Side note, In all my internet travels and discussions across the net, this is the only venue where I have heard anything ill of MWC

I'm sure you are aware of the stuff written about Matt or Redstarone though, it's all over the place. It's not just Dakka. Perhaps there isn't much negative about MWC elsewhere, but Matt has rather tried to disguise his involvement so many probably aren't aware of the connection.

If he's ones of Matts friends, then he's just another mouthpiece for the Redstarone scam machine. Seen this happen so many times since this all kicked off. Matt just seems to have a line of folks willing to help him do what he does.

I've never had contact with Matt btw, but I've followed the story ever since the original Transaction report went up against redstarone here on Dakka, and I respect a number of those folks he's scammed. Here and elsewhere and fully believe the greater community should stand up against folks like him and alert others.

He might still scam the odd person, but going on how threads have appeared on here, Warseer, Heresy, it is a trail he is unable to shake in the long run. Hopefully eventually he'll scam the wrong person and get the full weight of the law thrown at him. Until then, I am quite sure there are a fair few voices willing to stand up against him.

Regardless of anything else Dakka is still one of the biggest Wargamming fan sites on the net, and going on how angry I've seen Matt post, he doesn't like the fact such a vocal site is eager to call him out whenever they can. As with all conmen, being out in the open and associated with your shady deals is not a good place to be.

Long may that annoyance plague him.

LuckyNo.5- Matt is the founder, and he's pretended to be contributors who don't exist via email and phone messages- I have them and am willing to share them with you. Matt doesn't post on the site under his own handle- he posts as "Miniature Wargame Conversions". I would indeed be suspicious if yakface were instead posting as "Dakka Dakka" on his own website.

As others have mentioned, the bad press about Matthew Bonder is on many sites and not just DakkaDakka. MagickalMemories has been in this thread and I'm sure can link you to the threads on Bartertown about him. There are many others, as well...

I can understand your defending an online friend who you won a prize from, but what I don't understand is not looking at the evidence before doing so. It took me a long time of communicating with your website before I started this thread. Only AFTER I started it did Matt confirm to me via email that I was now communicating with him and no longer with the mysterious contributors "Jeff" and "Damien". That's why the site is involved... because Matt involved it by communicating with me as "Miniature Wargame Conversions".

This is also his handle on the blog. If he were to openly list himself on the contributors page, and post under his own handle "RedStarOne", I'd have MUCH less of a problem with the site. That way, people would have a better chance of knowing who they're dealing with. As it is, he's hidden behind the site, and that makes it extremely dangerous, along with any giveaways the site does. There's a reason he abandoned his "Conversion Corner" website, and the handle "RedStarOne"... they are stained by the exposing of his prior scams, and he needed a new identity. How can you not see that the site is giving him credibility And anonymity simultaneously, and how that is dangerous...?

Also, I still don't understand why you haven't responded to the idea of talking to Mike at Showcase Comics, which is in the Philadelphia area. He can vouch for what we're saying here, if you just don't trust anything you read online... even though it's All over the web about Matthew Bonder / RedStarOne, not just on DakkaDakka. If that's your reason, why not just talk to him? He's been in business a long time and is as reputable as they come in this hobby.

People never cease to amaze me. Most of the MWC-"Mathew Bonder" supporters that have posted here all have the same attitude of refusing to view or even acknowledge the existence of evidence that turns into angry posts when they are asked about why. The excuses range from "disbelieving what I read", Internet people aren't real people, Mathew is a wonderful person who has done good, Mathew hasn't wronged me so why should I care?, etc.

To validate MWC and Mathew Bonder I have seen links to Blogs that no longer exist or have just been started with only 1 post on them, people claiming that they are legit and post on MWC so it is legit as well, and several others.

Several of the defenders only just got started in blogging and have little to no background. Attitudes are similar to each other and to Mathew Bonder's past rants when called out. Even some of the names of bloggers are similar to Mathew's many previous forum aliases.

The defense excuse of MWC doesn't sell or take money is a poor defense, as it really does not address the issue of Mathew Bonder's past actions. His link to the MWC is the fact that he started it. Trying to keep the two separate is impossible. MWC is a scam site by this fact. To defend it is foolish. It does not matter at all that every other person who posts, contributes, wins may be completely legit. The founder is a proven criminal who steals product and money from people. The evidence of this is spread over numerous sites. Several of the people he has stolen from have reputable names in this hobby.

Why is this so hard for so many people to understand? I am left with one of two conclusions...First, Mathew Bonder has set up an elaborate support network of fake blogs and forum names to support his illegal activities. I have seen things like this in the past so I cannot discount this theory. The second is just that people amaze me. I will not elaborate on this as it would be a violation of the forum rules. Either way, I truly hope to see the MWC site shut down as it exists only as a cover for Mathew Bonders criminal activities and I really hope that the people scammed by him are able to get the evidence needed together and pursue a course of action that will see bonder in jail.

Well, most people do have an online handle that they use. I didn't register my real name on DakkaDakka, but I have used d-usa as my handle for quite a while and it is pretty much my online name as far as my identity is concerned. I use it as my handle on forums, in IRC, email, and my website. Not using your established online identity when doing online business does come across as shady to most online users.

