When I said mad I didn't mean it in the "angry" sense. I was just making a comment on all of the conversing that had taken place in my absense and the relative sanity of it all.
And none of this "you took the role of GM" nagging business. It happens when it happens, and that will be this weekend.

The film Zulu was the main source of inspiration behind me beginning a Praetorian IG army,I often find myself humming "Men of Harlech" when I'm painting/converting the little pith helmeted buggers.

It took you about five minutes to prove your point and under a minute to prove mine.

All of us like Fitzz, some of us like him a bit too much.
lolwut? I am sixteen, and they allow me in bars, they even allow me to drink alcohol. The bartenders just don't care, as long as they can get money out of you.

Hurray for belgium! All other beer is weak compared to ours
Most American beer is pretty weak,at least the commercial brands.
There are some micro brewed beers that I've had that were quiet good though.
Americans can make beer? This I have to check out.
edit: new page
There are some decent American beers/ales...Sam Adams varieties are quite good IMO and as I said some micro brews are nice as well, but the vast majority of American made lagers are little more than flavorless tap water..
Scrazza wrote:pfft, why stick to belgian brewn beers only? huray for Vodka Melon!
Vodka Melon?...sounds a bit sweet for my taste, never much cared for "candy drinks"....had a few bad experiences with Peppermint Schnapps and MD 20/20 in my youth,so now I stick with ales, stouts and whiskey for the most part.
I've heard Yuengling is very good, have yet to try it though...I suppose I'll pick some up the next time I go shopping even though I still have a few Sam Adams and a couple of Newcastle's sitting in the fridge.
halonachos wrote:I know why you haven't had any Yuengling yet Fitzz, they just started shipping to Georgia on October 27, 2008.
It has only 3 breweries and is america's oldest brewery.
Its mainly a northern beer though so the only reason why I know about it is because my dad's from Rhode Island.
Ah...That would explain why then, amusingly I myself only recently arrived in Ga.,I'll definitely pick some up as it now has the Halonachos seal of approval.
@ Sillyboy..
Sounds interesting,I'll look around to see if I can find some.

I actually don't drink, but out of all of the beer I've tasted I would have to say that its the best. I haven't tried Sam Adams because it doesn't come into the house, but Yuengling is actually another lager. If you go to Pennsylvania and ask for a lager they give you a Yuengling so I would guess that others think its good.

Sadly though, each one of these pics takes almost an entire day to do... and even then for example, that Grunt that I drew I went through about 3 rough drafts before I got it to the point that I was happy with it.
I was going to try to do a character based off everyones description and do a "group photo" if you will, but sadly that would take a really, REALLY, long time and at this moment just don't have the time for it.
Dr. Buckley's assistant (Insert name here, I forgot and it's now buried somewhere 10+ pages back ) rubbed her forehead trying to rub the exhaustion and sleepiness away. She had been hard at work almost non stop since abducting the girl from the camp above. So far Dr. B's plan had gone off without a hitch and with the added mobilization of the camp to add to the confusion, nobody had noticed the girl missing.
She looked behind her at another table where the heavily drugged girl lay restrained and gagged in an almost coma state. An Iv had been inserted into her arm for quick and easy drug management.
On a table sitting next to her, several vials sat neatly in a row with various ID numbers and markings on the outside. She lifted the first one and stuck a needle through the self sealing rubber lid and siphoned off a predetermined amount of the unknown liquid. Making sure one last time that the girls restraints were fully secure, she stuck the needle into the insertion point mid line and injected the contents into the IV stream and watched as the reddish mixture swirled and mixed as it traveled down the tube and into her second patient.
"No turning back now.." she muttered to nobody in particular and started to note the girls vital signs.

