I just ordered up 3 off the flak cannon platforms to make some psyfleman dreads. Eagrly awaiting those.
I did notice 2 things though while going through the order process.
1. On the billing/shipping info,,, you do not have a blank for the state. I stuck the state abbreviiation after my city. I also have my address in the paypal info I sent you.
2. When it was time to choose the shipping method, it listed the shipping price as $2.14 but when I clicked that and went to the next page it was $5.66. Not really a huge thing and very reasonable considering it is coming from europe but I mam wondering what the difference is.
ok.. lets mak this 3. When I hit the paypal button it took me to a paypal homepage in I want to say was polish... It wasn't hard to fugure out where the log in info went but there was alot of chanting of "please be in english" when I clicked the button to enter my sign info... which it was.
Just a few things to consider for your international customers. From the pics I have seen, you guys do some great work. I will be awaiting my stuff to see it in person.

I like your naughty ladies, very nice sculpt. Weapons might benefit from being a tad towards heroic scaled.
Actually I wonder if you can do head variants, from the 3up do two heads, one daemonette/succubus, one elven/human. I cannot see anythin on the minis other than 'twilek' hairstyles that hints that they are not witch elves. If the wings are seperable and the sculpts offering two head types per pose then this kit would gain a lot of versatility.
Succubi, daemonettes, chaos cultists, witch elves, dark eldar wyches, Cryxian Blood witches the list goes on.

Thanks for the bug report, I'll investigate these and hopefully remove. I think the shipping-cost fallacy is already done (last week I was squashing this exact bug, but there might be some leftover). But the language-paypal and page info stuff need some love, agreed.

Mind reader, like I wrote before we're going to use these female daemons as sort of "base" with a few different head and arm swaps in the future.

It took about 4 weeks from order to delivery on my last order, but they did recently move into a new physical location so I expected delays. Sometimes stuff from Poland seems to arrive quickly to the US, other times, not so much.

As a point of comparison---when I had a question about my order---I received a reply in 4 hours with all of the information I requested. I've had zero issues with communication and ordering. That certainly doesn't invalidate your experience---but I imagine it's a spam/mistake/exception rather than the rule.

One thing I'd really like to see would be the heavy cannon available in a vertically double stacked variety, like you might see on the side of a.... robot. Such a kit would not include the bottom mounting plate or the centered targetting bit. You could get the existing kit and shave down one of them to do it yourself, but it seems like a simple mod to add to the store for more variety in your... robot arms.

Alternate heads are in the making (and so are alternate arms). As for assassins -- see above

Together with the gatling cannon and double laser cannon -- yes, a "side mounting for a robot arm" is in late concept stage

Seems a bit harsh, remember, these are coming from Poland, it's not a quick ship time and usually averages 2-3 weeks for a normal order in my experience. He also responded to you in this thread a few posts above in case you missed it.

BUT -
I can promise you that each has arrived, fully intact with great pieces and casting. It is frustrating to wait sometimes if the project is just missing that, but there are no incidents in this thread of any problems not being resolved.
Don't jump the gun and paint them as a Bad Business just yet, give them a little time and they will make sure to take care of you.

Wow, some strong words here.
After thursday we haven't left any email unanswered, tomorrow I'll go through all the emails from last month (and through the spam folder) to resolve any outstanding issues.
If anyone hasn't received their order yet, please contact me (preferably via email) -- we have a backlog not larger than orders 2 weeks old, so if something hasn't reached you within 3-4 weeks since ordering, it could've been lost and we will re-send it (we need 28 days since shipping to file a complaint and get the money back from post office, though).
(after a quick check: we have some orders with thermic guns, heavy cannon & twin-flamer platforms that wait a bit longer, as these molds broke down and the new ones are curing now, so these will be re-sent in the upcoming week, sometime around thursday probably)

I however do not want this thread turning into a disgruntled handful derailing the entire process for a few bad (but eventually resolved) experiences. If you have questions/grievances, please bring them up with Tomash via PM first, this is not their customer service board.
I do not think Tomash has been shy to say they have grown quickly and are struggling to meet demand, and get things cast and out in a timely fashion. He has also said he is working hard to resolve it. Let's give them a few more months to grow into their new company reality, and show a little patience and support if we do indeed appreciate their product.

When I place an order with Maxmini I receive the items exactly 14 days later. They state on the site that it might take that long.