Whatever name is being used on the internet doesn't matter. The fact that you have wonderful content and great prizes in your raffles doesn't matter either. All of these thing obfuscate the fact, by deflection, that the site is run by a criminal. Mathew Bonder is a known and proven criminal. He is the sole individual who started MWC and is the primary person responsible for starting this whole raffle business in the first place. Given his history, the purpose of MWC is to start yet another round of scamming again.

The fact that all of you who defend the site and Mathew do not understand why so many people believe this is boggling. If Mathew Bonder was truly trying to give something back to the miniature gaming community then why did he not start by giving the promised products that he stole? Why did he not return the money he stole first? Instead he started a site that will put him in position to start scamming again.

The fact that he started selling his titans on the site is proof of this. I know that the original posting about them is gone now, but it does not change the fact that he WAS trying to sell on the site that all of you are trying to convince people is not for selling anything.

Several of you have stated that you have heard Mathews side of this sad story as well, but no one has actually explained it. Please do. If all of the people who believe him to be a criminal are wrong then please show us. Stop pimping the site. Stop threatening to kick peoples arse. Stop calling us names and all the rest and actually show us why we are wrong. Give us his side of the tale that you have heard. The dead and/or dying wife and child? The product in a mystery storage locker in another city? Whatever you have that explains why numerous people have never received their promised products.

Until a logical reason is given to explain all of this, I am afraid that you are going to have to except that people like us are going to continue to try to prevent Mathew Bonder from continuing his current endeavors as we believe it is just another attempt to scam people out of further products and money. No one has given us any reason to believe otherwise.

Lucky, I don't think you're understanding the point people are making here. it may be because you're not looking at it from the right p.o.v., or it might be because they're not saying it properly. Let me try to rephrase it.

Let me ask you a few questions.
If 4 or 5 bloggers on the site had a problem with Matthew, got into a pretty ugly argument and they -as well as Matthew- determined that they needed to split ways (he and that group), what would happen? Would those bloggers have the opportunity to boot Matthew from the site, as the majority, or would Matthew have the sole authority to remove those bloggers? What if every other member of the site unanimously agreed with that group? Could Matthew then be removed, or would they be forced to sever ties by leaving (or being removed from) the site?
If the majority of users cannot overrule ONE, then it is indeed HIS site and the rest of the users are no more than mouth pieces. If, collectively, the rest of you do not have the "power" to remove Matthew from the site, then it is HIS site, and he simply allows you to post there. THAT does not support your comment that, "MWC IS NOT JUST MATT."

On Bartertown, our Lead Admin goes by the handle Linrandir. Short of the site owner, there is nobody on the site who outranks him. In my experiences with him over the years, I know his reputation to be above reproach. If, however, he was ever shown to have a character defect that shined a similar light on him as has been shined on Bonder, there is a higher power. The site owner could be approached with proof. I truly believe that Linrandir -who is, for all intents and purposes the "main man" on the site- would be booted in a heartbeat if it was shown that he was scamming members. The same goes for ANY staff member.
Furthermore, such is the integrity of the rest of the staff that none of us would want to be associated with anyone with such a reputation. Should one of us do something as Bonder has, the rest of us would treat him as we would any other scammer.
My point? The site, as a whole, would want NOT to be associated with anyone with such a record, regardless who he is. The same does not seem to be the case for the people who blog on Matthew's site.


Here is another question for you; How many MWC members have you had contact with online? How many in person? You see, Matthew has a proven history of misrepresenting his identity. I'm not referring to the little fiasco with RiTides. I'm going back even before that. He has been shown in the past to use the anonymity of the internet to create false identities. In reality, you have no true idea of knowing just how many of these bloggers are, in actuality, Matthew Bonder.

To be fair, for those calling Matthew a criminal; As much as I BELIEVE he is guilty (Admittedly, though I'd love to be a fly on that wall, I'd have to excuse myself from Jury duty on this one LOL), he IS just an "Accused Criminal" until someone steps forward and follows this through the legal channels.

It's not about the crew being associated with a regularly accused thief and liar. It's about the site OWNER being one. Every other member of the site posts there SOLELY at the discretion of Matthew, and he could cut them off at any time, for any reason.

That was my thought too, and at least for the most part according to MWC's website, they provided a picture of Lucky. But many of those things can be faked on the internet, but I'm of a similar mind to SlaveToDorkness... Lucky seems legit, and if his own personal blog is legit, he's got some skill. LuckyNo.5 isn't RedstarOne? I would have bet money on that. I thought they were the same person. Kid seems like an alt account trying to up his burned reputation. I regularly post on a fitness forum, one of the major user's name is "Nattygraham" an obvious steroid user. The guy has made an entire fan club of a dozen or more alternate accounts with fake pictures to up his "reputation" that he's natural.

It would be amusing to see Matt at a large event. I wonder how he acts in person to accusations/generally pissed off people.

Well LuckyNo5 does not have the anger issues that characterized the other few accounts that were defending RedstarOne. The other accounts all had similar confrontational styles.