@ Halonachos I gotta thank you for that Der reise trailer. The theme tune is on my Ipod now ^-^
No problem, I just love the zombie map songs. In fact people started to say that the songs are supposed to represent the story's main antagonist, god I want a boss battle in this freaking game mode so much.
115 is the newest one and I have to agree with others, its the best so far.
So...In the attempt to satiate my zombie needs today,I spent a few hours watching "Dead Set".
If you've not seen it Dead Set is a five part "mini series" centering around the cast/crew of a reality TV show (Big Brother) in the UK during a zombie outbreak.
It's actually very good and I highly recommend it.
"Can't be long now," Ranger whispered. Mack grunted his agreement, and felt around his belt for his canteen. Snatching it up, he flicked the cap off with his thumb and downed the remaining content before discarding it.
They'd been up in those trees for quite awhile, just watching. Watching as their prey scurried about in an attempt to save itself. He smirked. "What?" Ranger queried. "Nothing, it's just that at the end of the world, we still kill each other," Mack replied. Ranger raised his eyebrows and dismissively shook his head, "it's in our nature I guess."
Then there was a sound. A fallen twig snapping underfoot - there was no mistaking it. Mack spun round, his pistol held in two-handed aim. He scanned ground for any trace of a flanking party. Ranger was glancing around also, even his expert eye unable to find anything. Mack turned to look at him resignedly. "No way that there's Zeds 'ere, we'd have dropped 'em."
It was just then that he realised that Ranger was just staring at him, unmoving, looking as if he'd just seen a ghost. "You alright? Ranger? Dude, what's up with you?"
Much to Mack's surprise, Ranger's body slumped forward onto the tree-branch infront of him - a bloody knife-wound prevalent on his upper neck, indicating where a blade had penetrated his skull. The corpse then tumbled off of the branch and hit the ground with a thud. Mack barely had time to register what had happened when the Assassin put a silenced bullet between his eyes.
The killer smiled, his eyes flickering with primordial danger just as his body exuded skill and silence, the gun and blade he held extensions of his own body.
"Чтобы думать, я становлюсь заплаченным за это," he chuckled as he jumped from the tree and continued on.

It can't be Batman, during the initial outbreak Gotham city was one of the primary centers of activity...Batman,in the attempt to stop what he believed to be a routine mugging, which was actually three zombies feeding on an old man,was bitten several times...before he could return to the Bat cave and figure out an antidote to the virus..he was shot and killed by The Joker, and has since reanimated....
He now wanders the streets of Gotham along with a veritable army of the undead.

Bats is just a human with a brilliant mind, lots of gizmo's,a fantastic amount of combat knowledge and skill and a flair for theatre..
You know man, your the only person who's character isn't directly involved in this event.which means you could be RPing a lot more about your characters/NPCs journey to meet with Snow in New York than just what music they're listening to on the way there.
Karon passes by norfolk, red 5 has allready been launched and is on patrol looking for a beat up hummer, as Karon rounded a bend a stream of gunfire errupted across th road, gutting the engine of the hummer. troops decended on rappel lines and surrounded the vehicle
"your on our wanted list" one of the troopers said, before tossing a primed grenade into the vehicle
Anyway...I didn't mean my comments as an attack on Karon,I simply meant that he has the opportunity,as the only player not involved in the event,to flesh out his "Snow/Patrick" story and in doing so perhaps suggest some ideas as to what happens next in the overall RP.
Yeah, I realize, and I will do this indeed. Its going to take them a few days of straight driving to get to new york, and I'm going to RP one or two "speedbumps" along the way before they get there.
Don't take it that I'm not excited, I am very much so that I am able to develop another side of my character.

"I'm screwed," Halon thought while looking the zombie in his undead eyes, "I can't speak Russian."
"I can't speak Russian." Halon repeated out loud this time and awaited the nomming.

Gone for a few days and I come back to find.....
Dark is still posting, but doesn't have time to finish the event...
Karon is still spamming "I'm so G, I'm almost a H!" demotivational posters that have NOTHING to do with the topic or RP at all..
And the RP as a whole has gone exactly.... nowhere!
Guess I will check back in... next week!
Or we can all just admit that the damn thing is dead and or dying and just let it do just that. I mean hell, we have less then a page or two of actual content in the last 15-20 pages.

