''This is Devestator brother Rephosus we are engaged by the eldar. The eldar have captured our devestator sergeant segari. I have obtained a data slate containing the layout of their base it is in the possesion of our commander at the moment.
We request support we are under heavy attack.''

After closing the fox i fire a frag missile at 3 jetbikers 2 of em go up in flames.

The one of the craft, a Falcon, spun in place and a ramp dropped. 5 Howling Banshees leapt out of the craft, their sonic shriek momentarily stunning the Terminators. "Mine!" Marius shouted over the vox. "Knights of the Basilisk, take aim." he ordered "Rapid Fire!". The Basilisks poured fire into the Banshees dropping all but the Exarch in a hail of bullets. The Exarch charged the Terminators, only to find herself impaled on the claw of Captain Dreph who had recovered faster than she expected.

Aloysus charged forwards, priming a krak grenade. The Falcon began to rise and make an escape but Marius threw the grenade through the closing rear hatch. There was a muffled CRUMP as the grenade exploded inside the Falcon and it dug its nose into the ground, digging a trench before coming to a halt.

Marius grinned. "I told you I was going to force feed the pilot a krak grenade."

"Fulgrim! It is an honour, sir! We are currently engaged in enemy contact. One of my men have retrieved a - TZZ - ate. I need to -TZZ - oard the Pride of the Empe - TZZ - to decode th - TZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ..."

"Transmission lost! Damn these witches!"

Dreph planted a bolter shell firmly into the back of a jetbike pilot, driving them to the ground in a plume of fire. Dreph proceeded to try and track down the warlock who led the raid.

Hectoris picked up his sword from where he had dropped it during the Banshees' attack. Had the Captain not intervened he would have been decapitated. He hated owing anyone. It was yet another imperfection, that you could not save yourself. he would have to repay the debt.
Hectoris was forced to shield his eyes as a flash from a teleporterstung his superhuman eyes. When he recovered he saw his counterpart, Lux Cauthian, of the Gilded Thanes, and the 4 Tactical Terminators under his command, spewing death with their assault cannon and stormbolters, smashing foes with Power Gauntlet and Lux's Power Sword, a green counterpart to his own.

"Lux, you old dev-" Another flash of light and Lux was gone. Another 2 fired and two of the new arrivals vanished.

About a hundred metres to their right, 3 large eldar walkers strode towards them, taller than a Terminator, led by a much larger one. Hectoris had only seen Imperial Knights once, when they had fought alongside the Night Lords, and the tallest one seemed a slightly miniturised version. on on shoulder a massive laser shot death at another Terminator of the Thanes. The 3 smaller constructs endd the final of their reinforcements.

"Captain, new targets on the right, 50 metres and closing fast!"

I got assaulted by a lone storm guardian thinking he was lucky because he saw i didn't assault anyone. Luckily just before he attacked i raised my bolt pistol right before his head. and it destroyed it with a single shot.

Hearing the call for reinforcement by the terminator sergeant i took up my missile launcher and shot a krak missile at one of the smaller ones.
The shot penetrated its head and the missile detonated inside its head making a spectacular blow. I decided i should move up to the knights of the basilisk if i risk myself in the open too much it will become too dangerous.

fox open'' commander shoot the small one's they have heavy weapons that can tear a terminator apart with ease.
Also the larger one has fearsome melee capabilities. They are most likely led by a spiritseer its a eldar warlock that enhances their abilities kill him and they will become slower and weaker. ''

Rephosus moved to join Aloysus's squad. "Basilisks, provide covering fire for Rephosus, keep any ground troops off him. Rephosus, aim for the smaller walker. Meltagunner, give me a charge for my combi-melta. We'll see if we can get close enough to melt the big one." Aloysus ordered. "Captain, what is the eta of the Stormbird? Will it get here in time to target the large walker?"

"I have no idea, Aloysus. The witches are blocking our communications."

Dreph springs up, throwing about his bolter trying to hit the Spiritseer. One of the smaller walkers hits him with it's weapon, however.

Dreph was shot back onto the floor, his armour slicked with blood and his body crippled. He felt pain and suffering, but most of all he felt shame. He had let down the 9th company, the Phoenician and the Emperor himself.

Hectoris was beside his Captain in an instant, shielding him with his Stormshield, hacking at the Green armoured Eldar in his way, their Chainswords ricocheting off his armour. One of the jaded Watch picked up the Captain, and joged as quickly as he could to the now smoking wreckage of the rhino.

Croching in the shadow of the wreckage, they heard the Captain speak. What he said was inaudible through the helmet.

"Get his helmet of, "Caecilius ordered. "You 3, keep fighting.
Captain!"

The blade came from nowhere, slicing through the centre of the rhino. It passed just inches from the Captain and would have killed his brother Terminator had he not thrown his shield up. Then the Rhino was picked up and flung away by the Largest of the Eldar monsters. A small female stood beind, clutching a spear that appeared to be made of bone, send bolts of fire and lightning from her finger tips at the melee around them.

"Get the Captain to safety!" ordered the now, extremely pissed off Terminator Sergeant.

He turned to face the Eldar Wraithlord Its masive blade came down, missing Hectoris by a hair's bredth. He charged past it, aim a massive slash at its shin. The blade struck the construct with a resounding clang, leaving not a scratch on the Wraithbone limbs. He struck again with equal effect.

"Hectoris, look!" came someone's voice. he couldn't identify who as he still had no helmet or vox.

And look he did. There in the sky was their extraction. yhe mighty Warhawk Gunhip flew through the air towards them, bombarding the Eldar forces with thousands upon thousands of bolter shells and lascannon bursts.

A blue blur across his vision and a explosion of blue energy on the Stormbird were all he saw before the gunship struck the ground and came crashing towards them.

Segari felt groggy. He was still restrained but to what he didn't exactly know. He fell in and out of the world. In his dreams the demon manifested into a screeching serpeant creature, always chasing him, trying to embrace him with it's fangs. Once again Segari came to.

He was suddenly dropped, dumped from the ramp of some design of skimmer. Not fully awake he rolled onto his side trying to stand up. A foot crashed into his shoulder pinning him to the ground.
"Careful with the possesed one" said the familar womans voice.
"What of the others?" said the eldar pinning him.
"They are of no importance to the string of fate"
With that the two marines that were guarding Apollus in the forest were brought foward on there knees. The guards behind them stepped foward. The prisoners heads hit the ground before Segari even saw their swords drawn. Sergeant Apollus' anger could not be retained, breaking from his bonds he turned to enact his vengence.
"Remember your fate marine, your future is what keeps you alive...."
With that the Seer and her entourage disappeared in a clap of thunder and lightning. Segari collected the bodies of his fallen brothers dragging them behind himself, heading to the only bearing he could find. The sound of battle in the distance.

OOC: castiel you continue with it and if it works also the shooting of the missile happens in your turn to speed it up

Sergeant hectoris i got a plan to eliminate the large walker.

Take all the melta charges you have and convert em to a sticky charge, i will also put a heat projector on it.

Now the plan is you throw it to the the walker. I will activate the heat projector and i will fire a special heatseaking krak missile. The explosion from the krak will detonate the melta's and the mixed fire power will almost certainly destroy it completely.

OOC: Just a quick question, exactly what planet are we fighting on? And why?

"Damnit!" Aloysus yelled as he saw the captain fall. He started towards the captain to help protect him. He heard a shout behind him, and turned just in time to see the Stormbird hit the deck. "DAMNIT!" he shouted. Their best shot at taking out the large walker was gone. He stood stunned, they were in serious trouble. The large walker moved towards them, spitting fire. The vox crackled, it was Rephosus "Sgt Aloysus, I've got a plan to eliminate the large walker." Marius listened. "That just might work, Rephosus. Meltagunner, give me your remaining ammo. Basilisks, provide me with covering fire, clear me a path. Rephosus, keep your head down until I shout." he ordered. Recieving the melta ammo he prepared to charge.

"Lets do this!" he said. Standing up he sprinted towards the large walker. Eldar warriors ran towards him, or took aim at him, but precise bolter fire cut them down. Heavier fire began to come in, blasts and shurikens cutting the air around him and stitching the ground at his feet. He pressed on. A warrior stepped into his path, bearing a whirring chainblade. Aloysus shot him in the face and barged his body aside. He was through! The large walker swung its sword towards him. He ducked and rolled under its swing and threw the melta charge at it as he rose. "Rephosus, now!" he shouted through the vox as he continued his charge, right under the legs of the walker.

He heard the missile launch, and ran faster.

Segari was in the deset plains now. Still dragging one of the corpses. The other had been taken by an enourmous creature local to the planet, known as Tokrok, a bipedal reptile with a fearsome row of teeth. He had managed to collect the the remains of the decimated marine in a hope that the geneseed would be salvaged from it. He continued dragging with a stretcher fashioned from palms of native trees. He had reached the edge of the battle.

He accidently stumbled upon the eldar reinforcements. They stopped, quickly raising there xeno tech arsenal at the sergeant. To his suprise they lowered there weapons, silently returning into a nearby craft which sped away from the battle. He entered deep into the battle zone, the eldar forces parting their way for him. They began to fall back, surely such an alien army would crush any small size his company could muster?

He finally reached the centre of the action. Some of the eldar had continued engaging the marines as a screen for their tactical retreat.

Herctoris hackeed with his blade at the Banshee in front of him, which nimbly flipped out of the way and brought its powerblade down towards him, aiming for his unarmoured cranium. One of his brother Terminators parried with their Storm Shield, and the Banshees were cut down by a hail of fire from the Basilisks.

Many of the Eldar were being cut down by the Stormbird. The Eldar flyer which had, thankfully, only damaged its thrusters, had done next to no damage to the weapons and huill, meaning the gunship was still very much a threat to those in front of it. The Eldar had seen this too, and had sent some Fire Dragons Aspect Warriors, easily identified by their bright orange armour and yellow helmets. Aspect Warriors were the Eldar's elite soldiers and this particular branch toted weapons of untold fiery destruction. Mainly melta basded weapons, and although the thermal resisitant ceramite of the Warhawk should protect it morethan a rhino or Land Raider, it wa still at deadly risk to the Stormbird. With there Wraithlord dead, destroyed moments ago by melta exlosions caused by Marius working in conjunction with the Devastator of the Archers of the Rayven, the Fire Draogns, and the last of the Wraithguard, were the only threats to the functional gunship, unless those flyers came back. He and his squad were still standing guard over the bdy of the wounded Captain Kalar, so they were not able to deal with it.

"Marius, there are some melta troopers approaching the Stormbird's right flank! See to it they know what it means to shoot someone in the back, especially a mighty implement of the Emperor's Children!"

The explosion was spectacular it was so large it took out one of the 2 remaining wraithguard. and the spirit seer flew back and was knocked unconscious. The wraithlord himself was practically obliterated you could only see one of its hands left.

The vox channel suddenly opened it was from the terminator sergeant. '' A group of fire dragons are approaching the stormbird take em down.'' I took one of my last frag missiles and shot it at them. But i wasn't as lucky as i hoped i only took out 2 of the 5. With my bolt pistol i killed another one but i was almost out of ammo.

But far away from one of the dunes i saw a lone figure approaching. An astartes of the emperors children legion it couldnt be was it the sergeant?

Marius picked himself up out of the dirt where the explosion had thrown him. Nearby he spied the spiritseer, knocked unconcious by the blast. A quick round from his bolt pistol ended its threat permanently. Surveying the situation he noticed a lone Emperor's Child approaching through the Eldar lines. The Eldar allowed him through and fell back, without challenging him. Aloysus felt a sick feeling in his gut, something was not right here..

His vox bead crackled. It was Hectoris "Marius, there are some melta troopers approaching the Stormbird's right flank! See to it they know what it means to shoot someone in the back, especially a mighty implement of the Emperor's Children!". Putting the lone Astartes from his mind he turned to see two Fire Dragons go down to a frag missile. "Basilisks, finish them." he ordered. The last Fire Dragons fell to disciplined bolter fire.

"The Captain!" Marius remembered.He turned and sprinted back to the Rhino. "Captain, what are your injuries?"

Segari struggled the last few dunes, barely finding his grip. The voice in his head, as if sensing his already weakened state, screamed louder than ever before. Every step was as if he had taken a million.

The screams sometimes turned into whispers, as if the demon had matured. The whispers promised of fame, glory, untold riches. It's promises fell upon deaf ears. Segari would never grant the demon's one and only wish. The demon grew outraged at Segari's integrity, further punishing his mind with pulses of crippling pain.

Segari fought on, seeing his brothers in the distance gave him great strength. Enough strength to reach the top of the sand, only to fall victim to his bodies rejection to go on. He grew weak, emptying his stomach out of his mouth. Delerious he crumpled onto the ground rolling down the hill with his fallen brother rolling beside him. Segari slept a deep sleep.

The Eldar were gone. Those not dead had slipped away without notice. They were not in retreat, just a withdrawal. His intuition told him so.

Hectoris turned to Aloysus, who was operating frantically on the wounded Captain.
"How is he doc?"

The eldar withdrawed seeing the tactic in their withdrawal i felt ashamed that they didnt think of us worthy enough to keep on fighting. But there where more important things going on.

I saw him i was sure of it it was sergeant segari, He stumbled off the dunes i dropped my missile launcher and sprinted to him. I took off his helmet and scanned his body i didnt spot any serious wounds i accepted the fact that he wasn't wounded physically except of exhaustion. But i was sure something else was wrong. I grabbed him and dragged him to the captains position. Sergeant's i have retrieved sergeant segari he isn't wounded physically except for some exhaustion.

Aloysus looked at the Captain and Segari. Both were stable, but without the Captain's guiding hand he feared for their mission. "Hectoris. Walk with me." he told his fellow Sergeant.

"How shall we proceed, Hectoris?" he asked "We haven't the transport to reach the fort quickly, and unless they can continue walking the Captain and Segari are going to slow us down. Also, I fear for Segari. There is something not right with him. He has been acting strangely since his injury. Also, he walked right through the Eldar's frontline and they let him through without trying to injure him or recapture him. I suggest that Segari be sent back to the Pride of the Emperor to be examined by the Apothecarium, Reclusiam and Librarium to ensure he is sound of mind and body. The captain too if his wound is too serious. The rest of us must press on on foot as fast as possible. That fort is running out of time."

OOC: I'm unconcious for the moment, meaning skip all my turns.

"Marius, my, friend, I don't know. but until our Captain recovers, I will be taking command. I know you are skilled in the ways of leadership, but as you said yourself, twe have a strict ranking order. I don not wish to undermine our traditions, the men are shaking enough. I hope you will help guide me in our actions.
First thing's first, let's wake the Techmarine ploting that Stormbird. he was knoked out on impact. Extract the crew by any means necessary. Ask the Techmarine what can be salvaged and have him repair weapons and armour. have your squad search the Gunship for weapons, supplies and ammo."

At that moment the Griffen Brethren pulled up in their rhino. The Sergeant got out.

"Sgt Hectoris we ran into some Ork trouble. Their Warboss was eliminated and we sent them in full retreat. We heard the Eldar attack. Commander Eidolon managed to contact us long enough to ask for a full sitrep. He has demanded Captain Kalar contact him at once. Lord Fulrim wants to speak to him personally.

"Very good Sgt. Captain Kalar is wounded so I will be taking charge. take set up a perimeter around the gunship. Tell the watch to begin constructing barricades from the wrecked rhino around the crashed gunship. The Techmarine will supervise once he is awake."

"And what about the Lord Fulgrim and Lord Commander Eidolon, sir?"

"Its Sergeant. Tell Lord Fulgrim that the Captain is not availible."


OOC: I will be unavailible for a few hours as I am my martial arts class. Assume I am overseeing ther commands I have posted and write my speech if needed.

Sergeant´s i want apply for helping the techmarine with the construction and repairs of the dropship and the defences.
I think that if i look around i can find some servitors who can help tend to the wounded machine spirit of the stormbird.

The only problem is i am practically out of missiles and bolt ammo i need some extra supplies if i want to do some damage when they return.

"Don't worry, Hectoris. The seniority is yours, and so is command. I will give you what advice I can, and obey your orders." Aloysus replied. He slapped Hectoris' pauldron and walked away to over see the rescue of those in the Stormbird.

"Awake"
Segari lifted his head. He certainly had not awoke. He was trapped in the same hellish nightmare of his previous dream. An oceanic world, towers risen from the deep, a war raging on the platforms as waves crash upon them.The voice manifested itself in front of him. A serpeant body with scales magniciantly shining, smooth and delicate were the movements of arising from the ground. The serpent body produced a human torso, covered in the same beautiful scales that were studded with gems and precious stones. A female face formed on a slim neck, stunningly beautiful with long flowing hair that appeared to have life of its own. Everything about her spoke of beauty, flawless... perfection.

"What are you...?" Segari nearly stuttered his words. He could not beleive what he was seeing. Emotions thought forgotten re-emerged from within, flooding his engineered mind like a tidal wave.
"Be at ease young one" she almost hissed the words."I do not wish to harm you."
"But the screams....the cries?"
"You merely witnessed my birth, my incarnation within your very soul" she moved around him, seemingly without effort."I have binded to you Apollus, I share every thought, every wim of your desire, your desire to be perfect, yesss?"
Segari was ashamed that such a vile creature had tainted his very heart. Yet in ways he had no choice. His mind was torn in two, one side faithful to his brothers, but the other screamed the loudest wishing for freedom and unbounded fulfillment.
"Yes..." He seemed to blurt out the word. He could not believe he had broke so easily.
"Then come with me my sss-uffering one" She gently felt his face with her sharp and flawless nails. "I wish to free your mind of shackles, and show you the edge of excesssss..."

I walk up to the stormbird seeing the techmarine laid down on a makeshift bed.

I search the tech area of the ship for a the servitor storage bays.
I find it.
The damage disabled the door so i have to tend to it first. I begin singing a hymn to the machine spirit and oil up the insides so the workings wont do worse. After a while it actually works the servitors go stand before me and with a nostalgic machine like voice say ´´My lord what do you request.´´ I send 3 of the 5 to begin repairing the ship and 2 of em to assist in building the camp and the perimeter.

After that i return to the tech marine i see he is wounded so i decide im gonna let him rest for a while.

vox channel open´´Sergeant i have activated the servitors. 2 of them are underway to you to assist in building the camp and the defences. The other 3 are here working on getting the ship operational. the techmarine is wounded so i decided i let him rest for a while.´´

IC: Dreph opened his eyes. The haziness cleared from his eyes soon, and he focused on where he was. He could remember fighting the Eldar...

As he looked around it became more and more apparent all was not well. Strange equipment lined the room, the gentle humming of the Pride of the Emperor's engines breaking up the awkward silence. Graphs and charts were strewn around the bed. 10 minutes later Fabius Bile walked in with 2 other Apothecaries.

"Greetings Dreph. We have no time to waste..."

Hectoris stood on the hill, watching the construction of the camp. The Techmarine pilot was still unconcious, as was Dreph Kalar and Apollus Segari. The former seemed to be resting easy. Though the Sergeant of Rayven Squad was attacked by fits of bad dreams.

He had sent Griffons squad on a scouting run around the perimster. Their rhino as acting as a med bay.

He had found a stash of heavy weapons, including a magnificent lascannon and several heavy bolters and spare ammo for them, in the Stormbird's armoury bay.

Munitions were low. Weapons and armour were damaged. Medical supplies were almost exhausted. Their position was at best, lightly defended. Communications were unable to connect for more than a few moments


"Sgt, sir?" It was one of the Basilisks.
"Yes brother?"
"I found this datapad under some wrechage. It is addressed to Captain Kalar. I thought you would need to see it."
"Thank you."

"Call the marines in. We'll camp here, in the transport bays of the gunship. Set my squad on overwatch. Shift changes every 3hours. Get the Rhino on board the cargo bay, have Sgt Aloysus watch the men."

"Very good sir."

He turned to leave.
"Find me a helmet too."



He opened the datapad. There was a slight hum before it flashed on. There, standing in the bridge of his flagship, was Lord Fulgrim himself.

"My Lord..." He dropped to one knee.

"This is Lord Fulgrim. If this message reaches you then I assume that communications are down and contact is impossible. If Captain Kalar is wounded, or, Emperor forbid,dead, then give this to the currant ranking marine.

There was long pause before he spoke again.

"I have heard of the Eldar in the area. I fear my slaying of their god may be the reason for this attack. If my actions have brought harm to your brothers, my sons, I cannot express my grief. There will be time to grieve when the battle is done. I have a special mission for you, whoever may be viewing this. You and no more than 4 others. Choose your best men. If you accept, hit yes."

"I accept, my Lord." He press yes.

IC: Dreph listened carefully as Bile explained what had led to this. As Dreph slowly remembered the events of the battle, Bile began explaining about his quest for the ultimate marine. He asked Dreph whether he was willing to participate in an "experiment", where he had a modified gene-stock used alongside it. Dreph, his judgement still clouded by the hazy state he was in, accepted Bile's proposal.

Background:Kole has always loved heavy weapons, especially ones that go boom. He was an obvious choice to be promoted to Devastator, before he accidentally detonated a moderately sized ammunition depot on the front lines of a Eldar invasion (The explosion was seen from orbit). After he survived the battle, he was reassigned to the "Knights of the Basilisk" as a Meltagunner which was meant to serve as both punishment (Due to Marius Aloysus' harsh leadership style) and a reward for his skill behind heavy/anti-vehicle weaponry. He is quick to make jokes (while 'Sarge' isn't looking). Many shortcomings are attributed to his unfortunate lack of luck.

The techmarine was a little startled because techmarines and artificers where usually outcasted because of their affinity for the machine. He spoke with a lovely half mechanical voice. ''Good day brother what is the situation.'' I explained what was going on he then replied ''Brother i thank you for helping repair the ship i will take control of repairing the ship now.''