For the second point- Matthew Bonder / Redstarone are pretty much burned by now, the problem is "Matt from MWC" looking so credible. Hopefully, this thread does come up near the top for "Miniature Wargame Conversions" for a while... but unfortunately, I believe when I first had to search for his site in the summer, it didn't come up at the top when that was entered, and now it does (although this thread is close behind it).

I was also scammed by RSO/Matt Bonder.
I never received my final services/work paid for, but settled for lesser amounts to be done with it.
And a special thank you to mr. Justin Wu of GG. he sent me a shadowsword kit to pay final RSOs debt.
I know he is viewed in a negative light by some, but he promised to make matt's wrong, right. he came
through in the end. Matt told me he had compensated JW for the shadowsword, but none ever came.
finally JW just sent it after he received his stock order. to the best of my knowledge JW still hasn't been
paid.

A bit of a fun story. i live Oklahoma. in 2010 we took our kids to Sea World San Antonio. On the way home
i surprised him by popping in. he was suposed to be in Ar. according to his latest set of email lies. Someone was
in his appartment, but wouldn't answer the door. after about 5 min, a suv pulled up and a bearded wildman jumped
out and stated he was Michael and asked if he could help me? i said sure, get matt to give my cash or =. He said he'd
handle it if RSO didn't. Michael was the one at this time of matt's messes that was supposed to be mailing peoples items
for matt because of him being out of state. turns out this joker was matt's stepdad. I called him repeatedly before he completely
RSOed out and stopped responding to my requests for resolution.

I would like to add 2 more things.

He gives alot of people with good hearts, skills and vision bad names.
After my ordeal, i was lucky enough to find a gent in my state that does fantastic work.
If he hadn't been local, i may have missed out on helping him make a living, and me getting
quality work done.

and secondly, thank you RiTides for this. unfortunately the saying there's one born every minute
is too true. new people are getting into this hobby all the time. it's so easy for him to find someone
new to take advantage of. awareness like this won't help everyone. but if it saves 1 person then it helps.

I donated to the Alpharius fund and plan to do so again around tax time (Come on W2s!).
I think this is the best way to help the community that has been wronged. i'd love for RSO
to pay Alpharius back personally, but we are mortal. subject to aging. we'll never see it in our lifetimes.

The ebay seller (which also has an ebay store) is interesting. Could you link to the exact page where you found the link from? It's probably been moved/deleted already, though... the original link shows a list of Reddit links to MWC, but I'm not sure which one leads to the ebay page.

Let's avoid jumping to any conclusions here (i.e., this is Not a witch hunt) but I'd like to thoroughly discount the possibility of that ebay account being Matt's.

It links to a previous account of "lord.sepius" who is also a user on Dakka. I got a PM from them just now, I guess about 7 a.m. Dallas time. I'm going to post it here for the sake of figuring this all out... again, I'd like to emphasize that people Not jump to conclusions. I also just received a PM from Sekai saying they've dealt with "double.your.bits" with no problems.

My possible issue is with the turn-around time on this response, and the language in the PM (particularly the last section, underline mine). Here it is:

I am very concerned that this will happen with people from your forum and that thread coming to my store and thinking I'm Mr Bonder ion the hopes to hurt my store. I have confirmed who I am to ebay and paypal many times even going so far as to fax in my DL and many other documents.

I am willing to do the same to you to show I am not Mr Bonder or linked to his site in any what so ever.

I am going to ask Lord.Serpius to go ahead and fax me their Driver's License if that is what they are willing to do. My problem with this, again Not jumping to any conclusions, is:

1. How quickly I received this PM, followed by a PM of support from another user. This is very similar to how Matt responds when accused. I'll ask the other user if they were asked to PM me by Lord.Serpius.

2. The identifying line at the end of the PM giving their story, which doesn't seem to match a previous post (see below).

3. The comment about faxing Ebay a Driver's License. Do people have to do this?

4. Coincidentally, is it possible that Matt is 24? Gives a great excuse to be communicating on behalf of the mother...

Other then the color variations, the quality, size and sprues are exactly the same. No defects or miscasts at all.

Again, what concerns me is some of the language. Also the storyline- the first post I quoted says they're selling FW because they are getting out of the hobby, but now they are a consistent FW seller and a 57 year-old woman who is supporting their son's hobby. There is also the question of FW resin color, along with the language in the ebay listing about bits not being shipped with the FW block. I'll be asking for their ID, since they offered... but that is just really odd since Matt always offered the same thing. I've also PM'ed them letting them know I am putting my thoughts in this thread and inviting them to respond here if they wish.

My son was leaving the hobby because our income was to low to afford it. Once he had the idea to sell FW parts, he talked me into it and here I am. Here I am defending myself from people that, from what this thread has shown, think everyone and anyone is Mr Bonder.

As I said, I'm just asking questions to try to track down the storyline, which is a bit convoluted... I'll look for your fax on Monday.

I make 75-80% profit when I order large orders with free shipping. I don't do it really for the money. Its so it can pay for my sons hobby and give me something to do now that I'm retired.

