Okay this was the final turn my opponent called it he was tired here is his dead pile and mine at the end it was a ork and imperium victory 8-6 curses!

My man of the match my chaos contemptor took a 6 man squadron of killa kans to himself and a few ork nobs and my opponents warboss killing around 20 militia men to himself through shooting and combat

Nice updates. I've got a couple comments on everything.

First, the Daemon prince looks solid. I like the shading on his jump pack.

As for the marines, I know that you are painting a horde army and are trying to get through them as quickly as possible, but I think you need to add some different colors to give some better contrast. Painting the bolters black and adding in some metal colors would IMO really make these guys shine. Just my 2 cents.

Nice conversion on the priest. Can't wait to see him painted up.

Thank you Freytag93 I was shocked he came put as well as he did I was thinking of adding brass to them for the edges of the shoulder pads and as you said adding gunmetal to the metal on the guns (ill be honest I forgot it ) and thank you I was worried he wouldn't come out chaos enough, also thank you mate!

Hello everyone I will first start off apologising for there being no photos or updates we did play a game but it went from a small game to a big game and there wasn't any real plan set (it was fun but it lasted about 3 turns) but I can say however that I've bought the genestealer cult codex and will be making an army of them for my militia (with some interesting stuff added in) but it will still have the genestealer cult models I'll also be getting back into the swing of building my infantry to fully finish off my troops (starting on Sunday )

Hello all I've got a bit of a bizarre update the vindicator I was building had its gun sprue next to it I've just gotten back to build it and the sprue is gone which is odd and ever so slightly annoying (it's those damned orks I'm sure) but anyway I've had to start work on the other vindicator so I have at least something to post so it might be more like next week it'll be done but hopefully by then the other vindicators parts will have shown up

You can't trust those thieving gits, the Deathskulls have already made their own Vindicator with it I'm sure

I've got the vindicator here it's got some minor chaos stuff due to it being more undivided than nurgle but here is the somewhat built shrine I've ran out of glue just now there will be a priest for the shrine as well as more nurgle stuff (the last shrine was a disaster it fell apart) I apologise for it not being much to look at I really had it in my mind that a vindicator was much bigger than what it is but I'm making another shrine as an objective marker to make up

Tzeentch must not want your Militia to get reinforcements, I would recommend sacrificing a few of your models to him to appease him

I know damned tzeentch however he was kind enough to send some other reinforcements and don't worry I've set my rogue psykers to the task of performing the needed ritual but as I mentioned another form of reinforcements is incoming not long after my thousand sons and militia but that is a secret

Hello all here is my guard (I was going to make them into warp cultists but I decided not to ) the list is as follows
Command squad with straken, nork, yarrick, medical, standard and vox
Command squad commander with plasma pistol, vox, standard, plasma gun, medical and master of the ordnance
Command squad with 2 snipers, medical, vox and commander.
Veteran squad 1- shotguns, 3 flamers and a sergeant with power fist and bolt pistol
Veteran squad 2- lasmen squad
Veteran squad 3- 3 snipers, sergeant with a bolt gun
Veteran squad 4-3 flamers
Veteran squad 5- 3 plasma guns
Veteran squad 6- 3 melta guns
There is of course other equipment I was going to add like carapace but this isn't an army list just a general list of stuff

Hello all got an update here I've just discoved that I didn't actually place my order but in the mean time I've been given some glue by my bampy sadly it only works for games workshop plastic miniatures and the sort so I've been cracking on with some warp cultists and some vehicles I will by the months end have those two massive deamons from forgeworld here which I cannot wait for, all hail the dark gods!

Hello all I've got a quick update and I warn you I'm being like a child again xD I've set a little mini "battle" (excuse the terrible proxy terrain) of some of the guardsmen I bought facing off against my renegade militia and a their new toy

The little story for it is, on cova seven the forces of the master met with stiff resistance facing off against the 578th valhallan ice warrior regiment "the dead eyes" on the outskirts of the hablocks near tovic hive city, the battles were characterised by the brutal close quarter fighting although ultimately the forces of the master were forced to retreat after 4 months of bitter fighting"