Vox channel open.''Terminator sergeant i would like to make use of the lascannon. If i have your authorization. I dont want to improvise with our equipment like we did last time. Every time when we meet a armored enemy. Oh yeah and sergeant aloysus i found one of your men strolling around in the ship. He is equipped with a melta so i send him away so he wont accidentally do more damage. ''

IC: Segari's body had been scanned, tested to it's limits in the eyes apothecaries. They could not seem to pin point the exact problem with the sergeant. Little to their knowledge the demon had retreated to the most impenatrable areas of his mind. Whenever he did wake he was barraged with interviews, questioning his faith, his loyalty to the chapter and his mental integrity.

Not once did Segari falter or stumble during this intense line of questioning. A chaplain began to console him, guiding him back onto the right path. Psykers were brought in to delve into him, retrieving the information by force, but nothing was found. Deemed clear of taint, he was diagnosed with mere shock from his sustained wounds.

Personality (Likes, Dislikes, etc):Very Tactical, with a bit of a rowdy streak. Has a very strong dislike for Eldar (Too fluffy for me) and loves to tear Heretics apart to show extra faith to the emperor.

Background: Magnus had first been called into the 9th company as a sniper/scout and was known as the "Last Space Cowboy" but after a mission where he had to sit and basically watch the entire brutal murder of a city so that he could report his findings to the company he decided to apply for a more hands on position. After being fitted with his Terminator Armor Magnus felt that he would be able to make more of a difference in the name of the Emperor. Even with the heavy armor, people have remarked that Magnus still seems to retain a good bit of his scout habits and has been known to "draw" his bolter on enemies who have made complete eye contact with him.

Sergent Antioch, head of the Griffin Brethren, he was elevated to sergent after the previous one fell in battle during a large crusade against an ork held world, he immediately took command of the squad and dealt a severe blow to the Orks when they destroyed a convoy of trukks carrying reinforcements behind enemy lines. He then pulled them out without further casualties. In memory of this victory, he took the name Antioch, meaning stubborn or resistant, the attack he made helped the forces of the Emperors Children get a foothold with which to push the Orks back. His hatred off orks is greater than that of other Xenos, or even heretics, as the loss of his former Sergent, mentor, and friend still pains him. He is quite familiar with Ork tactics and command structure, and has proven to be a very valuable asset further in campaigns against them.

After delivering the message the message to Sergent Hectoris, Antioch returned to the Rhino. He opened the vehicles communications to command vox channels.
"This is Griffin squad, Orders?"
The reply came through instantly.
"Stand by to assist local command units, receive your orders directly."
Antioch opened his vox to all local channels, awaiting further command.

Segari returned to the surface. His drop pod crashing into the ground near his company's defensive position. With two initiates newly promoted to fully fledged marines, they were to temporarily fill in his squad. He made his way into the camp, trying to find out who was their new commander.

" So is the Captain going to be able to fight?"
"No, not et, sai d the Apothecary, Fabius. "He will be fine in a few days, but this mission, which you still won't speak of-"
"By order of Lord Fulgrim himself!"
"Regardless, he won't be able to complete the mission. I suggest you take someone else. Segeri will be fine too, as will the Techmarine, but keep an eye on them. My collegues and I will remain here for a time to asist the wounded and generally take command."
"very well. Now leave."


Hectoris turned to his second in command of the Watch.
"Malvarian, summon Sgts Aloysus, Segari, Antioch, and Brother Rephosus and bring them ere, along with yourself and Madeye of the Knights of the Basilisk. Tell them we have a priority mission, and to speak to no one."

"Sergeant Hectoris!" Segari saw the sergeant by the makeshift command centre. "Good to see you again brother"
They both grasped one anothers armoured fists.
"I hear you have some work for me?"

9th Company OOC Thread

Aloysus arrived at the war council. "Hectoris, what is this special mission you speak of? What is happening with the defence of the fort?"

Hearing the vox chatter, Antioch concluded that a war council of some kind. He stepped off his Rhino and strode toward the meeting place. Approching Aloysus he said warmly "Greetings, Brother Sergent" and went to join the council.

Dreph stirred from his slumber. It had been 3 days since Bile's procedure, and the only signs of the attack was a scarred burn that streaked from his chest to his shoulder.

Today was the day that he went back onto the surface of Cesavon. His brothers were waiting on the surface.

He equipped his armour. He slipped on his Lightning Claw and holstered his Bolter. He stepped into the teleporter, and disappeared in a flash of light.

Segari shifted nervously in his armour. Gathered around his brothers again was a joyous feeling. But he knew that some within his chapter felt differently about him. They had all seen the xenos give mercy to him and were wary of the testing he had undertaken. Still he would not let it deter him. Standing amongst his brothers waiting for a briefing, he felt at peace. Not even the demon stirring inside him could ruin it.

"Brothers. I have called you here because of, as I am sure you are aware, a special mission has been brought to the front. One of the watch found a datapad in a secure cargo carrier on the Stormbird. The datapad was a recording from our Lord Fulgrim. In the video he detailed a strictly secret mission for 5 people.he told the viewer, propbably intended for the Captain, to meet with an Eldar renegade. The traitor had snuck into Fulgrim's private chambers undetected. It told him it knew how to find the Eldar base of Opserations and has instructed us to take a small elite force of 5, to meet the envoy and perform a surgical strike intended to destroy the eldar here in one blow. This mission is top priority. "

He paused before continuing.

"With Captain Kalar out of action for the time being, though I am sure he will be recovered before we get back, it has fallen to me to lead this mission. Sgts Segari, Aloysus and Antioch will come with me along with brother Rephosus. Brother Malvarian and Markus will remain here to lead us and keep an eye on things untill Captain kalar is back. Even then, keep an eye on him. If he should fall, I expect the two of you tolead our brothers in his stead. Also, I want the two of you to ensure Fabius Bile does not operate on anyone unless it is necessary. get the other two Apothecaries if needed. I don't trust him.

Now then, those of you I have enlisted, go to the forest line and wait there. I will be along in a moment. We depart through the forest immediately. Magnus and Madeye, head back to the camp and oversee repairs. Give this datapad," He handed over the datapad, " to the Captain when he returns. Brief him on events since his injury."

He beat his fist upon the Aquila on his breast. Those gathered in front of him did the same, and broke for their designated positions.

"I don't think Segari is himself. Maybe he is just recovering, but keep an eye on him, don't leave him alone. Now let's go before they wonder what's keeping us."

With that, he placed his new helmet on, his third in the last 2 days, and fololowed the rest of his Kill team.

As he stepped on to the gunship giving transport to the kill team, Antioch admired his curved power sword. It was more than just a weapon, though it was a fine specimen for that role. It was a symbol of perfection. Guided by the Holy Emperor, saviour of Mankind, it was an instrument of his will. The blade, and the soldier who used it were a symbol of the perfection of the Emperor's Children, Fulgrim their Primarch and father, and the Emperor himself. Antioch reminded himself never to let this perfection become flawed. He was a symbol of perfection, his holy bolter was the Emperors delivering words, and the sounds of his sword piercing the air was his holy retribution. He was a Space Marine, a son of the Emperor, he was perfection.

I was walking to the treeline with sergeant segari.

After having heard he was chosen for the operation he was quite happy because it seemed he had won the terminator sergeant's thrust.

''Sergeant what happend in your dreams? When i laid you in the rhino you where mumbling in your sleep. I couldn't make the words out but it sounded something is troubling you just so you know even if i am just a battle brother we are both reyvan squad members so i will always have your back.''

As Kalar teleported onto the planet surface, he was met by Markus. As he explained the plans of Hectoris, he opened up his Vox.

"Hectoris, this is Dreph Kalar. I have recently had Bile perform a gene-seed implant on me. I need details on the content of the Dataslate. I also wish that Segari be kept under surveillance. I sense unearthly powers afoot..."

"I will keep a close watch on him, Hectoris, do not fear on that count. I do not like this mission though. It is not that I doubt the Phoenician, it is that I mistrust these Eldar xenos. They are fickle and not trustworthy. I fear a trap. We should be vigilant and proceed with extreme caution." Aloysus looked him up and down "You aren't bringing that lumbering great suit on a mission that requires stealth and speed are you?" he asked.

Segari leaned back a little in his seat.

Rephosus was wondering why sergeant segari didnt speak a single word maybe he was troubled with something. I took out one of my rations and gave it to the sergeant while muching on another one.

I started talking. ´´You know sergeant you are the first person to have ever taking responsibility over me. Ever since the day i was born i was forced to live on my own. When i was picked up by the astartes and accepted i was put in training camp. My teacher every now and then gave me a bolt shell to the foot to make me tough. Uou see this mechanical eye? By real eye was blown off by shrapnell from on of the frag grenades my teacher threw at me every now and then. To make me prepared. And then i was serving as a scout i never was accepted by my squad mates so i was always acting as a lone wolf. Before the whole squad deployed i was send forward to snipe off enemy patrols. But when they came they shoved me away and just acted like i did nothing. And then came the day that i was chosen to serve as a tactical marine to serve along side the archers of the reyven devastators it was a huge honour. Back then you just saw me as one of those guys that come and go. But that day we got ambushed by the orks it was the first time someone watched out for me i was so happy. And then the grenade accident came i know it was my mistake and i want to apologize after everything you did for me i negated your orders and threw the grenade. Actually i am still ashamed of it until this day. Sergeant segari would you forgive me for disobeying your orders?´´

Aloysus made a trip to collect supplies from the Stormbird. He restocked his ammo and grenades before heading to the tree line to await the mission start. He found Segari talking to Rephosus and settled himself nearby, listening to what they were saying and observing Segari's actions. If there was anything amiss with Segari on this mission he would notice it. He hoped nothing was wrong with Segri as the Apothecaries, Librarians and Chaplians claimed.

Sheathing his sword, Antioch strode toward Aloysus. He sat near to him and said "I see that you are deep in thought, Brother, is something troubling you?

Dreph came up to the rest of the marines under his command. After calming himself and settling down, he heard a eerie whistle. A streamlined fragment of wraithbone came up in the distance.

"Duck!"

A hail of glittering silver razors sliced the air above them. A group of skimmers flew overhead, screaming. Several marines were caught in the crossfire and struck down by the shruikens.

"All is forgiven Rophosus, infact if anything I am proud of your battle prowess and glad to have you as a brother" Segari gave the rookie a good punch in the pauldron.

Suddenly the air screeched overhead, aircraft streaking across their lines.

Segari brought up his heavy bolter. He gave the area in above him a sporadic spray of fire hoping to hit the speeding targets.

"Rophosus light up the sky!"

Following the orders of sergeant segari but slightly disappointed that he didn´t give any answer or explanation or even the smallest bit of interest.

I got one of my frag missiles and shot at the unseen enemy. The frag exploded and the 2 of the skimmers got blown up and descended to the ground like meteorites falling from the stars.

"There is, Antioch. Hectoris and I are worried about Segari. HE hasn't been the same since he was wounded. Its subtle, but there is something....different about him." Aloysus replied.

Just then a whistling sound split the air and several Eldar skimmers flew past, close overhead, spraying the downed Stormbird with fire. The three sergeants were on their feet in an instant, with Rephosus close behind. Segari opened fire on the skimmers, ordering Rephosus to do the same. "Segari, stop!" Aloysus shouted as Rephosus let off a missile. They both stopped and turned to face Aloysus. "Why? These xenos need to die!" exclaimed Rephosus. "Aye, lad, they do, and the Captain will see to that. However, we have our own mission, given to us by the Primarch himself! We cannot afford to attract the attention of the Eldar and risk being wounded or killed. It suits us better to slip away unnoticed. We move back into the forest. We'll meet up with Hectoris and continue with our mission. The Captain will send the Eldar packing."

Marius opened a vox link to Hectoris. "We are taking cover in the forest, the Phoenician's mission takes priority now. We shall meet with you and slip away during the conflict. Keep in touch."

As he ran into the forest with the other 3 marines, he opened vox channels to warn his squad of the incoming Eldar, moments later, Antioch saw the gunship lift off an bring down the third skimmer. He knew the Eldar would press more of an attack soon, and he hoped that their battle brothers were ready. He drew his sword and bolter, and prepared for whatever he might face in the trees ahead.

Dreph fired his bolter, striking several of the pilots dead. He jumped and grabbed one of the skimmers, climbing upon it and cutting the pilot apart with ease.

He moved around with uncanny agility, acting as though the armour he wore was non-existent. He was outspeeding the Xenos by far, able to destroy a craft within a few seconds.

Soon the Eldar fled. Dreph tried to persue them, but he soon collapsed unconscious. He came into a strange area, and ahead of him was a serpentine creature. He tried to escape, but was unable. The creature started talking smoothly...

"Antioch, take over while I don my armour" he had changed out of it when he had entered the Storm Eagle, a small gunship silmilar to a Thunderhawk, only smaller. 2 Racks of anti personnel missiles lined its hull and a Twin Linkled Multimelta rotated in its nose. 4 Lascannons were mounted underi its wings.

Soon he was dressed and armoured for abttle. "Take us down in that clearing, pointing out his intended destination. Sgt Antioch took the ship down and landed. Hectoris strode forcefully into the crew cabin, where Rephosus, Aloysus and Segari were sleeping.

"Rise and shine neophytes! Everyone up in 1 minute or I'll have Captain Kalar forcefeed you your Power Armour!" He keicked the leg of the Devastator Sgt as he passed. "Wake UP!" he roared at the top of his voice, causing Aloysus to spring off his chair and fall on his backside, earning a chuckle from the others. "Comer, we must travel on foot from here. 1 kilometer due north. That is where we must meetthe envoy. WE have 2 hours before it arrives and i want to set upsome crossfires should we be ambushed or the Eldar try to doublecross us. Segari, are you upfor it?" The sergeant nodded. "Let's move out."

Sergeant´s wait up i brought something whit me incase we needed to sneak. I have 4 camo cloaks with me.

´´I handed out the camo cloaks and switched my missile launcher for a sniper rifle.´´ Alright sergeant´s i will scout ahead and report any sightings i wont engage except when im ordered to.

Aloysus stood from the floor. "Call me a Neophyte again, Hectoris, and I'll kick your arse from here to this Eldar we're meeting." Grumbling he prepared his weapons and armour for battle, before donning the camocloak offered to him.

"Right, lets go talk to the xenos scum."

Running outside as the hail of fire strikes the ground, Magnus does his best to asses the situation and find out how to keep his brethren away from the focused Eldar ship fire.

"Damn Eldar making a mess of my camp, why can't those slim ears mind their own damn business."

He say's while hooking his helmet into place.

"Men looks like the Sergeant is going to be out for a while, so lets get our asses in gear and give those slim ear devils a run for their credits, and I know Fulgrim expects no less then perfection!"



EDIT- Have my SS/TH but also carried the Las Cannon on board and the rounds for that in case we needed to bring a Eldar ship burning to the ground.

Antioch stepped into the Storm Eagle, Magnus, Aloysus, Hectoris, Segari, and Rephosus following him. "Feeling a little cramped back there?" he said, as he climbed into the cockpit area. Hectoris stood near the assault ramp, weapons ready, while Magnus and Rephosus took their heavy weapons to the side door. Segari planted his heavy bolter, ready to fire out the rear hatch, while Aloysus manned the upper missle rack. "Children of the Emperor!" he shouted through the vox, "Death to his foes!" the loud replies rang from all aboard. With that, the team took off, ready to take the fight to the Eldar.


EDIT: We will return to our squads once we complete the Primarchs special mission, everyone mention what gear they carry during their turn.

"Alrite lads. The Eldar is late. Typical of these Xenos. No respect. Alrite. Grab some gear." He flung down the case he was carrying and passed out ammo and a few grenades. He lifted a bolter and chucked it to Rephosus with a "Catch!" The devastator caught it nimbly and loaded a clip.
"Keep that handy. That rifle will do no good once we are inside the complex." He passed a spare Melta charge to Aloysus. After that, he checked his blade was secure and grabbed his shield. He threw the case off into the forest.

"Aloysus, you and Segari take the Northeast section of clearing. Hide in the woods untill the Eldar arrives. Rephosus and Antioch, take the south west corner. Do not let let your selves be seen. I will try to convince the envoy I came alone untill I am certain we can trust it. Cover me. Do not move unless told and do not fire unless on of us is fired upon."

They took up their relative positions, Antioch and Rephosus in the south west, Segari and Aloysus in the Notrth east. The clearing was only about a hundred yards across but an Eldar could move with frightning speed. Meaning it could go from one edge to the other and stab someone before a bead was drawn and it was shot. Hectoris took up position in the center, in full view, and began to practice his sword. he was no swordsmaster, but he was a decent duelist. Being a perfectionst like all of the Legon, and their Primarch, he was determined to prove he was perfect at all manners of war. Whther with a Blade, Hammer, Bolter or as a leader.

After several hours he grew weary. The Eldar was taking an age and he had completed every practise he had been taught. He began to ponder if he really was perfect, as he would like to believe. His face had an ugly scar acros it. He got to his position through opression of his lessers He had justified that by saying that only punishment will bring perfection, for pain teaches fear, and fear is something no Astartes should know. By inflict fear, he had taught those Astartes something they could never experiance in battle. He therefore helped to enhance them and himself.

But was perfection, really, that importantt?

His thoughs wre interupted by a small noise to his left. He turned quickly, drawing his blade. On the edge of the clearing stood the Eldar women. She was tall, and would have been attractive had such things not been beyond a Space marine. She wore little, save a black robe that wrapped her body tightly and covered her mouth. An eldar pistol was held raised in her hand, pointing at Caecilis hectoris.

"Lower your weapon whelp!" She spoe with a fierce yet determined voice, and soft as well, as if whispering.

"You speak to Sgt Caecilius Hectoris of the Emperor's Childrwen, the Legion of Fulgrim! You shall not speak to me that way again Xenos filth or I shall slay you without a moment's hesitation." nevertheless, he sheathed his sword. She lowered her gun and strode towards him.

"I am Hera. Tell your men to stand down or I shall leave and you will never find our base."
"I came alone."
The Eldar woman grew impatient. "Do not take me or my race for a fool Sgt Hectoris.You have 4 soldiers with your, one of which is a sniper and the other mans a heavy automatic weapon. Another carries a gun containing a fusion weapon and a high caliber weapon you use as your standard arnament. They are camped in teams of two using primitive cloaking technologies." She cocked her eyebrow at his slightly stunned face. How could she have foiled his plan? Another imperfection. "Now, Sgt," she continued, "let us away with this silly nonsense and get down to buisness. Shall we?"

"Stand down. Come here. keep your weapons loaded but do not fire. Merely a precaution against attack." he cut the vox chanel. When all of the marine were in the clearing, he said "Let's get down to buisness, eh, Hera?"

Antioch strode into the clearing, gazing at the Eldar witch. As he gazed upon the Xenos filth he saw something he had never seen in a Xenos before. He saw perfection. The angled features of the Eldar physique made the perfect outline, a slim but muscular body, faster than any human, living longer, with more potential. He quickly banished these thoughts from his mind. He knew his thoughts to be heretical, yet still he gazed on the beautiful alien, and didn't forget what he saw.

"Boys pick up those weapons and give the Eldar something to suck on"
He says as he points towards the gun cache and guns in the ship, then using what targeting gear he has in his gear, and the skills of a past sniper. Magnus uses the Las Cannon to try and bring down a Eldar ship or two.

The other Terminators not having anything to smash with their Thunder Hammers begin to try and watch for enemies as the Devastators release their rockets into the flight space of the Eldar ships.

Through the firing a well placed Rocket blows the left wing off of a Eldar ship bringing it to the ground with a loud explosion close to camp. The Terminators seeing the down flyer walk over to dish out their own justice to the remains of the flight crew.

With his eye locking down on a Eldar ship he slices a ship in two hitting some sort of power supply and causing it to blow in mid air, sending pieces of ship flying in all directions. The entire time the sounds of Heavy Bolter fire playing its melodic hum in the background of the battle.

With a grin on his face "Take that you space devil" says Magnus as he begins to lock another ship in his sights!

As the Serpentine creature talked, Dreph felt more and more at ease. As he started to relax, the strange creature tried to make a bargain.

"If you follow my every command, I'll give you perfection..." She hissed.

Dreph became more alert.

"I only serve Fulgrim and the Emperor. I shall not bow down to your wishes!"

"Very well."

The serpent let out an ear-piercing scream, and dozens of purple fleshed monstrosities poured out of nowhere.

As they walked through the undergrowth, Hectoris returned to his thoughts of perfection. How importatnt was it? He was not perfect. His only goal was to slay Xenos and carve the Emperor's realm from the starts. He did that well enough now. But could he do it better if he was perfected. Couldn't he?

He was interrupted by the sound of movement in the treeline. The soldiers were instantly alert and had weapons drawn. Hera had her pistol and a long, curved knife in her hand, ready to fight. They stood for several minutes, weapons raised. Nothing happened.
"Aloysus, go check it out" ordered Hectoris, speaking as quietly as he could in the vox. As Aloysus moved towards the direction of the sound, he stopped at a bush. It was rustling. The grouped aimed at bush. Aloysus kicked it. The occupant scurried out with frieghtning speed.

It was a small lizard. Relieved, the marines lowered their guns, but Hera sent a small metal disc after it with her pistol, the projectile's trajectory curving to slice the lizard in half.
"That was a juvenile Tokrok." She said." They seem small but in a few years they become massive carnivorous predators. Their venom can be spat from several meters and even your armour won't protect you." She checked around the area. "They hunt in packs at this point, usually with their parent at this point. You are familiar with them, aren't you?" she asked, looking towards Segari. He nodded. Hera's look of anxiety quickly turned to disappeasement, as she said, " Let's keep movement." Hera shot Segari a nasty look as she took point.

Hectoris noticed Sgt Antioch looking at the Eldar women with a mix of pride and longing. He gave him a good clout around the head.

"Do not forget what you are Sergeant, or what IT is!" With that he stalked off after the group.

"Why are you helping us, witch?" he demanded. he still did not like this women. Not only was she a traitor to her race but she was willing to help someone who she hated destroy her own. A human would be killed for less.