Its not the best paying job but it has its perks, as mentioned above. That's why I'm worried to be linked here when it has nothing to do with me.

It really could be a case of unfortunate circumstances- i.e., you happen to be in the same city as Matthew Bonder, have a hard-to-track storyline, etc... hopefully, the fax will clear it up for me, and if you send it to me I'll post in the thread saying so.

However, I'm still 50/50 as I felt this way when communicating with MiniatureWargameCo@gmail.com and being given other names/backgrounds and the like for the people I was supposed to be communicating with. At times it was quite convincing, and it made me feel bad to be asking so many questions... but in the end it turns out those "people" I was communicating with were fakes. Makes it hard to tell who's real and who's not!

That's understandable and I don't hold a grudge. I know the fax will clear it up, namely im a woman . What all info would you like? Ebay and paypal wanted a lot of stuff. For my DL can I block out my DL number and you can see my picture, name and address? Or do you want the DL number too? Id trust you wont send it to others unless you do black out my DL number.

Blocking out the DL number would be fine, I'd expect you to do as much. If you're doing so digitally you can simply email it to me, I'm not sure how you'd block it out on a fax. Morning is best, but anytime is fine, just put "Attention: Steve Garber" on the page somewhere.

The multiple ebay accounts is suspicious, too... but as I said, it could be a perfect storm of circumstances that are making things look bad, but everything has an explanation. BUT, I've felt that way before... and it turned out to be false...

Yeah, that's the problem- there are a lot of loopholes... and the answers are a bit odd, too. But that's not a crime... just an indication that things might not be totally on the up-and-up. One thing that bothered me was the mention of the FW bits being genuine in a lot of the Swapshop postings. I don't know, I've found that to only be mentioned when people have something to hide... as otherwise, you just assume it's geniune- there's no other option.

All circumstantial- if a convincing ID is indeed sent to me, that might clear it up in my mind... but we'll see if that happens...

Edit: Yeah, let's see what alarmingrick has to say about how he was linked over to that ebay site from the Miniature Wargame Conversions site. I don't see any links to it, but it's possible they were removed...

I mentioned it because after my post on the older stuff I got in a trade was a different color, I was worried and hence, posted here asking peoples opinions. In the end I never sold those parts and my son simply used them.

I provided a picture of over 100 FW bags and at least as many spure blocks. Recasters don't buy that much stuff. Should I post the invoice slips from FW for each kit? They total over 2k US. Would that help?

This is actually starting to upset me. I'm now running late, spending time defending myself when this thread isn't about me and no one, anywhere, has ever questioned my products. Go read my feedbacks, please, really, go read them. On all 3 together over 250 transactions in 6 months. All positive. All with 5 stars as well.

As for saying nothing will happen in 1 day.. Ive already gotten 6 offers for random items in my store. Whats funny is the offer is always 1 dollar. When people make an offer they see my address. Clearly people from here are doing that to get my address. Explain that to me after saying im over reacting about this.

My gut feeling is the problem that your storyline changes rather fluidly. You've given an explanation for every question raised, but it is always the one that fits the bill for the moment... it is similar to how I felt when dealing with "Jeff" and "Damien". As I said, hopefully you will fax or email the information you said you were willing to, and that will clear it up for me... if there is an excuse given and that is not done, it would raise my suspicions quite a bit... as it would be a repeat of the dance I did with "Damien" for quite a while.

Will post here after seeing what you send via email, as well...

I will say this one last time. I'm not Mr Bonder. I'm not the other names you said. I have sent you more then enough evidence on my accounts and the validity on the quality of my products. As the email states and the Pm I just sent, I will provide the actual ID tomorrow if needed as well. No excuses, just look at my feedback to see I don't play around. Ive already sent you 4 various pictures.

1 showing a giant box of tons and tons of FW bags, as well as over 100 FW sprue blocks.

The three pictures are inconclusive...

1. Invoices arrayed in a pile not showing name or address
2. The edge of a card showing a name
3. A screenshot showing a name and address (which as a screen shot, could easily be photoshopped, so it's not conclusive)

If you don't want to send a picture of yourself holding any of the items, the ID you offered to scan Monday will be fine, and we'll have to wait. But as I said before, I went through this dance with "Damien" and never got a picture of the ID... so, we'll see if you send it. 1 - there are over 20 invoices. Of course its a pile
2 - The edge of my CC shows the same number and NAME used on the ebay account.
3 - So now my screen shot isn't good enough? It matches my CC.
4 - Texas IDs are really shiny with a coating to make it easy to see if they are real or fake. Ive told you I will send it and now in your PMs basically telling me that if I don't pose with it, its not proof for you. This is out of control crazy.

You could take a picture of the ID by itself. It's up to you... you don't have to take a picture of any of it. A clear shot of a single invoice showing your name could also be more convincing...

It's really up to you, you don't have to do anything further if you don' want. But you said you'd send a pic of the ID in your PM to me, and then you ended up sending a lot of inconclusive pictures. A single invoice showing information would be much more convincing than a pile of paper with no information visible. What am I supposed to think?