Here is what I've got (plus what guardsmen I had before) now I will say I have about 2 more platoons worth of bits and a lot of heavy weapons teams which are half built but here is the list of stuff built and ready (apart from some of my other guard as I've decided to put for example all my catachans out as I've got a ton more and so on) the list is
83 catachans with lasguns
9 catachans sergeants
17 catachan special weapons
12 catachans with vox's
3 platoon commanders with one standard bearer
3 catachans with missile launchers
Now onto the valhallan
27 men with lasguns
5 special weapons
5 holding mortar shells
3 sergeants
Now onto the veterans of the army
10 man squad of old cadian infantry with a sergeant and a flamer
9 man mordian infantry with a grenade launcher and a sergeant
With 15 old stormtroopers (using them as tempestus) with a meltagun a sergeant with a bolt pistol and another with a power sword
I then have 8 heavy bolters, 5 mortars, 6 lascannons and 2 autocannons
And 5 ratlings and 5 ogryns
As I said there is a lot more unbuilt stuff so there will be more updates in future of them (perhaps even their own blog maybe)

Hello all sorry I've been fairly busy working so I can pay for more stuff namely boxes for my militia and other armies and most importantly glue I've been given/set a deadline to have all my militia built by so they can be put into their new home and After that painting my militia completely hopefully the next update will by my deamon reinforcements arriving and after hopefully by August time I'll have a massive update in the form of all of my infantry all 10 full platoons built with command squads and veterans joined by another update of all of their armour

Hello all just seen about 8th edition and I won't lie it seems like it'll be very fun of course I'm waiting till I see rules first but I'm excited none the less but I am not worried more interested how militia will transfer over I hope they remain the same more or less same pts and such but I hope sbove all else they keep sigils and banners to aid with are leadership but time will tell and I've got my hopes up

But anyway will have an update tomorrow of tanks I will also tomorrow be linking a battle report which a friend has made for his traitorous sons of Horus I hope that soon I can get back into the swing of building my stuff again and playing so soon hopefully there will be even more updates and even more battle reports

Hello all now this update is going to reveal a sort of Master plan and a very interesting force I will be buying hopefully soon although I have a ton of stuff of friends I'm buying at the moment but anyway I am thinking of doing a small sons of sek army now the figures I will be using are really cool infantry models from a company called vanguard miniatures I won't lie I stumbled across them while looking for alternative models for 40k renegades so here is a link to the website so you can see what they look like http://vanguardminiatures.co.uk/product-category/defeat-in-detail-28mm/28mm-tainted-forces/
Now the plan is to buy enough to make two platoons of 36 infantry men all mounted in chimeras backed up by a command squad and 2 veteran squads this list will be posted later as it uses the bloody handed reaver devotion and will provide a rather interesting army I've never used before and a rude shock to my friends imperial guard

They're nice looking models, especially that heavy weapon one. Sounds like a good plan!

Not long now till my reinforcements arrive, the glue should be a little while afterwards so yeah I apologise it's taken so long, but in other news and slightly off topic me and a friend have written a tester set of rules for a star wars miniatures game so soon enough there will be another blog for that and the starship troopers will get some love to in the form of a small battle report and some more moblie infantry built

Just saved a fairly large amount of chaos marines from the bin I'll have photos tomorrow but it's fair to say I'm happy although I will say that due to the change of editions and that I have already a massive collection I have held off on buying more it sucks but it'll make my collection way more manageable also on another note the Star Wars blog I'll be doing fairly soon I'll also have links to where I've gotten stuff and will some time soon post what rules I've written for it but I'll have to explain that in the blog

It sure is war kitten fairly cheap to only about £40 for the lot add that to what I already have chaos marine wise and I have a very large marine army unsure on the flesh tearers though, well amazingturtles I would love to add that many in don't think my wallet or my girlfriend would agree xD and they certainly are I'm excited to start playing 8th with them still a little unsure on the militia as I don't yet have the book but hopefully they will still be awesome ah damn evildrcheese I didn't think of that xD thankfully I've planned to stop buying so many models so I can start saving money for other things but also it gives me time to finish building the militia I have left to build but above all else allows me to start painting everything

Hello everyone got a surprise a friend of mine who used to play 40k has just sold me a rather large army of orks and a space wolves army as you can guess the green skins will be converted to be mutant rabbles to have the glory of dying for the dark masters and the space wolves will be converted into fresh reinforcements for my chaos marines