As of today, I see most of the bitzbox.eu stuff (that is, their proprietary sculpts and casts) as in stock and available.
I believe Bitspudlo is a two-man operation, and they've recently enjoyed a bit of an explosion of interest in their products. So cut them a little slack. If you've got a problem with an order and haven't had a response to a direct email, then I'm sure Tomash wouldn't object to a PM here on Dakka, as he's obviously on the forum fairly regularly.
My own experience with Bitspudlo has been nothing but positive.

Most of the time our post manages to deliver in under two weeks from shipping but time to time ( ~1-2% of orders ) they get slowed down somewhere on the way or are lost. I hope that we can soon have enough orders to send abroad that we will be able to get some good prices from ups or other service.

When you're shipping stuff halfway around the world, some potential delay should be expected.
International shipping times of 4 to 5 weeks are not at all unusual. Annoying, certainly, particularly because it can be extremely inconsistent (I once posted a replacement parcel to a customer in the US after their original had not arrived after 4 weeks. Both parcels arrived on the same day, 5 days later.) but it's just one of those things that you have to accept if you're buying internationally.
Express shipping can sometimes be an option, but for any sort of guaranteed express it can be prohibitively expensive, particularly on smaller orders.
38682
Post by: Tomash
Nah, there's no point in blaming the post office. Our shipping delays stemmed from still-not-as-high-as-we-would-like production speed. But it seems we're almost there and starting next week all orders should be dispatched within a week.

Us Americans are spoiled by our more consistent mail service. I've waited over a month for things I've ordered from the UK. Not every national postal service offers express international mail or dispatches regularly enough and unless Bitspudlo negotiates with FedEx or UPS it tends to cost ~$25 to ship an small to average package by express carriers.

Then again, if people are willing to take my money in a timely manner they also have an obligation to supply me with the goods in a timely manner. It's one reason I do get a fair bit of stuff off eBay - buyer protection. Once we start getting overboard on time, it's time for a PayPal dispute. Things magically tend to appear when you do that and people who don't reply to your emails suddenly start becoming much more communicative.

Yea, if you look each side looks remarkably like a dread's arm, but upside down. The scale here can be deduced by the plate it's mounted on in the photo, which coincidentally! fits into the rhino rear hatch area
I've got the maxmini flak cannons, and they're excellent (and much larger, far too large for a dread).

Yes, it sucks you are not happy. You can always send them back if they are not yet painted or glued and get refund without problems.
I'll add information about the barrels lenght to avoid that kind of mistakes in the future.
And yes, they weren't intended to be used on hydras. I think that price could be a hint that they are small in comparision

For what it's worth, I also think they look like they're missing that final touch. It might just be the photo, but they have a sort of smooth, undetailed look to them that I'm not a fan of-- compared, for instance, to the Diaz Dæmonettes, they look rather unfinished to me. It may just be a different æsthetic that's the aim here, but I for one don't like it so much.

You could also look at it from th eopposite perspective, that the lack of "detail" allows for more customisation on your part to make them as slaaneshi as you like, like cool tattos etc..... besides ggoing too slaaneshi may infringe on IP and bring the wrath of GW upon them.
I personally prefer plainer models so that I can ad my own touches to them. Besides if they are a bit plain, then the converted ones stand out more as unit champs etc
I would get them but I do not run chaos armies, and the wife might have a few things to say about naked lady mini's laying around the house

Anyone know the comparable size of the Kromlech models on the site? I not talking mm size, but if its like terminator size or servitor.

Well if I use the autocannons for psyfledreads.... arent they alittle too small/short too?
Edit: Nvm they are perfect size for dreads. I will just have to open up the hole alittle more and use some green stuff.

Artur is a huge fan of Orks (as you can probably deduce from Kromlech range) and these sets are made to fit Ork-like models.

Since I ordered a couple of sets of the Flak Cannon turrets to convert into Dreadnought arms, I decided to take pics for comparison to the Forgeworld arm for our local forum goers who were looking for the same. The size compares quite well to the "official" model, they're only slightly shorter. Definitely happy with them.

I don't see the 'lack' of detail as a problem. There are plenty of relatively undetailed miniatures out there that still rock. The problem is more that the poses are a little stiff and lifeless. While miniatures are obviously by their nature going to be motionless, there's an art to posing that makes all the difference between 'captured in motion' and 'static'... wnd these ladies unfortunately fall into the latter category.
Detail wise, they're definitely passable for what they are. They just miss the 'wow' factor.
That being said, I'm just going by the pictures, which can sometimes be a little less than flattering of a miniature.

