What the title says really.
I'm a big fan of NOLF, or No One Lives Forever, of which two games have been released so far along with a crappy tie-in. I'd love to see the trilogy finish with all loose ends resolved. Above all I want to know what H.A.R.M. really means!

Heres my list:
Firewarrior [PS2] - For the simple reason of making a hell load better and on the next generation consoles/pc, i believe it had a noble heart but a poor buget and love, it needs to be given the love, care, time and the chance to redeem 40K on console.
Ghost in the shell: stand aone complex [PS2] - It had suh a good story line but really felt rused, it had a rich bckground to drw from and i feel with the new technology they could make a much more deeper game like the series.
Flower [PSN/PS3] - This enchanting and angelic game has me still hooked and it is so emotional, i have never played a game like it, and i really want more, maybe a different environment and species of flower.
Area 51 [PS2] - This game had it all for me, it was that fething scary, had a super deep and rich story line, awsome game play and had me hooked from the go but it lacked any form of good co-op or online, there is so much yet to be answered, i want more

Nothing saying that Republic Commando 2 can't come to light though...
Heck, the books were really just prequels or stopgaps into the timeframe from the game. The last one, Order 66, tied in with the Kashyyk level. The next one "Imperial Commando" is going to be picking up from there, so...

Konami seriously needs to take back the reigns on the Silent Hill franchise. Silent Hill Origins was terrible (Though ultimately ignorable), Silent Hill 5 is a blasphemous piece of trash that's not worthy of anyone's time, and the upcoming Silent Hill remake, though it looks interesting, just doesn't seem like it's going to do the series justice. It's very depressing to think that I'll never see a good Silent Hill game again, but it looks like that's what is going to happen. Vagrant Story. And while they're at it, a proper sequel to Final Fantasy Tactics (Without all of the horrendous things they did to Ivalice with Final Fantasy Tactics advanced) would be amazing, especially with the power of the current generation. Akihiko Yoshida's amazing artwork would work wonderfully as high-resolution sprites, and Hitoshi Sakimoto's beautiful compositions could finally be recorded by a full-on orchestra. But unfortunately, Ivalice has fallen far too far from it's original design to make any acceptable sequel. Another sequel to Bushido Blade would give the fighting game genre a nice breath of fresh air. This time around, the concept of realistic damage (I.E. - No health bar) could be done justice. Just think of all of the possibilities. Real-time rendered damage, dismemberment, decapitation. Ah, that would be incredible. Unfortunately, I have a feeling that Bushido Blade 3 isn't coming around any time soon. A sequel to the Chrono (Cross; Trigger) series would be nice, as that seems to be the only JRPG series that's worth my time to play anymore. The most amazing turn-based RPG system ever made, in my opinion, and the time travel element would give you actually legitimate puzzles that don't seem like a pointless waste of time. Putting it on the 360 or PS3 would allow for things like an absolutely massive world, tons of different 'eras' all fully fleshed out, a party roster that could finally rival Suikoden, and maybe even branching decisions that permanently affect the world. I might just be the only person who enjoyed Cross more than Trigger (And that could probably be attributed to my hatred for Akira Toriyama), but it's definitely time to bring on the sequel. Also, Luna, don't give up all hope on The Third Birthday. At the very least, it's going to look and play much better than the PS1 originals (Not to mention that Square is using their incredible CGI tech that they've been refining since the first Final Fantasy movie), I have a feeling they'll add in voice acting (as it seems like that's been the trend with their games these days), and I have an even stronger feeling that they're going to streamline the combat to make it a lot less clunky. Plus, calling a PSP game an improper release is just silly, isn't it? At least we're getting one at all (it seemed pretty hopeless, didn't it?). Just look at Crisis Core, and tell me that Square Enix doesn't know how to make an amazing PSP game.

XIII. Damned cliffhanger. like hell am I reading a COMIC BOOK to find out what happens next!
Other than that, I actually want less sequels. Why does every good game need a sequal?
Case in point: Prince of Persia. Sands of Time was really superb and unlike anything else that had come out beforehand. Unfortunately, all of the games since them have just felt like rehashes of a concept that only needed to be done once. Even the recent (third) reboot was devoid of the originality that made SoT so enthralling.
I would honestly be happier with less sequels, not more.

The new PoP was trying really hard. It had a new art style, a new combat system, new characters and a new theme. Unfortunately none of the new stuff, except maybe the characters, was any good. The only things that worked really well were the writing and the jumping puzzles. Unfortunately we have had 3 full games worth of well-executed jumping puzzles, so whats the damn point?
It struck a terrible balance between old and new. Like the opposite of MGS4.

You do know that what the Super Mario Bros. 2 you know in fact wasn't a Super Mario game.
Altough old-school Castlevania was okay, I prefer the Metroid-like games with a giant Castle to explore and leveling up. Though Alucard really isn't a very interesting character.

Kingdom Hearts for xbox, good games, but no cards just please no cards.
Skies of Arcadia they would have to do it in a different time period or go the way of final fantasy and have it in a completely different world with no actual connections to the other one, because discovering where things were would be difficult if it already happened.
The Witcher it was just too cool of a game it actually gave the feel of taking care of number one by whatever means necessary in a world that is mostly both hostile and doing the same.