Not to sound antagonistic, but most states in the US have that "shiny" film over them to provide a level of watermarking. My Ohio driver's license has the same film, and I just took a picture of it. I'm editing it right now to block out any and all personal information but my first name (so DL number, issue number, last name, and address.).

Serpius, I'm not calling you, but I'm just saying the glare on a DL doesn't come into play unless you're using the flash on your camera.

The problem is, this is just like my communicating with "Jeff" and "Damien". Super-frequent responses, a million small things that just don't add up, and the inability to provide the easy thing that would prove them to be genuine. By themselves, none of these showed anything... but together, it showed I was dealing with a fake.

You have a webcam, you Just took pictures of a pile of invoices and the edge of a card. But you can't take a picture of the ID that you said you'd send. You won't take a picture of yourself holding any of the other items you already pictured. You won't even take a clear picture of a single invoice so that the information on it is visible.

This by far sounds like the best, and quickest way to resolve all of this, and while I'm not a pro photographer, my camera did this (note the lack of glare)

WE talked about me sending the ID tomorrow, not today. Stop saying im avoiding it when ive clearly sent you now 5 items of proof. Ones I'm posting here right now.

Not only can all of the images be photoshopped (they are image files after all), they also can be changed via inspecting the element of the webpage. I could change my ebay account info to match yours, take a screenshot of it, and then upload it to photobucket. That is a lot of hassle, but it can be done. In fact a popular youtube video game commentator did a video on this several months back.


Edit: I would also like to mention MGS's Skype idea will solve ALL OF THIS. Because it provides video AND voice.

Well im 57 and have no idea how to do any of that.

Like ive said countless times now, I will send RiTides a picture of me holding my ID. He and I agreed TOMORROW and now hes claiming im avoiding it.

That's my concern- and that's why providing the evidence right now (either a phone call or web cam shot of any of the things listed) would put all doubts to rest.

No, you cant. I had to send them literally 3 forms of ID including my ID, my divorce papers and my SS card.

Are you serious? I don't have to keep proving anything to you or anyone here yet I do. All you have done is prove you care more about getting even with someone I don't even know and in the process hurting my store.

I Charity work is work for me. A typo on a tiny touch screen of 1 and 3 instead of 2 and 4 isnt uncommon.

My cam cant even focus on paper let alone plastic with a gloss coat. No I don't want to have my picture taken to prove to you or anyone anything. That's why I use the internet. And yes, since you felt the need to embarrass me, I share a phone with my son.

2k spent over 6 months. I make 1-2 dollars per part I sell. That's all. Why Have a phone when I can use my sons. I have no one to call. And when I do, I use a internet relay service.

So really, in the end, you guys go do whatever you want. Anyone that buys from my store and doesn't pay or tries to leave me bad feedback based on lies, will be reported to ebay. I will take the time tomorrow to call ebay when I have a phone to use and discuss with them this thread and how you people are claiming i'm someone i'm not. It is truly a smoking gun. The reason being, there are so many ways you could prove that you're Susan, and you won't do it. Yet you type here over and over declaring your innocence. You take web cam pics of things, but won't take them of the things that could prove your innocence. Your license is too reflective to show up in a picture. Your son has the phone. Remember what I said? If you came up with excuses and didn't follow through, my suspicions would increase.

They're now at pretty much 100% that you're not who you say you are. There almost certainly is a Susan involved in the ebay/paypal account (registered to their name/address) but that isn't you. If it was, you would have done what could have so easily proved you to be that person, which you obviously have the capability to do (i.e., take a web cam pic of any of the things I listed previously).

Clearly you didnt read the above post. Lord Serpius was my sons ebay user name. I simply used it and when he mentioned this site being able to post ebay auctions, I just used the same name to make it easier to find me on ebay. I later changed it as yes, its a guys user name and I don't like it.

It's up to you. At this point, I think it's pretty clear that the person posting here isn't Susan. I can't imagine you're able to fool ebay/paypal into giving you an account with a fake name/address, so I assume you do have access to said Susan.

The only things you've sent me, you also posted in this thread, and they are thoroughly inconclusive.

What is conclusive is that now I'm supposed to believe that you are posting over and over here, yet somehow unable to take a picture of the invoice, your ID, or to get to a phone. That's totally unbelievable and quite condemning.

This knowledge doesn't do all that much for us- I figured you (Matt) would be trying to sell things on ebay under alternate accounts. I hope that Susan isn't so gullible as to let you scam under her name, so those accounts very well may be safe to deal with.

Nevertheless, I will likely be adding them to the OP as likely accounts for Matthew Bonder, so that people are warned. It is a shame that your name is being smeared, but I can't help wonder why a screen shot with your license and yourself is way out of line. I sell a ton on ebay, and I guarantee I would do whatever necessary to be able to sell safely and securely. Even if it meant humoring some overzealous (myself included) community members.

I can understand why the community isn't satisfied with the proof you provided. Those invoices may mean you are not recasting (personally I don't think you are recasting), but it is odd that none of them show a name on them. It seems like your true identity is the real matter at stake here, not if you are recasting. Matt Bonder has followed very similar patterns to the one you are now following. Vague "proof" and delays. Personally I want to see you clear this up. I respect people using eBay as a means for extra money. I think it is a shame that one person can cause so much fear across a community.

