Maybe it's been completely disavowed bu I thought some GW higher up brought that up a Gamesday or two ago
That was mentioned as being a pet project of Andy Chambers, who now works for Blizzard and it was supposed to be released right after 4th edition.

I think that was the case yes, that and some ancient battles game. I'd check his site but the git hasn't updated it for two or so years now.

Well those rumors on Bell rule out some of the ideas we've had here:
-It is a completely stand alone set that is not related to any race.
-It is something that GW has never done before.
-It is a board game.
space hulk doesn't fit in here at all, it has been done before and it is definitly related to an know race.
But why should GW do something with a new race wich would be interesting for us when they have dozends of already existing ones.
could be though that the new space hulk isn't about marines and nids at all and that a "full plastics" board game regards as something they've never done before.
damn it, let it be august now! :-)

I would actually like to see a new race. Maybe it's going to be like some kinda D&D style game?

Most of the odds based on what information is available seem to be on the idea that this "surprise" product is the reissue of Space Hulk. However, the real surprise to me is that there isn't more definite information about this just a month from the big unveiling. Now THAT is a surprise given the way that information about GW's upcoming products tends to leak out weeks, months and even years ahead of time.

Its got to be 40K themed Mountain Dew, and you collect "40k Dew Points" to spend on an online board game to see where the fluff goes in 6th Edition.
The flavors will be Ultramarine Blueberry, Ork Nob PowerLime, Space Wolf Runic Mist (to coincide with the new codex), and then they will release a new version of Ultramarine Blueberry with a little something to make it better than the others.

Spoiler alert!
One thing we know - it'll be expensive like the Spear of Sicarius box set. If it's nothing they've done before, it'll be a cheap new army!
On second thought... no.

Anyone who thinks this is NOT Space HUlk needs to stop thinking so hard.
-It is a completely stand alone set that is not related to any race.
It's not related to any (one) race, It's Terminators vs. Genestealers
-It is something that GW has never done before.
I'll tell you what GW has never done before; Pre-painted miniatures.
-It is a board game.
It's Space Hulk

Dosadi, just a little while ago I thought GW had everyone eating out of their hand based on how well they've built the hype. But now I'm starting to think people will be disappointed when it's revealed to be Space Hulk. The thing ceased to be the "Mystery Box" and became the "Wishlist Box."

If it's Space Hulk, surley the only *new* thing will be the Board itself, as Termies and Nids are all plastic now.

And as I've said in every single Space Hulk thread this year, it's something that the studio has considered when they talked about possibly doing a new Space Hulk. And then every jumps down my throat about how GW games are a "Hobby"(as if that's something that prepainted suddenly stops being somehow) and would never do that ever possibly.

Offensive .. oh that makes me laugh, as apposed to collecting models of Slaanesh that are based on sexual deviancy etc... or killing, murder death and mayehm.
Words in a song ( http://boltthrower.com/lyrics/realmofchaos.php ) are offensive.. Aware of the outside world?

Yeah, sometimes the world says one thing and does another. I watched a movie which had a warning at the beginning that someone was smoking in the movie, and then there was a 5 minute long graphic sex scene. So we must warn our kids about a cigarette which appears for a fraction of a second, but no warning that some may be even a LITTLE disturbed ?

To speculate, I can't really think of any Marine units left to make, aside from Legion of the Damned. Even then, they've been made before. I heard someone say the new thing was going to be a Bugman's game based around Bugman's Bar at Warhammer World. If that's the big secret release I'll be disappointed.