She stopped, and had her blade at his throat in a flash. Luckily he was wearing a helmet. Ther sound of ocked guns came from behind he as the 4 other marines took aim at her.
"Do not call me a witch, Hectoris! i am not! I was here before your beloeved Fulgrim was created. I was here when your Emperor butchered his way through our lost empire. I was there when your primarch slew The Avatar of Almighty Khaine, the The Bloody Handed God of War! To fell creature so mighty, yet so broken at the same time is to kick a wounded lion. I was there when my people's virtues were extinguished and She Who Thirsts awoke to claim our souls! It already hungers for your legion! I won't have it claim anyone ever again!" She hurled another look at Segari, oe that took even the stoic Hectoris aback with the anger it potrayed. She lowered her blade and continued on. Hectoris and his Killteam followed her to a large opening. The other edge of the forest.

With a roar and a crashing of trees, the enormous Tokrok, exploded out of the forest behind them,leading a wave of at least a dozen juveniles. Hera lept nimbly out of the way, already firing at the smaller beasts and slashing the ones who lept at her.
"Segari, open fire! Rephosus, take cover an aim for its eyes with your rifle! Marius, save those Melta rounds, you and Antioch, help the Eldar!"

The great beast swung its tail, aiming to smash Hectoris from his feet. He raised his shield to protect him as the tail impacted, sending him flying into the air. Segari opened fire with his heavy bolter, aiming for the head and torso. Caecilius was up again, srinting for the beast's ankle, hacking with his blue blade. The Tokrok roared in pain and spat a huge splattering of corrosive phlegm at him. he dodged and hacked again. The beast staggered as Rephosus hit its nostril pit with a well placed shot.

"Keep firing!"

As the horrors poured from the various orifices and crannies of the living terrain, Dreph was slowly becoming slowly weakened. Massive claws and talons struck his armoured hide whilst he swept aside creature after creature. As he made his way towards the serpent, he encountered greater resistance. He could feel the warm taste of blood and hear the ear-piercing shrieks of the twisted and mutated servants of the serpent.

In a last act of courage, he made a surge towards the temptress, cutting her down in a rain of gore and fire. He fell through the floor, waking up as the eyes of Markus looked somberly into his. He had returned.

Segari unleashed a torrent of firepower at the creature. It's armour was too thick, easily absorbing the heavy bolters rounds. Then he noticed something strange on the creature. A makeshift spear lodged in its frontal breast plate. He realised this was the monster he had fought before, defending his brothers bodies.

Segari felt a deep pang of hatred for this beast, dropping his weapon he unsheathed his combat blade, charging the animal wildly, he managed to avoid a sweep of it's enourmous tail, jumping onto its back. He climbed the sharp armoured scales finally reaching its head. With an all mighty thrust of his blade he had lodged it into the creatures eye. It thrashed in pain sending him flying into the scrub.

Astonished by the speed and power of sergeant segari's attack i killed the last of the smaller spawn's before yelling to the witch '' Why didn't you tell us that thing was nearby. Do you want us all to get killed. I new we never should have listened to this eldar.''

Antioch ran toward the Xenos, intent on making himself a wall between her and the beasts. When he reached her he turned and aimed to fire his bolter at the monster. That is when hew saw Segari launch himself up the back of the animal, piercing its eye with his combat knife before being thrown off. He fired a burst off in the creatures direction, then he turned and questioned the Eldar woman, "Did you know they were here!?".

As Dreph was brought up, he was weak. He had had to fight off the serpent with every ounce of strength. However, it had now been forced to the material realm, where it could not call upon it's servants. Dreph staggered to the Strombird, hoisting a Plasma Cannon up into his arms. He needed to find the beast and finish it off forever.

Segari felt a tug in his mind. A flood ensued as the entity was temporarily released from it's fleshy cage. Segari was dazed, most of his energy was drained by the exit of the daemon. In his moment of weakness one of the lesser beasts grappled his arm with it's murderous teeth. Another bit into his leg. He was being pulled and torn like a ragdoll.

I took my bolt pistol and shot the smaller monsters off sergeant segari. After that i shot at the heart of the monster i made a near miss but hit his long so he was chocking because of the shortage of air.

The Eldar surged with light in her eyes, as if she detected a presence that no one else fully could, then it had departed. She looked near Segari, and then it seemed she had dismissed the thought she had previously had, though fear lingered in her eyes.

As the Eldar shrieked overhead, Dreph aimed his Plasma Cannon. He wiped out three in a ball of blue flame, before having to take cover again. As they skimmed overhead, he brought down a pilot with his fist and cut him with his lightning claw.

"Markus, we need support! I can't fight forever!"

Segari's armour poured out steam as if he had walked through an inferno. He groaned and rolled over but was too weak to do anything. Purple lightning occasionally moved up and down his body. He was truly spent from the mental ordeal.

I ran to sergeant segari and shaked him while screaming. ''Sergeant wake up come on now isn't the time to sleep.''

Then i turned to the witch ''Wat did you do with sergeant segari. I saw you looking at him. Reverse it now or i will slice you open without a second thought.''

Antioch stepped in front of Rephosus. "Stand down Devastator, this is not the Xenos's doing. This was caused by a power far greater than a simple Psyker." He said. Antioch drew his sword and stepped boldly between the Eldar and the young marine. "This Xenos still may be of use to us, we shall not kill her."

Markus ordered return fire. A missile screamed and exploded one Jetbike, whilst several overs were caught in a great belch of flame.

"Keep it up, I have my own agenda to attend to!"

With that, Dreph ran into the dark, Plasma Cannon in arms.

As the slithering purple beast cleared from Segaris body, a pair of the smallest Tokroks, who ahd been hiding in the bush, grabbed him in their jaws and tossed him off the back of the Great Tokrok. As he fell the creature, the Daemon lept at the likewise airbourne lizards, cutting them apart with her claws. Massive Crab claws that should have been her hands.

With all of the juveniles dead, Aloysus and Antioch switched target to the parent, who, now blinded between Segari's blade and Rephosus's rifle, was thrashing widliy, knocking over trees.

The Eldar women, Hera, was not.Instead, she was firing upon the Daemon, who even then was dodging out of the way with imposible speed.
Not dodging. Moving. She was vanishing with astonishing speed, moving faster than light and with no or little effort. A roar came from the beast as it slumped away into the forest.

The marines gathered to watch the two women, Eldar and Daemon, duel. Hectoris wasn't going to let it. Picking p Segari's heavy bolter from where he dropped it, and began firing one handed at the Daemon, who dodged each one with lightning speed. he stopped firing, as the the only way to klill it, evidently, was with a blade. he drew his blade, but was stopped as Hera told him not too.


She took off her robe, revealing a form fitting yellow body armour that did nothing to hide her figure. Again, Hectoris noticed Antioch looking at her with a face of tone who was in awe of what he gazed upon. he noted that he would have to lve up to his reputation and give him a good flogging with the chain.

Hera no longer held her pistol and knife. Instead, she clutched a Wraithbone spear, the end forming a glowing blue blade that crackled with energy. Indeed, Hectoris could just about make out streaks of lightning moving over the surface of the blade, as if it were alive.

"You carry the Ssssspear of Twilight, I ssssee. Tell me Hera, how much longer have you to live, before the ssspear burnsss you asssunder?" the Daemonette hissed the words. She seemed to be growing more intricing by the moment. She was clearly designed to tempt the mortal man, for she wore no clothes, her breasts were on show for all to see. Such things were unattractive to Hectoris though, for he was a space marine. It also seemed to find no purchase on Hera, for whatever reason. But it was her voice that Hectoris was interested in. It was nasty and nasal, but at the same time sounded shrill, as if singing. It was beautiful: perfect even.

"Enouh to see you slain, beast" replied Hera, as she lept , swing her spear in a sweeping arc at the Daemon's chest. Again the Daemon parried with her claw, though the blade let a burn mark upon it. The Daemon hiossed in pain, and attack quickr than the eye could see, strike a flurry of blows with its diamond hard claws. hera parried each and struck back in the same. the duel went on like this for several minutes before Hera managed to smote the Daemon a blow that left the wound burning at the edges. She screeched o loud that Hectoris wasforced to shield his ear before the autosenses could adjust. "Die, daemon. Tell your master I shall not see her soon!" Spat the Eldar, send her spear through the Daemon's chest.

The Daemon was clearly not finished though. Hera was now disarmed, and it struck. It pulled itself onto the blade, trapping it within its own flesh, before p[lunging her claw through the Eldar. the Daemoneete lifted her into the air, Hera's body sinking further and further onto the ragged edge of the pincer. Hectoris sent a stream of Bolter shells into the Daemon, which could not now move out of the way, and it exploded in a burst of purple flame. Hera dropped to the ground. Aloysus ran over and began to examine her.

He looked at tCaecilius, and shook his head. Hera was dead and they could not find the Eldar base. They were lost. "Emperor damn you Daemon!" he roared at the sky, caution thrown to the wind.

hera wasn't quite dead, however. it became evident with the splutter, and huge amount of bright red blood spilling from her mounh. She reached down with trembling fingers a lifted a dark blue stone, her Spirit Stone, which hung from a chain around her neck. She tried to touch it to the blade of the Spear, but she couldn't reach and the gaping hole in her chest meant she couldn't move. She spluttered again, blood oozing out of her wound and mouth. hectoris reached down and plucked the stone from her fingers.

She looked at him, her face covered with blood, her eyes pleading. Desperate, she tried to take the stone back. hectopris lifted it out of her reach. And then he saw her for what she was. not a witch, not a scum to be extinguished. Just a desperate, dying women, perfect in every way. She did what was right, and did not use her body to gain advantage, as many humans were done. She was perfection.

Out of respect, or maybe admiration, he gave the stone back. Hera, dying, within death's waiting room, touched the stone to the Blade of her spear. The stone sparked on contact and shattered. Hera's body turned to dust, billowing in the wind, leaving behind a small, white spark, which floated towards the balde, entering it. The Blade of the Spear of Twlight glowed a bright yellow, and vanished, leaving the 5 marines alone.

At that point, Segari came from the bushes where he had been thrown. He noticed the 4 marines staring at him and stopped.

Hectoris, strode towards, drawing his blade as he went.

I stood before Hectoris and yelled at him. ''Are you gonna fight your own brethren now sergeant? Why do we must fight amongst ourself's while there is a stronger enemy nearby. We are astartes of the emperors children we are perfect and the eldar witch an imperfect being by the fact that it is XENOS. Or the spawn that is imperfect because it is a DAEMON. Will not tear us apart we will eradicate all the xenos and daemons from this planet as our primarch instructed .

Antioch's anger flared in his chest, he yelled at Rephosus, "My duty is to my Primarch and to the Emperor, do you know nothing of the leadership of our legion?" He continued "My rank is higher than yours, therefore I speak as the voice of our father Fulgrim, it matters not now, the Xenos is dead."

As Dreph walked out into the mangled woods, the Vox opened up.

"Captain Kalar, this is Sergeant Hectoris. We have destroyed a unnatural body. It seemed almost... unreal."

"Hectoris, I am not so sure. I believe I have come to contact this creature, and I can still feel his presence on this world. Is there anything else?"

"Yes. We are now stranded, as our guide was killed in the fight."

"Understood Hectoris. Remain in position. We shall try to find the enemy."

"Emperor be with you, Captain."

As Dreph came above the hill he was climbing, he saw the beast. A gout of purple flame flew out from nowhere, and after that stood the fortress.

"Emperor be with you Captain" Hectoris growled into the vox.

he turned to Segari. "How long have you known of the beast inside you Segari," he asked, a snarl etched across his face, though the others could not see it. Segari did not reply, but held his gaze with the Terminator Sgt. "HOW LONG?!" He screamed it this time, right in Segari's face. He remove his helmet and spat, on Segari's. "When this is done, there will be a reckoning Segari! Lord Fulgrim will not stand for this!"

He stormed over to Rephosus, who was watching from near the treeline. Hectoris' hands gripped the devastator by the neck and smashed him into a tree, pining him a foot off the ground. "And YOU! Oppose me again, boy, and I will execute you where you stand for disobeying orders! Do I make myself clear?!" PRephosus nodded his understanding.

Hectoris turned on Aloysus, who had been queit the whole time. "I told you to keep an eye on him. What the do you call this?" Without waiting for a reply, he smashed his fist into a sapling, with enough force to uproot it.

"Emperor damn you Daemon!"

Starteld by the aggressiveness off the terminator sergeant. I walked over to what was left over of hera. and searched the area for a while.. I found a data slate with the directions. ''So thats how she new the way without having to think for a single second.'' I ran to the terminator sergeant and handed it over to him. After that i ran to sergeant segari and held up my hand and said. ''Come on sergeant there is work to be done .''

"Hectoris, I have good news and bad news. Which do you want to hear first?"

"Sir, I'm not bothered. I'm rather busy at the moment."

"Alright, Hectoris. I have found the Fortress. I've also found the Serpent."

"HOW LONG?!"

"Hectoris?! What is going on?"

"Captain, the Daemon women came from within Sgt Segari. He was habouring the Daemon. He will have things to answer for when this is through."

Antioch turned to Hectoris, "What is the captains location? What are our orders?"

"! I KNEW THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG!"

Dreph charged across the plains to meet the beast. He fired several Plasma Cannon rounds into the serpent, but to no avail. It dodged each shot with unnerving dexterity. As he came closer, he dropped the Plasma Cannon, instead coming to destroy the creature in melee. He was set on destruction. As he came ever closer, he began to feel a resistance in his mind. The creature was trying to turn him back. As Dreph came closer and closer, the resistance grew. Dreph could barely maintain his faith.

"We continue with the mission. Lead the way Rephosus. Antioch, take point. Aloysus stick with Segari at the rear. If he gets out of your sight, you'll regret it."

"Captain, we need to find this base and complete the mission."

He glared at Segari before stomping off after Antioch and Rephosus.

I walk forward sneaking after walking for a while i spot a patrol of 2 guardians they are eating

Vox channel open ''Sergeant i have spotted 2 eldar guardians what should i do?''

I hear them talk about their lost brethren and how they will avenge their losses.

Antioch approached the shoulder of Rephosus, he took aim at the chest of one guardian, "I have the one on the right" He whispered to Rephosus. He opened his vox channel to Hectoris "Do we take the shot?"

Dreph was within 5 feet of the creature, but he was almost broken. He felt a craving for perfection. He was starting to slip away...

"Damn you foul beast!"

With his last ounce of faith, he lunged at the creature. He held onto it and cut it open repeatedly with his lightning claw. He wrestled it to the ground, and placed a bolter shell through it's head. He tried to vox his company members.

"Hectoris, fall back on my position.. I've found the fort... I repeat, I have fou..."

Dreph collapsed next to the corpse of the Serpent.

"Captain, the \Primarch outranks you, therefore his mission takes priority over the fort. Watch the dtatapad pict-video and you will understand. I must cut all communications. We will not risk detection."

2Antioch, do not fire, I repeat, do not fire! They will here the gunshot and we will be detected. Antioch, sneak around, take them out in melee. Rephosus, get your weapon trained. When Antioch springs his ambush, shoot the 2nd Eldar.2 He ordered. After a moment he added, thinking of how Hera had looked so desperate when he had taken hers, added " Go for a clean headshot. Avoid its spirit stone if you can"

"Squad, this will be our last vox. We cannot risk detection. Use hand signals if you need to communicate. Aloysus, you are the exception, if something goes on with Segari again I want to know wabout it, no matter the risks."

A small vox came from Segari.

"I had a feeling since my injuery, Caecilius. I have known for definate since my return from the Pride"


Caecilus Hectoris, Sergeant of the Jaded Watch, life long friend of Apollus Segari, uttered seven words into the vox, spoken only to Marius Aloysus.

"Tell Segari, he is dead to me."

I made some hand-signals to antioch that he should proceed. He sneaked up behind one of the eldar and using his fists knocked him unconcious. with a fell swoop, i reacted immediately and shot the second one in the head. We hid their bodies in the bushes and i while antioch returned to sergeant hectoris continued scouting.

After Antioch finished the Eldar and disposed of the bodies, they brought the party together, after talking, they decided to stay there for the night. Rephosus took watch for the first half of the night.

Antioch awoke in the clearing that they had met the Xenos woman the day earlier, he wondered how he had got there. He stood up to assess his surroundings, when he realized his weapons were missing. He was mystified at how this could have happened, he looked around for his missing Battle Brothers, but there was no sign of them. The footprints made in the battle with the great lizards were missing, as well as any bolt shells or blood. The clearing was completely undisturbed. He looked up and saw the Eldar, she was lying where she had been killed by the daemon, though she bore no mark of injury. Antioch gazed at the perfection of the Eldar form, and remembered the grace with which she moved. He bent down to touch the glowing blue stone on her shoulder, when all of a sudden, the body transformed. Instead of the graceful Eldar body, there was instead the body of the daemon, he noticed how similar they truly were, something he hadn't seen while the the monster had confronted the woman. He saw the similarities, but he noticed, where the Eldar, though she was beautiful, had been slaughtered. The daemon was different, it had survived, it was the perfect killing machine, another aspect of perfection. Antioch was puzzled by this, he wanted to dismiss it from his mind, but he couldn't. Then, with a sudden noise, the daemons eyes snapped open, and it began to whisper the gift of perfection that it could give. Antioch fought this urge fiercely, seeing the daemons words as lies, only the light of the Emperor and Fulgrim could guide him. He must resist. The whispers grew louder, the daemon stood up, and began to move closer too him, the large claw on its arm was near to driving into his abdomen, he was going to die.

Antioch woke up with a jerk as Rephosus tapped him to tell him he was on watch. Aloysus had to stay near Segari, and Hectoris was obviously troubled and needed sleep. Antioch moved to his post, and gazed into the forest, awaiting the dawn.

"Sarge," began Madeye.
"Hand signals, brother!" whispered Marius "What is it?"
Madeye thought for a moment before dropping his meltagun. He proceeded to make a series of hand signals, first a fanning motion, then a sort of walking, then a two-handed repetitive pointing gesture to the left.
Sergeant Marius gestured a signal of confusion and anger.
"What Eldar unit walks to war, Sarge?"
"All of 'em, except their tanks."
"Really, Sarge? Thought'd be easier than that," Madeye lifted his meltagun,"War Walkers, sir." There was nothing, no enemies where he had beckoned.
"This had better not be a joke, brother!"
"I pray you believe me, this is no joke. It must be some Xenos trick, some grave heresy!"

Dreph found himself in the Fortress when he woke up. The population were starved. There was no fresh water. People were dying incredibly fast.

"Thank the Emperor you are hear, Space Marine. We need your help."

Dreph propped himself up on a wall.

"Why do you require my aid?"

After waking up antioch, and being relieved of guard duty i wen tot sleep.

I had horrible dreams i saw sergeant segari on the field and out of nothing the deamon that tried to achieve perfection ruptured out of him. She/He walked to me and with one of the most beautiful i ever hear ''Mortal why do you ssssstop yourself from achieving perfection. Bow to me and i will bring ultimate pleassure and perfectionb'' I screamed ''No deamon i will not bow down to you or your trickery sergeant segari wont either! We are all loyal to fulgrim and the emperor!''

The deamon said while binding me with her tail ''Come i will sssshow you what it means to be perfect.'' She dragged me against my will to a strange area. It was dark and slimy and out of everywhere little deamon spawns streamed out and tortured me.'' I screamed it out then i yelled to the deamon.'' Release me vile spawn!'' While i wrestled myself from the little deamons the deamon laughed and said.'' I wont let you go until you give in to pleassssure.'' Thats how the night continued i was being tortured by the deamon for what seemed to be forever.

I felt a sudden urge it was sergeant antioch he kicked me awake and he said'. ''Come on brother there is work to be done.'' Leaving the strange feelings behind me i took over the watch.

Marius Aloysus was angry. He was angry with Rephosus for forgetting his place and questioning his superiors. He was angry with Hectoris for blaming him for not seeing Segari's possession, as if he was some sort of witch who could look into men's souls. But most of all he was angry with Segari, a warrior he had trusted as a friend and a brother, for hiding this foul secret from him, and not seeking his help.

He stared at his brother's sleeping forms. Many of them were twitching and groaning in their sleep, as if tormented by something. Marius would not sleep. He sat on a rock at the edge of the camp, combi-bolter in hand, ready to deal with any threats that might threaten them - from without or within. Something was badly wrong on this planet, the Legion was being tested as never before. Aloysus resolved to come out of the fire stronger than ever before.

The next morning Segari and Rephosus were on the clearing patrol, walking 200 metre away moving 360 degress around the defensive position, making sure nothing was laying in wait. Apollus took the chance at having this moment alone with his brother.
"Rophosus, I know the others do not trust me" They stopped beside a log, Rophosus staring at him inquisitively.
"If things turn sour, I want to know where your loyalty is placed?"

Sergeant my loyalty is with the emperor and with the primarch. But you must know that i will always stand by your side even if our brothers turn against you. You will have my support.

Aloysus watched Segari and Rephosus as they circled their camp. They stopped to talk, but he was too far away to make out what they said. Segari clapped Rephosus on his shoulder, obviously pleased by what the neophyte had said. He hoped that it was just that Rephosus had answered a test question on battlefield protocol well, but his gut told him that it wasn't. Keeping a wary eye on them, he crossed the camp to speak to Hectoris.

The other Sergeant looked up as he approached, and glared at him. "Hectoris, we must talk." Aloysus said. Hectoris' frown deepened, but he nodded for Aloysus to continue. "You are still giving me the silent treatment? The failing was not mine and you know it, Hectoris. I am no psyker, how could I have known he was carrying that thing inside him?" Aloysus asked "Once you remove your head from your arse you and I are going to discuss this. But that is not the matter on which I came to speak to you. I am worried about Segari and Rephosus. Segari has too much influence over the boy, and I do not like it. I suggest that you assign the boy to patrols with Antioch, and do what you can to keep him away from Segari. Another influnce on the lad can only be a good thing, especially now that Segari's integrity is compromised. Keep him away from Segari, for his own good. Please heed my advice, brother, I would never steer you wrong, and you know it!"