Believe it or not Ritides is a good dude. He has taken it upon himself to make sure that this community is safe and secure (at least as much as one can be online). If mad at anyone, it should be Matt Bonder. This is his hand that has made a thread like this absolutely necessary. I am very hesitant to do business with anyone in your area because of one rotten egg. It is unfortunate that you are now tied up in all of this, but it is what it is.

On a side note. Has anyone considered contacting any local (Dallas/FW area) newspapers? The press loves stories like this. They also have the means to thoroughly investigate claims and to bring scammers into the spotlight. While it may not be front page material it could lead to an investigative report. Heavens knows the media has spent a ton more money investigating things that are far less appealing than exposing a con man. Susan, you yourself may want to consider this. Look at the pain Matt Bonder has indirectly caused you. If not for him and his dealings you would have went on selling via eBay with no questions ever asked.

I agree. I brought up recasting to see what the reaction was, but I have no reason to believe that Matthew is doing so under this account.

That he is posting here, and not Susan, I think is a pretty clear conclusion from what has transpired in this thread, though. Of course that's my opinion, but I think the evidence supports it quite strongly. We can only go off of what is here, and from what we have seen, everything points towards Lord.Serpius not being forthcoming, putting forth really lame and unbelievable excuses, and refusing to provide proof when they clearly have the means to do so, and took the trouble to provide pictures of inconclusive things.

If you really were Susan, and wanted to clear your name, it'd be easy. But as it is, based on my communications with you via email as "Jeff" and "Damien", I am quite convinced that you are, in fact, Matthew Bonder.

Thank you for explaining it in detail to me.

RiTides and I agreed in our first PMs this morning id fax him a copy at his work. He has since changed his demands at every new PM and post here. Im more then willing to provide a good quality picture of me and my DL as well as calling him as soon as I can. He refuses after changing the agreement we made not even 2 hours ago.

As for contacting the paper, someone, please, that's a great idea and should be done. Before I didn't have much interest in this thread other then that he was in Dallas. Now, since my name is now in the mud over what, I don't know, i'm pretty p'd off.

I ask again, what proof is there that i'm linked to Bonder or his site. Im serious, I looked at the link that guy provided and it has NOTHING to do with my store. What did he come across it on ebay and say "hey look its Dallas, I better tell everyone its Bonder" because that's what it seems like.

The first post made by me saying getting out of the hobby was wrote with my sons help. I was very new to all this and he helped me a lot.

I'll agree I've spent too much time on this, but it's nothing compared to the amount of time I spent via email although it did result in two boxes being sent to Alpharius, and in that sense was worth it. This thread has really been a pain, and seemingly not worth it... but I wanted to get the word out... and him exposing himself publicly helps show what I was trying to convey (that he is continuing his activities under other covers).

I found in email the only way to pin him down was to push on details of his storyline until he provided other, contradictory details. He's done that here and you're right, the point's made and I'm through posting about it... will edit the OP to add the warning sometime this week and leave it at that.

My webcam cant take clear pictures. RiTides wants a picture of me with my DL that has the same name and face as me on it. I can not do that with a crappy webcam that couldn't even focus on letters on anything except the computer screen.

I actually received a hate mail from Matt a few days ago when I posted a comment about him in this thread. It was within 2 minutes of the posting. I have since blocked his email, and will continue to block all his other email addresses.

Is it not possible to contact ebay and papal with this "susans" details and explain your concerns that the accounts are being run on another parties behalf, which is a breach of their terms (with possible money laundering/tax evasion implications so IRS could be interested too) and have them suspend the accounts and let them carry out their own investigations. I'm sure "susan" would be more than happy to help them with their inquiries.

I think at this point just seeing via a webcam shot that he's dealing with a woman, driving license or not would help Ritides suspicions.

The sad truth is, it's too easy to say this is the truth on the Net, but a natural doubt has to remain due to the fact a person can type anything they want. Proof being requested is a surprise, even embarrasing to a degree.

However sometimes it is an neccesary evil, although not here on Dakka, due to having a networked PC, myself and Aura (my wife) have had to provide proof that we are seperate people, as we come up as the same IP on forums and it looks like a single user having multiple accounts. It's typically a big no no, but we are happy to clear it up.

I have no idea who you are by the way, but you do sadly seem to have the misfortune of typing in a very similar way to Redstarone, which obviously is concering someone like Ritides even more.

The last thing that I would like to post is that I did business with Lord.Serpius back in the beginning of October, before this thread was started, and before Lord Serpius joined DakkaDakka. Several messages were from Susan, tagged as such. It seems like a long stretch, at least to me knowing that. However, I think the greatest piece of evidence that can be provided to prove her side, outside of a phonecall and picture, would be to get pictures of those Forgeworld Slips up close, to see the name. There would be zero reason for Matt Bonder to use another persons name to order from Forgeworld, at least as far as I can tell.

Curious that I haven't gotten any emails in months, even though Matt still owes me quite a bit...

