Those of you volunteering for SOB duty are imagining hot young vixens. Problem is there are probably many more very masculine ones. These are warriors, not models. Probably a Marine scout. Only military organization that puts you in a recon unit BEFORE you go to a line company. Probably the best quest line if they ever decide to do a 40k RPG. Start as scout, perform well, promoted to Space Marine, given power armor, etc. Promoted to veteran, receive Terminator honors. Tragically killed in a glorious last stand. They throw your butt in a dreadnought after the final cutscene, and you wander the 40k universe with significantly elevated stats. You win. You died, but you win.

If I could, I would be Fabricator General. But technically, I would be a "heretical" one, as I would be all for scientific advancement of any kind, not just cult approved experiments. Unchecked scientific progress is what made the Imperium what it is (or at least was), and that kind of re-awakening of science is just the shot in the arm the servants of the Emperor need.

In the 40k universe, Daemons run rampant for a long time before they are purged...

If my one-eyed monster has the run of the convent for a few years, totally worth it!

I would probably be a guardsman that gets drafted and then freaks out when I see some of the horrible things that I'm expected to fight with a lasgun and then either gets shot or put in a penal legion for running away where the process repeats and then my collar gets 'sploded by a custodian to keep the other penal troopers in line.

I have to say, i would want to be a leman russ tank commander, attached to an Apoc force. Mostly because if there is a massive baneblade towering next to me, the enemy is more likely to shoot at that, whilst my battlecannon can still do plenty of damage

If I can choose to be something I created for that universe myself, I'd choose to be Skynurat, the Chaos God of Eternity, AKA the Warp itself. Yeah. I don't think I can, though.

So I have a backup choice. The Void Dragon, speculated to reside within Mars, sleeping and also to be the very Machine God. So, like.... Humans aren't allowed to kill me and I'm too close to Terra to be touched by any other galactic force.

Read Eisenhorne if your not sure why I would want to be one. For that matter read any Inquisitor fluff.

Everyone has to listen to you, you get to decide who lives and who dies, you get a group of really grizzled veterans and other assorted awesome people that follow you around and do what you say, you get to fight the most hideous and terrible enemy in the galaxy, you get access to the best equipment and Grey Knights, or Hot Chicks in armor (I think their hot but I could be wrong).

Anyway you get the picture.
