Not too impressed, it does look better, but that's a very basic job. It looks like they bought a template and just plugged their stuff in, which is a shame because they have so many great art assets and personality that could have went into the job. Also, it seems like a lot of their additional pics are missing and there is less to see per model now too.
Maybe next time, but for now, at least they brought the site out of the 90's lol!

I'm getting the new one. Maybe a very odd caching issue?
It definitely looks like it was done by the same designer that did the current GW web site. Similar dropdown menus, no real line between 'store' and 'web site.'
Not offensive to the eyes, but nothing to make me jump up and down, either.

Yes, some people seem to be having cache issues or summat...

Not too keen on the turquoise background, but an improvement still over what we had.

That certainly looks a lot better, but I'm surely not seeing it here on my screen. I wonder what the issue is? It's not coming up in IE8 or Chrome.
What browser are you using Breotan?
People who are able to view the new site... What browser are you using?

Much better to navigate now. You don't need 3 -4 pages to get to the products. And you don't have to scroll endlessly to find a specific Eldar product. From the structure I guess that the extra photos missing will be added later (arrows in the photo section defunct ATM). Some missing items back online (e.g. Fantasy Inn).
Give FW another 5 years and they will master the technology of colour photography for all of their products

I don't think it was the same guy, the menus are really straight up html/java, standard stuff. I had a look at the code and I am almost 100% sure the navigation functionality is template based.
They couldnt update the logo either??? Most of the smaller DIY resin casters out there look better than this... maybe i'll send them an e-mail lol....

It is a nice store, though good thing I do not have a credit card. Click, click, click, click.
I had to reload a number of times, I was going to do a ctrl-reload but it finally worked. It could be _their_ website, they could have the old site there for old browsers. Something like if it does load the new style sheet then it loads the old site instead. But it will load eventually.

I am still seeing the old site as well, and I am certainly not going to change anything on my computer.
No other sites have ever given me these issues before, and apparently I am not the only one, so this really is Forge World's problem. They better fix this or they will probably lose out on a lot of traffic on their site (and sales).

Refreshing the page isn't helping anyone. It's not likely a cache issue. I'm guessing they moved servers as well and it's taking some time for DNS replication.

It has nothing to do with Forge World or their website. If you don't want to use a proxy to view the page then you'll have to wait until the replication finishes. It may take a few hours.

Please don't whine and troll the board just because
1.) one person doesn't know their proxy server takes one hour to update
2.) one person comments on one product that perhaps isn't uploaded yet and they just want to hear if they're the only that can't find it
3.) one person comments on one photo that perhaps isn't uploaded yet and they just want to express how great a concept they feel it is with multiple pictures of a model
4.) one person doesn't like the colour or website menue has changed and expresses their dislike
Just take your pills and come back tomorrow.

Word from the usually 101% reliable Mr. Spacker from Age of Strife/Warseer is that the download section will return "soon". Seeing as this isnsupposed to be where we can get updated DKoK lists and similar I'd imagine this to be the case.

I agree, many of the lone pictures uploaded so far , are like artsy shots , it doesnt even show the whole front detail
(for example the dreadnoughts )

Y'know...I have to say, I agree with you Plat.
I like GW/ FW's minimalist style for their sites. I sometimes have problems finding things on the Infinity site(and that's not counting the broken image links or circular links you sometimes stumble across on the English site), the West Wind Miniatures site is a tad bit of a mess, and don't even get me started on Privateer's...
Plus:
If you're going to do 360 views, I don't want to see a flash animated 360 view of a fully painted model. I want to see the bare plastic/metal so I can start figuring out how I'm going to do it differently.
