Name: Marius Aloysus
Position: Sergeant of the Tactical Squad “Knights of the Basilisk”
Personality (Likes, Dislikes, etc): Perfectionist, Hot tempered, Bravado
Background: Aloysus rose to command the “Knights of the Basilisk” after its Sergeant was killed in battle on Tarshon II. Assuming command of the squad he led them into the thick of enemy lines, breaking through into the enemies headquarters, where he and his squad took a payment in blood for the death of their former Sergeant. Aloysus and his unit can always be found leading the assault. They are famed throughout their chapter for their linebreaking skills and many a frontline has broken before their furious assault. Aloysus also spent sometime in the Apothecarion, and has a more advanced knowledge of field medicine than most other marines.

Name: Apollus Segari
Postion: Sergeant to the "Archers of the Rayven" Devastator Squad
Personality: Precise, demanding and obsessive. Lover of fine music, art and food. Sometimes practices in healing.
Background: Segari was the top marksmen of the company, maybe even the entire chapter. He first demonstrated his skill as a scout, achieving nearly 25 confirmed kills with a sniper rifle in his first taste of battle against the elusive Eldar.

Unfortunately as a tactical marine he lacked skill in close-combat. During the campaign on Vrax, an ork Nob bested him in one-on-one combat, knocking him unconcious and went on to slaughter his out-flanked sergeant. Tormented and ashamed Segari trained himself to exhaustion in his attempts to perfect the art of melee. His company recognised his efforts and awarded him the rank of sergeant after he had defeated an ork warboss in hand to hand combat.

Designated to the devastator squad he uses his marksmen abilities and leadership to deliver death at range, while also defending his squad, slaying any opponent brave enough to rush the Archers and come within reach of his sword.

Addition- He also hand crafted his sword using pieces from his fallen sergeant's armor.

Terminator Sgt Caecilius Hectoris
Position; Terminator Sgt of the Jaded Watch.
Personality: A perfectionist surpassed by none, not even Fulgrim. Also known as the Punisher, for if even a single casualty more than the predicted amount is taken, or he or his subordinates does something less than perfect, he will whip the 36 times with a plasteel chain, and will also have himslef whipped the same.

Fluff still a WIP but that is to secure the spot.

Segari kicked the dead ork from the end of his blade. He took a brief glance to peer through the dust and smoke of the battlefield. Somewhere amongst the dead and dying were his battle brothers fighting for their lives. It had been nearly a days time since he had seen any of his chapter.

Dreph Kalar scanned the battlefield. He glanced some movement in the rubble, and started to walk towards it. He brought out his Storm Bolter to find a marine struggling under the wreckage of a wrecked Killa Kan. He pushed the wreckage off of him and helped him back onto his feet.

Apollus, heard a loud crash and rounded the corner to find Dreph Kelar helping another. He didn't recognise the other marine at first due to his scorched and blackened armor.
"It is good to see you brother-captain!" he exclaimed from across the graveyard of killa kans.

As he grabbed his boltgun, a group of Ork Boyz ambushed them, trampling over their dead kin to reach the unsuspecting marines. Dreph let loose his storm bolter, bringing down several Orks in a hail of lead. He called the strike cruiser "Draconi" and ordered the Jaded Watch down.

As the captain was mowing down the ork horde, the unseen Segari was rushing them from side. He hacked and slashed orks suprised at the new threat who were unable to react fast enough.
"Captain, another group approaches from the east. We shall be overrun."

Aloysus grunted as the wrecked Kan was heaved off him. Accepting the offered hand he was pulled to his feet. Realising who had come to his aid he snapped off a sharp salute. "Thank you, Captain! Damn thing trapped me when it fell." He grabbed his combi-melta from where he had dropped it. He nodded to as he Sgt Apollus jogged over to meet them.

"Welcome to the fray, brother-sergeant!"

In Character:

As the Orkish hordes closed in, Dreph started hacking down the Orks with his lightning claw, cutting through them with ease. Finally, he came face to face with the Ork Nob, a brutish creature who stood about 2ft above Dreph.

As the captain faced off against the brutish leader of the Orks Aloysus stepped up next to him, cutting down Orks with presice headshots and stabbing any that got too close with his combat blade, preventing them from attacking the captain's back.

Dreph brawled with the Ork for 10 seconds, until he was pinned down by the hulking beast. The Nob raised his power klaw in anticipation. All hope seemed lost for Dreph.

Apollus covered the captains back as he fought the Nob. The rest of the orks were hesitent, staying well out of Segaris blade. He thought they were too afraid to rush him, but then he realised orks did not fear. They were all watching the struggle behind Apollus. Some stopped spectating and ran to meet Segari but were only met with steel. The rest wooped and cheered yelling in brutish warcrys. Then suddenly they fell quiet. Segari glanced behind himself and looked in horror as the Nob was going to deliver the killer blow. Segari quickly dashed, blade outstretched, ramming it through the foul creatures spine and bursting through it's stomach.

The orks only stared in astonishment. Segari helped the captain to his feet and both turned to meet the still silent ork horde. There was no way two marines could face such an imposing number. The orks grunted, and sneered, a rising anger built within the crowd preparing for a final charge.
"Well sir, was a pleasure fighting alongsi-"
Before he could finish his sentence a magifciant flash brightened the area. Suddenly the ork mass started panicking as it was being torn apart from the inside out. The Jaded watch had teleported directly amongst the enemy. The captain and Apollus siezed the oppurtunity and rushed the bewildered xenos.

As Dreph cut apart the swathes of Orks, he and the Jaded Watch headed slowly towards the objective, a fortification that housed several million imperial citizens. They needed to reach the fort in time to send a request for reinforcements, before the walls were overthrown by the green tide.

Aloysus saw the Ork pin the captain. He raised his bolter and lined up a headshot, but Segari rushed across his line of sight and stabbed the ork before he could fire. Spining back to face the nearest orks a choppa caught his helm dropping him into the dirt. Swearing Aloysus lashed out from the ground with bolter and blade as the orks bore down on him. There was a flash of light, and suddenly the orks were in full retreat as a warrior of the Jaded Watch appeared beside him, his hammer making a bloody ruin out of any ork foolish enough to challenge him. The warrior looked down at him. "Really, Sgt." he said "I know they are only orks, but this isn't the time for a nap!"