Au contraire. You may want to read my post once more. It's not pretty pictures I'm after but innovative game play. That's something Bioshock lacked. Maybe Sea of Dreams will correct that with play as a Big Daddy but, as for the first go around, wielding a gun in one hand and magic powers in the other is nothing original. The story was, as you said, solid. But merely solid. It wasn't the sort of thing that I got swept up in at least. Maybe that's because I actually read Ayn Rand and saw her drivel for the sham that it was many years before. Sorry, mate: it wasn't that pretty, it wasn't that compelling, and it wasn't that fun.

To add once more to the BioShock discussion: I have to agree with Manchu at one point. It basically was just "guns and magic" powers. Freezing and elecricity attacks is nothing new and shooting a big daddy with lighting was just as effective (and easier to to) then shooting in a pool of water he's in but you're not. The setting was brilliant though and I really enjoyed the story. However, I don't think this game should have a sequel. It works fantastic on it's own and I don't see what another adventure in rapture could really add to the concept.

As someone who is very interested in video game storytelling, I have to say that I was fairly unimpressed with Bioshock. It had some interesting ideas, and the actual environment was compelling, but on the whole I felt that it didn't come together very well. It was too gamey to be a story experience, and to storyish for a gaming experience.
On the other hand, I get why many people like it.

I think I prefer the few audio snippets you get in BioShock to the endless codec conversions of MGS.

Those were a good idea, which Iv'e seen used effectively in a few games (sort of Doom 3, also freeware game Iji). However, it really only works as part of a greater framework. Bioshock relied solely on it, so I just felt like nothing was happening through the whole game. It needed more: I just saw that happen, so I should react like this" moments, like in HL2.
The codec conversations in MGs at least created drama and tension, since that was what they were designed to do. In Bioshock, they actually suffered from not controlling the player experience enough. Anyone who plays HL2 with commentary will know that you can guide players without them realising it, and 2K failed to do that. this made Bioshock an interesting experiment, but ultimately not one that I would play in sequel form.

I'd also like to throw jade empire on the list and back up the true sequel to KOTOR.

They made a sequel to bloodrayne, I would personally enjoy a sequel to star wars battlefront 2 and then a prequel of the new sequel. Automatically Appended Next Post: There are 3 models of PS3 that play PS2 games, the 60GB, Old 80GB, 80GB w/ MGS4. The newer 40GB, 80GB, and 160GB don't play the games.

On a quick and interesting sidenote, The PS2 "emulation" in the newer PS3s is actually still half hardware. The PS3 emulates the "emotion engine" processor, while the graphics synthesiser (which was shifted to the same chip as the processor for the slimline PS2s) is still firmly entrenched inside that PS3.
See, the PS3 is crazy powerful and all, but the Emotion Engine and PS2 Graphics chip are incredibly complicated, far moreso than your average processor. Even with six available processor cores, the PS3 just can't keep up with that much emulation.
So next time somebody tells you that they should update all PS3s with backwards compatibility, bitchslap them in the face with that information!

Didn't the company that was making the new battlefront game go under?

One of the recent game informers i think had an article about how all of their software is being dumped from the game and the cool new stuff they were doing couldn't be recreated so my hopes were dashed, but it seems like its still getting made, just by a different company and with much different gameplay.

I definitely want to see an updated, truly updated mind you, X-Wing versus TIE Fighter coming out multiplatform.
That game, was brilliant. Especially the Balance of Power expansion.
I still have memories of hiding out in an asteroid field in a B-Wing formation, ambushing the Executor.

After having just played it, I want another Ghostbusters game for the 360. It is GREAT! It is like I am playing a movie! Very funny dialog and descriptions of stuff in general. If you liked the first Ghostbusters movie, you will love this game.

I so want this game! However Sony has done a weird deal in the UK, meaning that it's out now for PS3, but us poor 360 owners have to wait until later in the year . I heard it has multiplayer, what's it like?

We need more wii games. The wii has so much potential to be awesome, but half of the games for it are garbage and the only good stuff is Mario.
Also:
Sins of a Solar Empire = best game ever made for PC.
That definitely needs a sequel.
I also want a Total War: Medieval III and a Total War: Rome II. Total War Games are the best. I also want a modern Taotal War game.

Wait. Is THAT the reason they sold Rare?
And I think to say that they stop certain games so that their own titles won't be outshined is a pretty ridicoulus statement. Nintendo knows that with the crawling speed they produce their titles they need some good 3rd party support.

Yet they aren't getting it because of the way they work with 3rd party developers. Sony and Microsoft actually send people down there to work with the 3rd party developers(unlike Nintendo) to make sure the games work. Also nintendo has to give a seal of approval which can take months and usually it will come after the expected release date therefore making them push it back. look it up.
But I'm sure everyone will disagree
Don't get me wrong nintedo is a great company but there business practices should be likened to that of gw.

Only GW works really well with their third party companies, such as FFG and THQ.

Really? I wasn't aware of that. Interesting new perspective on things.

The way things work is that FFG and THQ (i.e. Relic and those other companies) get a free reign to do as they please, as long as it fits the IP and passes the standards set by GW. Dark Heresy, Dawn of War, Blood Bowl and Rogue Trader are all thoroughly checked and examined by GW to see if it does justice to the established IP. And only then are they allowed to sell it.
On the other side of things GW knows what these companies can do and thus gives them a lot of freedom to do things. As long as the IP isn't violated or raped everybody is happy. Especially GW, as it makes them more income and brings in more potential customers for the main games.

The Seal of Approval is slapped onto anything. SeanBaby did an article on really bad games that were given the seal.