Well, not that curious, obviously, but I really would like the Baneblade, 2 Vindicator tanks, 5 Rhino tanks and the set of Space Hulk Terminators back that he still owes me, and has for getting on a few years now...

I actually received a hate mail from Matt a few days ago when I posted a comment about him in this thread. It was within 2 minutes of the posting. I have since blocked his email, and will continue to block all his other email addresses.

Matt doesn't owe you anything but you get an instant email response to a post.

He still owes me close to six hundred dollars and I didnt even get a Christmas card...

It seems I missed a lot here in recent times. I'd just like to add that when I signed up for paypal, all I needed was proof of a bank account to get started.

Driver's License, divorce papers, and a Social Security Card sounds a bit over the top, and the Social Security Card itself sounds quite dangerous actually. Has anyone else had to send that in before?

Thank you for being kind and understanding. I may have thought he wouldnt post it but after he clearly posted something I asked not be posted, my trust for him is gone.

I am still willing to take the picture with my ID and call. But really, whats the point. Everyone has already made up their minds and I've already emailed ebay telling them of this thread and how you people think im a thief because frankly, im worried that people here will attack my store because RiTides here says im Mr Bonder.

I had to when opening more then 1 account with a paypal business account on ebay.

Yeah I have a business account as well. I also have 2 paypals. One in my name, and one in my business name. The personal account I use when I am buying something outside of my business. I still use the same eBay account for buying and selling, I just change the paypal address according to the type of transaction taking place.

Ok that's good for you but for me, I still had to send all that stuff in. At this point i've realized anything I say you guys refute. Im done with this thread. Ive contacted ebay and told them of it. I will also call them direct tomorrow and remind them of this thread and how you guys are linking me to someone else and how im worried people here will take RiTides words as proof and attack my store thinking they are attacking Mr Bonder and not a 57 year old woman.

I wasnt calling your setup into question. I actually hope that you can get this cleared up. I think it would be a real shame for your store to suffer because of someone that you are saying you have no connection to. While I am curious as to why those invoices can't be pictured with a full name I am trying to give the benefit of the doubt to you. IMO showing those full invoices would make a hell of a stride towards clearing your name with Rtides and the rest of the community.

All it takes is a webcam shot, heck if the license is to reflective the. I would gladly take a shot of her holding a couple Forge World bags as long as we can tell she isn't Matt in drag.

For what it is worth, I set up a PayPal account as a non-profit before and all of the proof they required wouldn't have proven anything. You can take pictures of a womans credit card, ID, screen shots, invoices, etc. But without a picture of you all these things are worthless. Do you know why there is a PICTURE on a picture ID? So that you know you are really talking to the owner of that ID. Without a picture of you holding one of your proofs the. We got nothing. I could post every personal piece of anything from my wife, but as soon as I pose in front of the camera with the proof the show is up.

If you would have never replied, things would have probably gone better for you. Walking into Matt's pattern of responding instantly to a post you/he doesn't like is the first flag. We can think what we want, at this point he burden of proof in my mind is on you.

Been lurking in this thread for awhile. I can't help but admit that it is entertaining, although something of this nature should not be considered entertainment, when there are real people posting here who have been scammed. I noticed something over the last few pages that was bothering me and hasn't been pointed out yet.

Lord S. has repeatedly said that she/he can not call right now because she/he has no access to a phone.

Lord S. has used a webcam to take some fuzzy pictures of unreadable invoices, so Lord S. must have access to a computer.

Lord S. has stated a few times, while trying to explain some of her inconsistencies that she is typing on a small touch screen and having problems with it.

So, Lord S., are you posting on your computer? Or on a mobile device with a small touch screen? Or both? And if you are posting on a mobile device with a small touch screen, why can't you use that device to call RiTides?

I'm willing to show him whatever he wants when I have a real digital camera to take clear pictures as my webcam is CRAP. Clearly it is as the pictures are crap. RiTides told me to FAX my ID which I agreed after I offered. Within 30 minutes he wanted me to call, get on cam, hold the ID, prove I dont recast and everything else.

He definitely wouldn't post something as private as that, the thing he did post i believe to have been a necessary evil. Put yourself in the victims shoes for a second, and RiTides since he is investigating on their behalf. They don't know if you are MB or not. If you are MB and you are trying to keep some 'excuses' out of the public domain then there is a serious risk of crossed wires and underhandedness. Believe you me, i've seen that simple act participate in toppling a small forum. If RiTides isn't certain of the information you will eventually provide he would have to ask someone for clarification, i'm sure the two of you could agree on who that would be, maybe a MOD or even Admin. Overall less people will see you than a short trip to the shops, no one will be judging you either, they'll be professionally scrutinizing the details provided.
Ri Tides, is merely trying to prove you AREN'T the scumbag in question. At which point your name is cleared and the victims get a little bit closer to getting what they are owed. The quicker you can do this the better it is for you and them. My suggestion is to arrange a time very soon when you will call/skype whatever with RiTides and when you will send him the pictures. Once you have proved your not MB, that's it, you may even see a short term boost in popularity to your ebay store since you will have got some publicity.