That's not a very good idea. Because then I'll be writing up the event this weekend for no reason other than my own satisfaction! Whoopie!
Dark still is posting, but doesn't have time to finish the event...
I don't get that either
Join the club.
Dark probably has a good reason to leave us hanging (I hope). But I have to say this event is taking a lot of time.
I would love to do some more rp-ing, but we're stuck until after the event.
Oh well, i just bought left for dead 2. Gives me more time to crush zombies!
Yep, this thread is most certainly dead, it was dead at about page 50 which is a ripe old age for an RP. Hopefully this will be the final event and the RP will be ended for now because I know that my creative juices are just about next to empty and Dark is in school so even though he can write some pretty fantastic events he's busy with puberty and his education, and lord knows that battle is tough as it is without adding the stress of running an RP.
Hopefully Dark will end this RP and leave us with a cliffhanger so that it may be continued in the future.Right now we just need to end this thing and let it die gracefully, Dark pull the plug please.
FITZZ wrote: Wait?...What?..end the RP?...Am I seriously going to have to wait for a whole new RP to start up to get to a Tombstone vs Patrick showdown?
Sheesh, everyone gets annoyed a few days before I get round to posting. For Christs sakes, if it comes to it I'll just edit the OP to say that the thread is also for friendly conversation - making the so called "spam" as you put it, on-topic.
Also, do you realize your red text is rather infuriating and makes it seem like you're trying to come across as hostile?
Dark its not the fact that we're annoyed its the fact that we're tired, this thing has been dragged out for 100 pages almost. Sure the newer guys will have the will to RP, but we who have been here since page 1 are pretty tired.
No matter what you do or say I plan to bow out after this event. I don't know if anyone else will do the same, but at least you'll know why I stopped posting.

You are arguing with a god incarnate (on this site at least). FYI red text is used for mod related buisness, and they use normal text to be normal
I'm actually surprised that the mods are letting this go OT for so long.
and would it hurt to post little bits leading up to this weekend, even just 1/2 paragraphs
[sarcasticly]yey, new page[blows party roll thing]
I am aware of why they use the red text. It still annoys me, especially considering that there's been no editing happening.
Might I also point out that, while I have contributed minimally to the large amount of off-topic posts, it's you guys who've carried it.
"God incarnate". Heh.
@Halonachos - I can understand that, plus you haven't been too active in-character over the entirety of the roleplay (at least, comparatively) so I can only assume you have other things to attend to (don't we all?). Would you like your character killed, or not?
Dudes, I'm considering posting something tonight, but I still have one outstanding piece of work to complete tonight, so I will most likely post on Friday and the weekend. Tomorrow night also holds a slim possibility of me posting something.
But, this event is gonna be big, and to get the best I'll need to do it in large parts. A few paragraphs isn't going to do too much.
Just curious...a thread gets "complaints" by a user flagging another persons post, via the top right "!" in a triangle.
So, I would presume that seeing as this thread is getting "complaints" by its own participants, I would assume that this thread is breathing its last few breaths, as the people who keep it alive, are killing it.
FM Ninja 048 wrote:I thought we were going to be able to adjust our actions as the event went on?

Of course you'll be able to adjust your actions. Doesn't mean that this predicted 10-part event isn't going to have long parts.
Oh, and this definitely won't be the last event.

I wonder who is complaining and why. Not.
I have a feeling that whoever is complaining is amongst those who were involved in the nearly-thread-killing row earlier on. So, they are either inconsiderate or out to ruin others fun.
People who see the preview boxes in the recent threads/survivor games... may notice the content of the tread and/or just be interested on why it's so popular then decide to flag the post based on what they have seen.
It is very unlikely that there's people who are not involved in this roleplay who are 'bringing it down', as it were. Hell, most people won't even click on this thread because of the huge amount of pages that there are. Too far ahead in the story, they would presume. Quite rightly, too.

As one of those directly involved in the "nearly-thread killing row" that took place about 40 pages back,I must speak on our behalf, ghosty,jp and myself had,for all intents and purposes "packed our bags" and were headed for the door.
Due to a lot of PM discussion between Dark and myself,I opted to remain in the RP,as jp did as well, ghosty opted to leave and I won't question his wisdom here, however,I believe it unlikely that anyone involved would attempt to sabotage the RP...I for one have invested far to much time and effort into it to want to see it crash and burn.
Now,obviously there is a bit of frustration over the length of time Events are taking to be sorted out,but I don't see why that would be a catalyst for anyone to complain to mods..I'd actually see that as a bit silly.
Nevertheless...I hope with all sincerity that the Event will begin to find it's way into print and that we can all move forward with the RP.