I much prefer those to the FW. The rounded ammo hoppers seem too smooth on the left arm.

Thought I would share pictures of the Bitspudlo jumppacks I bought. This is obviously a WIP marine.
Some of the packs do have some bubbles but I think they will all be usable. I like the style, and even my wife prefers them over the new style jump packs!

Post by: Tomash
Looking good! The photo from the back makes the jump pack look incredibly bulky -- it's not. MaxMini heads make your marines look incredibly mean, are they excommunicate or just kind of grim style loyalists?
I'm waiting for the painted miniatures.
As for the bubbles: these packs are basically a b*tch to cast. We'll be reworking the design a bit that'll make them easier to cast (and increase our good/bad casts ratio, at the moment the packs have the highest of our entire range).

No you are right the packs are not overly large or really anymore bulky than the GW ones, they just sit low on the Marines. I am doing a Silver Skulls army. So grim loyalists it is.
I'm waiting for the painted miniatures.
Thanks, me too. I am concentrating more on assembly right now, trying to get everything together before an August tournament. (I've put my Tau on early retirement for now)

I believe you but just wanted to be honest. I still like them. I think I will be mixing new and old packs among the assault troopers. Being they are a current timeline army, but have been around since the Second Founding. So they would still have some old equipment in their armory.

Has anyone found a way to easily convert these turrets to fit the existing Razorback chassis? It looks like these turrets have a much smaller mount, and I don't know if I really want to go about tearing up tanks trying to get these to fit.

But... what for? Every gun platform set includes flat "floor" piece that happens to perfectly match the dimensions required to fit into rectangular hole on top of rhino chassis.
Now, if you'd like to have it fit the circular hole within the piece you've posted, that's a bit more complicated. But not too much, as the gun "holder" also uses a cylindric part to fit into the "floor" piece.
Would you like a top-down (same perspective as the plastic GW piece you've posted above) photo of the "floor" piece?

I'd recommend removing your razor hatch you already have attached, providing you didn't overglue it, it should be fairly easy. This lets you swap the vehicle from rhino - razor anyways, which is useful.
If not, lets see the top down pictures of the cylindrical piece you mentioned Tomash, and maybe the conversion (if any is necessary) is fairly easy to see?

Aye, pretty sure that some of these have been put together with GW plastic glue, so I am having a bit of a time trying to decide if I want to try and reconfigure all my vehicles and put in a $100 order for these turrets, or not :(

I don't think that is a possibility. Some of these seem to be glued on real good.

Thanks, it would be much appreciated. And I don't want to sound like I am slandering your company, because I am not. I think what your making is good stuff!
I am just implying it would have been a shame if you were able to come up with some sort of option for your turret to fit into a complete looking mount that can simply fit into the Razorback hatch hole. Ya know, for us blokes that have other Razorback turrets and are just looking to compliment their existing collection

Have you guys thought about making turrets that can fit on top of the Rhino top doors? I was about to buy a bunch of Rhinos and use your turrets for them, but all the top doors were securely glued so I passed :( Having turrets that fit flush, on top of the doors as opposed to replacing them would make magnetizing really easy, and anyone with a Rhino with a glued hatch would love them.

I don't want to be spoil sport but asking a small casting company to make pieces for every single conceivable vehicle configuration gamers might have seems a little unreasonable. With just a little thinking, and minor converting, every single issue you guys have raised could be solved.

No, just a turret that makes a Rhino into a Razorback, but fits ON TOP of the Rhino top hatch, not replacing it like usual.

The hatches that they provide do look flat, I cant see how it would be an issues just to insert a couple magnets flush into the top of a Rhino hatch and work it that way.

Yep - the site definately needs to be updated. As I was going through the checkout process, I was asked to select from 1 shipping option:

To find that the shipping rate is actually more than double when you get to the next step is the kind of thing that will lose you sales when people are just buying an item or two that costs $14

I ordered a week ago. 2 AC turrets. The shipping was the same as what was quoted here though I haven't received any kind of shipping notice yet. I usually get stuff from the UK or US in 4 days to 3 weeks, so hopefully it's not too different from Poland - I'm definitely hoping for it not to be a month or 6 weeks.
Ordered some Maxmini stuff at the same time and got a shipping confimation from them within a day, so it'll be interesting to see when both arrive.
edit - Well I got my shipping notice from Bitspudlo an hour ago. So it took them a week after payment to ship out the order, which is worse than most eBay sellers but about the same as Maelstrom. I'll keep the thread updated with my experience.

