Let's see what we have here then...

かわい! 超かわい!

Aniron, Grand Imperial Wizard of his Klan!

Is her armor made of leaves?

Melanin-enhanced elf warrior

Whoa! Some kind of elf-spider centaur thing! Where do they get their ideas?

The scribbler?

A tad overdressed but certainly usable.

A woman? Fully dressed and in pragmatic armor? Can such a thing be?

How would you tame him?

Ak-Ak-Ak-Ak-Ak-Ak!

If I remember my Monster Manual correctly this is an owlbear.

I think at this point we can safely call Chronoscope a line of miniatures for every fetish.

Every fetish indeed.

Including some rather odd ones... But who among us has not fantasized about a gener-swapped Ash from Army of Darkness?

Very odd ones indeed...

If only they made this one with a school girl...

Don't judge!

Oh come on now...

Looking further ahead at the greens...
http://www.reapermini.com/Greens

I'm not sure what exactly he is, the hammer suggests home repairs, maybe he's hanging his cross on the wall? Seems it would have limited use.

Must... resist... steampunk...

Hey Harry right? I think we met in Dresden.

メチャかわい!

Female superhero. Right. You just straight up sculpted a neekid lady and called it a superhero. Well played Reaper, well played.

Ah Reaper...

Anyway lots more on their site, Reaper remains my favorite company around just for the sheer maddness of what they produce. If next month they have an army of steampunk hamster furry fetish women I won't even register mild surprise.

As usual with the reaper new stuff you bring us Kid, some lovely stuff and some stinkers. The scribbler is awful but the chronoscope stuff is really nice.

Or they added it in case Jews would become offended again?

Though in "reality" (poor word choice, I know) any symbol that people put faith into could repel the undead, be it a cross, star, swastika or the trice blessed Aquila.

Oh GOD I hate that show. Seriously how does it keep getting airtime? I watched one where they were looking for Sasquatch(sp?) and crawled into a space so TIGHT they had to holld their breath and take off coats and stuff to squeeze in. Really? I always thought the Sasquatch was yanno, 7-8 feet tall and huge. But whatever.

I like to randomly look at the reaper line just because sometimes they inspire me with ideas, and other times I just laugh. My wife loves those mice things uptop BTW

It keeps getting airtime because of the fact that he's actually gotten some of the best evidence out there of some of these creatures.

A DNA sample from a completely unknown creature following an expedition looking for Mkoele-Membe in the Congo, two beautiful casts of what could potentially have been Yeti footprints in the Himalayas(which actually made international headlines when the Nepalese were told about it when they had to declare it to customs before leaving), and some other stuff.

It doesn't hurt, however, that Josh Gates is a really interesting/amusing host

The Spider-Centaurs are Driders.

They're from the Drizz't Do'urden books.

Cursed children of the Lolth, the God of Spiders and death. They're basically half-human, half huge spider.

And they are half Dark Elf, half spider.
And Lolth is a Goddess, but not of Spiders and Death, but basically of the Dark Elves (with Spiders holy to her worshippers).
And Drizzt first appeared 8 years later (1988) in the Icewind Dale Triology http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drizzt_Do%27Urden .

So, somewhat related... I just had a look at Reapers CAV line (for some reason I don't think I'd ever seen them before). They're all listed as "true scale". Does anyone know how big they actually are? I'm looking specfically at the spaceships.

I have a few teams of the Super heros. They work great with the Pulp City stuff, and have a great selection of quality work at great prices.

Great looking minis, I really dig that Rogue Trader guy.

Foxy Brown looks really cool too. Might have to check her out with Superfly, too.

How do you dare Kid? Everybody knows that Reaper is totally ripping GWs IP (the mice are a carbon copy of GWs Skaven) and that if you mix GWs IP with 3rd party miniatures your SSmurfs will self destruct after calling the LiB (Layers in Black)

With a weapon swap for his right hand (maybe to a plasma pistola or a combi-gun of some type), I can really see him as a young Inquisitor (e.g. Ravenor...before he got crispy-crittered, of course.)

See the little white points on the right of the picture? Reaper uses those to show the height of their miniatures - the bottom point is .5 inch high and the top one is 1 inch high.

Reaper's minis are actually a little bigger than the typical GW ones.

No, Reaper is exactly the same scale and not 1.5 inches as Gitkikka suggests.

Only possibility is that they use full centimeters and measure from the top of the base.

Please read the Wiki-article I posted before. Driders are well known creatures of Faerûn as well, as featured in the above mentioned Drizzt novels. They are an essential element of the Underdark realm of the Dark Elves. Can't find striders ATM (typo of Drider?), sound like giant spiders to me.

I'm a big fan of reaper for my D&D campaigns. I drop some $$$ at their GenCon booth each year and once was at a HackMaster tournament at their Denton, TX HQ. Good folks. They gave us a tour of how they make the metal minis, and we got to see some of their "in the works" molds and pieces. I keep meaning to go to ReaperCon each year, but I keep haveing conflicts (Cousin's wedding this year).

Also, some of the Chronoscope minis make excellent BattleTech pilots and crewmen.

According to your theory and the thread you quoted, this miniature should be 1.5" to the top of its head (without the bun) or 3.8 cm.

I own this miniature and it actually is 3cm high or 1 3/16 " , as would be expected if the measure indicates cm not half inches.
Seems like some Reaper officials are misinformed or took a European measure

BTW this is my Tau liaison officer for my Kroot Carnivores (Avatar Neytiri anyone? )

Definitely love the Mouseling Heros. I mean, not only are the adorablawesome on their own, they would be great MouseGuard minis, or even Redwall!

Start writing reaper about Sci-Fi Mouslings in Gothic Power Armor.

I wonder if they could get away with calling it Warhamster 40k?

I have a mess of Reaper figs, and they are all right around GW/PP sizes. No more variation than between SoB and IG really.

White metal. Their P-65 line is made of an old school alloy with lead in it.

You, Sir, despite being a fellow Ork player, have just declared yourself my Interweb Nemesis! Josh Gates is a veritable Indiana Jones! All that show needs now are some Nazis and we're set!

Well, he did get in a fight with some Russians recently it seems...

Does that count?

The 3 of us are having our own conversation/war among the rest here

And theres no way in hell you can compare that guy to Indiana Jones.....well maybe the 70 something y/o Harrison Ford version, then yea I see a resemblance

Man I love adding nothing to a thread

You're right. He follows the laws, can't be anything like Indy

But no, the story is apparently they were in Russia investigating claims of a Russian Sasquatch, a border guard tried to say their papers were out of order and demanded $6500 as a "fine".

When they refused, the guy attacked them and got his nose broken for his trouble. Which amuses me endlessly.

Reaper minis are kinda meh most of the time. Especially their female ones, which are quite frankly stupid looking half the time, and obviously created on the idea of "sex sells" rather than in order to give any respect to the miniature.

I'd cast blame at the customers not the producers. Reaper has a goodly number of fully-clothed, practically dressed women and I'm sure they keep track of sales of them vs bimbos in chainmail bikinis.

'Sex sells' alas is not a myth.