You remind me of my father a lot, he served as a marine for eight years.
I could post, but I have all the time in the world to RP myself interacting with NPC's, as I know Dark's event will take quite a long while, which involves I believe everyone but myself, rightfully so with my character in the condition that he is in.
Possibly, the reason why you got reported was not because of slow posting, but maybe it's more due to be people getting really quite sick of JP and Karon bitching at each other. I doubt someone would have posted to a Mod complaining that Darko seems to be a bit lazy. Just saying.

Doing a quick search, this is the reason I think why Dark got a warning from a mod:

Not because anyone here reported you for being a slow poster.
My characters death is a small price to pay if it means giving what a majority of the player base has wanted for well over a month now with the death of Uber Ninja and bring peace and sanity back to the RP.
Dark aint that a bit childish? I mean, you fought tooth and nail to keep this rp going, and now your saying that you'll kick out players? Isn't that a bit of a contradiction in terms? And not to mention, I'm sure if you threw Jp out, you would certainly ruffle someone's feathers quite considerably. And food for thought, you knock out 2 players, and your left with..what 4 players? Would that really work?
Yes,killing jps character off as a "disciplinary action" would indeed "ruffle some feathers",however I also disagree with killing off Karon for "disciplinary action" as well...I want to kill his character off.
Anyway,I see things in a simple manner,Jp and Karon can call a cease fire and not communicate in any non RP related manner...at all,and Darko can attempt to be a bit more timely in his event post...or we can all pick up our toys and call it a day.
Karon wrote:I have never had any intention of attacking JP personally, or insulting him. He posted a mocking comment at me, and I responded in kind.
In all fairness both of you have taken shots at each other, just as I myself freely admit to taking shots at you Karon in the past,I'm simply saying a "cease fire" would probably go a long way in prolonging the life of this RP.
If we have any grievances...use them in the RP,turn it into something positive rather than sniping at one another out of character.
...Bleh,when did I become a diplomat??
I'm going to take a stab at an RP in attempts to get this thread back on track, don't worry though, the RP is a Tombstone and his thoughts RP so it doesn't have any affect on the event.
Just see it as the musings of a semi-crazed biker as he and Halon +group rush back towards the Lumber Camp.
@ Darko...Even if you plan to throw some surprise at our Characters in the tank and accompanying NPCs,this RP shouldn't affect them,as they events in this RP happen at no particular time other then from the moment Tombstone and Company discover no one is at Jennifer's basecamp.
BIC:
Tombstone glared out of the tanks main gunport, feeling the familiar rage building inside.
He once again cursed Patrick's luck.
On route to Jennifer's base, the desire for revenge had steadily grown inside the biker,he dreamed of catching Patrick and the others unaware and unleashing a fury straight from hell on them.
His hopes had been dashed upon their arrival at an empty base, once again...the bikers revenge had been snatched from his grasp, and it was all he could do to maintain some sort of composer as Halon issued the order to return to the Lumber Camp.
The Biker held a grim hope that Patrick may have thrown in his lot with Jennifer and was currently on route with her to attack the Lumber Camp, but in his heart...he knew this wasn't the case.
Patrick may have been at Jennifer's Base, but Tombstone doubted the man would return with her to the Lumber Camp,No...he would have seen to his wounds, given Jennifer any information he had...and disappeared.
Tombstones rage grew...he had lost his prey,Patrick could have gone anywhere...there was no way of knowing which direction he'd gone...or to where he may be headed.
The biker gritted his teeth together, forcing blind fury away,he'd find him...if he had to search every inch of the country...one day..he'd find that bastard.
For now...he'd have to focus on the task at hand, they had to make it back to the Lumber Camp and help the others.
"That biker is hypnotized by me right now, I guarantee." Patrick thought out loud
"Heh, I wish I could play this song to him" Theron said, as he flipped on Hypnotize by B.I.G
"How much longer do I have to listen to this bs?" Snyder whined
"Don't you fething disrespect a legend!" Patrick shouted, a tendril of anger finding its way into his tone
"These thugs have never done anything for me" Snyder responded, un-intimidated
"Yeah, well I was the same as him when I was young. I was in the same fething situation until I was eighteen years old, just like him. If you disrespect a legend like Christopher Wallace, I will kill you" Patrick shouted, angry
"But-" Snyder stuttered
"Shut the feth up" Patrick ordered
A tear found its way to Pain's eyes. He remembers the years when the men he looked up to were murdered, very young at the time, but he was forced to grow up, and could relate to what these men were speaking of.
"From the Mississippi down to the East Coast" Patrick whispered "and its still all good"
"We are only a few hours away now, bud" Theron said, turning his head
"Good, getting there is the easy part" Patrick sighed
I was reading the first few pages of the RP again, and found this comedic gem by Fitzz.
On a side note concerning Patrick " Knicking the loot"/killing a half dozen well armed bikers...unless Patrick is related to the Terminator and Mandrake the Magician,It's a bit difficult to believe he dispatched several bikers and then managed to drive away in 3 Hummers and 3 big rigs at the same time.