Well, I got my order today and I can't say I'm happy with the quality.
Both sets of AC arms (ie all 4) are warped to some degree. Both top plates are warped with one side cut at an odd uneven angle.
One of the weapon mounts is seriously miscast on one side of it's base.
4 seperate pieces I received have little bits of the mold stuck in the detail.
That's not even mentioning the amount of bubbles and flash throughout the pieces.
Overall - Not impressed at all. Would not buy again. A real shame since the sculpting is very well done. The Quality Control however....
By contrast, I got a bunch of Scibor pieces this week as well. The scibor ones have some flash and a very few bubbles, but the overall quality is like night and day.
I would be able to make the Bitspudlo pieces look good, but it's going to take hours of work of heating and cooling and heating and cooling. And even then there's no guarantee I'll get the gun barrels properly straight. I also don't have a lot of time for hobby related things right now, so chances are that these are just going to end up thrown in a box for years as I don't have half a weekend free to spend trying to fix them up Likewise, there's a lot of the detail I'm simply going to lose when I clean these figures up since there's so much "overgrown" resin around the details - from the last set that took a chunk of the mold with it.
I'm half tempted right now to just take them outside and make them into resin dust with a hammer. I'm way past disappointed and quite pissed off.

Hi Scipio,
I am sorry you are not happy with the quality. It seems that growing and hiring people to cast our models came with a price. Neither me nor Tomash can check every piece that is shipped. I just hope that this is only a exception not a rule.
We will be happy to send you new items with quality that will please you.

I'll get pictures up in the next 2 days. It's 7:45am here right now and I've got to go to work, and it's gaming night tonight with friends, so I'll do my best to get something up Friday sometime. I didn't post here to hurt your business - just to give honest (if pissed off) feedback - just as if everything was roses I'd be raving about them - and as I said earlier, the sculpting is very nice. Just the QC is not.
Targetawg - the main hint from anyone to "fix" them would be heat, bend, cool, heat, bend, cool, repeat (and hope I can straighten the bent parts to perfectly straight). Along with cut, file, cut, file (and hope I don't lose too much detail when doing so).
Anyway, more tomorrow (and hopefully the pics). Work calls.

Post by: Azazelx
I emailed the pics directly. I won't post them here unless Zly asks me to. I'll give them a chance to fix up the QC issue before reviewing them on the blog, but I hope they can fix up the quality control, since some of my miscast parts are clearly not the first in the chain of the mold's degradation.

agreed, always better to contact the manufacturer and give them a chance to right whatever happened. Imagine if GW lost a customer with every mistake they made GW has some poor QA however there ability to resolve problems is always A+
I suspect the bits studio guys will get this sort out for you in no time
115
Post by: Azazelx
Well, I did consider that - but then again how is it fair if we can only rave positives about a manufacturer and only complain about shoddy merchandise from "the big boys"?
I'll be blunt. If I'd had any idea about the quality of product I would receive from them, I wouldnt' have SPENT MY MONEY there. I'm giving them a chance to fix it not only for myself, but to fix up this level of QA for future customers and not just quietly fix the problem for myself. Going by one of the pieces I received - that particular mould is f***ed. Yet it's still in use. Someone after me would have gotten the next casting out of that one, just as bad or worse.
So no. If I buy a commercial product for a commercial price, I'll feel free to state in public what I think of their stuff as well as note any issues such as being sent miscast items. The manufacturer needs to be aware that this is an issue so it doesn't happen to the next guy.
I'm sure that the Bitspudlo guys will resolve this for me - after all, I'm making noise on this forum about it. The bigger question is whether their QA will be improved - if the new hires will be asked/told to be stricter with the stuff that goes out. I hope that happens also.
That's what this post is about, just as my post in the other thread talking about how brilliant my also-just-arrived Maxminis stuff is. Honest public feedback so the companies can react appropriately and consumers can make informed choices about where to spend their money.

Thanks for photos Scipio. You can post them here to get others some context.
I think that you can still use them with not that much effort so no need to use the hammer as you mentioned earlier.
Of course pieces of silicon mould are unacceptable and the barrels/bases should be straight out of the box.
Said that, we will ship you new items that lack these flaws and we will do it asap. I hope you will find them pleasing.

