But hey the ductape did the job...just looked well dodgy! I'm not sure about the protocol of posting pics and background in here? Can we or are you going put them all up at the end?

Well in that case... I was going to pant up a Tear Bringer for the Conclave but due to time and eye problems I couldn't. So I decided to send in a model I painted about 7 to 10 years ago becasue it is for a good cause. So with out further ado....oh and forgive my attempts at literature....



The Denouncers

The Denouncers Chapter were created as part of the 26th founding, supposedly from Dark Angels geneseed. If this is true and uncommonly, for a Chapter with ties to The Dark Angels, they have no contact with their founding Chapter. In official records the Chapter wear grey power armour with bone pauldrons and follow the dictates of the Codex Astartes reverently. Approximately three hundred years ago the Chapter adopted a colour scheme of mourning, painting the right half of their armour black. Publicly this was done when the Chapter lost a full third of their battle companies in a warp travel accident. It has been noted by some observers a limited number of the Chapter have started to remove the black paint from their armour, as some sort of honour marking.

In the last three hundred years the Denouncers have begun acting more like their Unforgiven brothers, following their own agenda. This is because the official events that damaged the Denouncers forces never occurred. The chapter lost a third of its battle companies when they went renegade and joined the Red Corsairs. The black paint is not a sign of mourning but a display of shame. The few brothers who wear pure grey armour are those who have slain one of their disloyal brothers and thus no longer have to show off their indignity. For the Denouncers do not want their fallen brothers to repent but to die.

While the Denouncers have their secret shame they still fight the enemies of mankind. Generally while they will pick and choose engagements once they have chosen a course of action they will see it through to the end. This has caused, on a number of occasions, them to let traitorous brothers escape their clutches, for they can be hunted down and destroyed another day.

I'll post the Blood Angel and Fire Lord to you post haste, but I'm really, really not pleased with the member of the Black Pack I've been painting*, and I don't think I'll have time to finish painting a replacement before the end of April deadline

* I'm not pleased with the Blood Angel or the Fire Lord either, but they were rescued from previously (poorly) painted marines, whereas the member of the Black Pack was painted from scratch

Ok I have not received any new marines or have heard anything back from some people

So I will post the group shot tonight when I get back from work and we can call this project completed

Unfortunately only half of the expected 50 contributions have arrived but at least we did the best we could

A shame that a lot of people couldn't get their marines to you in time. I'm looking forward to the group shot though.

Definitely... and i just happen to be painting PH Thousand Sons...

You know what would be even cooler...? Since there are even less chapters to go around... make every single submission a Primarch... Obviously not to Monsterous Creature "real" scale... but highly detailed... fun and highly free conversions... although... On second though... Magnus' sons are really cool... Magnus? Not so much so. The whole KISS/punk rock-look doesn't do it for me.

That's a really cool thought, but you've got to think about the people sumbmitting. Everbody can put a helmet crest on a Space Marine and call it pre-heresy, but not everyone is an accomplished modeller (in the sense that they will be able to create a Primarch). Would you be able to? My modelling skills don't stretch that far. It might work, but I don't know. The best bet would be to just go with normal Space Marines, say, enough for an entire battle company. That would be a big feat! But pre-heresy is an awesome idea.

Ah... that... is true. I for one, would like to try modelling Corax, Konrad Curze, or Robust Lillyman for kicks... but then again, yea... not everyone will have access to FW, etc. or time/GS material/tools to do it.

But yea... I'll be down for PH stuff. Who knows? I might just have to make Primarch anyways, instead of a regular guy.

If this project is repeated, why not just loosen up the rules to allow for the submission of any Loyalist, whether from a pre-Heresy legion or from a post-Heresy chapter? That way there isn't an artificial limit on the number of people who can participate in the project, there's a greater range of canon Loyalists for people to paint, and people can paint Primarches if they so desire

Oh, and dibs on the Emperor's Children if this project is repeated and they haven't already been spoken for

If this project is repeated i could give up a scythe of the emperor model (:

I would love to have gotten in on this. If it's repeated I can throw in a marine from my own chapter or, if need be, I can scratch up a 'canon' chapter marine.

I think generally a pre-heresy conclave would generally be good: as well as pre-traitors, we'd get black DAs etc.

Ok it seems everyone is really keen for another project

So what I will do is the following:

1) Set up a new forum for Pre-Heresy chapters. People will be free to choose their legion they want and as long as we have the whole 18 represented, then it will be allowed that more people can choose the same legion.
so for example we could have 3 Word Bearers, 2 Ultramarines, etc etc

2) I will set up another conclave as well that will be identical to the first as there seems to be a few people who want to submit some more chapter marines

More details in about a day
I will post the links to the new forums here

If there are any objections to any ideas here then please feel free to let me know

So after ebay fees and paypal fees were paid the total came to £65 raised and the charity chosen by the winner was Doctors Without Borders

Ok just an update

The £65 has gone throught to Doctors Without Borders and as I am a UK Taxpayer I can give giftaid which adds £18 to the total