Hello everyone I first off have to say that although I've been a little absent from the forum I have been getting games in using imperial guard as militia (until I get the forgeworld book and do a chaos cult fandex thanks to the ghosts novels) I must say this edition is by far my favourite and I hope that by next month my army with be finished well built at least to be painted I will have a few more additions to the army namely a friend giving me another 4 leman russes and maybe the starter set next month however this weekend coming I'll be at my local clubs 24 hour gaming night so I will hopefully have a few games there against my friend Alex and his filthy loyalist imperial guard so you will have updates of that although I'll be honest the wifi there isn't great and I've run out of data for the month so I'll have to see if I can do it while I'm there or save the photos for upload afterwards

Hello all let me just first say the 30 hour gaming night didn't go really to plan the person I was supposed to play backed out at the past minute and when I got there most people were playing board games and 8th edition warhammer fantasy so I didn't manage to get a game in but It gives me time to write my chaos cult fandex so I guess it's a good thing

Hello all minor update it'll be a three way game between me using guard rules for my traitors a friend using space marines, and the necron player is unsure weather to take necrons, tau or chaos space marines, I will post my army list on the day

Here are the pictures of the set up and I think 2 turn but there are a few more to come

Here are the 3rd and final turn with a necron victory due to the relic being captured by them but the traitors did a good job destroying a fair amout of necrons iron lord himself (the shadowsword) accounted for a oblilisk and repulsor as well as putting a monolith down to 2 wounds and my russes reaped a bloody tally although the game was fairly nasty for the necrons they simply refused to die, I will also say that being my first big game for 8th it certainly won't be my last I will also like to point out that I forgot about taking photos of it turn by turn

Ahahha loving the corpse pile! They'll be avenged I am sure, and that was a great opportunity to see your militia deployed on the field of battle.

They sure will be there is a rematch planed for February and thank you it was fun to use them for the first time in such a large game in 8th

Hello all I have a bit of an announcement my group of friends have planned a campaign to play over Christmas through to sometime next year so there should be regular updates and hopefully some story driven missions

You sure will but however the update I have now is the campaign is postponed till January namely due to all of us being unable to find enough time and for the person who planned the campaign to write up how it works and the like but it will be definitely happening but anyway in other news I've almost completed a chaos cult fandex and shall be posting it when it's all done and play tested and I'll have the last of the militia men arrive around Christmas time and then I'll be building like mad over Christmas

Hello all I have been pretty busy with planning my militias change in scheme and look as well as writing a fandex so haven't really found the time but here we go, the militias look as well as scheme will be heavily influenced by the nordland republic or as they are referred as the Norts from the rogue trooper comic book so as such the army will become a little more uniformed as such but will still be a chaos cult/traitor guard army I do plan on taking the heads off the models I have already and replacing them with heads more fitting of the look the nordlanders have here are some photos of what they look like just to show off what my militia will more than likely end up looking like I already have plans on where to get similar looking heads

Hello all i first would like to apologise for the lack of updates life has been getting me down and I haven't really touched anything hobby related I have done/planned more things to do or rather be done by the end of the year which will include my militia (infantry wise) being redone to look like the nordlanders from rogue trooper with a colour scheme to match which I have a friend who will be helping this become a reality as well as near Christmas I may have my very own fort for both 40k and warhammer fantasy as well as others I will have updates very soon of stuff I have built over my time off

So far the only model I can take a photo of at the moment is the traitor librarian from warhammer world as my marbo and friends are some where on a top secret mission for the dark gods

Hello all I've been struggling to find marbo and the rest of the figures I bought to be made as new servants of chaos and to be honest I'm a bit out of 40k at the moment but never fear I'll have my army repainted but sadly not redone for now the heads are staying where they are due to the cost for new ones and I would rather the army done and painted with only the heads needed to be redone than to leave them plastic grey until I have the money to get suitable heads I shall be providing reinforcements in the form of sentinels in the near future and perhaps photos of my latest reinforcements once they have been relocated and pressed into service I should also say that I'll still be playing games and adding new battle reports and sometime either this month I will begin the great spray paint but I honestly need to get back into 40k it's been far too long since I've had a game and the dark gods ever hunger for new sacrifices

Well this is going to be strange for a lot of people but I'm back! Sadly I was lost in the warp for a while although I had a chance to gain some new allies and even more loyal followers and what would you know I've even painted a lot of them but anyway I am excited to be back and I'll hopefully have a large update of roughly most of what's happened army wise, needless to say the next few months for me will be busy so watch this space

Here's some of the stuff I've either finished or have been working on over the past 2 years

Just some more of the renegades, although I do need to take a few more photos of them in their units, also please ignore my dirty keyboard I mainly build and paint models over it and usually it ends up dirty and sadly these are older photos where I hadn't cleaned it, also I will have some more photos tomorrow of my new allies, some other stuff I've missed and what I'm currently working on

So I've been a little busy with painting this batch of cultists, they are almost finished just a wash left and then they are ready to face down the enemies of the dark gods!, I will also get some photos of their astartes masters tomorrow sadly I've not had much time to get them as painted as these guys but that'll change soon enough.