Much appreciated. As I said, I'm sure I could fix them, though I don't think I'd ever be able to get the barrels perfectly straight (due to my own ability), and I wasn't mucking about when I said I really don't have the time to fix them.
I'll post the pics alongside the replacement ones, as I think that would be fairer to show the better end of your quality at the same time. Automatically Appended Next Post: Alpharius wrote:Agreed!
However. comments like:

might be a bit much.
That's honestly how I felt at the time. No hyperbole. I was extremely disappointed and POed. Ever opened a package that you had been excited about receiving, examined the contents and thought (out loud or internally) WTF is this? That was my reaction, especially given that it was right on the heels of receiving my awesome stuff from two other Polish resin sites. Instead I just threw them in a box of bits. - And after taking the photos I sent the guys, that's where they are again. The other stuff is on my desk right now.

Scipio, we've re-sent your order on tuesday. Hope to read your impressions.
We've improved quality control (every cast piece is now checked personally by me or Zly before shipping) and, what's more important, our overall casting quality by changing the colorant of resin.
Now that our casting is good again, we'll be adding some awesome new stuff to our offer the upcoming week

My, my, are those daemon women ever nice... I'm glad I happened across this thread again, because I was just thinking of starting up a Slaanesh Chaos Daemons army...
They'd be more expensive than GW daemonettes, woman for woman, but I wasn't gonna get GW ones anyways - don't like em much. I was gonna get some stuff from Reaper Minis, but honestly, I like these even better than the ones I was gonna get from Reaper. And these aren't much more expensive than those...

Time for some fresh & hot stuff!
Just got back from our manufacture where we've been cutting the first mold and doing first cast of our new set.
The working name is "Bulky Cyborgs".
Here's a quick&dirty photo of first cast from the master mold, shows most (but not all!) parts that will make up the set.
(some elements, especially legs, are a bit warped as I've been pulling them from the mold while still soft -- oh the excitement -- but they're perfectly straight, you know)
A complete kit (blister) will include enough components to assemble two complete cyborgs:
- two of each: head, torso, groin
- 4x leg plate, 4x shoulder (designed to give a lot of freedom with positioning arms)
- 4 legs (2 mk1 "two-toe" legs, 2 mk2 "standard" legs), 4 hands, 6 arms (three different types/angles)
- (possibly) a servo-arm (or two), mountable either as arm or at the back
It is possible that the parts of this kit might fit (at least scale-wise ) sf heavily armoured soldiers

For anyone in the US who has ordered bits, about how long does shipping take? Sitting on about 2 weeks so far and I'm itchin to use my new stuff.
@Tomash or Zly: Will extra armor for rhino the rhino chasis be a future project? I'd like to know whether to wait for one made by you guys, since your product is so much better, or if I need to settle for whats out there.
Also, when will the not-cyclone missile launchers be available?

About the same here for that, but I expected it from what I had read. There was information on the forum in regards to complications with a certain piece that I had in my order and they were even kind enough to allow me to modify my order (adding to it) before sending it off. I've also had an email follow up but I can't really respond because I'm waiting for delivery.

This. The feedback we've received here is priceless. Automatically Appended Next Post: Brace for impact, incoming previews of new goodies.
You're getting these pics even before our Facebook fan page, Dakkaites
These are photos of first production casts, sprayed quickly with grey primer (to reduce shine and bring up the detail). Starting today we have started building up stocks of these goodies, there'll be a small batch available on monday.
(images are links to higher-res versions)
1. Infantry-sized Automatic Cannon, with practical handles for the strongest of soldiers:
2. Servo Arm for everything you might want to equip with it (pics of assembled will follow soon)
3. Bulky Cyborg, an awesome miniature
I hope you like them!
As you probably see, these kits are pretty open to new parts and ideas, so feedback is (as always) much appreciated.

I love the body and even the arms. However, I'm not entirely sure if I understand what's going on with the head.

The head? Well, it's robotic, inhuman and weird (just wait for the painted version!). The sculptor of this set (Pawel "Hamster" Zdanowski) was probably watching "Hardware" yet another time
Absolutionis wrote:I'm hoping and assuming that this awesome Cyborg will coincidentally be comparable in size to the Terminator models from our "favorite" company, yes?
It seems that accidentally yes, it's very compatible
(this project originally started as "set of bionic parts for terminator-like models", but then we've decided that it should include as many different bionic parts as possible, and before we realized there we had all the bits to assemble a complete miniature. there will be two in the set, as there are two different types of legs)

The head has kind of chaotic feel if a low tech robot. As for terminators I never thought about that but now when you mentioned it, it looks similar in size.Base is 40mm.
For hands we think about some crude crushing replacement. For firearms you are only limited with imagination what can be attached instead of this hand.
And yes, it will be compatible with incoming double automatic cannon.

