I think this has been done before, but let's do it again. If you could meet one fellow Dakkite you don't know IRL down at the local coffee shop for a drink and a chat , who would it be and why?
Personally, I would quite like to meet Miss Lunahound-as well as being a big fan of her Orks, I feel we could relate to each other quite nicely family-wise.

Id like to meet in the pub, i think coffee shops are a bit poncy for my liking.
Id like to meet Albatross, i think i would get on well with him.
In fact, Id like to meet most people on here, as i am sceptical of the fact that almost all of the members of dakka who i havent met IRL are apparently wealthy, womanising, IQ of 160, 35 chin up, witty, legend of comedy, Kung-fu Master, award winning author, Olympic level gymnast, 5 language speaking James Bond types.
I never met anyone who could tick more than one of those boxes IRL. On dakka though it seems like 80% of people are just.. the pinnacle of civilisation.

Never been there matey, it's wayyyy North for me (I dwell with the dead things in Bedminster...) but I have mates in Montpelier so I do drink in The Cadbury on occasion, it's full of filthy hippy trustafarians but they sell that goldschlager stuff and usually a decent ale (think I was drinking Gem last time I was there) and if you go there in the summer, you can get high for free from the fumes of the funny cigarettes being smoked in the garden out back...
In town I like the Crown, the Hatchet, the King William, the Old Duke and the Navy Vounteer.
16759
Post by: Natorum
If you like your beer then IotG is the place to go, was there just before Christmas and they've got at least a half dozen real ales, most of which I've never seen before and a few proper ciders.
Haven't been to the Crown since it was a bikers pub, was in the Hatters a while back and King's Street was always my favourite place years ago for an outdoor pint and a bit of Jazz. Had my first pint of Bass in the Volly and haven't looked back since.

Ive met some people ive been on polar opposites with in the many taverns of the world. politcally, religiously and everything else, and we have very very rarely had to "step outside" Sometimes you shout, but it almost always ends with a handshake (maybe cos im rock as feth?)
On a serious not I think people are generally far more boorish than they need to be via the internet. And also simple law of averages means that not everyone on here is hard as nails. Although everyone seems to think that they are..

Graaaa!!!! I'm sooo METAL!
Seriously, I'd like to meet Emprah's Faithful (because he's cool), Jeb stewart, frazzled, general grog (because we seem to agree on alot of things) and ketara (because we don't agree on many things but he can make very valid interesting points). And anyone who wants to be my burning buddy.

Actually I'd go for a beer with pretty much everyone, even the ones who hate my guts! - I think it would be a right laugh to go for a beer with Fateweaver and Shuma, for example.
I'll try out a British pub. I don't mind being on camera .

We serve beer by the pint here. That's why we NEED cameras !
Any pub worth it's salt does that though. If it doesn't have pints or at least domestic jugs (hehe - jugs /endguttertalk) then it's no pub at all

When first saw his photo I thought he'd just slapped up a picture of Sean Connery.