Aloysus laughed as he climbed to his feet. "I'll show you how killing is done!"

The Orks were starting to break. As wave after wave was obliterated and blasted into red pulp, their spirit began to falter. Boyz started to run away, knowing the imminent danger. At last, the Jaded Watch managed to eliminate the Warboss in charge of this group, but no-one knew whether the entire planet was safe. However, the Brotherhood of Orion had dented the Ork Waaaagh! Dreph broke into a smile of relief. He had succeeded.

Aloysus opened a vox link to the command channel. "I'm beginning transmissions to see if I can locate the rest of my squad and tell them to rally to us. I suggest you all do the same. We're going to need all the firepower we can get for this one. Destroying the last of these orks is going to take manpower"

Name: Rephosus, bringer of destruction

Position: Devastator, pinpoint marksman

Personality : Perfectionist, knows when to give up, Gets irritated fastly. likes to talk with the techpriests about weaponry and the workings of machines, dislikes people who think technology is a bad thing and act like the techno barbarians of old terra

Background: Rephosus was a neophite accepted into the 9th company. He started out as a marine accompanying the devestator squad Archers of the Rayven. He accomponied them to the planet 135-54 JO where they fought a large tribe of orks during the battle one of the veteran devestators equipped with one of the missile launchers got shot by a big shoota from an ork truck. Rephosus was stricken with anger as one of his battle brothers was killed. He quickly grabbed the missile launcher the dead battle brother dropped and fired a krak missile at the truck. With a successful hit he actually destroyed the truck and the explosion took a mob of orks with it.

After the battle the sergeant Apollus Segari talked to him he complimented his skill and asked him if he wanted to be a devestator heavy weapon carrier. Rephosus accepted immediatly.

"It appears our ship's long range communications are down captain" informed Segari. The Draconi had suffered damage during a stand off with two ork warships. The terminators were sent in a last minute call by Dreph before the ship was crippled by a broadside.
"Is the objective still the city?"

"Is there anyway we can boost the signal?" asked Aloysus "Where's the damned Rhinos? We could boost transmissions with them."

Dreph stood up tall. "Affirmative. Until we get communications from either Lord Commander, we are to head for the city. We should be able to bring up communications from there." Dreph began moving towards the city, along wit the Jaded Watch.

Segari forgot about his previous idea and followed the captain with his newly found squad member at his side.

''Captain Segari it appears a group of armored ork vehichles are approaching what do you advice to be done sir?''

"I'm a captain now? Thanks for the promotion rookie!"

It had appeared Segari's missing marine had been slightly concussed during a scrap with a blunt choppa.

"Prepare the missles and wait for the captains orders."

"We will ambush them. If the Jaded Watch and I act as a melee blockade, the Rayven can hammer them from cover. I suggest that the Rayven find a farther piece of terrain, along with the Griffin. Basilisk, you stay nearby. Your melta specialty could prove more than useful.

Aloysus smiled broadly as he warmed up the melta on his combi-bolter. "Just say the word, captain, and we'll slag those moving scrapheaps!"

Segari and his rookie found a high perch in a destroyed land raider, using the blown out insides as cover. He noticed a scout, torn apart and disfigured. He said a silent prayer, holstered his pistol and sword, grasping the scouts rifle.
"Fire your krak missle at the lead vehicle, I will call targets and pick off suvivors"

"In position captain" he voxed.

"Squad, form up on Line Officer Kalar! We shall act as a shield for our brethren as they flank the enemy. Move on my command. When I signal the Rayvan, withdraw.to allow accurate fire. Any caught by friendly fire will be flogged with the chain if they survive!"

OOC: Lol friendly dire.

The convoy of Ork vehicles could be heard in the distance. The marines ducked down, ready to destroy on Dreph's command. As they rattled through the ruins, Dreph uttered the word"Fire." into his Vox.

"Basilisk form up. 4 with me on the Jaded Watch's right. Meltahunner and 4 others on the left flank. Krak grenades out and bolters up. Kill any survivors. Meltas priority targets are any surviving vehicles "

The sky filled with the scream of missiles. Melta beams reduced battlewagons into molten slag. As Orks scrambled out of the wreckage, they were mowed down in a hail of bolter shells.

"Wake up rookie".

He slapped the back of his head, the signal.

Segari lined up on the second driver, a war buggy brisiling with weapons and ork boys.
He relaxed.
He drew a breath.
He fired. The shot span through the air dropping right into the orks face, spraying brain everywhere. The orks limp body dragged the steering wheel left, flipping over, killing and maiming the orks hanging onto the back.

"Ceasefire, convoy halted, you are clear for close assualt brothers"

Apollus lined up a second shot, this time at the spilled cache of ammo on the ground. As the round hit the upturned buggy lit up in flames engulfing the boys trying to crawl away from the wreck.
"No mercy" he lectured to his rookie, who was still reloading for a second barrage.

Rephosus targeted one of the trukks and prepared a krak missile after saying a small hymn for the machine spirit he fired his first shot it hit the target and its wheels where blown off. Shamefully enough it was just immobilized but he saw a terrifying sight orks bikers led by a nob biker.
He gathered up his courage and fired again this time blowing up the blasted truck and eliminating the orks inside. after that he said to the ''real'' commander sir a group of bikers have been spotted. Sergeant Segari I don't think we can hit those bikers at the speed they are going. What do you advice?

"Griffin, move up and let out the flames. Me and the Watch shall charge them. That should allow some damage."

OOC: I wont be able to post until like 4 o'clock because im at school so you cant expect i will reply directly at certain moments.

Aloysus was alive. A trukk aimed straight for him, its driver laughing maniacally as he aimed to run him down, whilst the orks in the back hollered and fired wildly at the Basilisks. Taking careful aim Aloysus unloaded his melta onto the engine block of the trukk. The trukk dug its nose into the ground, crushing the driver and catapulting the orks out over the Knights of the Basilisk, who shot them out of the sky. They were all dead by the time they hit the ground. Aloysus slapped home a new melta charge. "Look lads," he said over the vox "Its raining orks!"

"Brothers of the Jaded Watch, attack! For the Phenocian!"

"Knights of the Basilisk, fire support of the Watch. No mercy!"