I think this is a pretty smart idea - supply a complete cyborg body, so that modellers can use whichever bionic bits they need. I hope they sell well enough to warrant some more variant versions too.
Of course, the next move would be robot heads to allow a complete robotic body - wouldn't these make cool counts-as Necrons?

I just took two of the leftover (didn't pass QC) casts of the Servo-Arm to see how they assemble. Long story short: awesome. Because the parts are designed to rotate freely at the places of connecting, it gives some awesome modelling possibilities.
These photos are made to show scale and combinations of the Servo Arm. The Servo Arm wasn't even glued to the Black Templar (there's a part in kit -- fourth from left -- that makes it easy to mount the Servo Arm on a cylindical or spherical surface).

I must say that it honestly looks too big for a servo arm. A servo harness maybe, but it does not look suitable for a normal servo arm.
22687
Post by: MajorTom11
I kinda like that about it... There are many conversions I can think of where a larger than usual arm could come in handy... I wanted something like that in my Storm Raven conversion to hang in the rear compartment. I came up with a different solution in the end I am satisfied with, but my initial idea was 'need servo arms'! Big Ones! Could only find metal ones, and they were sold out in general.
I can see a few areas where a snip and a cup could shorten them without compromising the look. To be fair though, it isn't fair to expect the client to chop things up to make it work and I realize that, even though I am sure many people would be fine with them as is, and a good chunk would also be fine to chop them to size.
I think the market can accommodate multiple arm sizes, from one size bigger than that, to one notch lower with a more 'normal' servo length, right down to a servo arm that would be the right size to use as a straight up bionic arm, but in that style...
In any case, it's a win for me, it wouldn't take much for me to figure places I would want to use it!

So to recap what you'd like to see besides the current kit:
- an alternative, shorter arm
- alternative "ends"; current ideas include drill, tongs, heaters & cutters
Should be doable. I don't want to do any declarations, but I'll talk with sculptors

Post by: cadbren
Perhaps a small servo arm that could help load a missile launcher or similar for an armoured soldier.
That current arm would look good on a walker, for an individual it needs to be 75-50% of it's current size.

I kinda like how big it is myself. Looks more like it might be of actual use.
34329
Post by: dantay_xv
Nah the servo arm is perfect, the shorter ones would be too impractical in a real world situation as it cant go further than the reach of the tech marine.... the longer bigger arm would be more practical and aesthetically it looks cool.
Plus that Cyborg...... Iron Hands and Iron Fathers ahoy!!!

First one is an Assault on Black Reach 'nought with Venerable Dreadnought bitz.
the second is a "straight up" Venerable Dread.

It's a "Leman Russ Mk II" or "King Russ" made by a Russian company. The copyright violations are obvious and blatant on the model (which means its no longer made). I was thinking it could be re-made as long as the copies of GW equipment/bits were eliminated. The basic chassis could be cast without the Leman-Russ looking bolts and cannon. I'm confident whoever makes the next version of this vehicle will make serious money.

Looks like a back to front Leman Russ (driver is where the original engine compartment used to be), with predator sponsons, landraider engine bits and baneblade fuel canisters, possibly bane blade turret too. It looks way cool.
Make it a bit more generic and it will be more than just IG that would want it, it looks like a nice pred alternative too.

Restocking in progress...
By the way, this thread made me laugh today:
Why? At first GW lawyers thought every name, concept and design mentioned in one of their books is per se protected and nobody may do a model based on that without their explicit permission. This proved to be wrong, because only models are protected, not ideas and concepts. Now GW lawyers fear that if they release Tervigons, Thunderwolves etc, the third party companies already doing these might successfully sue them.
Don't worry, Games Workshop! We won't! Well, at least for the Thunderwolves (which will probably be a blatant ripoff of our Storm Wolves) and provided you won't try to sue us for our other products

I own one of these, it is an absolutely beautiful tank, I can't make myself use the normal russ after having gotten this one. However, there are some huge downsides to this model, which is the reason that I have not bought more yet, especially #2 is the reason:
1: It is expensive (but compared to the quality/look, it is a better buy than a normal russ IMO)
2: It is absolute hell to put together. You have to sand, cut, grind, cry and kill yourself through the horrible process of building this beast. As I don't want to suffer through this one more time, I will have to pay someone to put it together for me, which adds to the cost of the tank.

