I ran ork mobs and lootas.

Had a blast at the Fantasy mini-tournament, and it was great to meet everyone! I'm glad that it turned out so well, and I really hope that we can do another one sometime soon!

I was the Tyranid player. Scrawny fellow with glasses and green sweater.

It was good to meet Grey_Death and see his models up close. The pictures online definitely don't give them all the justice they are do.

Yes Sir. I have 2 dozen done hope to have 45 total when I am done. I figure you can never have too many lootas.

Me and the Missus had an excellent time! Was great to put so many names to faces and talk around the tables and have a beer or 4 with several of you.

I was the bald guy with the beard in the BFG black hoodie. I was playing chaos marauders with a sorc, 3 trolls and a chaos spawn in the 500pt fantasy tourney in the morning and playing Orks including a Battlewagon doubling as a looted wagon, 3 killa kanz, a trukk of boyz and a 5ork team of lootaz in the pm 40k games.

I can now happily report Mrs Stompa has purchased herself a trygon and a tyranid battleforce, having been impressed with watching the games.

Big thank you from us both to Mikhaila for being an excellent host and to RiTides and Grey_Death for running the mini-tournies.

If you failed to come to Dakkacon this weekend, you missed out on a helluva good time.

Mad props to Mike for hosting and grey_death, RiTides and others for setting up and running the events! (Even if RiTides is a dirty cheater - using 'good units' and using 'tactical advantage' and 'strategies' to win ).

Definitely need to set up a similar weekend in the future.

Yeah, I'll bring us a couple of cases of Guinness, Jin!

It was an Awesome time! Somebody needs to put up a thread for people to post up all the pics, but I haven't thought of the correct forum (DCM won't work since a lot of people there weren't DCMs). Maybe Dakka Discussions?

I also ended up parting with a fair bit of cash due to Mike's 20% off for DCMs... and loved every minute of it

Were you one of the crew from the Allentown area with the good sense of humor? Seems like a good mix of gamers and armies!!!

I had great time (though I wasn't able to participate in the Fantasy and 40k games).

I was playing 2000pt games with an old friend:
my Crimson Fists vs Nids
then my Orks vs Nids

Anyway, the Brettonian Knights looked sweet - looking forward to seeing the pics on here.

Once the spring thaw arrives, I would consider heading up north for some gaming or any events. Mike at Showcase runs a good 40K tourney. Maybe I will see some of you at the "St. Valentine's Day Massacre."

Awesome time guys, all the way. I gushed a bit over in the discussion thread, but to reiterate I really had probably the best gaming experience I have had ever, and considering I couldn't win a game to save my ass, it was largely because you were all a great lot and really a lot of fun to not only lose against (repeatedly) but just hang out and talk to in general. A weekend well spent!

Ahh hell, xdefton3sx, I didn't realize you were there (Jordan and Scott didn't introduce me properly, the buggers!) I was getting kicked around in the Fantasy campaign, and wouldn't have minded meeting the Dakkite who is literally up the street from me in person!

I was the Filipino guy w/Bears Hat that played 2000pt Marines / Orks against my friend's Nids.

And funny story about my Knight.. I misplaced the one that was sent to me so I bought a box of Knights to still participate at DakkaCon. So, after putting it together and staying up all night and throwing a quick paint job on it - I realized that I left it at home after I was more than halfway to the Showcase Bunker.

But the Knights there were incredible.. again, it was an great event!

I did buying some stuff to utilize the 20% discount - but I could have easily gone overboard.. I've never been to any store that has been as well stocked as Showcase was!

Hah, most of those Bretonnian Knights were beautiful...

My poor knight was painted in under 2hrs with mostly foundation paints and lathered in delvan mud, and he lost his shield in the mail so he was strutting about with a chaos shield with a warrior's helm unceremoniously nailed to it!

Luckily Mrs Stompa was there to give it 1 vote, or as I liked to call it, a pityfeth...

Next time Gadget, next time...

Re: Bret Knight - contact Mike about it. I know a couple of people who couldn't make it (Empchild included) who were planning on just mailing their knights to the winner of the Painting Competition.

It was rather engrossing

Probably my best gaming experience to date, too, Wehrkind!! We're going to have to do this again later in the year, methinks...

About the 20% off for DCMs- I went in thinking I'd buy a hellcannon, in addition to some PP stuff I'd had Mike ordered for me... left with a second hellcannon and a box of ironguts, to boot . Who stocks multiple direct-only hellcannons???

I also left the fantasy campaign map up there, and Mike may end up putting a metal sheet behind it so magnetic pieces can be used on it. That would take it to the next level!! And enable it to be used on a wall, rather than on a table.

A great time indeed. The after-con food and drinks were particularly enjoyable. Much thanks to everyone I hope to do it again.