The Rayven squad stood down, allowing the "blunt" instruments of the assualt to mop up Segari's mess.
"You are releived for a while rookie, go pray and clean your weapon. Reflect on what you have witnessed".
Segari had much to teach the young marine.

The last of the orks turned to run. His combi-bolter needed to be reloaded, so Aloysus pulled out his blade and threw it. It flew straight and true, slicing through the back of the orks neck between its vertebrae, the point emerging from its throat. It crumpled, very dead. Aloysus slammed home another ammo clip and walked to the dead ork, pulling free his blade and wiping it clean on the dead ork. "Never turn your back on The Children of the Emperor, xenos scum!" He told the corpse.

Yes sergeant happy the sergeant allowed him to clean his weapon. ''Rephosus was starting to see sergeant Segari as a mentor.'' He took his special anointing oil one of the artificers gave him and cleaned the weapon with it. He looked for any malfunctions and after he saw the weapon was clear he watched the battle beneath. Wondering why sergeant Aloysus misused the blade for range why it was meant for close quarters combat?

Segari took his time picking off the fleeing orks. Carefully studdying each targets movement then at the right time releasing a round which caught its unaware target in the back of the back.
"Time to pack up rookie". Rayven squad rejoined their commander in the killing zone. On his way down he noticed an ork crawling with most of its limbs gone. Instead of a quick shot to the head Segari smashed the orks skull in with the butt of his storm bolter. He then noticed the rookie was about to point out the proper functions of a pistol, but decided not to.

Sir yes sir i took my bolt pistol and combat knive and stormed the closest ork. I aimed and made a head shot. But then a second ork stormed me. i was fending him off remembering why i am a devastator and not an assault marine.

Hectoris spun, smashing 3 Orks away with his thunder hammer before stamping hard on the one below him, knockied to the floor by the concussive force from his storm shield's blow. Without warning a truely masive Nob appeared, swinging its massive claw at his helmet. He countered the blow with his shield and swung a mighty underarm blow at the Ork's chest. It collided with a atrocious sound of metal on metal. When the blood and skin fell away it revealed a metalic skeleton and a mechanical heeart. The Ork seemed to have barely phased by the strike. It swung at Hectoris with his claw again, this time colliding with his hammer arm, causing him to drop his weapon.

He spun away and smashed his shield into his opponent's face and dived for his hammer. Sparks flashed before his eyes as the Ork kicked him the head with nob nail boots, the autosenses deactivated momentarily. He felt the claw tearing at his back, his shield unable to defend him, though thankfully the Crux Terminatus was holding. His hand snapped out, grabbing the Nob's ancle and, rising with a fury and an oath that would make most men cower, hurled the massive Ork away, the servos of even his mighty armour straining to move the huge bulk.
"Incoming Borther," he voxed to his squad mate as the Ork flew threw the air. One member turned, and swung his hammer two handed at enormous greenskin, the blow striking with force enough to obliterate the ork entirely.

Retrieving his hammer, he fell upon the enemy with the fury of a man possessed.

Sergeant Segari shook his head, helping the rookie by slicing its torso in two with his power sword.
"Death cannot always be delivered from range, precision is also necessary when dispatching with the blade".

I took my bolt pistol and killed another 2 orks. After imitating the attack sergeant Segari made i sliced a third orks head in 2.

"I'm not a sir, I'm a sergeant, I work for a living!" he said smiling punching his rookie in the pauldron. Segari was proud of his long lost squad, or what was left of it.
"Come, the commander summons us, the ork has finally routed"

"How shall we proceed, Captain?" Aloysus asked. "We'll make better time is we try to avoid the orks, but I mislike the idea of leaving any we encounter alive."

Finally i was wondering when we would hear of him i haven't seen him in the heat of battle.

The greenskins were without number. He had heard casualty reports from other corners of the battle. Too many had fallen.

"Damned Orks! You shall not stand in the way of perfection!" He roared, smashing another one to the ground. A tapping frombelow made him look down. A gretchin was smacking his foot, which had crushed the mewling greenskins legs, with a tiny revolver, firing ineffectively at his kneecap. He took slow deliberance when raising his foot, and equal care when replacing it upon the entire creature. He grinned at the scream before the sickening crunch of tiny bones underfoot. he roared and caught the greenskin who lept at him, the beast's arms trapped in his own, and crushed it with his embrace.

"Sir, a large group of Orks has broken off and is moving towards Squad Rayven's position!"

"Segari..." he voxed.

"Yesum?"

Segari's eyebrow twitched at the painful memories of his past. He would not let his past performance with the blade effect him now.
"Oh don't worry Sergeant, I have a trick up my armored sleeve".
"Rookie still got the missle launcher?"

"We must try to outmaneuver them. We cannot fight like this for much longer. Griffin and Basilisk, embark the rhinos. Rayven, the Jaded Watch and I shall advance on foot."

Dreph marched onwards, checking his Auspex for any Orks. The tactical marines spurred on ahead, to try and call in reinforcements.

"Damn, I really wanted to test out that new rocket..."

Sir i got one of my special frags ready for the orks. But according to the commander we need to outmaneuver them. Although i want to volunteer to slow em down with a missile or 2.

"Rayven, you are advancing with me. If needs be we can fight. Basilisk and Griffin, you may act at will. I have put you under the command of Aloysus."

"Errrr.... Go behind that rock there rookie, I'm sure he won't mind if let off a few of the new guided mortar rounds, quickly before he turns around"

Alright sir give the mark and ill shoot some of my frags at em.
Its not gonna be the first time i will miss a frag missile.

"Sir, Officer Kalar is ordering us to move forward to assist squad rayven!"


"Do these Orks look dead to you? Tell Kalar that whatever powers of destruction he's developed in these last fewe moments would be intensly helpful over here!" he growled into the vox, before tearing the skull of another Ork in half.

"But sir-"

"If you argue with me again I'll flog you myself! Tell Dreph Kalar my words and be sure to emphasise my tone!"

"You are to refrain from wasting ammunition. Make each shot count. We cannot afford to run out of ammo here."

Dreph is suddenly ambushed. He begins to fire his storm bolter at the Orks, blasting apart several.

OOC:Was that for me or someone else? I am the Terminator CC squad Sgt so I am not usin guns.

"Of course, my lord"
Even Sigari could see the disapointment behind the rookies helmet.