Making large tanks out of resin poses a few challenges, quite similar to making them from metal (who remembers land raider mk1?).
- if made of one large piece, it's really heavy, which also means expensive (lots and lots of resin)
- the price increase could be offset by dropping in resin waste, but then again, a good setup and a skilled worker means not-that-much of a waste
- even if made of one large piece, it would require a few tricks to avoid warping the model due to squeezing the mould (which is too easy given such a large cavity)
- if made of many pieces, it will be one hell of a work to put it all together, as both the silicone and resin tend to shrink when curing; not much (less than one percent in every direction), but enough to make assembly a nightmare
But still, it's an interesting idea. I'm not saying "no", at least not definitely

About big tank, I am a big fun of having something like that in our offer and will fight with Tomash for it

@ Eeps: You said it, now theres no taking it back! Seriously though, Guard players really need a better tank. With the outstanding merchandise your company comes out with, a vehicle to the same standards would be a welcome addition.

Tomash, as long as it's under 1kg then shipping cost shouldn't be more than $15(europe, USA) which could be acceptable with good price on the item .
Anyway it's on the list but even if we start working on it it will take some time to finalize this kind of project.

I'd make the humble suggestion (in case it's not already so) of making the top missle bit compatible with the top back torso of a terminator in case someone wanted to use it as a not-cyclone missle launcher.

Could that missile launcher perhaps be fitted onto the back of a rhiino in order to resemble a whirlwind artillery tank?

Seems a bit small for that though doesnt it? You'll need 2-4 of them to look big enough

It is already so, I thought it was pretty obvious
I think a tank-fitting missile battery deserves its own product

Nice work on that one, gentlemen. If people were using the launchers elsewhere and not as standalone light support weapons, the tripods could be welcomed for Imperial Guard heavy weapons.
I was just playing Space Marine (the videogame) yesterday and as I passed an Imperial Guard outpost I liked the look of the standing height tripod-mounted Heavy Bolters some of them had.

I sensed it was hinted with the comment about the tripod but the difference between hinted and obvious could easily be sales. Cyclones go for alot on the bits market compared to other things their size/availability. Either way, good idea!

Those are really neat... I think I need a few of them and a bunch of "thermic" guns.
Do you guys know when you will be restocking other manufacturers' work (Kromlech, Maxmini, etc.)? I'm just thinking about cutting my postage costs a bit by just ordering from one site, i.e. yours.

Sure! We've actually bought some of the new stuff from Kromlech, but I haven't got to adding them to our store offer. If there's anything specific you'd like to buy through our store, please drop me an email
Matus, could you show us the photos of the gun-arms you've been working on recently?

You don't want to cut off one of the barrels from the double autocannon arm? OK, we'll see what could be done.
Of course we'll have a few new arms for those robots: a minigun arm ( WIP pics already in this thread), a flamer arm, possibly also a large-caliber cannon arm. There are lots and lots of possibilities

I think that Major Tom meant rather dreadnought sized robot models. I am I right?
If yes, then why not. It should not be a problem.

I beleive if you were to google the word "contemptor" you might find some specific inspiration, especially if you looked at a specific world that involves a forge.

Just a quick update.
While our new releases are in the making (first casts of "cyborg gatling cannon arm" complete, now it's just a matter of taking a photo and adding to our offer -- expect them on thursday at most), I took some time and updated our store's Kromlech offer (awesome bits, especially for orc fanatics!). So now you can buy lots of awesome resin stuff and pay for the shipping only once
(and yes, our store's MaxMini offer update is coming right up!)

I recently bought 6 of the gatling cannons. I have to say I was dissapointed in the quality of the casts. Very few pices made it to me without some warping or air bubbles in them. Nothing so drastic that I couldnt get by with it but I was hoping for better quality than I have seen with GW finecast and I'm afraid I didn't find it. I sent an email to bitspudlo but recieved no reply. I love the way the guns look but I don't think I will be ordering anything else from them in the near future.

Jeremesh: I've sent you an email on 26th october (a few hours after yours) offering re-sending of the bad casts.