Personality (Likes, Dislikes, etc): Hot-headed, always charging forwards only to consume the enemy in a pool of burning prothemium. Avid hater of all things orky; never retreats when there are still orks on the battlefield that haven't been burnt to cimbers, unless given a direct order to retreat by Sergeant Antioch or another authoritative figure.
Background: Although he was only a scout at the time, Faberon managed to find a flamer amid a mass of the dead in his first ever battle and went on to kill nearly 20 greenskins before he ran out of promethium, from where he drew his combat knife and was soon knocked out by a backhand from a nob with a power klaw. From this day on he has carried that same flamer and hatred for orks. His current count of dead orks is well into the hundreds, and if he hadn't been ordered to retreat from a number of battlefields he would have been dead many times over.

Dreph walked through the fortress.

"We have been under siege for months now by the Orks. We cannot grow food, we cannot gather water. If we can't break out soon, we'll have to resort to cannibalism."

"I see..."

Dreph opened his Vox.

"Griffin Squadron, this is Captain Dreph Kalar. Come to my position."

"Hectoris, I have located the city. I have ordered Griffin back to me, and once your mission has been completed, come to my position alongside them."

Segari re-entered the defensive position, looking over to the other well camoflauged marines he gave the signal for the all clear.

"Rephosus, is it all clear?" Hectoris whispered. He still wasn't acknowledging Segari's existence.

He nodded.

"Marines, just clarify, when I said Hand signals only, I meant for distanced communication. If a bloke is right next to you, you may speak, but do not use the vox system. The Eldar will find us if we do."

"Ok, Sergeant" said Segari. Hectoris ignored him as usual.

"Ok lads, we need to find the Eldar Headquarters ASAP and take it before the day is out. We came here to exterminate the Orks and destroy them, and protectthe fort. The Primarch has ordered us for something else and that takes priority, but our goal is still the Orks. Rephosus, lead on. Aloysus, you and two others cover the advance from the rear. I'll take middle."

He caught up with Rephosus, and spoke to him. "Brother, I am sorry for my rash actions yesterday. My judgment was clouded by anger. Forgive me. But I have another thing to say. He paused, as he thought.

"I want you to kill him."
Rephosdus was stunned His helmet masked his face but he was clearly taken aback.

"I will take full responsibility Rephosus. You slew a traitor and did so rightly. Rephosus, I know you are fond of him, but should it come to it, I need to know where your loyalties lie."

My lord we do not yet know why that happened. And we should not turn upon each other yet. But sergeant i have something important to tell you. I have been having dreams it was the daemon rupturing out of segari and massacring everyone. Sergeant i don't know what to think of it. Sergeant in other dreams it said the same things as you that my allies will turn against each other and that we will kill each other. Sergeant what do you advice?

Aloysus took the rear guard position, keeping a wary eye on Segari. He waited until Antioch was out of sight before challenging Segari. "Why didn't you tell us Segari. We knew something was wrong, and you knew it too. Why didn't you tell the Chaplains or the Librarians or the Apothecaries? And why didn't you tell Hectoris? Why didn't you tell ME?" Aloysus asked. "Damnit, you had all these people around you who would have listened to you and tried to help you and you chose to remain silent. Why would you do that, Segari? I don't understand it."

"Why didn't you tell ME?!"

"Aloysus! Remember orders. Keep it down!"

Dreph walked into the watchmen's barracks.

"Where are the watchmen?"

The entire visible populace turned to him.

"We sacrificed them."

"BWAAAAAAAH?!"

Segari grabbed Aloysus by his chest armour slamming him against a nearby tree.
"Do you think I had a choice!", he said quietly but with a tone so angry it would make a Tokrok flinch. Segari hesitated, seeing the look of disbelief on Aloysus' face.
"I--I am sorry brother" he let go of him shifting back a few steps.
The devastator sergeant walked away with the rest of the squad, too ashamed to look back at the stunned Aloysus.

"Rephosus, tell me more about these dreams, have others had them?"

Background:He loves fighting on ocean worlds because when he is not in battle he spends time working with the Apotecarium as a Xenobiologist who specializes in Marine Xenobiology. He has catalouged dozens of species and how to kill them most effectively. He was placed in Sergeant Antioch's care and has loyally served the Sergeant for two hundred years. He has a special hatred for Dark Eldar because when he was still a Scout he was sent on a mission to find the cause of a planet not paying its tithes. A Dark Eldar raiding party hijacked his squads vessel and all but Nero died. He hopes to one day man the squad's flamer.

I don't know. Nobody has told me but if i need to guess and with no offense i think the captain also has been troubled by these dreams. But sergeant i have been honest now i want to hear the real reason why you are ignoring sergeant segari. He has been haunted by the demon, he didn't tell anything because he didn't want to compromise the mission. All he wanted to do was make sure the mission could continue successfully. And now the demon is expunged from him you must see it he has been acting like his old self again.

"You always had a choice, Segari. You could have told someone, and we would have tried to help you and we would have trusted you, but instead you chose to lie." Aloysus said as Segari walked away from him. "Answer me this: how are we meant to trust you now? We're your brothers and you turned your back on us. How did you expect us to react? Do you honestly think we enjoy having to deal with you in this way? You brought this on yourself, brother, and now you must deal with the consequences."

Nero entered the barracks and saw his Captain staring at a shockingly few men with a horrified expression on his face. He instinctively raised his bolter.
"Orders sir?" He asked not lowering his gun

"We must purge this fortress. The populace have fallen from the grace of the Emperor, and we must destroy every last trace."

Dreph raised his bolter.

"Die, traitor scum!"

A man drops to the floor dead.

"Nero! Follow me!"

Segari did not turn to confront Aloysus.
"I have already foreseen the consequences" he said under his breath.

After a silent march of over 17 kilometers the squad came to a halt. In front of them was a grand rock wall, smothered in vines and exotic flora.
"Is this the site?" Segari said with an exhuasted breath. The ordeal with expunging the dark entity and the confruntation with Aloysus had taken effect on his drained body. His very essence had been consumed, feeding the unborn abomination.
"Consult the data again this cannot be right"

"Damn you rookie, give me that datapad!" Hectoris snatched the pad from the devastator, checking the location.

"This should it. Where is it!" He shouted, punching the wall. It rippled under his fist, as if it were liquid or an illusion. He placed his fist against the rock, a pushed through the rock face. He motion for them to follow.

Emerging on the other side, he saw the Eldar base.


"We sneak around the aides. Once we get nearing, hand gestures ONLY. These Eldar have especially good hearing." They crept round the side, coming to a large, vaultlike door. They could not get through. Hectoris turned to the Killteam. He raised his arms and shrugged his shoulders as if to say "What now?"

Sergeant i brought a explosive charge with me but that will make too much noise. We can wait until a patrol goes out and take them out while the door is open.

"Hectoris, I'll use my melta to break in, and then we'll need to move quickly and quietly. I suggest we only use blades until the games up, and then use firearms. Is there anything else?"

Antioch drew his blade,"I agree with Aloysus, we must keep the silent and quick, our blades will work best."

Dreph came through the city with Griffin at his side. As they started purging the city, he found more and more horrific idols in every house, alley and shop. As he walked through, a lone rebel came out of cover, arme with a shotgun. He blasted at the squad before being killed in a hail of lead. As Dreph turned back, he saw Nero collapsed on the floor.

"Hectoris?! I need assistance now!"

"Captain, don't use the v - OH !"

"HECTORIS! RESPOND!"

Nero rolled out next to the captain and chewed away with his bolter.
"Captain drop back, we have to find Hectoris!" He shouted

"Captain, the Eldar found us! I'm not sure whether they heards us or tracked the vox signal. We're knee deep in corpses already."

He meant that quite literally. The Eldar had committed so many to this fight he4 could not mopve without crushing a skull or hand of a dead Xenos. Not that he minded of coarse. They weren't like Hera, a proud and regal figure. No, they were scumbags, alien creatures that cared for naught but death. They sent even their citizens, militia to war, and entrusted them with the weapons that should normally be wielded by trained hands. What fools.

"Weapons free, weapons free!" The barkl of Bolter and Heavy Bolter rounds tore wave after wave of Xenos apart.

"Press forward!" He yelled, pushing forward through the narrow corridor. It was so narrow in fact, that he could barely fit through. Those he did not kill were crushed between him and the wall. The others were pulling up in the advance.. Then there was a lull, at which point Hectoris saw a black robed figure, carrying a wraithbone spear, though it lacked the blade of the Spear of Twilight, who was directing the battle. He was guarded by 3 like him, who wielded dull edged blades they had to grasp in two handed. Child's toys.

Suddenly, a group of colouful Eldar assailants were among them, dressed in checkered costumes, wielding power swords. The Harliquins were never sitting still, always flipping away from attacks and dancing towards their target, never walking.

It did them little good, as all but 3 were cut down by a single round from the melta attachment on Aloysus' bolter.

"Antioch, Rephosus, engage the Harliquins, I'lltake the third. Aloysus, you and [i] him[/] lay down supressive fire on the assaulting force.!"

They duelled for several minutes, Hectoris unable to kland a blow, while all the wile the Harliquin leader twisted, nicking him with its blade, wearing him down. he had to end this.

He rushed forwards, shield held out in front, intent on smashing the Eldar dancer into the wall. It lept out of his path, however, and camwe down behind him swing its blade. hectoris spun, as quickly as he could, slashing even as the Harliquin's blade conected, shearing through his armour and into his hip. 3 inches it went before it stooped. The Harliquin dropped its blade,, and was clutchingits abdomen where Hectoris had sliced into it. Hectoris' balde had cut all the way through. Rather than let it slide off dramtically, he lifted ihis foot and booted the torso from the legs with the sole of his boot.

Hectoris turned round to find Antioch had likewise dispatched his opponent and was aiding Rephosus with his. Hectoris walked up behind them, and picked the Harliquin up by the throat. He placed one hand upon its head and squeezed. The dancer let out a short srcream before he crushed its skull.

A bark of bolter fire took down the unarmoured seers at the far end. A lone guardian, howeverr, picked up the leader's spear aand hurled it at Hectoris. As fate would have it, it struck the rent left by the Harliquin's blade, penetrating halfway up its length. Rephosus took aim, but Hectoris, although staggered by the wound, placed his hand upon Rephosus' Bolter's sights, telling him to leave it.

Through a great strength of will, Hectoris removed the spear along its flight path, and hurled it back at the guardian, who was now fleeing as fast as it could. As it was about to turn a corner the spear thrown by the wounded sergeant,his aim true despite his injuries and fatigue, and pinned it to the wall. "Let's keep going." he said with a grimace. He strode off, but without the confident stride to his step he had upon entering.

Seeing the courage of the sergeant i felt reinvigorated i took my bolter in one hand and my combat knife in the other and sneaked past the corridor. I saw 5 guardians moving up. I switched my bolter to full auto and cut 3 of the eldar down. After that i rushed to the remaining two with my combat blade i slashed at them and killed one of them with a succesfull cut through his torso.
The second xeno's taught he ambushed me and slashed at me with his combat knife, but before he knew it my bolter was infront his face and i shot him down with a rain of blood. I cleaned my blade and made the hand signals to the sergeant's who were following the battle.

I walked up to the terminator sergeant and said ''Sir i have i spotted a reinforced entry point up ahead, i think the melta charge will come in handy now.''

After pushing the impaled Harlequin off his blade, Antioch turned to assist Rephosus with the Eldar he was dueling, then he saw Hectoris's massive form stride up and crush his skull. Antioch let off bolter fire, covering his brothers, while they discussed using a melta charge to blow through a corridor.

Aloysus was in trouble. He had provided supporting fire for his brothers as they beat back the Eldar assault. As Hectoris, Antioch and Rephosus had dueled with the acrobatic warriors he had picked off Eldar after Eldar. A burst of shurikens had struck him in the back and he had turned to face the source. 5 Eldar warriors bearing shuriken pistols and whirring chainblades were approaching silently from behind him, led by an exarch with a monstrous 2 handed chainblade. Striking Scorpions. He shouted a warning to Segari, telling him to keep the assaulting force pinned while he dealt with the flanking force.

Marius fired several burst off with his bolter, felling three of the warriors as they advanced while return fire glanced off his armour. Letting his bolter fall away on its strap he drew his combat blade and leapt to meet the advancing Eldar. He parried a strike by the the leader and the teeth of the chainblade of the other warrior skittered off his pauldron. Lashing out with his free hand he put his fist through the helmet of the last warrior before turning back to face the Exarch, A blast of laser fire caught him full in the face, fired from the jawline of the leader's helmet, momentarily shorting out his autosenses. He staggered back a pace, and cried out as he felt a white hot pain in his side. As his autosenses cleared he looked down to see the Scorpion's weapon driven through his armour, the teeth churning. On instinct he lashed out, driving his combat blade through the creature's throat. Hurling the corpse aside he pulled the deactivated blade out of himself with a cry and a welter of blood.

He felt himself swaying as unconciousness pulled at him. "Hectoris!" he choked out through the vox. Heads turned towards him just as he crashed to the ground.

Dreph knelt down next to Nero.

"We cannot forsake the threat at hand, and we cannot escape."

He turned Nero over.

"Tis naught but a flesh wound, Nero. Get over it!"

Dreph pulled him up and continued on his path.

It was not much longer until he came to the heart of the fortress. Dreph found a terrifying twisted rack of human bodies, and above it lay a strange red mark. It was drenched with blood, and lined with skulls.

"marius! Antioch, grab him! We can't stop now, we must press on!" he roared, as he slew another Eldar warrior. He had had enough of these vermin! With a roar akin to an animal in pain, he charged forward, shield held out like like a battering ram, smashing all before him in an unstoppable rampage. Thosde Eldar who had the sense to flee did so, and did so quickly indeed!

The group entered the room Rephosus had mentioned. Itb was full of high grade explosives the eldar used, called "Haywire." t was primarily designed as a shoprt circuit to be used on enemy equipment, but right not it was unprocessed, and voilotile. There was enough ere to destroy the entire base. All it needed ws a spark to ignite it.

"Rephosus, pass me that datapad and bomb." The devastator did as he was told. "can you link these, so the pad acts as a detonator?" Rephosus took the datapad, did some things and handed it back.
"That should be it sergeant."

Hectoris placed the melta bomb in a canister filled with the explosives.

"Come, we must get out of here!"

the Kill team sprintd otside, having no resistence to their departure. Once they were outside, Hectoris pressed the detonation button on the datapad. Nothing happened. he did it again, with no results. He began smashing his finger into the pad untill the screen cracked and he hurled it away.




"One of us will have to detonate it by hand"

The stunned silence was more than enough answer. They all knew it was a suicide mission.None of them were afraid of death, for they were space marines and they knew no fear. But none them was willing to die. Several volunteered.

"I will do it." said Hectoris, quietly, which was unusual for him. He answered the silence by repetition. "I will do it."

Before they had a chance to argue he had turned and was sprining back towards the base. He activated the vox system, to ay his final goodbyes.

"Rephosus, I am sorry I treated you like a scout and a novice. You are no such thing. You are a Devastator of the Rayven, of the brotherhood of Orion, 9th company of the Emperor's children and a son of Fulgrim. Forgive me."
"Sergeant, I... "
"You have more than earned the right to call me Caecilius. I have already made recommendations for you to travel to mars to train in the art of the Techmarine. You can thank your sergeant there."

"Antioch, I have not had much contact with you recently, but it was an honour to have you fight at my side."

"Marius, my friend, if you can here this, I wish to say I am sorry, for my recent spree of rashness. I was blinded by anger at the death of the wopmen, and the almost failure of the mission, I took it out on you, when it happened. I shouldn't have asked that much of you."

He contacted Captain kalar, Magnus, Markus and Faberon, including them in the conversation.

"Hectoris, " came the captain's voice, "how goes the mission?"

"Captain, our plan was to detonate a melta bomb from range in an area of high grade explosives. The remnote failed. I have to detonate by hand. I have ordered my squad to flee and I will do this alone. Kalar, Dreph, I know I am breaking protocal by refering to you by name, but I am on my last legs. You were my greastest Captain. I have been here since the legion left Terra. I watched Captains come and go, but was never awarded it myself. I weas jealous and hateful by the tiome you came and I wish to be forgiven."

"of coarse, Hectoris."

"Magnus, I hope you will lead the watch as I did. Remember, the punishment for negligence is 27 cracks of the chain upon the chest. The plasteel chain can be found in my quarters aboard our strike cruiser." Magnus chuckled his comprehension.

"Markus, Feberon, Nero. Play nice with the orks. I hear fire is their favourite thing this weather!"


He had reached the room where he had stored the meltabomb.

"Segari," he said, recognising his being for the first time in days, " I have treated you unjustly. You should have told me me, but that does not excuse my actions. Forgive me, please!"

There was no answer.

"Segari, please!"

Still, the vox was silent.

"Please, Apollus..."

" I forgive you," came the voice of Segari.


With his concious clear, he prepared to detonate the bomb, his thumb already on the trigger. Segari shouted for him to wait. "I should have told you Caecilius! I am the one who is sorry!"














"No one's perfect."

He detonated the bomb.

There was nothing, nothing but the emptiness and the pain. Marius stood and looked around, but there was only desert stretching out for miles around, an endless sea of sand. He called out for his brothers, but there was no reply. He was alone.

A wind blew up out of nowhere, whipping the sand into the air. With nowhere to shelter and no idea where to go he struck out blindly through the sand, forging a path to nowhere, walking for hours. He climbed a rise in the land and came to a plateau of rock inscribed with an eightfold star. Stepping onto the rock the wind dropped, as the sand fell to the ground a figure began to form, building up and becoming solid. Marius reached for his bolter, but it was not there, his only weapon was his combat blade, sheathed at his hip. The creature had a serpentine body, and one hand has shaped like a crab's claw, and yet for all its deformities it seemed beautiful, perfect even.

"Mariusss Aloysssusss" it hissed "My massster bade me sssspeak with you." Marius eyed the creature warily. "I know you, you are the thing that was in Segari, that killed the Eldar witch. Why should I speak with you?" he snarled. "Becausssse" it said "I can offer you perfection. Perfection in war, perfection in art, perfection in leadership even. You want to be a leader, don't you Mariusss?". Aloysus was uncomfortable, the creature seemed to see into him, to see his deepest desires. "And how would you do that?" he asked. "It isss ssssimple, yesss it issss! All you have to do is bend your knee to my massster and casst out your Emperor." The snake thing said, voice dripping disgust. "My god Slaanesh will improve you and grant your innermost desires." Marius smiled a wolf's smile. "You are tempted, yesss I see!" The beast giggled. "Join usss!"

Marius went for his blade, tearing it from its scabbard and launching a furious assault on the creature, which shrieked in fury. blocking his strikes with its claw. "What are you doing?" it hissed "Why do you not join usss?" "You made a mistake, creature." Maruis said "Perfection cannot be given, it must be earned. The Emperor gave us bodies capabe of being the perfect warriors, but we cannot be such without the work and the blood and the sweat that we put in to attaining our perfection of skill at arms." Marius yelled, pushing the creature back and slashing its arm. "I desire to lead, but I will learn how in fire and blood, or die in the attempt." He dodged a swing from the beast, and slipped behind it, dragging his blade across its back, drawing forth a screech of pain. "Perfection may be the goal, but it is the journey to achieve it that is the most important part." Aloysus lectured. He caught the creature's claw in his free hand and drove his blade through its heart. The beast dropped to its knees before him. "Tell your master that." Aloysus said, and with one mighty swing of the combat blade he cut its head off.

Marius slumped, tired from the fight. The pain in his side was back again. As he watched, the corpse of the snake-creature crumbled back into dust that seemed to hiss "You haven't won yet!" with the beast's voice. The pain grew more intense and Marius collapsed....

....and woke with a cry to the sound of a thunderous detonation.

Antioch set down Marius as the detonation went off, he had woken up just in time. "Marius" He called, "Are you alright?" The seemingly dazed Sergent stood up. Antioch briefed him on the situation, and then voxed the captain, informing him of the situation.

OOC: P-gray seems to be off so now I am going to go ahead and post.

IC: Nero looked at his captain. He hadn't heard the vox message that had so sincerely shocked him, but he knew something was very wrong. He had heard the explosion and checked the team vitals signs until he found one that seemed out of the ordinary.
"Oh god sir, did Hectoris just.." Nero let his sentance trail off, not wanting to say it.

Antioch opened his box channel to Nero, "Hectoris is MIA Nero, we are enroute to your position, keep Dreph alive." As Antioch was about to close the channel, he stopped and spoke silently and reverently, "Hectoris was a damn good soldier, he will be missed, but sacrifices must be made.." then he shouted, Children of the Emperor!" "Death to hi foes!" Nero replied.

"There is nothing we can do for Hectoris and the orks will flock to such an explosion, do not let his death be in vain."

Segari grabbed Marius by the back of his armoured collar dragging him through the sand. He was clutching his stomach, holding his guts inside his belly.
"Lead on Antioch"

Aloysus took a quiet moment to mourn his friend. "Farewell, Caecilius Hectoris. You shall not be forgotten."

Segari grabbed him by the back of his armour, pulling him along. "I can walk, Segari. Where's my bolter? You will be better served keeping watch for orks." Aloysus climbed to his feet. His side ached, but the Larraman cells had sealed the wound and he could feel his flesh beginning to knit itself back together. Rephosus handed him his combi-melta. "Thank you, brother." Aloysus said.

He opened a vox link to Dreph, Antioch and Segari. "Captain, I too have seen the creature. It came to me while I was unconcious with a wound, offering temptation. I drove it away, but I fear I have not slain it. It is best that we be wary."

He fell in beside Segari as they marched. "I wish to apologise, brother. I too have seen the temptation that thing offers, and I know it was not your fault. I have behaved badly towards you in a manner ill befitting brothers and warriors. Will you accept my apology?" he asked.

Antioch led the 4 kill team members to the Storm Eagle, they mounted up, entering the coordinates, he flew the Eagle to the fortress. With its military virtually all dead, The AA guns on the walls were not operational. He saw the cultists engaged with his squad in the courtyard, "Take cover, Brothers." Antioch loosed the missles slightly forward of the melee in which the marines were engaged. The cluster of missles devastated the unarmored cultists, but the mighty Power Armour of his brothers held against the blast. He flew around, firing at the cultists, "Should we attempt to land captain, or shall I provide air support?"

