenagers here to show clearly that they are against Nazis with shirts or pins.
The picture which is used most often is this here:
Theoretically, this is prohibited by law.
So, I just did that thing where a discussion suddenly came to Nazis, what was that called again?
1)He wasn't completely destroyed and a part of him recreated him.
2)He was a clone and there is another of him.
3)He has a son/daughter that is just as awesomely evil.
4)The main character was infected and will mutate into him like that chaos hero lucius something.
The RPGs missed his head and exploded behind him. And Wesker wouldn't be the first Umbrelly "creature" to survive missles or a lava-like substance. Mr.X in RE2 fell into a vat of molten metal and came out again. And in the fight with Wesker on the ship you shoot the missles so they EXPLODE RIGHT IN HIS FACE!