IP Relay wouldn't be my voice would it? It wouldn't prove anything to RiTides. IP relay is used to call my son sometimes to tell him to get food or run an errand if hes out. Or simply to say hi.

Ive told RiTides ill call him and to him its not fast enough so that means 'm Mr Bonder to him and what seems like 90% of you.

Thank you for being kind and understanding. I may have thought he wouldnt post it but after he clearly posted something I asked not be posted, my trust for him is gone.

I am still willing to take the picture with my ID and call. But really, whats the point. Everyone has already made up their minds and I've already emailed ebay telling them of this thread and how you people think im a thief because frankly, im worried that people here will attack my store because RiTides here says im Mr Bonder.

He definitely wouldn't post something as private as that, the thing he did post i believe to have been a necessary evil. Put yourself in the victims shoes for a second, and RiTides since he is investigating on their behalf. They don't know if you are MB or not. If you are MB and you are trying to keep some 'excuses' out of the public domain then there is a serious risk of crossed wires and underhandedness. Believe you me, i've seen that simple act participate in toppling a small forum. If RiTides isn't certain of the information you will eventually provide he would have to ask someone for clarification, i'm sure the two of you could agree on who that would be, maybe a MOD or even Admin. Overall less people will see you than a short trip to the shops, no one will be judging you either, they'll be professionally scrutinizing the details provided.
Ri Tides, is merely trying to prove you AREN'T the scumbag in question. At which point your name is cleared and the victims get a little bit closer to getting what they are owed. The quicker you can do this the better it is for you and them. My suggestion is to arrange a time very soon when you will call/skype whatever with RiTides and when you will send him the pictures. Once you have proved your not MB, that's it, you may even see a short term boost in popularity to your ebay store since you will have got some publicity.

That right there Mr Lewis is why I offered to send a copy of my DL to RiTides before he even asked. We arranged a time and he gave me the number. Now he changes what he wants and is mad I cant do it as fast as hed like. I will call the second I have a phone to use. He can hear im a woman and quiz me all he wants. I will also take the picture of my ID AND me holding it.

Like ive said, I will do that tonight, in the next few hours once my son is home.

cmon, let's cut the BS, I don't know Matt bonder or would want to but I definately know this isn't a woman. The language is all off, and a mother wouldn't get her son's age wrong on an email because those things are important to them, especially one who is elderly and is doing all this to help out her sons hobby.

In the world of writing, it is very difficult for a man to write in a feminine tone, and it's much easier for a woman to write in a masculine tone. This is a prime example of the former, plain as day. A retired woman who has some knowledge of the internet and business, as well as who works for a local church would not have grammar issues such as what has been presented here.

What further validates this is the length in which the man-woman has gone to defend itself... this just simply doesn't happen in the real world, why would an elderly, church going woman care about what a few people think on a website as her ebay feedback says enough to validate her business. Why push the issue to such lengths?

I can't help but to think a full picture of those FW invoices would have saved you a car trip.

I just posted the requested proof and Mr Ct Gamer already called me Matt. Even with a picture of me holding my ID that has the same info as my ebay and paypal. I also called RiTides and based on his comment here, he didnt pick up because he thought I was Mr Bonder?

I too cant find anywhere in that link the guy posted that shows my store. That's why i've asked now over 10 times for someone to show me proof that my store and Mr Bonder are linked. No one has and no one can because I don't even know the person! All I know of him is from this thread!

Based on the DL, Ms. Beasley was born in a year that ends in a 2 (I believe February of '52 but I'm not 100% on that). I don't think it is mathematically possible for her to be 57 as previously claimed.

I appreciate it. Hopefully that will convince some people to what I believe is the truth.

While the original photos were taken by a non-camera source, most likely a webcam as the quality is about on par with the one I use to talk to Alf, Warone, and Chowder with. The new batch was taken with an Olympus FE190/X750.

Well, it is one more lie/false statement/whatever you want to call in a string of statements that contradicted each other. Unfortunately, these mean nothing to me, since you had to buy the time to take them and refused to do any of these things (call, take a pic, etc) this morning. I have no doubt that Susan is real, and pictured here (I've said this a number of times). Ebay and Paypal are too good for that to happen. I just don't believe that that's the person typing these posts.

No one's going to be convinced further either way, as far as I can tell- but at least the evidence is out there for people to make their own determination, whichever way they see it (I respect Cyporiean a lot, and we just see this differently).

My point, though, is that Susan being a genuine person doesn't prove anything at this point. If you go back in the thread, the issue is that the person posting here wasn't Susan- shown by their taking all kinds of pics with a web cam, but being unable to take one of their license, or of themselves, or to call until later... presumably when Susan could show up. That's my opinion...

The phrases you've used, as I posted, are identical to those I received from "Matt" and "Damien" via email. Particularly "Are you drunk or high?". A favorite refrain of Matt's, that I haven't had anyone else ever use with me...

It's a shame this got so drama-filled, but a scammer using multiple identities will do that... it's hard to track down the truth, and for my part, you didn't convince me. I won't go on about it, but I figured I would post since you put this all in the thread.