"Antioch? We've reached a point where this planet has become irretrievable. I suggest we begin an evac immediately. Provide transport and take us to the others. We must complete the mission, then be taken to the Pride of the Emperor."

Dreph calmly placed another bolt through the head of a cultist.

"Aloysus, do not fret. If we fear, it grows stronger. We must be vigilant. We are currently headed to Hectoris in the Stormbird. Prepare for evac. This planet is to be placed under Exterminatus."

Dreph turned to the lowering Stormbird.

"For Orion! For Fulgrim! For the Emperor of Mankind!

In those moments, Dreph and his company heard a sound from the vox that chilled them to their very core.



"Can I hitch a ride, Captain?"

I screamed into the vox.'' Caecilius is it really you?''
I said to sergeant antioch.'' Sergeant could you drop me a 100 metres from the base along with a locator beacon, while you load in the captain. I will extract sergeant Caecilius and with the locator beacons help teleport inside the ship.''

''Caecilius you must try to get outside the base i will extract you there.''

I received static ''damn it''

Okay i will go inside the base and get him out anyone volunteering to save him i know it isn't my position but this is important.

Aloysus' heart leapt as he heard Hectoris' voice, but there was smething strange about it. He was worried, Hectoris sounded strained, like he was severly injured. "Captain, we must turn the Stormeagla around and rescue Hectoris immediately. Can you call for another bird to extract you?"

"I am not leaving my leader, and my Squad behind." Antioch landed the Storm Eagle, Firing off Stormbolter rounds, Dreph was the last man to step into the ship before Antioch immediately took off towards Hectoris's position. He opened all vox channels as he flew, "The Basilisks have already been evacuated, along with what was left of the Stormbirds crew and supplies, and a transport has picked up our rhino, 2 minutes out from Hectoris's position. "Nero, take the controls." Antioch hopped out of the cockpit and drew his blade and bolter. "Rephosus and I will get Hectoris."

"May the Emperor be with you."

As the two marines deployed on the surface, a great blast shook the Stormbird. Dreph flung himself into the cockpit.

"What was that?!"

"It appears that we are taking fire from a group of Eldar fighters."

Another mighty impact rolled the Stormbird.

"Sir, our automatic turrets have been disabled. If we canot use them, we are doomed."

Within the second, Dreph was bolting to the turrets.

"Battle brothers, the pilots require you to operate a turret."

As the other marines scrambled into the gunner's seats, the Stormbird began evasive maneuvers.

Dreph blasted his Autocannon at the streamlined craft, bringing one down in a great plume of flame.

I moved out with sergeant antioch to the eldar base i saw eldar guardians scrambling along with a shuriken cannon. In pure anger i took out a frag grenade and threw it 3 of them where killed. After that i killed another 4 with full auto. And sergeant antioch destroyed the shuriken cannon with a stroke of his sword and killed the squad leader and the rest of the guardians. After that we rushed inside and found huge ruins and there in the distance there he laid sergeant Caecilius, his arm severed from his shoulder huge blasts of his armor and part of it was melted. I shouted to sergeant antioch sir cover me while i bring him to the extraction zone here are my last grenades and he catched them and nodded.

As he caught the grenade, an ear piercing scream was let out through the rubble, "Go back to the extraction zone!" He shouted. He tossed Hectoris his bolter, "Go!" He shouted.
Then they came. The full squad of Banshees burst through the rubble, Antioch pulled the pin on the frag Rephosus had given to him and threw it, 4 Banshees dropped to the ground, lacerated and full of shrapnel. He pulled out his bolt pistol and dropped another, but then the ear piercing scream went out again. Without his autosenses Antioch relied purely on reflex to fight the Banshees in front of him. He holstered his pistol and wielded his blade with 2 hands. He impaled the first Banshee, the next fired a shuiriken at him. His helmet took a hit, and autosenses went completely offline. He ripped the helmet from his head and threw it into the next Eldar, catching her in the chest and sending her to the ground, she was not fast enough to dodge the heavy foot which came down, crushing her skull moments later. He felt a searing pain in his hip, and threw his hand back to catch another Banshee in the helmet, and a moment later her head rolled on the ground. The last 2 came at the same time, he stabbed one, but the other cut his left arm. He swiveled and headbutted her, before picking her up with both hands and smashing her against a spike of rubble sticking up from the ground. He retrieved his blade from the corpse of a fallen Eldar, when he realized there was only 9 corpses. Another shriek was let out, and he turned to see the Exarch jump toward him. The was holding a massive blade for an Eldar, and swung it at an extreme speed he could barely match. He parried blow after blow, but she was fresh, and he was tired. His left arm stung, then the 2 blades met in midair. Antioch pushed as hard as he could, but he felt the Eldar pushing him back, he could not win this fight, then he thought. As the Eldar slowly overpowered him, he slowly reached down with one hand, she laughed at him through her amplified helmet and then he laughed softly back. A puzzled murmur came from the Banshee as the felt something press against her stomach, she looked down, and saw the bolt pistol pointed directly at it. "Don't need autosenses to make this shot." Antioch murmured as he pulled the trigger. The banshee staggered back, a 2 inch wide hole gaped in her stomach. Although the bolt had not activated at point blank range, it had done its job. Antioch shoved he to the ground, he stood up and executed her, her head exploding from the bolt round. Wiping the blood from his mouth, Antioch turned and walked back to the extraction zone. He did not want to spend another minute on this damned planet.

Manning another turret Aloysus blazed away. He had downed 2 and was closing on a third when the vox crackled "Stormbird, this is Antioch. We have Hectoris, requesting extraction. We'll need Aloysus on hand immediately, he's badly wounded."

Passing the turret to one of the Basilisk marines, Aloysus hurried to the rear bay. The Stormbird touched down, and the ramp fell. Rephosus and Antioch ran up the ramp dragging Hectoris between them. "We have them, lets go!" Aloysus voxed. As the Stormbird took off he rushed to Hectoris' side. He was in a sorry way, his armour was barely recognisable, it was badly melted and scarred and he was missing an arm below the elbow. Aloysus quickly stripped his armour off and tended his wounds, spraying them with synth-skin. The lost arm was a clean cut, and would be able to recieve an augmetic replacement. With Caecilius stabilised he had him taken to the medical bay, ready to be taken to the Apothecarium once they were in orbit.

I entered the ship and handed sergeant Caecilius to sergeant aloysus. After that i rushed to the largest turret and took control Of the twin linked lascannon. I fired at the enemy nightwing fighters i took one out with a large explosion. I shouted to sergeant antioch we need to get to the flagship ASAP sir.

Antioch flew the Storm Eagle through space to the docking bay of the "Draconi" Hectoris was transferred to the med bay, Segari wandered off, probably to get some sleep. The rest of the team moved to other quarters. Their fight was over, they could not contribute to the battle in the void.

Hectoris had been handed off to Fabius Bile and the Apothecarium. They would do their best for him. Once the apothecaries had patches up Aloysus' side he was allowed some time to himself. Finally freed from the burden of looking after the Company's wounded, Aloysus retired to his cell. He cleaned his weaponsand stored them, and had his armour taken to the Techmarines for repairs. His mind was uneasy after the trials he had faced on the surface and he made his way to the Reclusiam to meditate and clear his mind.

Dreph found Fulgrim.

"Why did you leave the planet, Dreph? You had orders to save the citizens."

"My lord, the citizens had turned away from the Emperor, the Orks were overrunning the walls and as you are aware, the Eldar were hiding. I've come to request an Exterminatus on the planet."

Fulgrim turned to the Captain.

"You do not have the authority to make such demands, Captain! You're little more than a juvenile in this Legion, a little boy playing with his toy soldiers! It is our duty to aspire to be the greatest space marines at any cost!"

Fulgrim looked down on Dreph.

"Until you can learn to treat the men under your command as their rank states, you will not advance. You must learn that we, the Children of the Emperor, must know our place in the chapter. You called out Bile for one of your Sergeants. Fabius Bile, the master apothecary, to heal one of your lowly Sergeants! Your perspective is twisted and warped."

Fulgrim stepped away.

"However, by the sound of things, it is best to use Exterminatus. I shall call the Master of Ordinance at once."

Dreph bowed.

"Thank you, my lord."

He turned out the door and went to find his brother marines, Fulgrim's words still embedded in his mind.

I was walking to the master of the forge i thought about how i haven't seen him for a long while and smiled because i remembered to bring the data slate of the eldar for examination the tech could be counteracted by the use of a Specialized EMP device.

I arrived in the room and the master of the forge was working on a piece of artificer armor for one of the lord commanders i knocked and the master said come in.

I made the sign off the ommnisiah and after that of the aquila, And bowed down to him i said. ''My lord i have arrived with a present and a request'' I took out the data slate and handed it to the master off the forge and informed him about the technological advances that could be made.

Then i made my request. ''My lord i wanted to ask if you could assign one of the artificers to hand craft a piece of artificer armor for sergeant appolus segari.''

I walked to techmarine sehiratu and greeted him. '' Good day brother sehiratu it is good to see you again.''
Sehiratu looked at my armor and with a grim look on his face said.'' Brother your armor is pretty torn up strip it off i'll fix it for you.''

I said before i stripped of my armor'' Sehiratu i want to speak to you. You are one of my closest friends and i think i can trust you with this.''
Sehiratu nodded and i continued.'' I have been having nightmares terrible nightmares they have been troubling me i see a monster in my dreams it attacks my brothers and promises me perfection.
Sehiratu you as my friend as a member of the mechanicum please you must help me.
I am afraid to face my sergeant after what happend could you please help me talk to him?''

Aloysus found the peace in the temple calming. He spent a long time meditating and ordering his thoughts, but they kept coming back to the vision of the beast. He could not explain why it had followed the Brotherhood, and why it was so interested in them. He was certain that it was far from finished with them.

He heard footsteps approaching him and a deep gravelly voice said "I wish to speak with you, brother."

Antioch followed Dreph into the room where Aloysus was sitting, probably meditating. He had decided to tell them of his dreams. They sat near Aloysus, and then Antioch spoke, "Brothers, the beast which slew our guide has haunted my dreams with tales of perfection, I do not know what to make of this, can the ethereal creature really access our minds, or am I simply corrupt?"

Dreph turned and stared at Antioch.

"I thought I slayed the beast on the planet. How is it still haunting you, brother?"

Dreph stared into his eyes. He felt unusually at ease in his presence.

The Master of the Forge turned to Rephosus. "Where do you get this?" he asked, a look of disbelief upon his face. To most, his raspy voice, which he did not like to use, was an ear splitting wirring, that sounded rather like machines. Rephosus did not mind, and niether did his Techmarines.. "We haven't seen this kind of technology before. I will have it sent to Mars immediately! This could be the start of a new era! Meltabombs will die off completely!

As for that armour, I cannot say. I am in the middle of crafting a suit for Commander vaspien. For what purpose do you make this request? Oh, it doesn't matter, I would need to consult with Lord Fulgrim before making such a prized suit! Run along Rephosus, I shall contact you later."

Ther Master of the Forge watched as Rephosus walked over to one of his subordinates. He saw Rephosus strip off his armour and hand it over. He placed the datapad on a table, and picked up a smelting hammer with his servo arm. He turned back to the suit of armour for the Lord Commander, flame projector primed to heat the ceramite. he was startled, which was rare for the emotionless servants of the Omnissiah, when he saw the face of a beautiful women reflected in the armour. He spun quickly, fearing attack from behind. There was nothing. When he turned back, she had vanished.

Fulgrim, Primarch of the Emperor's children sat in his quarters. On his table sat his blade, Fireblade, crafted by his brother Ferrus Manus of the Iron Hnads, even as Fulgrim had crafted Forgebreaker for Ferrus. OBuckled to his hip was the silver blade he had taken from Laeran. He was marvelling at a statuette of the Emperor he had crafted. Perfection. His thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the dorr.

"Enter!" he commanded. The door opened and Vaspasien stepped forward, dressed in pristine white cerimonial toga.
"My liege."

"Vaspasien, something troubling you? Wait, before you answer, what do you think of this?" he said, indicating the statue.
"Marvellous! Perfection as always my lord, " came the reply. In truth, Vaspasien thought it was revolting. It ws all out of proportions and mishapen. Fulgrim did not notice.

"Now, what did you wish to tell me??"
"The 9th Comapny, the Brotherhood of Orion, has returned. They are on board the Pride getting repairs and medical attention."
"Very good. Have them debriefed once they have recovered."

"There is another thing, my lord."

"Yes?"

"One of their number was severely wounded. Sergeant Caecilius Hectoris of the Jaded Watch Terminator Assault Squad. He led that special mission sir."



Fulgrim stopped dead,, and slowly turned around, removing the chisel from where he had been about to strike.

"Show me where! Now!"

Antioch's confession left him uneasy. "I too confronted the beast in a dream when I was wounded in the assault on the Eldar HQ. I slew it in the dream, but I still feel like it is nearby. I do not like it. I came here to try and figure out what this could mean. I have seen it, Segari saw it, and now Antioch tells us he has seen it! What do you think we should do Captain?"

"I must consider this further", Dreph replied to Antioch and Aloysus. "I shall be in my quarters... Do not disturb me."

Antioch nodded a goodbye to Aloysus, and stood up to walk out of the room.

Nero was been standing with the Master of the Forge, who was praising him for something he could not remember. After the speech, Nero was gifted with a flamer. Then he noticed something very strange. On it were Dark eldar runes that held him in place. He looked to the Master of the Forge for help but before he could speak a blade exploded from his chest and tossed him aside. It belonged to a lithe warrior from the webway, one of the dreaded Archons of the dark city.
"Nero, Nero, Nero." The eldar said in the voice of Nero's true gene-father.
"You could have everything you want if you gave in to that fire that burns inside you but you keep it in check. Nobody ever manned such a holy weapon as the flamer whilst acting like a meek little rodent. You are different than the rest of them arent you? You can feel it burning inside you, a wolf-like instinct to be amongst people like you. You pass it off as cowardice, but deep down you know that you are right and there is something flawed with you. And while you stay with this legion of perfectionist bastards it will only grow. You must branch out, find true brothers." It said in a voice of rolling thunder that reminded him of a great wolf, but not a savage wild one, a tamed intelligent one.
"What are you talking about vile alien? I am with my brothers here, we are all linked by our gene-seed." Nero shouted back, feeling an acidic taste in his mouth as he said the word brothers.
"Oh yes that gene-seed in you, you are convinced it links you to those others. Very well, wake." The Archon said.

Nero sat bolt upright in his bed, panting heavily and sweating. He felt both of his hearts beating until he relaxed that it was just a dream. He still felt a sense of wrongness and sought out a Chaplain to talk to. He found one ten minutes later, admiring some sculpture of Horus made by a remembrancer after some battle against Orks.
"Sir Chaplain, I am sorry to disturb you, but I have confessions to make." Nero said. The chaplain turned away from the statue and looked at Nero. He was an old man even amongst space marines and Nero himself was no whippersnapper.
"How may I help you boy?" The chaplain asked.
"I worry for my purity sir, I had a dream. In it things were said that are more than vile, they are outright heretical. The Archon in the dream kept alluding to me being a false brother of the Emperors Children and a disconnected outsider. But how could that be? I have faithfully served this legion for centuries, and I know that I am brothers with my squad." Nero said, pouring out his distress onto the chaplain.
"Now now boy, you needn't fret over such things, dreams are nothing but fantasies created in our minds that keep our bodies prepared for when we are awake, this dream was probably just trying to keep you ready to face disappointment and come through it. My best advice to you is to go to the practice cages and work off the stress, but I know that you are a brother of this legion, and all of your squad-mates know that you are a brother of this legion, and Fulgrim himself knows you are a brother of this legion, so rest easy." The chaplain said.
"Thank you sir, you have helped me greatly." Nero said and began to walk away.
"Oh and boy," the chaplain said, halting Nero midstep, "if you really want something, prove yourself to the Master of the Forge and it won't be hard to get." Nero nodded and strode off towards the practice cages, intent on getting his flamer.

Segari entred his chambers, removing his weaponary on his way in. Servitors and initiates removed his armour, taking it away to be cleaned. He entered the vapour shower, removing the dirt and grime from his face. Drying himself off he lay calmly and methodically on his bunk.

Staring at the cieling, his weary eyes shut. Thoughts replaced the darkness. Thoughts manifested into ideas and then into plans. The string of fate had proven true. Segari, now with no doubt in his mind, let go of his ambitions allowing other...more malicious ones take their place. A smile creased onto his face. Yes, there is no doubt.

Fulgrim entered the Apothecarium at a p[ace Vaspasien found hard to match. He the Lord of te Emperor's children burst through into the room where Hectoris was being treated. Hectoris was lying on the table. The Techmarines had already built him a bionic arm. He was in suspended animation, as he had been since he had been recovered. Only autosuggestions by the Apothecaries could waken him.

"Wake him!" he comanded.
The Apothecaries were startled, but quickly recovered, bowing low. One of their number whispered something in the Sergeant's ear. Hectoris' eye flickered beneath their lids., but did not open.

"Leave us!" he commanded, rather aggresively. All but one Apothecary left.
"I must remain to keep watch in case he takes a turn for the worst, my Lord." he explained. Fulgrim looked long and hard at him, before walking around Hectoris' bed to stand before the warrior. Vaspasien vaguely remembered that the man's name was Killeon.
Vaspasien agreed with Killeon and made it known. "My Lord, if the Sergeant does take a bad turn then we need someone on ha-"
I said leave us Vaspasien!"

Vaspasien left the room, stunned, leaving onlyKilleon, Hectoris and Fulgrim. Fulrim, although being his gene father and leader, never treated him or his counterpart, Eidolon, like he had just done.

AS Vaspasien left, Fulgrim placed his hand upon Killeon's shoulder. "You really won't leave, my son?"

Killeon tok a moment, but he answered, "It is my duty to be hear my Lord."

"Then, I am sorry, my son.

In a single fluid motion, Fulgrim and both hands upon Killeon's neck, and snapped his spinal cord, killing him instantly. As the Apothecary lumped to the floor, Fulgrim turned to Hectoris' form. Hectoris' eye snapped open immediately. He had heard the whole thing.

"Caecilius, did you do it?"
He smiled.
"Yes."

After talking with sehiratu he decided that he would talk to sergeant segari on a later date.

I walked to the apotecarium to see how sergeant hectoris was doing, but on my was there i heard a strange noise. After looking around i saw a group of zealots of the lectatio divinatius holding a communion. i voxed to the acting patrol officer. ´´Send a security detail to my position i have found a group of zealots.´´ i walked up to them bolt pistol in one hand and combat knive in the other and activated security to close all doors then i shouted. ´´What are you doing here scum, praying to a god. I will whip each and every one of you for your heresy to the emperor.´´ They looked at me with scared eyes and one of them shouted. ´´Its an astartes a demi-god of the god emperor´´ And he bowed down, i walked up to him and shot him in the head and said. ´´Never listen to religion you scum.´´

After that i saw my friend techmarine sehiratu running my way with the security detail and even 2 skitarri to help me.

Aloysus headed to the practice cages. If he could not find peace through meditation he would attain it though war.

Stepping into the cage he selected a combat knife. "Activate practice cage. Weapon: combat knife. Maximum threat level"

The arms of the servitor clattered and raised, and Marius fell into a fighting stance.

Antioch walked down the halls of the ship toward the practice area, he wanted to find Nero, he needed to ask him about dreams of the monster, or of other strange dreams. As he got to the area, he saw Nero stepping into a practice cage. He decided to wait for him to get out to talk to him.

Faberon slowly repaired the flamer that had been damaged as a banshee struck at it. The weapon had done a good job in taking out the eldar, but ultimately he had resorted to pistoling them in the face. Inside he was still trying to get over the shock of the battles: many had gone badly for him, but his battle brothers were acting madly, and what Hectoris had done had struck him dumb for minutes. He clipped a new promethium tube into the compression tank and bolted it down. He wondered where his sergeant was at the moment, with the comm-links down.

OOC: I won't be able to post loads ATM as I've got GCSEs coming up in 2 weeks time, but after that I promise to give more posts than anyone else! If you think my character would react in a particular way, don't hesitate to write it down!

Dreph roused from his meditation to find himself alone. He thought to himself.

"What now? Hectoris! Where is he?!"

Dreph went to the med bay.

"Where is my Terminator Sergeant?!"

He burst into a room, finding Fulgrim and Hectoris.

"My lord?"

I ordered the security detail to round them all up and bring them to the holding cells and requested one of the chaplains to remove their religious believe.

After that i seeked out the leader and picked him up and screamed in his face.´´Why did you make me do this? You are human i don´t want to kill you why did you fall so deep to believe in a god that doesn´t exist.´´ I tossed him to the wall and took out my combat knive. and walked up to him. I said .´´ my brother you have fallen and will have to be punished acordingly but first.´´ I turned to brother sehiratu and asked. Could you gather all the information from his mind about members meeting places and converters. after that you can deal with him how you like my friend. if you are in need for a new servitor he is all yours.

Hectoris was quick to put on a show. "Yes my Lord," he said. "Thank you for your concern."
"Of course, my son. You did a very noble thing, volunteering for sacrifice. I am proud."

As Fulgrim left the room he glanced at Dreph, giving a courteous nod. Dreph bowed low as he passed by.
"Dreph, a pleasure." said Hectoris as Kalar came to stand over him. Hectoris was still sitting, and had been when Fulgrim had been there. To be allowed to sit in Fulgrims presence while the Primarch stood showed the level of respect and gratitude had for Hectoris' action.

"You forget your place as well Caecilius, as I am captain," He smiled. "How are you my friend?"

"Well, Captain. Surprisingly well. I have trouble adjusting to my new arm though," he said, indicating his bionic replacement."

He and Dreph sat in awkward silence for severa minutes before Hectoris said, "I'll bet you are wondering how I survived." He thought back to those last ten minutes inside the crumpling building. Dreph nodded.

"Meltabombs, as it turns out, have a ten second timer," Caecilius lied, through gritted teeth.