OOC: I said it wrong i think i wanted to say i never missed a frag. And i will not miss this time sorry if you understood it wrong.

As the Orks closed in ever further, Dreph charged into melee. He punched his talons straight through one Ork, then hacked at the others.

OOC: Nah I got what you meant, and deadshot that was for us, we wanted to let off a few fireworks

"Looks like we are in for another brawl rookie". Segari was glad his grin was hid behind metal. He advanced with sword drawn and storm pistol spewing fire.

OOC: ok then lol true shame

IC: Sergeant requesting usage of krak grenade at the largest ork?

"Rayven, engage the enemy! Fire at will! We need support, and we need it now!"

At that moment a Nob rampaged through the horde for a fight with the Watch.

"Request denied, you will create shrapnel blowing apart trees" "Use precision small charge warheads, it will lessen the damage!"

"Trees aren't important Sergeant! We need fire support urgently!"

The Watch block the nob from the captain.

"Alright rookie use the krak!"

After seeing sergeant didnt want my first plan so decided on a closer action.
I sneaked up to the nob and threw the krak grenade to one of his ammo sacks.
I succeeded it blew up with a spectacular blow and with a laugh i bowed to the captain and said it was an honor to help my lord.

Shrapnel rains down upon the Watch, but their storm shields stop the blast.

When the smoke clears, the Ork is kneeling on the ground. With a pull of the trigger, Dreph finishes him off.

After seeing the orks startled because one of their leaders died i asked to Captain Dreph.
My lord what do you wish to be done now?

Segari wasn't so lucky. A peice of bark drove its way through his neck. He kneels clutching at his throat.

"We shall try and get transport immediately. We cannot survive much longer with these constant attacks. Can you try and contact the "Draconi" using the Rhino transmitter?"

Dreph notices Segari.

"NO! WE NEED IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE! GET AN APOTHECARY HERE STAT!"

Segari lays bleeding profusely from the neck, gasping for air.

Sergeant are you okay? I grab my emergency med-pack and give him some morphine (or something like that). And without hesitation eliminate the berk and patch up his neck before too much blood comes out. I scream for an apothecary and beg for help.

"You deal with him. Caecilus, call down transport and the Apothecary. NOW!"

Hectoris drew back his arm for a another swing. He connected with a force enough to smash the ork asunder, had it not moved in time to avoid getting killed. As it was it just about managed to get its arm crushed beneath the blow.

Hectoris armed his hammer for another strike. Fast as he was, the Ork was faster, his thunder hammer weighing him down. The Ork swung its crude choppa at his neck. Knowing that the choppa was deadly enough to cause serious damgae if it punctured the flexible sheathing at his neck, he raised his arm. The choppa instead severed the connector to his hammer and sank into the bonding at his elbow. His hammer may be duled, but it was heavy enough to kill this Ork.

His arm wouldn't budge. He tried again. The Ork uttered something that sounded suspiciously like "Go fer da nees!" A sudden flash of pain in his right knee sent him to the ground as another Ork chopped at the back of his leg. He covered his face with his Sheild.

"Brother, I need to return to the ship for a repair,my armour is damaged. I am putting you in temporay command. Contact the The Pride of The Emperor and tell them to ready a new suit and weapon for me. Tell them to teleport me aboard."

"Yes sir"

He smashed the greenskin out of the way with his shield, for fear of them teleporting with him. The familiar flash of light and smell of Oone and he was back aboard Lord Fulgrim's Flagship.

I protect the sergeant from a group of orks using his storm bolter and shooting 2 of them trough the head. After that i give him a special medication to enhance astartes regeneration.
And hope it works.

Drawing final strenght Apollus lifts the sword, trying to give it to the rookie. His arm collapses and finally dies dropping the sword onto his chest.

Aloysus's Rhino appeared again. It slammed to a halt next to Sergari, the ramps smashing down. Aloysus jumps out. "Rookie, grab his legs. we need to get him into the Rhino's medbay." Aloysus began hauling Sergari into the Rhino, bellowing orders."

I pick up the word put it in my backpack and help aloysus put sergeant in the med-bay. Luckily the medication seems to works and the bleeding starts to become less. I pray to the omnissiah thinking that the artificers also got me.

As Dreph decides who is to replace his second-in-command, the rest of the Rayven comes to him. Without the guiding hand of Segari, they were lost.

OOC: His already dead you know...

Dreph takes Segari's Storm Bolter and power sword. He bestows them onto Rephosus, trusting him with command of the Rayven.

Aloysus goes to work. First he sprays syn-skin over the wound to seal the wounds and arteries. Next he injects Sergari with Larraman's cells to get the bleeding to stop. The Rhino's systems get his heart and breathing stabilised. "Come on" muttered Aloysus "It's up to you now Sergari, don't you dare die on me!" Aloysus hoped he hadn't arrived too late.

OOC: darn it so Private_Joker you aren't just gonna dissapear aren't you :(
Altough it is pretty cool its like a tradition that the members get like heritage from their commanding officer when he dies

IC: As the only member of rayven squad left i pick up my the sword and storm bolter and cover the rhino's loading

As Dreph looks back, he notices a stirring within the downed sergeant. He snatches back the weapons, going to the rhino. He bows and prays.

"Sgt Hectoris."
Said the Techmarine as he made his way into the armoury.

"Is my armour ready?"

"Yes, and a new weapon too." He presented a glowing blue Power Sword that gleamed with perfection as the Sgt donned his armour. "Beautiful is it not?"

"What is that?!" Caecilius demanded

"'Tis perfection."

"Where is my hammer? How can I smash a foe asunder with this thing?" He roared.

"We have none left!" replied the startled Techmarine


Hectoris moved faster than his armour belayed. His hand gripped the Techmarines bare throat. "Find one."

As i see sergeant may be still alive i run to the rhino and pray to the ommnisiah and humanity that sergeant maybe will still survive.

Darkness. Segari is lost in total oblivion. Then a voice. Distant yet clear, echoing, vibrating, charging his mind. Bright flashes fill his mind. Burning imprints into his vison. Suddenly he feels his body again, jolting with a sudden shock.

He opens his eyes to an intense light, breathing hard filling up his lungs. He springs up in his bed sitting upright. His vison slowly returns.
"Aloysus?"