So here they are sadly I haven't painted them all up, but I've left them mainly on the back burner while I do the cultists, that and I still have a lot of vehicles and daemon engines to repair and respray, getting back into the swing of posting semi regularly is giving me a bit more motivation to finish my on going projects, speaking of those projects on Monday I should have a semi large post with a bunch of militiamen I'll be building

It's great to see you updating again! And with a heck of a lot, too. Those creepy spawn type guys are some of my favorites i think, especially the one with a tentacle for a face.

They were interesting to build to say the least sadly a few were slightly warped and I may or may not of glued my fingers once or twice but seeing that we may be getting some legends rules has improved my mood, fingers crossed we do!

Hello everyone just got a small update here to let you all know what's happening, so with the renegades not being in the new forgeworld book it does give me an opportunity to homebrew some stuff for them, thankfully as I said before pretty much all the people in the local store are okay with me running them as renegades, now they will on some occasions be used as just imperial guard but that will usually be with a new opponent or run a more elite renegade style army, however with the homebrewing it'll mainly be giving the renegades "regiments" similar to the different devotions from the 6th edition and 7th edition books, along with warlord traits and some stratagems, I will more than likely include another unit or two, that being said it won't be for a while, now onto something more upbeat I will be getting the renegades built later on so I hopefully will have a photo of them built and ready for spraying.

Good luck with all those guys! They're armless now but i'm sure they won't be harmless soon enough

Ah very true although I have made a few with chainswords and laspistols just so I can use them as guard infantry, and very true I've found mutant spam with slaanesh and ogryns works well

Hello everyone I apologise for the lack of updates, I haven't done much else with my renegades yet but I have got plans for a game soon however it'll be with my word bearers army to try them out but I do intend to see if I can get a game with the renegades and test out the legends army list at the same time

Good luck in the game mate! Hard done by with the new Legends rules. It is a beautiful grey sea of heretics - will be awesome to see them painted up (eventually!).

Thank you tzurk it is just a little although I'll admit a few of the legends things I really like although I do intend to of course add some that I feel they are missing and sorely need, i hopefully should have more militia painted soon as well

Okay so yesterday I played a 103 power game against my best friend and avid blood angel player I will later on post the photos (i apologise I'm not the best photographer and I tried to do it turn by turn but we both got so into the game we forgot sometimes ) we will both be having a rematch roughly about 2 weeks from now of 125 power, it has been fantastic getting back into the game and we both enjoyed a hard fought game.

Hello everyone I just wanted to fill you in that with the next game I will try to have the photos turn by turn with an update to explain what is happening, I aim to also do some lore before the game and afterwards, I will also post before game army lists, that being said in the mean time I will be painting up more renegades ready for the game

Hello everyone and happy new year , due to everything currently going on I've not really done much with my renegades, this was mainly down to just lack of motivation in doing anything hobby related, which I am glad to say has now changed, with that I am aiming to start posting again in a few days and I intend to keep to a semi regular posting schedule so I can get through the hordes of traitors, cultists and mutants in my to do pile, although I intend to add a few more interesting troops to that pile (with the help of my fellow hobbyist friends) but I've already said too much.

Great battle pics mate, would love to read a more detailed report of the next one!

There's always something cathartic about finally getting to play with the models you've built and (if you're lucky!) painted.

Thank you! I aim to do the new one a bit more in-depth with some "plot" behind the battle just a bit of lore and then a turn by turn report with photos
I completely agree with you there I'm itching to get back into the swing of painting so I can have a fully painted list

Hello everyone! So I may of let slip in one of my last posts about about some "interesting troops" well I do intend to make some mutants, which i will be using poxwalkers as a base amongst other bodies and bits, I've not really tried to make so many proper mutants before so it should prove an interesting challenge.

I also intend to add some interesting hqs to the army but those will remain shrouded in secrecy for now as they are nowhere near completion but I will say this,