Nero had been following the Chaplains advice, trying to work out his stress in the practice cages. He had been with the legion for 279 years including his time as a scout, but for some reason he always felt wrong with his brothers. There were the obvious physical differences, but he assumed that was just luck of the draw with the gene pool. He also didn't feel the same reverence for Fulgrim as the others did, he had seen other primarchs before, and Fulgrim fit in with all the others, except the Warmaster. When Nero had seen Horus Lupercal being crowned Warmaster, he had felt what true love for a primarch is, and every other one fell flat. He made nothing of this because Horus was Warmaster and Nero assumed that all people loved the Warmaster best. His friend from the Sons of Horus, "Little Horus" Aximand, had agreed with him that everyone loved Horus most, but conceded that those beliefs may be because of his legion. Nero exited the cages and looked around, more stressed now than when he had entered

"Really Hectoris?"

"Yes, so I *random stuff*..."

"Well, that's certainly ingenious, Sergeant. Tell me, who were you talking to?"

Hectoris padded his hand behind him, trying to find the hilt of his blade/

"No-one sir, what do yo..."

He found the hilt. He clutched in in his bionic hand.

Hectoris and the Captain spoke for several minutes before and Apothecary ordered the Captain out, his rank meaning nothing to the medical staff. Hectoris ended the Captain's protest by claiming he needed rest. Hectoris needed no such thing, he wanted only to cease lying to his friend, even if he was not going to speak the truth. Hectoris lay on his bed, and thought back to those last ten minutes in the Eldar base. He had not exactly lied when he had said meltabombs had a ten second timer.

The one in the Eldar base did not. In fact, in didn't even have an arming mechanism. The one he had given Rephosus was a dummy bomb. When he had reached the Eldar base the second time, he had placed the active meltabomb, concealed beneath his armour, alongside the dummy. Before he had detonated, he had went to the main chamber, as Fulgrim instructed.

The purpose behind the mission was not destruction but capture. In the pommel of his sword, the emerald was not actually emerald. Instead, the green jewel like cube was a capture device of some kind, stolen from a race of livng mechanical beings. The device was capable of storing vast amounts of energy, and when used upon a being of energy, the being was trapped within untill release.

Fulgrim's plan had been to capture within it, the eldar god. Hera had told him they had brought their god, for a serious crime against the Eldar had been commited by the Cultits and Orks.

However, there had been one prolem. The Avatar, as she called it, was not completely energy. It was a being from energy, but was contained within a molten metal form. To capture it using the device, they would need something to penetrate its outer shell, the body and to conduct it into the crystal. As heat and electricity were forms of energy, metal would be suitable. The Master of the Forge had come up with the ingenius idea of placing it as part of a weapon. By stabbing the Avatar, its being would be conducted as heat through the blade and trapped in the pommel. Fulgrim believed he could harnass this energy of the Avatar to make himself and his fellows moe powerful.

Why Hera had helped them, no one knew, but Hectoris knew that from the moment he had reentered the Eldar base alone, he was on a short time limit to find the Avatar and penetrate its metal skin before the base collapse upon itself or the Eldar found and killed him.

It was by pure lck he had found the main chamber, empty, except for the Avatar. It had not been awakened yet, and was sitting on an enormous throne. Cold, blank, a statue.

It had all went down hill from there.

I walked to the med-bay after what happened and worried what happened to Caecilius. I walked inside the med-bay and i bowed to the captain and sergeant Caecilius and i said.'' Good day sergeant how are you now?'' While i looked at his body i saw a huge flaw i walked up to him and took his mechanical arm up and said. ''Sergeant you do know that your mechanical arm isn't even adjusted to your particular brainwave. Of course those apothecaries know nothing of technology.'' I fiddled a little with it and adjusted the control's and made it correspond with sergeant Caecilius's brainwave.

Gannicus hurried himself threw the halls of the ship, his impatience growing and rushing him to find his new sergeant.. It was not moments ago where he was informed of his placement. The memories of his former squad still fresh in his head, the scars of the battle still across his armor from helmet down to his studded boots.
They were only superficial scars that remind him of his past failure and the brothers he had lost. Gannicus stroked the top of his power axe that rested at his side, it's form more resembling a wing than an actual axe. It brought him comfort in his darkest of times and he preferred it on his person at all times.

He slowed his pace not actually knowing where to find this new Sargent of his and promptly asked for assistance from a passer byers "I am in need of assistance, would any of you have seen Sargent Marius Aloysus of the 'knights of basilisk' ? I am in search of him"
One of the armor clad Demi-gods took a pause then answered "I believe I saw the Sargent heading toward the practice cage"
"thank you brothers" with a slight bow Gannicus rushes off again, his movements seemingly always filled with haste. He was not far from the practice cages and quickly approached the sounds of combat. His pace slowed observing those in the practice cells until his eyes fell upon the man he loosely recognized as Sargent Aloysus. Watching his battle stance, motionlessly trying to perceive his next move.

As a space marine he has little to no ambition to lead only to fight, for the emperor and his brothers.))

Faberon was itching for a chance to fight. When there was nothing to do, not even train, but repair weaponry and armour that was near-perfect already, he started itching for a fight: for the tension as your rhino brings you closer and closer to the battle, for the raw emotion and feeling behind the screams of a burning enemy, the almost enjoyable pain if the enemy landed a hit, the superhuman adrenaline rush as you struck at an enemy with a combat blade or shot at then from close range with bolt pistol. He knew little of gods other than to obey the emperor at all times, and had paid less attention than his battle-brothers in his education, but he seemed to remember there was somewhere a god of emotion and feelings. He felt such a god would suit him in some way.

Dreph turned to Rephosus.

"Greetings, Marine."

Rephosus fiddled with Hectoris' bionic arm.

"Come with me."

Rephosus put down Hectoris' arm, and Hectoris went to his room. Rephosus tried to keep stride with Dreph.

"I fear for our Legion, Rephosus. Every day I have the same visions, a gruesome twisted beast trying to take me in."

Dreph thought for a moment.

"And on the planet, that Fortress. All of those shrines and strange Icons. Everything, it seems, is turning for the worst."

As he had entered the main chamber, Hectoris had been alone, except for the currently statue form of the Avatar. Or so he thought. From behind the chair came six warriors. They wereclearly skilled leaders, defined by their perfectly made equipment and and air or command.

"We have been waiting for you." said their leader, a blue armoured Warrior. Some sort of Dire Avenger. Behind him were the 5 others, clearly all of an aspect. Banshees, Fire Dragons, Striking Scorpians. A tall dark armoured warrior, clutching a long weapon that resembled some sort of missile launcher. Dark Reapers. A winged warrior clutching a long rifle. Swoopng Hawks.

Without warning, the 6 disappeared into the shadow. And then a growl akin to an erupting volcano shook the entire building. The Avatar wqas awkening. It rose like a great Titan of old Terra, shaking the floor with every step. This one was much larger and fiercer than the one Fulgrim and slain. The one Fulgrim had fought had been about the same height as Fulgrim, but this one towered over even Dreadnoughts and Land Raiders. It clutched in its hand a massive battleaxe. Every step was traced out by the molten footprints of the giant. It roared, causing Hectoris to stagger with the volume and ferocity. He would have to fight this beast.Hectoris bravely,. or perhaps foolishly, drew his blade.

The Avatar roared with a rage that echoed throughout the chamber, even as at that point the meltabomb detonated and the roof came crashing down. Reaching up, the Avatar smashe the debris from the air, causing only light grit to rain upon the space marine. The Eldar God swung its axe at Hectoris. Hectopris was quick, but the Avatar was just as, if not faster, the blade of its axe barely missing Hectoris. He could feel the blistering heat from inside his armour. He tried to stab the Avatar in the back of the hand but the statue had moved and armed itslef yet again. Hectoris armour had started to crack and the purple paint and burnt off in moments, leaving the bare grey of the ceramite and gold to show through. The Avatar swung its axe in a horixontal line, seeking to cut him in half. Hectoris ducked under, but was forced to raise his shield as the Avatar stepped on his. His shoulder burned with the heat and effort. The Avatar removed its foot but before he could recover, swung its axe again. Hectoris tried to raise his shield and rollaway, but the Avatar moved too fast and hit too hard. The blad cleaved through his stormshield and left in in two charred halves, while still continueing through to the floor, cuttuing his arm off completely. Hectoris screamed in pain, as the ferocious heat struck his barely wound, intensifying it tenfold. His armour began to melt and char in the corners of his leg joints and the edges of his boots. The blade was still in contact with the edges of the arm it had clove off, causing it become molten and run into his wound, causing Hectoruis to scream in absolute agony. It removed its axe and raised it into two hands, the battleaxe becoming a spear. The tip was touched to his chest, the breastplate warping at te touch. The Avatar raised its spear above its head, ready to deliver the final strike, stright through Hectoris.

I asked the captain. '' Sir what where those heretics doing you never told me what actually happened inside the fortress. Everything that i know is that they have fallen from the emperors light and that they ate their militia.''

''And captain don't worry as long as fulgrim is loyal to the emperor we will be perfect and prefail.'' I smiled to the captain and gave him his sword i took it from his chamber and cleaned it up.'' Sir i noticed your sword was a little chipped up so i fixed it for you. Now if you would excuse me captain i have to torture a religious leader.'' As i walked away i thought to myself what i said. ''As long as fulgrim is loyal to the emperor. '' And worried of the future of the legion.

Antioch walked up to Nero and spoke to him, "Brother, you do not seem to be at ease, would you like to spar with me?" He continued, "I must speak with you about some things."

Nero was slightly caught off guard by Brother Antioch waiting outside of the practice cage
"Certainly brother, what do you wish to speak of?" Nero said.

Gannicus felt the unease in his body slowly leave him, the sounds of battle and sight of his now sergeant and direct superior battle ready and in mid combat brought a calm to his being. A slow burning urge for combat crept up within him as he fought the impulse to charge in and fight alongside his brother.
Gannicus gripped the hilt of his power axe out in instinct. He did not wish to Impede on the sergeants training but then again he was never one for etiquette and doing the proper thing even before his superiors.

He wished to see what his new Sargent was capable of, but feared his own reaction if things got to..heated.

Dreph kept on walking. He was stuck deep in thought.

"What are these images? What could they mean?"

Dreph directed himself to the Lexicanum, trying to find the answer amongst piles of dataslates and texts. Not even that could quench his thirst for knowledge.

Angry with his failure, he went to his bay, ready to sleep.

As the Avatar raised its spear, ready to destroy him, Caecilius Hectoris rolled to one side, his severed arm causing him to call out in pain yet again. Ther Avatar realigned its weapon and prepared to strike, but Hectoris rolled away yet again. The Avatar was clearly not amused by this, its ceremonial strike ruined by his refusal to die, and placed its fott upon Hectoris chest. Hectoris felt the burning pain of the wound in his chest open up again, the stitches holding it together seared away instantly.

As the Avatar looked down at the struggling space Marine, he paised his weapon for the last time. Hectoris uttered a prayer to the Emperor and stabbed the Avatar in the foot with his sword. The blade skittered off the metal. He stabbed again and again, untill his blade sunk in deep, just as the Avatar swung its weapon, aiming to spear him on the end of its weapon. It stopped just a few inches from Hectoris, the blade, whatever it was made of, clearly causing it great pain. Seeing his opportunity, Hectoris pressed the activation key on the Xenos device that made the pommel of the sword. It flashed a brilliant green. The Avatar howled loud enough to shake the ground. The cracks along its body and eyes, once filled with fire and lava, grew grey and cold, the furious heat turning to warmth and stone. At that point, Hectoris withdrew his blade, even as the explosions tore through the facility. A massive coloum fell upon the pair. It would not have hit Hectoris, but the Avatar, or the statue that had once been the Avatar, was crushed and smashed to dust. Free from the foothold, Hectoris had grabbed the blade and ran for his life, ducking and smashing through obstacles. Upon reaching the grass hill where he had left the kill team, he had contacted the company before passing oput.

The next time he woke up was when he was being wheeled into the medical facility of the Pride of the Emperor. He immediately closed his eyes, unnoticed and pretended to be still unconcious. Moments later, he heard Fulgrim order everyone, even the Lord Commander, out of the room. One Apothecaries had refused. Fulgrim killed him on the spot. Fulgrim had two servitors collect the body and bring it out the back. The cover story would be he had tripped over a servitorand had broken his neck. Such a thin lie, but no one would argue with Fulgrim or call him a liar, after all. A servitor, completely innocent, was destroyed and used for parts to reinforce the cover. Upon entering, Fulgrim asked him if he had done it. He replied he had. Fulgrim asked him where it was.

Hectoris, as yet untreated by the Apothecaries, reached down, to where he had taken the spear thrown by the Guardian, and reached inside his wound, pulling out the cube. No longer did it shine with emrald light, but with the fiery ruby colour. The fury of a caoptured god.

Fulgrim had replaced the mising pomel of the sword with an emerald cube. This was no wondrous device, simply a gem. The Pheonocian refused to say his intentions afterward.

Hectoris woke. Several Apothecaries were nearby. Other than that he was alone. nHe had to know what Fulgrim planned to do. He rose and grabbed his sword with his new bionic arm, fixed to his brainwaves by Rephosus. That young rookie would make a beautiful weaponsmith if he wasnt so attached to Segari, he thought. Segari. He hadn't spoken to anyone except the captain and Fulgrim since running off for the "suicide mission." He wondered how everyone was. The last thing he had said to Segari was that "No one was perfect." Of coarse, he had no idea why he saidthat. The Emperor was perfect. Fulgrim was perfect. Horus, the Warmaster, was perfect. The Legion was perfect. How could they not be?

Antioch led Nero over to a cage, obviously meant for two marines, he pulled the power cell out of his sword. "Can you practice and converse at the same time?"

Nero holstered his bolter and pulled out his combat blade. It was fine Medusan steel given to him as a present by an Iron Hands Techmarine.
"I was born to sir." He said and dropped into a fighting stance

Gannicus Pulled himself away from the entrace to the practice cage, stepping backward until he hit a wall. With his Eyes closed his enhanced hearing relayed back to him as much sound possible from the multiple practice cells. The faint echoes of clashing weapons and the unmistakable scraps and impacts of ceramite Power armor.

His mind swam with images of war, the hiss off his power axe burning away the xenos blood after he cleaved into their filthy forms. His grip on his axe tightening along with his chest as he felt his body begin to burn. The anger that swelled in him was only second to the pleasure he felt with thoughts of slaughter.

The enjoyment he felt in regards to battle disturbed him, it was different from his normal zeal for combat It somehow felt perverse. He removed his helmet and took a deep breath distancing himself from his earlier thoughts.
His face nearly as scared as his armor, the scars creeping up the left side of his face. They were new 'additions' from his most recent of missions to 210 years of collection.
"I will wait for him here.." he spoke to the wind.. Or he would have if there had been any wind aboard the ship.
He stood at attention in wait. His helmet tucked under his right arm and his left to his side.

(Im in wait of my Sargent or a passer byer, so i might not post until addressed)

Dreph stirred to find the Apothecaries looming over him.

"Neeeeeeeeeyur - Wha...?"

"Your Terminator Sergeant has to have been hospitalized again."

Dreph stood up.

"Doesn't surprise me. Take care of him. I have other business to attend to."

The Apothecaries left the room. Dreph followed soon after, headed to the Imperial Shrine to meditate.

Hectoris turned over inhis sleep.

Aloysus stepped out of the practice cage to find a scarred marine waiting for him. "You are Gannicus, are you not?" he said with a smile. "I am Sergeant Aloysus, it is a pleasure to meet you!"

Antioch exchanged blows with the younger marine, he told him about the the monster, what it had done, and asked him if he had been troubled as well..

"Awaken, Hectoris, said the voice. It was cool and clear. That of a women. Hectoris turned around. Time flowed differently here. Things further away moved faster than those closer, and things blurred as he spun around to face the Daemon. He was whole again. His arm was never severed, his hammer in his hand, shield upon his arm. The Daemon stood before him. Beckoning. Waiting for him. "Come with me, " it said.

I arrived at the prison area and already heard the sounds of agony an almost soothing sound.

I arrived at the cell of the leader of the lectatio divinatus group.
And greeted my brother sehiratu ''how is he?''

Sehiratu said. ''he has been resisting but i have succesfully gotten almost all the names of the members.''

After looking at them i said.''Thats good i will show them to my terminator sergeant he is a very ''precise'' marine and will torture them to get back to the emperors light.''

After that i walked off to sergeant Hectoris's room.

"Walk with me, Gannicus" Aloysus said. "Tell me about yourself, and feel free to ask me any questions you may have."

The Daemon moved in closer to Hectoris. he was bound to his position by invisible bonds. She whispered. "Come to me, Caeciliussss..."

With a feral Roar Caecilius broke free. The Daemon was caught unprepared, and screamed as Hectoris grabbed her and broke her over his knee. A sound caused him to turn.

Clap. Clap. Clap.

He turned to see anoher beast of the warp. It was no women, no seductress. It was a devil-spawn, skin as red as blood. Fangs jutted out from its maw and curving black horns curled from its head. It had a ragged black blade impaled into the non-ground, for there was no space in here. Only direction. The beast plucked his sword and strode over to hectoris. Hectoris swung his blade, but the Daemon easily countered. He tried to strike again but found the black tip pressed to his throat, burning with a heat to rival that of the Avatar.

My master is please with you, Caecilus, "it said. "Unlike your kin, you have resisted the temptations of his most loathed enemy, and serve his purpose with gusto. Your rage and battle lust, as well as your martial prowess, has seen you favour. He has instructed me to come here to tell you, that he has, a proposition for you."

"And who is your master?" Hectoris replied.

Hectoris was woken by Rephosus. The devastator said tyhat cultists, ones who despise the Emperor and worship false gods. He was asking guidiance on their punihment. Under normal circumstances it would be Fulgrim or one of the Lord Commanders who would decide their fate.


"Take me to them, now." Hectoris arose and followed the novice, wearing only the cloth skirt he had slept in. On his way past he grabbed his blade.

"Contact the techmarines. Have them bring the prisoners an assortment of melee weapons. And then enjoy."

Gannicus body remained rigid as Aloysus addressed him. He was not accustomed to such a greeting. His past squad was lead by a rigid perfectionist who insisted on harsh punishments to insure he gained the best if his men.
A brief pause passes before he responded but when he did he did so in a respectful tone "Sir, yes I am Griffith Gannicus. It is a honor to be accepted into your squad sergeant Alloysus"
his stiff body relaxed as he walked alongside his new sergeant.
"well sir there is little to say about myself. I live to serve the emperor. In my previous squad I excelled in hand to hand combat which resulted in me being granted my power axe and a place nearly always arms length from our enemies" he smirked a little with the idea, it was not pride but joy reflecting on such things.
"questions?.. Well sergeant Alloysus my only possible questions must be in regard to the knights of basilisk. I have heard little of your squad sir and must admit am curious to learn more"
He was more curious if the Sargent was told what had happen a couple days ago, his failure in protecting his brothers.. And those things.. Those pale skinned horrors that slaughtered his squad mates.

"I haven't had any trouble with this monster, but I have had strange dreams. Im beginning to feel like I don't belong here, like my true brothers are all gone. Like I am a lone wolf prowling in the shadow of another pack." Nero admitted, wondering what type of reaction he would get

Segari had awoken from his slumber. He didn't bother getting his armour on, opting for fine silk robes. He turned on the vox caster with Bequa Kynska bellowing out music. He wondered where Rephosus was considering he had not talked much with the boy since their return.

He forgot the thought and proceeded to cut some fruit from the world they had visited. Remembrancers had collected it for him along with a number of other plants and wildlife. For now Segari would enjoy himself, for he knew of the ordeal to come.

Hectoris decapitated the cultists, before spinning and punching another's head from his shoulders. The last cultist, armed with a combat knife, stabbed him in the back. The wound was but a scratch, not a few millimeters deep. Hectoris turned and waited for the heretic to strike again. As he expected, the traitor rushed forward. Hectoris simply stuck out his sword and the cultists impaled himself. Of the 20 cultists who had been imprisoned, 12 had fought. The others were huddled in a corner, covered in the blood of those that had fought. The bodies were lying on the ground. It had taken little more than a minute to kill them all.

"Please, m-m-m-my lord," stuttered an elderly man, "w-w-w-we m-m-m-meant n-n-no harm. W-w-we just-"

He never finished. Hectoris had been ignoring Hhim. At that point Hectoris had picked up a stormbolter and spray rounds into the roup, killing all of them, but one. A young women. Quite attractive by human standards. Blood frothed from her mouth as she tried to crawl away. Hectoris sprayed another few rounds into her. He was about to turned away and then stopped. He turned back and emptied the nearly full magazine into her body alone. He had enjoyed that little, excersise, if it could be called that.

Hectoris turned to Rephosus, who had been standing at the door, watching.

"Send someone to clean that filth up, I am going back to bed."

"You wish to know about my Basilisks?" Aloysus replied. "We have the honour of being the finest linebreakers in the 9th, possibly the Legion, a reputation we have fought hard for. Your close combat abilities will be a fine addition to our ranks, and I expect great things from you, as I do of all of my squad. I personally have been a Basilisk for nearly 200 years and I have led the squad for almost 60. We take whatever the enemy can throw at us, be it troops or tanks and through our perfection we prevail. We aim ever higher, as our Lord Fulgrim expects."

"Is there anything you would like to tell me, Gannicus? I know your old squad was destroyed in combat, and you mustn't blame yourself for that. Remember, you can tell me anything, and I will always give you any and all of the help and support I can. If there is nothing more you wish to ask or tell me then you may retire, and I will see you for drills tomorrow."

Dreph found the Captain of the Ship.

"Where are we headed to, brother?"

The captain checked the dataslate.

"A planet known as Pyrona, apparently. The citizens there have reported sightings of strange men, made of living metal."

"I see..."

Dreph made an announcement to the 9th company.

"Attention brothers! We have our next target. Expected arrival time is 15 hours. End announcement."

Dreph cracked a grin. He was all too familiar with the creatures on Pyrona.

After contacting the shift commander to send some men to clean up, i walked towards the shooting range.

While walking i ran into sergeant aloysus he was talking with someone i hadn't seen before i said. ''Good day sergeant Aloysus is this the new member to your squad.'' As i looked at him i saw a power axe and i said to him. ''Hello i am devestator brother rephosus are you the new member to the basilisks ?''