I really laughed at "Mandrake the Magician"
Ah..yes,I remember that, from the event that spurred the whole Tombstone/Patrick rivalry to begin with...and to think when I initialy RPed Tombstone stepping out of the Hummer to confront Patrick my plans were for a brief altercation, perhaps a punch in the head followed by Tombstone allowing Patrick to have some supplies and go on about his business...without the motorcycle of course.
Weird how things played out...
Heh, without that event, this whole RP would be massively different, and, frankly, much better.
In fact, I'm going to throw something out to you guys. I realize that some of you don't like my character, at all. Either him in general, because he is based off an already existing character, or he's just kind of "overpowered" or "stupid"
So, I'm open to scrapping him, and taking over this "Snow" character that I've been going on about.
He would basically be like Bill Clinton if he survived, minus the whole sex scandal.
Totally up to you guys, just trying to get us all get along.

That's entirely up to you Karon, but personally I like the idea,it would give you much more room to spread your RP wings, but again the decision is yours.
Now,that doesn't mean I want you to just toss Patrick (even though I admittedly dislike the template he's based around),Patrick and Tombstone still have some unfinished business that I'd sort of like to see play out.
Uhm, if Dark O.K's it, I will, as I think my character is rather limited from what I've based him off of in terms of, well, roleplaying any character besides an emotionless terminator.
Karon wrote:Uhm, if Dark O.K's it, I will, as I think my character is rather limited from what I've based him off of in terms of, well, roleplaying any character besides an emotionless terminator.
I definitely wouldn't just toss Patrick.
I can't see why Darko would have a problem with you moving on to using Snow as your primary character and relegating Patrick to a secondary status (at least until Tombstone kills him).
Looking forward to seeing what you do with Snow.
No problems from me. Everyone knows it's acceptable to have multiple "main" characters, although usually primary and secondary characters don't switch places.
Again, apologies for not doing any event as I've been saying. This illness has just dragged on and on, but things seem to be improving for me.
I'll get to RPing some time in the next few days. This whole Snow meetup is going to be long, so I have to make sure I know where I want it to end to before I start.
There, I said it. Therefore, I am having the thread "paused" if you will.
We leave it. We come back in a few weeks when we're all not busy. We roleplay.
If you have problems with this, then PM me them. Don't post in this thread anymore please, or I may have to go through the hassle of getting it locked [temporarily].
No point in sticking around here with the hopes that in X amount of weeks you might get around to finishing the event. I vote we officially close this Thread and start a new one with a new GM.
Also, I would really like to know what is eating up multiple weeks of your time. I am currently working two jobs and going to community college at night for Surgical Technology and still manage to find time to post on here.
I still posted, even with the pressures of college, and the amount of work you get from it, exams, a band, a far to needy for her own good girlfriend, trouble at home, AND having to walk a dog three times a day.
Very well, ignore what I say. I will have the thread locked because apparently none of you could just PM me instead as I asked.
First off, my life and any complications and obligations I have are not relevant, necessary or any of your business. I've been busy, that's all you need to know.
jp, I resent your idea as I still have things I wish to add to this story.
FYI, half-term is coming up at the end of next week, so I will do the event then. So stop complaining, go outside and find something else to do with your time.
I for one did PM you...and the current show of animosity and disappointment is basically what I predicted.
Basically...all I can really say to my fellow Player Characters is though your disappointment is understandable...each of us are individuals who handle the task that rise in "Life" differently...each man plows his fields according to his own method and I would urge you all not to be hyper critical of Dark..
That being said...Darko,you have to understand the frustration we as a player base feel,we invested a great deal of time into the RP (as you have as well) so adopting a "Go find something else to do until I get around to doing the event" posistion is dismissive of the group as a whole ,it's not that we don't have other things to do...most of us have LOTS more to do..it's that we hope to see our efforts pay off.
Anyway...I feel the best course of action would be to lock the thread, give everyone a break...the "event mechanics" are in place so the thread can be restarted once all ducks are in a row.
Each of us has put a great deal of our time into this RP...I would be a shame not to see it to it's conclusion at some point and time.
It will be concluded, FITZZ. Just not right now. I have recently (comparatively in terms of roleplay life) put in quite a few events. So it is getting really annoying with people bugging me. The last 25 odd pages shouldn't even exist, for the most part.
I understand why you might not like my attitude, FITZZ, but it's the only attitude left to take. I've tried telling people to wait, I've tried explaining, and now I'm just outright annoyed; perhaps more so than many of the players.
As you've said on many an occasion, FITZZ, we've all put a lot of time and effort into this roleplay. That includes me, so hopefully you'll all realize that means I wouldn't postpone the event unless I had good reasons.
C'mon, dudes, as I've said, no more posting here. If you got problems, take it up with me in PM. I have contacted Frazzled to lock the thread.