Aloysus watched on, hardly daring to breathe. He could only hope that he had been fast enough and had got to Sergari before his brain had died from lack of oxygen. It was in the Emperor's hands now.

Dreph raises. He smiles and thanks the Emperor for the benevolent return of Segari.

OOC: I am alive again.... sorry needed an excuse to go to the toilet so I decided to die.

"Yes!" Aloysus punched the air. "I knew you were too tough to die on me Sergari!"

Hearing the soft voice of the sergeant i tore of my helm and a huge smile appeared on my face as sergeant actually had a chance to make it now.

OOC: Lol. I did come up with an option so you could return, but you would be removed until you wished to return.

"Sir, we have been told Segari is dying!"

it was the Jaded watch.

"Speak clear marine! I thought you said Segari is dying?"

"He is sir, if not already dead..."


Caecilius Hectoris was already on the move. He flung the Techmarine to the ground and grabbed the Sword as he sprinted to the bridge.

"Get me down there!" he yelled at the crewsmen. "Tell Fabius Bile he has an emergency patitent coming up. If he doesn't save him I'll skin him myself!"


"Yes sir," replied the hasty crewman as they fired up the teleporter once more.

I look up at the sergeant and almost scream that we must bring him back to the ship no matter what and let him heal.

Even if it costs me my pride or anything else.

Segari exits the vehicle, feeling woozy and naucious. He sees his brother Rayven outside waiting anxiously. He presents his weapons back to the Sergeant but Segari refuses.
"Keep them, you earned it, brother."

Dreph was still in angst, however. Segari wasn't safe yet. He could see a terror in his eyes.

OOC: So now Admiral's the sergeant?

"Right, everyone out of my Rhino!" ordered Aloysus "Sergari, can you fight? I need to get back to the other tactical squad and continue scouting ahead as soon as possible."

"Aloysus!" he cried as soon as matierialised. "Where is Segeri? I have arranged for Fabius Bile to treat him aboard the Primarch's Flagship."

But sergeant they are your weapons your sign of office you cant give them to me.

Wait if you go back to the ship with me and give me a week i will come back with signs of office for you and artificer level armor.

"Indeed, Aloysus! May the Emperor be with you!"

He watched as Segari staggered to his battle brothers.

"Relax brother." Marius replied "I got to him with the Rhino just in time. He survived, but it was close. He's over there with the rookie." Aloysus pointed them out.

OOC: No, he just gets my weapons.

Segari staggers back inside the rhino, grabbing a heavy bolter from a weapons rack.

"Your clear to leave now, I shall be fine" he says while still clutching at his neck.

OOC: Ah. So I can just assume that you got a new set?

IC: Dreph gives orders.

"Caecilus, can you get us transport to the city? We cannot afford anymore casualties! Segari barely survived this attack!"

Aloysus climbed back into the Rhino and the hatch closed behind him. "Captain, I am going to collect my squad. The tactical squads will provide cover to your flanks and warn of any approaching orks that we might avoid any more unexpected surprises."

"Segari! My firend. I am relieved! I thought you dead!" Hectoris remembered the beuatiful blue Power Blade at his hip. "Damn you! I grabbed this when I went to get planetside! I had no time for the Techmarine to find me a good old Hammer!"

OOC:I have a heavy bolter now.

"Thank you, Sergeant. We shall set up a defensive position here for now, until we can receive transport."

"Acknowledged. Keep in touch, and keep an eye on Sergari. that wound could cause him problems. Aloysus out."

"Sir, I copy you" he said barely noticing the commanders's voice.

He contacted the fleet. "Send down a transport or two, we need to keep moving. And tell Apothecary Fabius that he can relax thanks to Aloysus, ha ha ha!"

He could not help but notice the look in Segeri's eye.

Segari sat down at his positon, the pain barely being supressed by his engineered body. He tried to remember the voice. It was more of a scream. A scream of pain. No. A scream of pleasure... A sharp pain shot through his mind like a hot needle. Suddenly his squad appeared and he tried to look comfortable.

Dreph felt an odd chill as he moved next to Segari. He couldn't help but notice the odd behaviour Segari was showing. He wasn't himself.

"Segari? Are you alright?"

"I am fine, my old friend", Segari began to feel hot, removing his helmet. "When do we move?"

"Sergeant!" called the voice from behind him. It was the Jaded Watch.

"brothers! Where are the Orks?"

"All dead sir. Most of them went into retreat. We couldn't pursue. They headed north"

"Damn. I suspect an ambush."

He contacte the rest of the strike force.
"All squads, this is Sgt Hectoris of the Jaded Watch. My squad reports that the Orks they were fighting fell back northwards. Stay alert, there were 200 orks to the 4, so I suspect a larger plan at work.!"

Segari peered through the forest. A mist settling low and thick. Something was wrong. There was no sound, no bird calls, nothing. It was like being dead all over again.

Ok sir i prepare a krak missile just in case for usage.

Segari nearly bent over the pain was so intense. The silence in the forest was driving him mad, letting the screaming in his head sound even louder.

"Captain, I am sending the Griffin Brethern back to join you. My squad are going to sweep north. If there is an ambush ahead we'll trigger it, and you can ambush the ambush. It will also provide you with medical facilities if Sergari gets worse. Let me know if anything unusual happens."

Segari hears a snap of twigs. This is no ork....

Aloysus had taken his squad a mile from the Captain's position and encountered no orks. He halted the Rhino and opened a channel to the Captain. "Dreph, we are a mile from your position. No orks encountered. Shall we continue searching, or return to your position?"

Segari and the captain heard Castiel but niether dare spoke. Segari slowly swiveled his bolter around.

"I am feeling fine, my lord" he says through gritted teeth.

"Captain, what are your orders? Is something wrong?" Aloysus asked

"Continue scouting. Warn of any enemy troops, and head to the city."

As Segari turn around Dreph starts to speak.

"I sense a taint about you brother; I worry that you may be corrupted. We must hurry, and try to get you to the apothecary. I have heard troubling rumours about marines falling from the divine will of the Emperor."

"Affirmative, Captain. May the Emperor guide your path." replied Aloysus. "Onwards at battle speed. We hunt for the surviving orks."

Captain i advice you not too insult your fellow brother this easily bringing him to the apothecray has already been scheduled. I advice you to just wait my lord.

"Watch your tongue, Rookie. It is not your place to question the Captain." Aloysus growled over the vox.