Rephosus approached them as they passed through the corridors. ''Good day, Sergeant Aloysus, is this the new member to your squad?'' he asked. "It is indeed. Gannicus, meet Rephosus of the Archers of the Rayven Devastator squad, currently serving under Sergeant Segari. He is a fantastic recruit and a good shot. I have my eye on him, although I suspect he is headed for service as a Techmarine." Aloysus said

Gannicus listend to his Sargent speak listening to each word with care as was in his nature to do so. He silently nodded to acknowledge he was listening until the Sargent was done speaking. "Thank you Sargent Alloysus, I will Do my best for the squad and to live up to both yours and lord fulgrims expectations."
He had no more questions. He relaxed pushing his worried thoughts to the back of hid head where they belonged.

Soon he found himself introduced To Reposus.
Gannicus faintly smiled extending his arm/hand in greetings "Greetings brother, As my new Sargent has said I am Gannicus the newest of us brothers to be part of the Knights of Basilisk." "tech-marine? That is a noble endeavor, if that is your aspiration I hope to see it come to pass"

As Hectoris drifted into slumber, he found himself back in that same place. The distorted world. There was no she-creature there this tiome. Just the red skinned beast, with a ragged black sword. Hectoris was unarmouredand clutched only his sword.

"Welcome back." said the Daemon.

"I have questions for you, beast.."
"As you wish."

"What are you? Where is this? Who is your master? Who are you. And what is this proposition?"


"Many, many questions. Let's start with the first one.

We, my kin and I, even the she-creature you slew here last time, we are all the same. Individuals, but subject to the whims of our master. The last time civilisation found us, they called us "Daemons". Daemons of Chaos. You and your people seemed to call tus that to. Your gene-uncle, of the grey armoured warriors of your own kin, they found us days ago. They called us that too."

Hectoris tried to ask who he spoke of. The "Daemon" silenced him. Apparently his questions were asked and were being answered.

"Secondly, you have been here before. This is the Warp. This is where spirit and emotion resides and sleep brings the innermost thoughts to the forefront. So you come here, if you are summoned or are strong enough to.

Thirdly, my master. He has gone by many names. Your grey armoured brothers have not yhet named him. Eons ago he was called Kharnath by his followers. His name is unimportant. He is a God of the Warp. of Chaos. He is the Blood God and Lord of Battles.

I, have also gone by many names. You may call me what you wish, but I would prefer Scarspite.

Finally, the main event!" The Daemon swung his sword up to rest across his shoulder. "But first, a chal...."

Hectoris was woken by the sound of Captain kalar over the ox system on board the ship. 15 hours untill they landed on the next world. Hectoris rolled over and tried to regain sleep. He was shortly disturbed yet again by a servitor. The servitor just managed to avoid getting smashed to the ground, by the ill tempered veteran space marine, just about saving itself by handing him a recording. It was Lord Commander Eidolon. Fulgrim wanted to see him in his quarters immediately.

With a groan, Hectoris rolled out of his cot and dress in a fine silk robe made of the purest white fabric, lined with the deep purple and shing gold of the Legion. Before the latest conquest such things would have made him take notice but right now he disliked the soft matierial. hectoris walked past the servitor, shoving it away, before making his way to the armour. There, he exchanged his robe for his new suit of armour. It felt much better to wear.

Then, he amde his way to the Primarch's personal chambers, where few were permitted to go uninvited, and only the Emperor and his sons were permitted to enter unannounced. Even the Emperor would still have to make an appointment to get in, was a common joke around Hectoris' squad. As he stood at the staircase, four of the Pheonix Guard, Fulgrims greatest warriors and personal guardians, flanked him to escort him to his destination.

After exchanging pleasantries with gannicus i decided i should come to the subject at hand. ''So brother i hope you are ready for battle we will most likely be deployed as the first line of attack.

That means 50% chance of completely no help. Also hard fighting if we make a small fault all of us will die that is why we must be perfect.

I know you area a very capable soldier and i have seen your combat record. But i just wanted to inform you now if you would excuse me gannicus, sergeant alloysus i will have to report to the armory.'' After making a small bow to the sergeant i left

I felt haunted by the deamon only this time it felt different and a voice whispered about knowledge of the universe.

Aloysus bid farewell to Gannicus and headed towards his armoury. Once he was in his armour he voxed his squad "Prepare for planetary landing, eta 15 hours."

Gannicus kept his silence listening to the advice and instructors of his battle-brothers. He was well aware of the 'challenges' they could face in the war they waged but appreciated this warning he was receiving.
He nodded "understood."
They all went their sperate ways. Gannicus always had a dull calm before missions something like 'the calm before the storm' but it was a little different now. He felt at ease after the brief encounter with his Sargent and Devestator Reposus.
"15 hours.." he was still in his armor and carrying his axe. His plasma pistol was destroyed in his last 'go around'
"bolters and bolt pistols it is"
Speaking to himself was a bad habit, not speaking to his battle brothers was a worse one he had to overcome being in a new squad.
He placed his helmet back upon his head, the red runes Taking life within. He marched himself to the area they would meet to proceed with the mission, maybe he would find a good bolter.. Perhaps a scope?

Dreph came to the armoury to prep his equipment and to request any weapons that may be needed for the mission ahead. He stumbled into Aloysus whilst searchding for the master of the forge.

"Greetings, Sergeant."

Aloysus put down the powered glaive that he was holding. Dreph then picked it up and began to inspect it.

"Indeed, Captain. Do you have any idea what we are facing? I need to pick my weapons."

Dreph placed the sword in the scabbard, unaware of the great powers that lay within.

"We are headed to Pyrona, a key Forge World. Residents have reported strange creatures made of living metal attacking them, and it is up to us to save them."

Aloysus thanked Dreph for the information, and went back to rummaging through the weapons.

Dreph was captivated by the blade, however. He looked across it's gleaming blue metal, and at the glowing runes.

Dreph, finished, went to his room, and there he fainted. He came to a place not unlike the realm of the Serpent, where he was met by a great 2 vulture headed creature.

"I am Fateweaver, Captain. My master has been watching your acts with great interest."

The devastator sergeant made his way to the drop pods. The ship was alive with activity preparing for the massive assault against the forge world. His new squad was prepared to decimate any that came with range. He had adopted a lascannon from the armory, blessing it with the appropriate rites and cleaning rituals. Still he carried his hand crafted blade by his side.

Segari still frantically searched for Rephosus. He would need him as his two newly initiated marines were fresh, and he would need his experience. His command of his troops were lately proving disastrous and he would not fail again in the coming campaign.

Hectoris met with the Jaded Watch for the first time since Hectoris had embarked upon that special mission. Magnus Malvarian and the other 3 stood waiting in the bridge. Whereas the others were descending via Drop Pod to initiate a planetstrike attack, the Watch were being held in reserve untill the machine men revealed themselves. They would lock onto a teleport homer, of which Sgt Aloysus, Antioch and Captain Kalarb were all carrying, and act as counterattacking force, the hammer to the anvil. Hectoris carried his new shield. His other one had been destroyed by the Eldar war god. This new one was a perfect circle and bore his personal herealdry, a reward for his bravery and self sacrifise. His entire squad were also kitted with new armour. It was top of the line "Tartaurus" pattern Terminator Armour, the best armour yet made. The machimne men they were fighting were said to carry weapons capable of stripping the armour from a tank in seconds and their guns could be in one of two forms, either firing bursts of electricity or green energy pulses.


Fulgrim had contacted him before battle. Apparently these were the same creatures from whom the device that had been on the pommel of his sword had been stolen. He was told to be careful.

Speaking of which, he needed to find his sword. He asked a nearby Techmarine. Apparently the captain had it. He was travelling via Drop Pod along with the Knights of the Basilisks. The Techmarine said he saw Dreph heading for his quarters for meditation. Hectoris grumbled but silently made his way there. He was becoming increasingly moody of late.


As he approached door B32-Alpha, Dreph Kalar's room, he slowed and knocked. He waited for the answer but none came. Hectoris entered, checking to see if the Captain was in or just too deep in thought to notice.

"Captain? Sorry for the interuption..."

He saw the Captain passed out on the floor.

"Kalar!" He opened a vox channel to the Apothecarium. "Get an Apothecary here. I am with Captain Kalar, he appears to be unconcious. Room B32-Alpha."

I walked to the drop pod bay with my newly adopted autocannon. I decided i should report to the master of the forge and i turned around.

Just before i entered the forge i saw sergeant segari and i stopped in my tracks i bowed down and said. ''Its a honour to meet you again sergeant would you mind accompanying me to the forge i have something for you. ''

The Knights of the Basilik were strapped into their drop pod, their weapons stowed. Sergeant Aloysus had his combi melta in a rack above him, his combat knife on his right hip and a new power sword from the armoury on his left hip. The drop pod lurched as it was lifted into the launch bay, pointing to the Forge World below.

"Launch sequence initiating: 3 seconds to launch" Blared the internal vox.

"Knights of the Basilik, today we fight to free this planet from the scourge of AI technology. Our opponents are mindless automatons, fearless and without mercy. This will be a hard fight, but we shall prevail. We are the knife edge that shall lead the Legion's advance, and our Lord Fulgrim himself watches us!" Aloysus said.

"2 seconds to launch"

"We have amongst us a new brother, and we welcome him with open arms. He joins us on our journey to perfection, and we shall be forged in battle into true brothers, in fire and steel. He shall do us proud, and I honour him!" Marius shouted.

"1 second to launch"

"Children of the Emperor!" Thundered Aloysus.

"Death to His Foes!" Came the bellowed reply, and with a mighty kick the Knights of the Basilisk were sent hurtling towards the surface of the world below.

Faberon's heart was pounding as it always did, always had done on the journey to the drop pods. It had been too long since he had seen a creature burn from his burning promethium. It had been far too long since he had battled at all, and he had been growing mad with the wait. He turned the final corner to his drop pod.
He had even been getting images flashing into his mind.
He opened the door to the drop pod.
Images of women-daemons.
He pulled the straps round himself.
Daemonettes.
He checked his flamer for the last time.
And they had seemed at once evil and perfect to his mind's eye.
He locked closed the straps.
They were emotion.
He checked how many of his squad were here so far.
Raw feeling.
6 including himself, 4 to go.
What power could be found within such raw emotion?
3 to go if his sergeant was off on a special mission again.
Surely nothing could be better than that kind of power?
The remainder of his squad slowly trickled in. By then he had stopped noticing. He was waiting for battle. Death. Blood. Adrenaline. The essence of battle. The essence of power. The essence of she who thirsts.
The pods launched. A smile crept over Faberon's face.

"If you agree, mighty psychic powers will be at your command."

Dreph considered the proposal.

"Why am I so impressive?"

"You are always striving to manipulate the world around you. My master has been needing emissaries to strengthen his cause, and you have proved an ideal candidate."

Dreph was liking the sound of this.

Then black.

He opened his eyes to see the Apothecary hanging over him.

"Are you alright, my lord?"

"I am fine. Direct me to the Drop Pods. This planet won't save itself!"

"Rephosus we barely have enough time to look at the armory, we are about to make our landing" Segari noticed the disappointment on his face.
He placed his hand on the young marines shoulder,"I am sorry, but this planet needs us right now". With that he turned with his sqaud and headed for the drop pods.

"Come with me Captain,"£ said Hectoris. "By the way, I need my balde back." He indicated the blue power sword.

Kalar smiled as he handed back the sword and they set off for the drop pod bay.

I entered the drop pod and put my autocannon above me and with 2 bolt pistols in my hand i prepared for the drop.

I voxed quickly to captain kalar. ''sir what is the precise location where we will deploy? ''

The drop pod rocketed towards the surface, the marines laughing and joking.

The pod was rocketing down with incredible speed

I felt different like something was watching me and then i had a vision a huge monster almost mechanical but also with shifting flesh and with a strangely human like voice

It said ''mortal come to my said i will bring you all the knowledge of all the machines you will command all the technology this universe has to offer and you will live eternal machine will fuse with you and you will be supreme''

I looked at it but before i could answer i felt the impact of the drop pod. I stepped out and regrouped with sergeant aloysus.

The drop pod hit the ground with incredible force. The bars holding the Basilisks in place sprang up and they jumped to their feet grabbing their weapons. "Go, go, go!" Aloysus shouted, and they sprinted out of the drop pod as the ramps blew outwards. The Knights of the Basilisk formed up quickly and secured a perimeter, awaiting orders. Nearby Aloysus could see Segari's Devastators doing the same.

"Gentlemen," Aloysus said "Welcome to Pyrona!"

Dreph then told the Watch about his mission.

"Sir, your Drop Pod is ready." crackled the servitor.

"No need. We're not going with the rest."

"Is that wise?"

Dreph and the Watch activated their teleporters, finding themselves deep within the Labyrinth.

The pod had dropped and he found himself rushing off onto this new world lining up alongside the rest of his squad. They seemed as capable as any other squad amongst their legion. He lined up his power axe at one hip and a bolt pistol at the other. His hands held his stalker bolter at the ready. The idea of A.I. And fighting mechanical marionettes didn't sit well with him. Felt wrong. Tearing flesh and breaking bones was more his preference. A enemy that knows no fear knows no pain was alluring but just reminded him of lashing out against servitors.
He shook off the needless thoughts and focused on the devastators so near his own.

Gannicus stood at the ready peering into the surrounding area of the forge world, so many places for an enemy to lay in wait. "hunting metal men on a metal world, heh" he was speaking more to himself than anything but it was obvious the idea didn't sit well with him.

I had the autocannon strapped to my back. and with my twin bolt pistols in my hand i walked over to sergeant aloysus and i said. ''Sergeant i advice we move to the local forge if we are in luck we can get some skitarii or even some legio cybernetica as assistance.''

The Knights started taking fire straight away. Two green pulses lanced across the area, one of them passing through a Bolter Marine's head. After the Marine hit the floor, a vivid green halo appeared above the others.

"What's going on?" asked one of the Marines

"We are Deathmarked" replied Aloysus grimly.

Aloysus saw a marine fall. It was one of his Basilisks. Green haloes appeared over the Basilisk's heads. "Dammit, take cover!" he shouted. "Segari, take the left flank. Find some high ground and lay down some covering fire. Antioch, take your squad around to the right, see if you can flank them. My Basilisks are going up the center. We'll show them why we are the Legions finest linebreakers!"

The Basilisks ducked behind cover, waiting for the other squads to find their places. "Basilisks, this will be a hard assault. Gannicus, I want you with me at the spearhead. Your power axe will come in handy here. Meltagunner, keep your eyes out for any targets. We assault on my order."

Dreph voxed Aloysus.

"Sergeant, I am on a covert mission under the orders of higher powers."

"Which ones?"

"Never you mind!"

Dreph began to wander through the corridors. Suddenly, a massive spider-like machine jumped out in front of them.

After running into cover i took out my autocannon and targeted the enemy. I spotted one of the metal beings and opened fire my first burst shot it to the ground and i targeted a second one with a frag grenade. After that i rushed forward and shot both of the bodies 2 times in the head as i was advised to do.

After that i returned to providing fire support for the basilisks.

But i felt a weird feeling and out of nothing a flying being appeared right in front of me. I jumped back and directly fired at it the close range of my autocannon made it practically burst apart.

A lttle piece of its armour splintered into my mechanical eye but instead of destroying it. It fused and actually increased its performance. I voxed sergeant alloysus and said. ''Sir along with their snipers there is a invisible enemy with them advance with caution.''

"Acknowledged, Rephosus." replied Aloysus. "Basilisks, front and centre. Charge!" ordered Aloysus, slinging his bolter and unsheathing his power sword. The Basilisks crossed the open ground in an instant, their charge hammering home with destructive force, sending the snipers reeling. Aloysus cut down one of the snipers, and Gannicus hacked down another. The others were destroyed by close range bolter fire, their bodies phasing out of existence. There was a flicker, and three tall creatures appeared, slicing at a marine, gouging deep scars in his armour.

"Looks like we have a fight on our hands lads!" Aloysus said into the vox as he charged the Wraiths.

As the squad of Wraiths was engaged by Aloysus and the Basilisks, the Archers of the Rayven were still getting their gak pushed in their faces. A squad of Flayed Ones had assaulted them, meaning the long range firepower of the Astartes was out of action. The situation was only going to get worse, as the Necrons hadn't even fired any big guns yet.

That was all about to change. A blinding blue flash blazed across the battlefield momentarily. A Monolith now stood in what was previously open ground. A high-pitched whine filled the air, and one of the Drop Pods was reduced to a smoking crater. The portal on the the front of the Monolith pulsed a sickening green and Lychguard began running out, slamming into the Marines swinging Warscythes and Hyperphase Swords to deadly effect.

Gannicus was readied when the assualt began his stalker bolter at the ready firing into the wall that was their enemy killing or rather decomishing a few of their enemies before falling back to cover when enemy fire increased. The streaking green bolts coming uncomfortably close.
"damned machines" he gritted his teeth before hearing his sargent speak. Orders gave him direction and peace. "my axe is glad to hear it sir"
He pulled his power axe out and followed Aloysus forward into battle.
With a muffled battle cry he tore into the enemy slashing and hacking at them while keeping pace with the unit. The firing of his bolter in close quarters being enough to damage a couple of these automations at once but he stuck to his axe. He smashed them with his elbow and made point to tear them asunder.

Three wraiths broke between Gannicus and Aloysus. Gannicus's axe sparked back to life hissing as it sliced threw them. The last was met with the dull thud of his boot hurling it away from Aloysus and sending it impacting into more if it's kind. It attempted to regroup itself but was met with bolter rounds for it's trouble.
"their sturdier than they look" he was amused as he picked up the pace.

Nero and Antioch sprinted into the drop bay, embarking in their pods. As they strapped in Faberon joked, "A little late, Sergent? I am urgent for action." "Enjoy trying to burn our metal foes Faberon." Within a few minutes they were on the ground. They landed near the Archers of the Rayven. Antioch charged out of the drop pod, Nero and Faberon at his side. The great machines would quickly overwhelm the devestators. Segari felled only a single one of the towering metal warriors, dueling with a second, he could not fight them off alone. A warrior with a massive axe like weapon was bearing down on Rephosus. It struck at him, he pushed his middle launcher into the center of the weapon, the monster countered by hitting him with the butt of the weapon, preparing to swing down and cleave the young marine in twain. As the large weapon swung down, a curved point emerged from the chest of the metal warrior. "Watch yourself, young one." Antioch said. The Griffin Brethren gun and cut down 2 of the remaining warriors, as Segari finished the final one. As they collected themselves, metal hands emerged from the ground. As the grotesque figures covered in the skin and flesh of their victims, Faberon stepped out in front of the others and raises his weapon, the Antioch heard him mutter, "finally something that will actually burn."

The roar of promethium smothering the bodies of the fallen enemies was exhilerating in the extreme. All too soon they were on the move again, and this time were running towards the sniper unit that had teleported in and was aiming at them. Another roar of flame rushed towards them, felling two, before the remainder of the squad finished them off, although one went down in the process. This battle would be good.

Segari peered out of cover. He quickly realised the mistake, ducking his head as green energy blasted a chunk of the wall. His sqaud was pinned but giving sporadic supressive fire with heavy bolter and autocannon rounds. They had lit the ruined building up with a barrage of fire, although the snipers seemed to be constantantly surving.

The Basilisk's had charged under the cover of Rayven's storm. Now they waited as the building was being cleared. Segari took the calm to peer across the landscape. It was completely industrial, smoke billowing out of every orifice of the city polluting the sky in a thick clog of ash.

Segari was broken from his gaze, as he saw the ground shift beneath him. He had thought one of the enemies bodies had moved. Certainly after such destruction upon it's body it could not move? Rephosus ushered a Marx forward to inspect. Marx proded the the limp arm of the machine with the smoking end of his heavy bolter. He turned and shrugged at Seagri. The marine didn't see it coming.

A spine like rod erupted from Marx's chest. Over the vox he could hear his gargled scream's as the metal beast then began to slash his impaled body. Segari mercifully fired a bolt into the marines head. The limp body slid off the spine revealing the metal serpeant assasin. It stood no chance as Rayven unleashed vengence into it, cracking and shredding it to it's basic components.

The spider like walker shot its laser again. Hectoris and his squad were hunkered down behind cover. Kalar signalled to advance, and held up a meltacharge. Hectoris nodded his acknowledgement. They were afraid of voxing incase the machines intercepted the comms.

Hectoris rose out of cover and raised his shield as he charged forth, Malvarian and another terminator at his side, forming a wall of energy to protect kalar as they advanced. As they neared the walker, they parted, allowing the Captain of the 9th to hurl his melta bomb. Before the charge reached the metal monstrosity, apiloted by a metal skelton warrior, a green energy field disingtergrated the hurled charge. Dumbfounded, Hectoris barely survived the white-hot laser, the beam missing him by just a hair's bredth, and would have cut him in half and he not reflecte it with his shield. How were they to penetrate its shielding? Hectoris rolled as the heat ray came towards him again, rolling towards the walker. Hectoris realised his mistake in an instant. But the shields did not go up. He moved right up the thing and still was not affected. It must only protect against projectiles.

"jaded Watch, use your hammers! Its shiedling doersn't affect hostiles, just basilistics and projectiles!"

I took both of my bolt pistols because i was forced to fight in close range. I shot one of the metal beings that was rushing towards me with a glowing metal axe 8 times in the face. But before moving on i looked for a area that held a machine matrix or something like that.

I found nothing after sighing i took my autocannon and fired at the monolith i was lucky and hit the portal apparently it was a weak spot and its main gun exploded but the rest of the machine remained.

After that i voxed to sergeant segari. ''sergeant use your lascannon on that portal like i did it is a weak spot.''