We agree that those pages should not exist, however they do because you "pause" the thread and then take weeks to post anything. To say it politely, that method is pretty annoying.

You tell people to wait, then don't post an event.. then say you will, then don't post... then wait some more, then say you don't have time while posting across the forum.(http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/270/338145.page#2413639) Did you really not expect people to notice and get annoyed by this?
If you don't have "time", thats fine. In the future don't beat around the bush and just come out and say it. Nobody is saying RP > Life, but if you yourself set a deadline, then be prepared to stick to it or don't do it at all.
I'm not bothered if you noticed that post. There is a big difference between talking about a PC game and typing-up a high-standard piece of literature.
Yes, I have been playing games, going out with mates and whatnot. But that's called "the rest of my life" and if people don't get some chill time, then it ain't gonna do them any good.
As for telling you guys I'm gonna post and then not - new things come up very often, and the only reason I had to keep on posting those things was because you all kept on bugging me so much.
I'm being serious now. Stop ignoring my requests, and stop posting in this thread. You clearly have issues with the way I'm conducting myself in this roleplay - fine, whatever, but take it up with me in PM and leave it out of this thread. It's just more off-topic clutter.
Darkvoidof40k wrote:I'm not bothered if you noticed that post. There is a big difference between talking about a PC game and typing-up a high-standard piece of literature.
Eh, Sure the "events" were long and work did go into them, but Shakespeare they were not.
Darkvoidof40k wrote:Yes, I have been playing games, going out with mates and whatnot. But that's called "the rest of my life" and if people don't get some chill time, then it ain't gonna do them any good.
Now imagine if you went to go hang out with your friends and none of them showed up at the pre-arranged time, or kept calling your outings off cause "new things came up". That would annoy you, no?
You have to understand, that for most people in this thread, this RP is one of our escapes when we log onto dakkadakka. To Rp the Zombie Apocalypse and escape life for a little while and take part in something outside the norm and work our creative brains.
Darkvoidof40k wrote:As for telling you guys I'm gonna post and then not - new things come up very often, and the only reason I had to keep on posting those things was because you all kept on bugging me so much.
And we only kept bugging you cause you constantly missed deadlines that you set.... do you see the endless loop yet?
If you take anything away from this, let it be this: Don't accept positions that you are either unable or unwilling to see through to the end. Ever consider instead of holding up or stalling the entire RP to the point of death, that you could have just stepped down and let another person who has the time take over?
Whatever though, it is clear this is going to go nowhere so I am walking away.
I still vote that when this one is locked, we insert a new GM and continue on. When your life Dark slows down enough for you to give a damn (sorry, but this is how you are coming across as) then you will be more then welcome to insert into the RP.
I have plans for this roleplay, but I am just so annoyed that you can't all just accept that I'm busy and leave it at that. I'm also pretty annoyed that you keep missing the 'STOP POSTING HERE AND PM ME INSTEAD' requests.
I am more than willing and able to see this to the end; perhaps not when everyone else would prefer, but that's just tough. It happens (and it will happen) when it happens.
I don't like arguing with you guys, and I really am quite sick of it. It's reached the point where it is just tedious.
So for my sake, just leave the roleplay alone until I update it.
Edit: @ghosty - you want to discuss making a new thread, which would, as I'm sure you've realized, annoy me in the extreme, then take it with PM. What is it with you lot and ignoring the "DO NOT POST" requests? Hell, they may as well be commandments from God himself for all the difference it's making.
Catos wrote:jp400 you seriously need to get a life nuff said. since I left this rp my social life has skyrocketed. How bout you do the same.
Not so much left, as abandoned.