"Captain, lower your weapon."

"Fine... I shall wait to see what the future holds."

He lowers his bolter and drops to one knee, begging for forgiveness.

Lord Caecilius Hectoris could you make an appointment with lucius again sergeant needs some proper treatment.

"Fabius? This is Caecilius Hectoris. Rescedule that appointment for my friend."

"And don't refer to me by name. To you I am Sgt and nothing more."

"I see no reason to call in for *Fabius* any earlier. We must continue onwards. Segari, may you forgive my apprehensive nature?"

"Rephosus, he is to be referred to as Sergeant. We have a very strict ranking order here."

"Captain, I believe there is indeed need. If something is wrong with Seeri then it needs to be investigated immediately."

Remember your places, in the Emperor's name!"

"Captain, we have company! I have 200 orks including battlewagons and fast vehicles closing on my position. Do we hold here or bring them to you?"

Dreph hears Alyosus.

"Bring them here. We shall set up an ambush."

"It shall be done Captain!" replied Aloysus, loosing a blast for the bolter that sent an ork biker into the dirt. He banged on the roof of the Rhino "Drive to the Captain's position" Marius ordered. Another blast landed where the Rhino had been just moments earlier. Loosing another burst of fire into the pursuing orks Aloysus grinned, enjoying the thrill of the deadly chase. "And step on it!"

"Tis best Brother Rephosus, indeed."

""Captain, we must assist Marius Aloysus. His rhino will never outrun those trukks and he does not have the manpower, nor firepower to fight back against such numbers."

"Fine. Stay Stationary, Rayven. The Watch and I shall use our Teleporters to lock onto Aloysus's Teleport Homer."

"I am glad you have seen sense Captain"

Segari sends Roph back to scout out an escape route.

"Was that an insult, Hectoris? I expect better from such a noble warrior."

"Segari, Fabius reports he is redy to examine you. re you ready or shall I tell him to wait?"

"The situation is far to dire to worry about such petty injuries. I shall stand and fight with the 9th"

"Hectoris, we must have him examined post-haste. As for us, we have some Orks to kill. Engage the teleporter!"

Another blast thundered down behind the Rhino. They were getting closer. Marius' fire had left half a dozen bikers dead in the dust of the chase, but they were running out of distance. Dropping the bolter for a moment he grabbed a handful of frag and krak grenades. Priming each in turn he threw them back at the approaching orks. Frag grenades blasted a swathe of orks apart, and one lucky krak grenade took out the engine of a battlewagon causing it to blow up in spectacular syle. Marius whooped when he saw it, but the smile dropped from his face as he saw that a squad of bikes had got ahead of them. "Ram them!" he yelled, turning to spray them with fire from the bolter. He dropped 2 to bolter fire, and the Rhino crushed another that failed to move out of the way in time, the nobs powerclaw no match for the dozer blade that took him in the chest.

"Hectoris, we need to move before we lose our Tactical Sergeant! NOW!"

"As you wish."

"Teleport aboard the ship and relocate us in Marius' vicinity. Use an Orbtal strike to secure clear landing ground amongst that horde!"

Dreph engages his teleporter, locking onto the Teleport Homer. He made a final request for Hectoris to act now."

"NO! WE HAVE 20 MARINES THERE! WE COULD HIT THE RHINOS!"

"I didn't mean shoot our men! I wished for them to clear some nearby space for us to land! I don't think I need to explain how gruesome it is to have an Ork implanted inside your chest!"

Too close. The orks were far too close. Aloysus had taken out as many as he could with bolter and grenade emptying the pintle weapon into them, but they were too many. Suddenly a blast caught the side of the Rhino, and it slewed round violently. Marius was up and out of the roof hatch in an instant as his squad disembarked, forming a disciplined firing line facing the orks. They showed no fear.

"Captain, our Rhino is out of action. We face the orks alone and will hold as long as we can. Death is only the beginning!"

They had shot down forty or fifty as they charged. Backs to the Rhino they fought with pistol and blade. If they were going to die it would be on a mound of Ork dead.

A massive beast appeared in the midst of the orks. Aloysus raised his blade to it in challenge. It charged him, bellowing fury. Aloysus smiled, pulled up his combi-bolter and unloaded a melta shot into its chest incinerating it. "Take that you ugly bastard!" he snarled.

Its an early morning. Rephosus finds himself alone, He decides he is gonna request to be picked up so he can hone his skills for the battle to come until 1 or 2'o clock old terra time. He is going to be in the training cages until then.

Segari awakes.
He is alone on a cold metal slab. The room is bleach white and his armour is stripped off him. Still he has no fear, but amazed that he cannot feel where his wound was. Someone or something had helped him and he did not appreciate the help. Suddenly chains of white hot metal eruped form the slab he was laying upon. They wrapped and constrained his naked form tightly.

"Welcome back human" said a booming voice. It sounded female but at the same time metallic. Segari glanced cautiously in all directions but could not pin point the source. A shadow formed on one of the walls, a strange being had entered through the wall as if it was liquid. " I know you well Apollus. I know your desires, your passions, your fears...."
"I fear nothing, ecspecially you eldar scum!" Segari roared in defiance.
"So you remember your encounter with my kind before, good then you know of our capabilities"
Segari could not fully see the alien, it seemed to absorb all the light around it's form. No matter what she looked like, he knew he would soon have a grip around her throat.
"Why keep me alive?! Why not end this?"
"Human we are not a barbaric race such as yours, we treasure the gifts of this galaxy and maintain the balance of life. It appears as if the balance has tipped in your favour Astartes.
"You hold something within your mind, an entity not of the material realm. It gnaws at your soul, feeding upon your emotion. You witnessd the greater beyond and returned, but some of the afterlife returned with you". His captor seemed to sound arrogant and sure of herself, circling him "If my judgement had come into play you would already have been extinguished"
She barely moved only slightly bowing her head. Segari began to feel something reach inside his mind, grasping his very conciousness. The voice screamed in anguish at the intruders touch. However the hand retreated pulling from his mind.
"No, others have seen far greater plans for you. However your peers seem to not trust you. Telling them about the demon would not be benificial to you or I. Your brothers must never know of the fate we have laid down for you...."