Aloysus dealt with the last of the Wraiths, swinging his powersword in a deadly arc that removed its head from it's shoulders, before hacking its body apart, breaking it until it phased out. "Squad, address!" He shouted, and the Basiliks pivoted, firing at the the Licheguard as they approached, felling one. Marius' melta attachment felled another, causing it tonphase out instantly. As the remainder of the automatons closed Aloysus ordered the counter charge, the marines slamming into their opponents. Marius began hacking a path towards the Monolith. "Gannicus, meltagunner, with me! Aim for the Monolith, protect the melta until we can get in range. The rest of you, form a fighting wedge behind us, stop them from cutting us off." Marius set off, leading the way with his power sword cutting a deadly path through the Licheguard. He smiled as his marines fell into a perfect formation behind him. These machines would never match the perfection of his Basilisks.

As the Archers fired on the Monolith, jet like Warriors of the enemy zoomed overhead. "Segari!!" Antioch yelled through the vox, tell Rephosus to change targets, enagage the airborne enemies, his autocannon is ineffective against the heavy armour of that vehicle!"

Dreph Kalar hurled himself at the mechanical spider. Beams of white light shot out at him, but the Energy Field generated by the Iron Halo proved stalwart in defense.

"CHARGE!"

The Jaded Watch began to run at the walker, pushing every power unit and motor to the limit. The white rays dissipated across their shields, turning to nothing.

Dreph jumped upon the metal arachnid, aiming to destroy the pilot. The Stalker tried to shake him off, moving frantically and crashing into walls.

Nero popped out of his Drop Pod and fired his bolter in two sharp bursts. Explosive rounds bit into metal and in brilliant flashes of green the metallic warriors disappeared. A green haze came up around his head and he rolled behind a pillar to protect himself. He peeked out and shot again, his bullets exploding around the defensive position of the Necrons.

Hectoris and his squad moved away from the aracnoid walker. Kalar was on top of it, trying to slash at the pilot with his claws, but the machine was smashing into walls and spinning wildily, trying to shake of the commander of the Brotherhood of Orion. hectoris and the Watch were forced to withdraw. If that thing stepped uopn them they would be crushed, no matter what type of plate they were wearing or how strong their shields were. The would have to wait this one out.


Hectoris kept one eye on the corridor to huis left and his squad watched the route they had come and the corridor to the right. There was nothing more they could do. Hectoris turned back to watch the fighting. He hated feeling so uselss. his place was to fight, no to watch. It appeared as though Kalar had had enough. Gripping the machine with his Clawed hand, he popped the magazine fom his Twin-Bolter, and loaded one of Veneance ronds, unstable bolt rounds with a dangerous flux core. Raising his twin bolter, and desperately hoping the shields wouldn't activate this close, he fired5 rounds into the mechanical pilot. 3 went into its chest, and 1 into its skull. As the pilot crashed to the ground, Kalar flun himslf from the collapsing machine, landing with a thunk and a great dent in the floor, the ferrocrete cracking beneath his weighty armour. Hectoris gave a nod of approval, not easy in the restrictive armour, but nod he did. As the turned to continue, one of the Terminators shouted something, pointing at the pilot withn his hammer. hectoris didn't need to hear. The pilot was back on its feet, and clutched a lengthy spear, topped with an axe blade that glowed a sickly green, a smaller blade on the opposite end of it. kalar wasted no time in pouring serveral more vengeance rounds into it, felling it for the second time. Again the ceature rose, advancing slowly but menacingly. It was almost unnerving.

hectoris charged in, sword raised, reay for the strike. Without warning his sword was snatched from his hand, as a machine, piloted by another of the metal Skeletons. The thing it was riding on reminded hectoris of a Jetbike, though unlike the normal Imperial Jetbike, which flew straight, this thing corkscrewed through the air, nausea apparently no problem for the machines. Even a space marine, his Lyman's ear helpng to negate such effects, would become dizzy upon on of those devices. The Jetbike did not even stop, it simply carried on into the darkness. They would never catch it.

Hectoris was almost decapitated, only just managing to raise his shield against the massive green scythe. he was defencelss, and the skeleton was not as weak or fragile as it appeared. Hectoris shifted his balance as it swun again, a massive sweeping attack that would have cut him in two. Hectoris parried again and again. The machine was slow, but still deadly for the scythe was a heavy weapon, able to cleave through his armour as easily as his sword could cleave through this being. A red mist descended over him as he thought of his perfect blade being stolen and tampered with by these, these, things. With a feral raor he ducked under the next attack, stepping inside its guard, and grabbing its weapon between its grip,preventing it from striking again. He kicked his foot towards its chest, denting the metal of its torso and sending it reeling. The being lay still. Hectoris span his new weapon some to get a feel for it, and found that the being was up yet again. With now no weapon to defend iotself, it was a simple matter for Hectoris to cleave its skull in half, had he hit the skull. His aim with the clumsy scythe was a little off and he instead clove its collar bone and ribs. He was not amused by the fact the creature got up yet again, though with not as much confidence. With a growl, he clpammed his hands on its head and squeezed. One of his squad, backing him up and keeping a lookout, asked, "What are these things?" Had Hectoris not heard that sickening, graining, metallic chuckle from the machine, he would have crushed its head there and then.

"What are you creature? Why are you here andwho do you serve.?!" demanded the Captain, his Twin-Bolter now pressed to the metal skull.

The grating laugh echoed throuhout the corridors, setting hectoris' teeth on edge."I serve only myself and the Lord of the Storm, and the Lord of our race, the Silent King. My master, the Lord of Storms, has come to reclaim what is his. Your friend here knows this."

"Is that why you stole our sword."
"We took back what is OURS!"

Kalar had one last question, still unanswered though it was asked. "What are you?"

The machine made several noises that sounded like breathing, though why made no sense.

"We are the Necrons and we have come to reclaim OUR galaxy!2 It laughed like something was funny. Hectoris wasted no time in crsuhing its skull, the green lights in its eyes dying. Praying that it was truely dead, Hectoris dropped it to the ground. It slowly faded out of existence. Hectoris turned to look down the corridor where the Necron had come from, where the walker was lying, only to find that the walker too, had vanished.

Thuis is going to be a long day, thought Hectoris

Deep within the bowls of Hectoris' sopul, unbeknownst even to him, a voice whispered. "Indeed Hectoris."

After shooting the jetbikes and downing 3 of them a creature with a strange orb marched up to me. All the necrons backed out and it stood before me 4 of the dead necrons that laid around me raised up and took up their weapons against me.
I took out my twin bolt pistols and shot 2 of them the other 2 marched up to me and prepared to strike. I ducked and rolled away. The necron lord softly said ''Mortal surrender and your dead will be swift.''

I ignored him and took my autocannon in my hands and prepared to shoot but just before i shot my mechanical eye started to interfere. The necrodermis that flew inside my eye was slowly trying to take control but the power of an unkown helper fought it off and i heard a voice say. ''My master will be pleased if you join, come and i will present to you the ultimate technology that those fouls will never understand!''

I fell on the ground but mustered my strength and just before the lord struck i showed a krak grenade right before him and the majority his body disappeared and the rest was blown to pieces i myself was wounded but my armor saved me of the bulk of the blow. The other metal warriors seemed weakened and i used this opportunity to empty my bolt pistols in them. But shortly after that i fell to the ground exhausted, wounded And i heard the voice laugh.

The fighting wedge was in trouble. It had started as a glorious tribute the Emperor's Children's' marshal perfection, cutting through the advancing Necrons swiftly, every marine in his place. Necron after Necron fell before them, unable to stand before the ferocity and perfection of the advancing Knights of the Basilisk. Then from behind him, Marius heard a cry of shock and pain. Engaged with a Licheguard to his fore he was unable to turn and see what had happen. "Report" he snapped into the vox "What is happening back there?". "The destroyed Necrons are rising, Sergeant!" came the shocked response. "We are surrounded. Brother Antonius has been killed. What do we do, Sergeant?". Aloysus grunted as he hacked at the Necron before him, slicing through it's spine and head, dropping it to the floor. He stamped on its head and limbs as he stepped over it to the next automaton, hoping that would stop it from rising.

"Form a rearguard. We must press on. If we can destroy that tank we will cut off their reinforcements. It must be done." Aloysus replied. The marine on Marius's left fell, slashed by his opponent's warscythe. Aloysus gritted his teeth as the ranks closed to fill the gap left by the fallen marine, battering at the creatures in his way with renewed fury. "No matter the cost."

The Griffin Brethren were quickly losing their numbers defending the Archers. Faberon and Nero were fighting back to back, while Segari and Antioch did the same. Rephosus was out and the last 3 members of the Griffins defended his body. They were quickly being overrun by the Necron forces, "This is Antioch, the Archers and Griffins need extraction or reinforcement, we are taking heavy casualties!"

The rush of war fueled him as he threw himself into every enemy he could reach. The crackle of his axe deafened by the ripping and tearing of when it met it's prey. He swiftly holstered his bolter and switched to his pistol firing off pushing back any who dared approach his brother wielding the meltagun.
Gannicus nearly getting caught in the discharge of his brothers weapons as he savagely assaulted the enemy.
"they are relentless!" his words more like grunts as he spoke.
Gannicus took sight of what was going on behind him and a look of panic came over his face, he slammed his foot into his battle brother pushing him out the way of a incoming bolt of green energy. One of the freshly slain had risen once more.

Barely avoiding the blast himself he took up his Pistol to take quick aim firing off quick shots tearing threw it's head and chest forcing it back down.

Gannicus roared a inhuman battle cry further distorted by his helmet. he lunged into the wave of Necron before him like a snarling beast he tore into them using his pistol as a club and gauging limbs off of them making sure to Lop off their heads. His armor gaining more scratches and burns as he fought, his helmet almost knocked from his head but he continued to push.
The advance seemed to be slowing and it felt as if walls of metal were closing in on them.
He locked weapons with a Warscythe, the sounds of battle echoing inside his helmet as the sound of tearing metal and bolter fire muffled the falling forms of his legion brothers behind him. The thought of the fallen gave him a brief moment of what could be best described as worry before it gave way to beckoning rage.
He pushed it back, for the briefest of moments they exchanged blows avoiding lethal hits, Gannicus roared as he swung his power axe missing his target completely and tearing into the nearby necrons with a wide slash. With a curse on his tongue he watched The Pariah lunge at him.

With a single discharge the pariah and nearby hostiles were blown away. Gannicus greeted by the sight of his melta wielding brother.
Regrouping they began to push forward, the horde was endless but steadily the enemies tank was getting closer.
"follow me!" he pushed deeper into the enemy, the melta wielding marine and a few others followed his advance.
His armor rumbled from the impact of close quarters combat, a green bolt strikes one of the marines point blank claiming another of the emperors children.
The tank seem closer than ever, but many things could happen with such anomalies as enemies.

As Kalar and the Jaded Watch made their way deeper into the Imperial Hive of Pyrona, it became evident that the Necrons had a much larger force than the Brotherhood had first thought. Hectoris had a Necron weapon, which didn’t serve him very well. The battle on the plains outside of the city had not budged an inch in anyone’s favour, even though both sides had taken serious casualties. The Brotherhood were slowly being overran. Lord Fulgrim had voxed Kalar and given him another secret mission, to go and eliminate the Necron commanders, Imotekh the Stormlord and Nemesor Tokarn. The primarch had also warned the company that those two HVTs meant that the Brotherhood was up against the combined might of two of the greatest Necron Dynasties: Sauhtek and Narkos.

Just as Kalar started talking to Hectoris about how they would take the two Necron Overlords out, as they were both supposedly good warriors, that a Necron Overlord with a double-headed Warscythe and semi-corporeal whip-like wires floating around him came around the corner with 5 shielded, sword-toting Lychguard. Immediately the Terminators were on edge, taking up fighting stances.

“What are you doing here, Xenos scum?” roared Hectoris, issuing a clear challenge to the Necron Overlord.

“We are here to reclaim what is ours.” replied the Necron. “That gem in the pommel of your sword is one of our Tesseract Labyrinths and it contains a large chunk of The Nightbringer, one of our most feared gods. This world is also a Tomb World of His Majesty the Stormlord’s Dynasty”

“Impossible, and I imprisoned an Eldar Avatar in that gem.”

“Trust me when I tell you The Nightbringer will have eaten it by now”

“Prepare to die, Necron. CHARGE!” roared the Terminator Sergeant. The Jaded Watch and Kalar started sprinting toward the group of metal skeletons. The Necron Overlord swung his Warscythe around in a wide arc, even though the charging Marines were well out of melee range. The staff flashed green, and two crackling bolts of emerald energy came racing towards the Jaded Watch. One of the Terminators managed to raise his Storm Shield and the lightening ricocheted into the sky. The second Marine was not so lucky, the bolt of energy smacking him full in the face. The Terminator’s head simply exploded. Once the distance between them was halved, the floating whips phased in and swung at Kalar, tripping him up and holding him down. The Lychguard stepped forward and formed a shield wall, not unlike the one that the Jaded Watch had formed against the Triarch Stalker.

The Teminators crashed through the shields easily, but that put them at a disadvantage. The Lychguard swung their Hyperphase Swords down on the charging Terminators, destroying one of the Thunder Hammers and cutting another Terminator’s shield arm clean off, and the Terminator screamed in agony. As the pinned Kalar watched Hectoris swing his Rod of Covenant in a wide arc to sever the Necron Overlord’s head, the Necron Overlord disappeared from where it was and reappeared behind him went to stab him in the back. Luckily the Crux Terminatus held fast against the heavy blow. Kalar broke free of the whips and ran to where the combat was taking place. Unable to join the combat for fear of hitting a Terminator, Kalar drew his storm bolter and took careful aim at the Necron Overlord, who was lunging toward Hectoris, about to stab him in the face. Caught unaware by the sudden bolter shells, the Necron Overlord was sent reeling backwards. Finding shooting easier than hand-to-hand combat, Kalar took aim at one of the Lychguard. The Shield on its arm deflected the bolts into the crippled Terminator’s chest, killing him or knocking him unconscious, Kalar couldn’t tell at this distance. The Marine Captain fired again, this time hitting the Lychguard in the face. It phased out immediately. The Terminator who had his Thunder Hammer destroyed by the counter-attack dropped what was left of the Hammer and picked up the Lychguard’s sword. With Hectoris duelling the Necron Overlord, two Lychguard in pieces on the floor and another phased out, the two remaining Terminators, one with Thunder Hammer the other with Hyperphase Sword, were battling the two remaining standing Lychguard. The Necron Overlord got up from the floor and swung his Warscythe, knocking the shield out of Hectoris’ grip, removing his defence. Kalar tried to shoot the Necron again, only this time the shots passed straight through the Necron’s body without so much as a spark. The Overlord swung his scythe at Kalar, firing more of the arcane lightning that had killed one of the Jaded Watch as they ran. One bolt of lightning missing entirely, the other destroying the Storm Bolter in Kalar’s hand.
“” muttered Kalar to himself as the two Lychguard from the floor finished fusing back together and rejoined the fight. The remainder of Hectoris’ squad was outnumbered now, and thus overpowered easily. One of the Terminators was decapitated, and the other was stabbed in the abdomen, rending him unable to fight. The four Lychguard quickly beat down Kalar as he tried to help his allies. They dragged him back to the combat between the Necron Overlord and Hectoris. Hectoris was winning, much to the Captain’s relief. However that all changed when those whips phased in again and wrapped around Hectoris. Unable to defend himself, Hectoris’ new bionic arm was cut off. The Necron Overlord removed Hectoris’ helmet and kicked the Terminator in the face, knocking him out cold. The Overlord looked over to the Lychguard.

“Grab one of these each, bring them down to the Catacombs. Leave their weapons” ordered Nemesor Tokarn. “We will use them as bargaining chips to get the rest of these scum to leave our Tomb World.”
After a short walk to the centre of the city, the Necrons led their prisoners down into the Tomb Complex below.
“Put them in Suspended Animation until I figure out what to do with them” ordered the Nemesor.
Once the four Space Marines were safely stored in Suspended Animation, Nemesor Tokarn sought out Imotekh the Stormlord.
“We have the Astartes Captain and three of their ‘Terminators’ in Suspended Animation down in the Tomb.”
“Excellent. Pleasure doing business with you Nemesor” said Imotekh. “Time to bring in reinforcements.” As Imotekh spoke, the skies darkened to almost pitch black and emerald bolts of lightning started striking amongst the Astartes forces, causing several fires and killing several Marines.

A lightning bolt smashed into Nero's chest plate and threw him against a wall. His bolter was destroyed and his combat blade hung loosely in fragments from its maglock. He walked out of the rubble and grabbed an unsuspecting metal creature by the face. He hurled it to the ground and dropped to his knee, crunching its ribcage and destroying it completely. He felt a storm growing in him as he killed again and again, and he could swear that everything flashed into an ex-ray for a second, but then it was back to normal. He picked up a bolter from a fallen Marine and rejoined his Squad

Dreph awoke to find himself in a black tomb inside the Labyrinth. The only light came from a strange rune on the side of the wall.

He was dressed in nothing but a ragged tabbard. He was shackled in obsidian cuffs, connected with green lightning.

He thrashed about his cell, trying to shatter the shackles. His resistance was met with a great shock, sending him sprawling onto the floor.

Hectoris had been awake for a a quarter-hour when he heard Kalar awake, chained up in the room next to his. Hectoris heard him cry out in pain.

"It's no use Captain! I have tried. They will shock you if you struggle. The power wattage goes up with each with each strike!"

Hectoris was angry. He had been captured, and all but on of his squad, Magnus Malvarian, were dead, leaving just them two and Kalar. He tried pulling the chains again himself, but was rewarded with a massive burst of electrical energy. At kleast his captors had the decency to reattach his mechanical arm.

Magnus was chained up next to him, rendered unconcious by the shocks. He had been first to wake.

Hectoris pulled again. Then he blacked out as an enormous burst of electricity struck him.

he ws back, in the Warp Dream. The creature stood before him again. The Daemon. The one who served this "Kharnath."

"Welcome back," it said, a sly grin, or what could pass as one past its many jutting fangs, crossed its face. "Now, that propositionI told you about. Do you wish to hear it, or shall I leave you to rot?"
"I will never accept help from you, creature!" hectoris spat on the floor, the fluid moving impossibly slowly towards the ground, but impacted with an enormous splash. Things were not the same here.

"My master would not be pleased with that. I may have to kill you."
Hectoris went for hi sword, noly to find it wasn't there. He forgot that the Necron Jetbike had stolen it. The Daemon chuckled. Hectoris lept at it swing his fist, trying to break its face before it could react. The Daemon moved impossibly fast. Not as fast as the one that had come out of Segari, but fast nonetheles. It had the tip of its sword pressed to the nape of his neck.

"Now, my proposition. My master wants me to possess you. I will lend you my strength, my speed and skill. In return, you must spill as much blood and claim as many skulls for him as possible. Where blood may not be spilled, you must fight to the best of your skills. It must be an honest fight. Trickery and Sorcery is dispised by my master. Do we have a deal?"

"You think I would allow you to control my body, my perfection, designed by the Emperor, " The Daemon flinched at the mention of His name, " and created in the furnace of war?! Do you jest with me or do you think me stupid?"

"Perfect? That is laughable. You cannot even break these chains. Pathetic. I am leaving." The Daemon turned to leave.

"Wait!" If Hectoris had seen the Daemon's face, he would have regretted saying what he did. The evil, satisfied grin it gave would have been enough to turn even Russ' cold heart freeze.

"Do you promise, that I will be better with your help?" Hectoris inquired.

"On my master's Skull Throne."

Hectoris thought for a moment. Then he said "Then come."

The Daemopn strode towards him, stopping just before his body. The Daemon vanished.

Hectoris reawoke. He was still on the floor, chained up. magmnus was awake again and asked if he was alright. Hectoris replied he was. He looked at the chains holding him. If the daemon was to be believed, and it had taken to his body, he would be able to break them. But the electric shock could kill him if he tried. He saw the dead of his Legion in his mind's eye, and the anger in him grew. At first a spark in his chest, but soon a fierce heat grew within him.

Taking up a chain in both hands, he harnased this fury and pulled with all his might. The shock was instantaneous. He knew the Daemon had betrayed him and he was going to die. Still he pulled.

The electricity did not kill him, in fact he barely felt it. He pulled harder and the anger within him grew stronger. The chains buckled and snapped with a long bang. he stood and went to Magnus, who was staring at him, his gaze questioning, but his brother remained silent.

Whatever this Daemon was doing, he liked it. This daemon, of Chaos, was going to help him achieve perfection in battle. By the Emperor, he was going to make sure every space marine in the galaxy had power like this. Segari had been weak, unable to control the beast within, but Hectoris was strong. he would make sure of it. Slowly, maybe, but surely, the power would become entirely his. He would increase the power of this Daemon's master, and the power of the Daemon and thus his own. The power of Chaos would swell.

Chaos will begin to grow.

I woke up or at least i thought i woke up. I was in a weird dimension i heard the sound of machinery everywhere and heard the screams of agony of humans i looked around and saw the half machine half daemon again but on the other side i saw the daemon of excess and pleasure.

The machine deamon said. ''Come i will enlighten you i will show you the truth of the soul of the machine and the god that you fools on mars worship. You will be envied by all the others for the machines that you create. I saved you you are already in debt to me!'' He said that last thing with a sickening laugh.
On the other side the daemon of pleasure said. ''come to me and i will show you the edge of pleasure like you have never felt. I will make you perfect everyone will want to be and follow you i will make everything you have and be perfect. You are jealous of those other tech marines aren't you and you want to be like your sergeant come and i will make you even better.''

Then they both said in sync. ''CHOOSE YOUR SIDE NOW!''

I found myself weakened I didn't know what to do but then i screamed. ''I will only follow the machine god and the emperor as he is the omnissiah I will never falter!''
They both laughed and the machine deamon said ''I will wait for you the day that you will fall to me will be soon. Watch the day boy your soul will belong to me.''

I woke up i heard the sound of explosions and found myself on the battlefield i got up and runned to sergeant antioch and said sergeant what should we do we can't survive we need to withdraw But just before he could answer a group of warriors appeared I took out my autocannon and took my shot i killed 4 of them but forgot to shoot them for a second time to eliminate the chance of them returning but instead of all of them resurrecting only 1 stood up and i shot another 3 along with that one i shouted to sergeant antioch sir we need extraction ASAP!