This thread is on "pause", and at my repeated requests no one is to post. Now jp has served in the military, so I'm not too sure how you can tell him to get a life. It's nice that your social life as improved, but use your initiative and realize that nobody here cares, and also use your reading skills so that you are aware that this thread shouldn't be posted on.
I was kind of hoping that you'd all be smart enough to figure that one out. If not, then I'll just put it straight: I'm gonna get the event done, with any luck, in the next few days. Whether or not anyone wishes to continue playing is irrelevant to me right now. I'd just rather not have it hanging over my shoulder if we ever returned to this thread.
FM Ninja 048 wrote:but would it not of been better just to bump the thread up with the event, rather than bumping it (getting hopes up) just to say wait a bit
glad you're almost done though
I haven't started. That's why y'all need to wait longer.
The largest zombie they had ever seen approached the survivors. A massive technological thread moaned as it approached them, it sought out other bits of technology to fulfill its need to feed.
"One more, one more..." it repeated over and over again as it approached the lumber camp. The survivors looked at each other and set aside their differences in order to destroy the gargantuan nemisis before it could do further harm to the already destroyed world. Automatic weapon fire sparked off of the creature's thick hide and it laughed at their futile attempts. Even the abrams proved to be useless against the vile beast.
There was only one man who destroy this monster, one man who had remained in the shadows for far too long, one man who had previous experience as a destroyer. That man was Hardy, he had been overshadowed by Jennifer for far too long and had decided that enough was enough.
Hardy ripped off his shirt and pumped his fists into the air, a dance that seemed to intrigue the giant. The giant mechanical menace leaned over to examine the dancing man closer. As it hunched over, Shadow came from behind and tackled the giant monster. Shadow clung to the monster's back as it swung around wildly in an attempt to get the new annoyance off of itself.
"Not today you Iranian diplomat!" Shadow shouted as he banged his fists into the creature. A flood of information came spewing out of the creature and everyone noticed that about 1% of it was pornographic.
"Hey doesn't that look like your mom?" Mace asked Tombstone.
"Hey doesn't your face look like my fist?" Tombstone said as he punched Mace squarely in the jaw from the tank.
Just then the laws of physics changed so that everyone was made out of machinery except for the giant mechanical monster which was now made out of pure unadulterated, hardcore, tempting, voluptuous, stunning maple wood.
Shadow jumped off of the creature and began to do a swandive while yelling "Flapjack powers, ACTIVATE!" which caused him to turn into the manliest lumberjack to ever exist in the history of mankind and grapekind.
"I'm a lumberjack and I'm okay!" ShadowJack said as he began to chop at the now maple wood mechanical monsters' ankles with his chest hairs. The black curly hairs sliced through the monster and caused it to combust into a giant wood carving of a palm. A palm that Shadow kicked into the air with his teeth. Everybody stood and watched as the palm exited the atmosphere and saw a glint come from space.
In heaven, Jesus had just high fived the giant wooden hand with such a force that it produced enough light to travel over a million lightyears in only a few seconds. Shadow and anybody who had witnessed the event put on a pair of sunglasses and began to dance. It was the second most amazing thing to happen in the universe. The first being the birth of Shadow, but that is another tale all together.
Hardy was wearing sunglasses but wasn't dancing. Shadow had stolen his moment and he began to sulk in a corner. Fortunately Shadow is a big enough cupabara to recognize those who assist him and he walked over to the crying Hardy. Shadow patted him on the back and Hardy instantly cheered up and began to do the 'Sprinkler'.
Everything was right with the world.
Everything except for one simple inconvenient truth that nagged a certain person in the world. Al Gore grabbed his M-16 and painted black underneath his eyes to prevent the sun from interfering with his sight. His rippled abs danced as he tied a red bandana around his forehead and cuffed his pants.
"Are you ready world?" Al Gore asked no one in particular, "Things just got serial."