OOC: As deadshot is not here i continue with mine

IC: After i return to the forest i find myself alone i see some strange marking and some bolter shells.
After taking a closer look i can see they came from a heavy bolter which can only mean that something happened to sergeant Segari.
On my own i decide to look for him and my other team mates.

Aloysus charged another group of orks, cuting them down with bolter and blade. Sprinting past their twitching corpses he drew a bead on an approaching battlewagon. He waited until it was close and unleashed his melta's fury, destroying the turret of the battlewagon. The turret's ammo ignited and secondary explosions tore through the ork vehicle, wrecking it and killing or maiming orks nearby.

The rear hatch of the wrecked battlewagon was kicked out and three huge armoured orks strode out. There scorched and burnt armour was like a crude parody of the new Tactical dreadnought armour.

Hastily trying to reload his combi-melta while falling back Marius screamed a warning "Meganobs!"

OOC: and hour has passed and nobody posted so i think its my turn

IC: I open my vox channel and say. ''Hello is anyone here? This is brother rephosus of the arrows of reyvan devastator squad.''

Sir, Sgt Aloysus reports that Meganobs are assaulting his Rhino. He requests our immediate assistance."

Hectoris was already on the move. He knew what those the twisted parodies of his squad could do.

"Jaded Watch, move out. We've got some Orks to slay."

IC: Alright sir from my previous foundings i have confirmed that the enemy here are no mere orks. They used some kind of highly sophisticated technology. Maybe it is the eldar or an unknown alien species.

I go searching to the north as the tracks lead that way.

Aloysus took a blow from an ork that knocked the melta canister spinning from his hand. With a curse that would have earned him a months penance had the captain heard it he put his knife through the ork's eye. He reached for another melta charge, turning back towards the meganobz. A massive powerd claw caught him a backhanded blow across his chest, throwing him hard against the side of the Rhino. Dazed he looked up at the ork as it towered above him.

Deph watched as Aloysus was thrown to the ground. He glanced at the towering Ork, and without a moment's notice had plunged his claws into his abdomen, firing bolter rounds into his cranium.

He gave Aloysus a hand up.

"This isn't a time for naps, sergeant!"

Sergeant Hectoris of the Jaded Watch crashed through the last of the trees in time to see the last 2 Meganobs topple the Rhino containing the Knights of the Basilisk. Thankfully, all of the squad inside escaped. The driver wasn't so lucky. As he pulled himself from the wreckage, the largest of the mechanised greenskins grabbed him in its crushing power claw, and, almost nonchalently, sliced his head, torso and abdomen into their seperate sections. Captain Kalar had just dispatched one of the monstrousities and was dueling with the other that was at the same time engaged with Marius who was at present firing Bolter round and melta charge afte melta charge at the beast.

"Jaded Watch, support your Captain, I'll take the big bastard by the rhino. One of you cover my back, and be ready to cave its skull in should I fall!"

As 3 of his squad charged towards their commander, Hectoris and another of his Jaded Watch charged towards the great beast who had toppled the Rhino. Any orks between them either fell to their hammer and Power Blade, or was killed by the sheer impact of their titanic bulk. As he neared the Meganob he sheathed his blade and lowered his head. He reached the Ork and they collided with a terrific crash, the Ork's mechanised suit strugling to contain the moment of a fully armoured Terminator charging at full speed, but contain it he did. As Hectoris ground to a halt, he reached and and clamped his hand around the greenskin's throat, he strained to lift the monster into the air, even his superhuman strength useless with the amplification of his armour. As the Meganob lift off the ground, it swung its claw towards his chest, impacting with a force to dent the indomitable Tactical Dreadnought armour and still knock the breath from his lungs. Sparks flew as the Crux Terminatus struggled to contain the damgae but the ork was having none of it. Heaving with the effort, caecilius smashed the beast headfirst into the ground.. He smashed his armoured fist time and time agin into the creature's thick skull.

"Stand back Sergeant!" cried his squad mate. Hectoris moved just in time to avoid the crushing blo of the hammer that pulped the Meganob's skull. Rising and drawing his masterfully crafted Power Sword, he turned to see the rest of his squad repeatedly bludgeon the final Meganob, lying helplessly on its back firing its machine gun, killing more orks than marines.

"Are you all right over their Marius? Looks fun!"

After searching for a while i found my first real proof of what the enemy was.

It was the helmet of an eldar guardian.

Vox channel open.'' Captain i found an helmet of an eldar guardian. We have hostile eldar in this sector and i'm 100% sure they also got sergeant segari. Orders?''

Back on his feet Aloysus looked at the Aquila on his breastplate. The ork had cracked it. It was an offence he would not bear. He loaded another melta charge and fired bolter shots into the other ork staggering it, as the captain dueled with it up close. Suddenly three terminators appeared behind it and hammered it to the ground, beating the life out of it. With the demise of the Meganobz the rest of the orks fled, the Knights of the Basilisk gunning several of them down as the fled. Hectoris called out to him from above the corpse of another Meganob "Are you all right over their Marius? Looks fun!"

"Aye" he replied "But these orks don't play nice, so we taught them a lesson in death that they won't forget for a while!"

"Rephosus, I here you loud and clear. Return to this position at once. This war already has enough dead heroes."

After killing the last Ork, Dreph was still on alert, firing off warning shots into the distance. He just wanted to get to the fort, and get there quickly. Lives were at stake, and he could not be responsible for their loss.

"You're a good teacher my friend" he voxed over to Aloysus. "Though I fear these orks have more than these 3 to deal with us."

He connected to an open vox channel. "What is our orders Captain?"

Alright captain i read you loud and clear

What are your coordinates sir? At the moment im at the northern area of the forest where sergeant segari disappeared.

Aloysus looked at the wreckage of his Rhino. "Griffin are the only Squad with a transport left. I suggest we wait for them and Rephosus to arrive and request a drop of transports or a Stormbird extraction to take us to the fort."

"I agree."

Dreph switches on his Vox.

"Rephosus, return immediately. Our co-ordinates are *mumble mumble*. We are requesting a transport drop, or possibly a Stormbird to take us to the fort."

Dreph proceeds to contact the Pride of the Emperor. He requests an Apothecary to check troopers, the armourer to maintain armour and give out new weapons and armour. He also requests either a transport drop or Stormbird, explaining his urgency to reach the fort.

"Jaded Watch, help me flip this rhino, see if we can find anything useful. Captain, we need you too."

The 6 of them lined up on one side of the ruined vehcle. The captain counted to three and they lifted the wreckage up, and flipped it onto its tracks. One of the Basilisks went inside. He came out few minutes later.

"Nothing much. Some medical supplies, enough rations for another few days. Could last a week should we need to. Some spare ammo and a heavy bolter with 1 box mag." said the marine.

"Captain, , my helmet auspex is saying there is Ork activity within 5 metres. it must be ghosting again. Can you confirm?" It was confirmed that his helmet was damaged, so he removed it, allowing everyone to see his face for the first time in months, since it had been mauled by savage beasts on another planet. A ragged purple sacr marred his otherwise handsome face. it irk him that a Xenos scum had made him imperfect. He tossed the helmet onto the wreckage with a loud clang.

Alright sir i have confirmed you order and im underway.

"Captain, I am recieving a communication from "Pride of the Emperor". They say that they can send us a Stormbird immediately, or that they can have a Land Raider and 2 Rhinos dropped in approximately 30 mins if we can wait. They request your orders immediately."

"I think that we should take the Stormbird. After we have been dropped into the fortress, we shall require more armoured support."

Dreph thinks back on Segari.

"And could we have a scan for Xenos craft? We believe one of our own has been taken by an Eldar band."

"Captain, Fabius Bile has contacted me again. He says he's becoming impatient with me, due to my lack of VIP to be treated. He has men needing his attention and Lord Commander Vaspien needs a word with him. What should I tell him about our missing brother?"

''While walking to the pickup zone i stumble upon a patrol of 2 eldar guardians.''

I lay in wait studying their moves i decide i should be open and honest and engage them in an open fight, and maybe i will find out about the wear abouts of sergeant segari.

The 2 eldar look up to me with a surprised gaze and one of them a male yells at me. ''What are you doing here mon-keigh.''

I dont want to fight but do you know the wearabouts of a certain astartes of the emperors children legion.

''Mon keigh i warn you surrender now or we will kill you.''

I see that there is no sense in them and decide to charge.

I kill the first one with my bolt pistol trying to avoid its spirit stone, and with a furious rush slash at the second one. After that i take out their spirit stones and put them in a sack on top of their dead bodies.

Vox channel open '' Eldar presence in the forest confirmed i eliminated a patrol if we want to scan i advice we do it in a 100 mile radius of these coordinates. (blabla,blabla)''

Marius waited for the Stormbird's arrival. The situation with Segari's disappearance and the Eldar forces worried him. We trusted to the Captain to ascertain the best way to resolve the situation.

Hectoris heard the vox. He responded instantly and aggressively.

"Fool! If that was a patrol then their base will be expecting the back! You should have laid low untill the had passed or followed them back! Lay low and hide the bodies!"

His.commander may not like him giving orders, but the commander be damned. If those bodies were found Rephosus would be killed, and they could not afford to lose any more Astartes today.

I am no cruel man so their spirit stones are intact, But their bodies are hidden and i laid a camo pattern robe over them.

I forgot to inform you that i found a data slate with some personnel information and some information about the layout of their base, as well as patrol schedules.

Only problem is. I know what it looks like but not where it is.

"Damn Rookie" Aloysus muttered. He opened the vox to Rephosus "Get back here now, Rephosus, as fast as you can. Do not engage enemy forces unless fired upon. do not disgrace Segari with your reckless actions again"

"REPHOSUS! LEAVE THE VICINITY AT ONCE AND RETURN TO US!"

Dreph takes another breath in.

"You have disgraced the legion with your careless action, and shall be severely punished."

Dreph scans his auspex, checking for Xenos craft. A blip appeared on the edge of the screen.

"I think we have company."

"Emperor preserve us!" cried Hectoris, as the trio of agile Eldar craft sped towards them with unbelievible speed. It was not that they were impossibly fast, although from previous engagements that they were, but the slowness of the aircraft, for they defied the known laws of physics. they moved at little more than a few hundred yards per minute if necessary. No other aircraft than that of the Eldar could remain aloft at such speeds.


"Take cover in the weckage! Jaded watch, Phalanx position!" The marines moved with haste, those of the knights of Basilisks taking coverinside the ruined Rhino. The Terminators of the Jaded Watch were too large, so instead they lined up at the rhino's side, facing the incoming craft, and interlocking their Storm Shields to form a slolid, impenetrable wall. Captain Kalar took position behind the Phalanx, for his Crux Terminatus would not be able to form the same protection as his brothers' shields!
"Stand fast!"
He made a private vox to his squadmates.
"Let's hope these hold, eh?"

After running trough the forest i arrive at the site i find the area under attack.

I grap my missile launcher and wait until the speeder goes in a straight line. I fire a krak missile and hit it in his rear it explodes and luckily the explosion or the wreckage didn't hurt any of my allies.

After that i run to the captain and hand him the data slate.

"Damn it!" Aloysus exclaimed, realising that he was out of melta ammo. "There'd better be something transported in there for me to shoot, or I'm going to have to go and force feed one of those pilots a krak grenade!" he grumbled as a line of shurikens stiched the remains of the Rhino.

Dreph ducked as wailing Shruikens flew overhead. With a brief moment of bold courage, he stood up and raked his claw along the bottom of one of the craft, destroying the weapon and leaving the anti-grav ribbing in tatters. The sleek craft ground to a juddering halt in the soil.

"Rephosus, we need support immediately! Contact the Pride of the Emperor now and request additional support! The eldar ha- zzz - sa - zzz!"

The Psychic energies of the Eldar had clouded the Vox casters.

"Keep an eye on backs!" Those ships could be carrying troops and I don't fancy having an Eldar poking up my ass with his blades!"

One of his squadmates called to him. "A message from Lord Commander Eidolon!"
"Put it on an open channel!"

The deep, clear voice of The Pheonician's second in command wrang over the battle, audible over the sounds of shurkin fire and Xenos craft.

" Brotherhood of Orion, this is Lord Commander Eidolon. Our Lord Fulgrim would like to inform you that he would address you himself but he is currently engaged. He has asked me to collect a situiation report from the survivors. Captain Kalar? I need accurate co-ordinates of your strike force and reports of MIA and casualties. What is your current position?"
