Got a little trigger-happy with my credit card at the FLGS and ended up getting a Breakaboss on Mirebrute Troggoth for my Kruleboyz, a Hive Tyrant for my Tyranids, and some of the new Scouts for my Dark Angels. Plus a can of Wraithbone because I need more primer.

One of the fellas from the local club is over at warhammer world at the moment. Was kind enough to pick me up a set of the invisible ringbearers.

Also grabbed the 1st issue of Stormbringer from my local newsagents. Because why not.

I also picked up some more Solar Aux Infantry, another box of Baneblades, and a third box of Malcador Infernus/Valdors for my Legion Imperiales.

Got the Praetorian Spearhead box for Ossiarch Bonereapers. I'd been considering starting an OBR army for a while and saw Element Games still had a few of the Christmas boxes in stock so thought why not. Just need to figure out what scheme I want to paint them up as.

Just ordered Clash of Rhyfles the 2 - player box set of plastic Quar from Wargames Atlantic. very excited to dig in.

Ordered some Quar sans the skirmish rules online. Also swung by the flgs and used my credit plus a 20% sale to get a gnome blood bowl team and the warcry hunters box set. Just really haven’t been feeling it for game stuff lately.

Picked up a Deimos Rhino & box of Special Weapons for HH this evening.

After doing my HH inventory I've decided to make my remaining Marines 10 with rotor cannons & the other 10 with meltaguns.

My LI Arvus Lighters finally showed up at the local shop!

They & my Dire wolves were on the invoice sheet a few weeks back - but not in the box.
Then last Wednesday the wolves showed up in a completely separate box all their own. No invoice, no paperwork. Not even any packing material.

Now today I got a call that my Arvus's had arrived in the same fashion.

FLGS had some obsolete books and I picked up the 3rd Edition Ork codex for $30. That was a bit of a hit, but at the same time I purchased 4 bags of discontinued GW flock for $10 each, 6th Edition revised Lizardmen and Vampire Counts books, and followed it up with the revised 3rd Edition Dark Eldar codex for $14. To top it all off I nabbed the 3rd Edition Armageddon codex for $22 shipped off ebay.

Not a bad haul.

Now I just need a speeder or two & I think I'll call my HH SM stuff done.

Local club was having a swap meet day. Went and picked myself up a set of the old WHFB movement trays NiB for $15, an old generic metal Space Marine captain, a bunch of the old Imperial battle psykers which included a very old Telepath model from '96.
Had to stop myself deep diving through the monstrous box of sprues one fella had. It only would have ended badly for me. A cursory look was all I'd allow my self.


Also bought myself a dice try and a few paints.

I finally gave in & bought a new dice tray.

I was playing in a huge multi-player, 50k+ pt 40k game today and between terrain & units there just wasn't really room to roll enough dice on the table....

The grenadier up grade kits and kneeling command squad bodies were shipped out of Estonia yesterday. If the upgrades are good quality I will order two sets of the cavalry upgrades and two boxes of Rough Riders. That should complete my Krieg collection.

Managed to snag three of the old Krootox for 25 euro on Ebay. 3 for under the price of one of the new ones. They're Finecast, but I'll take it. I have a box of old Kroot models and some Finecast hounds, and now I've got the Krootox too. I was put off by how expensive they were til now.

Pretty pleased, Kroot are awesome.

Last year I made 50 ancient (2e/3e era) cast off Plague Marines at least playable - stripped & re-base coated, everyone got a backpack, replaced missing/damaged bases/arms/shoulder pads/etc, & every squad got a pair of either melta guns or plasma guns. And plasma pistols/melee weapons for the sgts.
This pass sees the melta teams add plague spewers (and barrel backpacks for those guys) & all squads receive blight launchers as well. Oh, and a Nurgle Icon for a scratch built Icon bearer.

Finally got the limited edition Holga Clovenhorn mini for a not-too-insane price. Really liking all the new female Chaos warriors who are not all sexed up.

I purchased 2 lots from eBay recently.
the first was a necron lot containing 25 the green rod warriors, 6 old sculpt scarabs, 5 death marks and fine cast chronomancer.

I've been splurging quite a lot with the Dwarfs release for Old world!

I've focused on the metal release for now as this it the most expensive part, and stock seems quite volatile so I grabbed everything I wanted right away. So far I've got the Slayers and Slayers command, the Bugman's Cart, Ulther command and 3x Warriors, and Anvil of Doom, the Imperial Dwarf command and Warriors and complemented the later with some extra Forlon Miniature Imperial Dwarfs. Also grabbed two Vintage mini's off Ebay for my first few characters (Kazador and Krag the grim) for my lord and runesmith.

Also got a gaming mat to dress my table properly for Fantasy, got a nice double-sided one with a grass and desert side, as well as some small pre-painted fantasy cottage to go with it.

It was a expensive month to say the least

Managed to get a nice price on a 6th ed WHFB General's Compendium. Only ever had this as a pdf and its a very entertaining book.

I finally found a GyrFalcon Jetbike.
I've wanted one (just 1) to mount a HQ SM on in 30k for some time. GWs always out of stock & I refuse to pay what people want on eBay etc.

This past week I was at GenCon, stopped through the GW booth, & low & behold they had 2! GyrFalcons. One came home with me & is now awaiting cleaning/assembly.
Soon my HQ guy will be able to fly about the board with the rest of the jetbikes.

Ok. A Kratos wasn't very high on my shopping list. Just one of those "maybe eventually" pieces.

Got a few pieces of those made to order Dwarfs to round out my freshly started Dwarfs army. Got the hero pack with the BSB, the Slayer pack, and Queen Helga.

I found an old 6th Edition Fantasy rulebook at a local used book store over the weekend. I was never really into playing fantasy back in the day, but there's a lot of nostalgia stuffed into that book.

Preorder locked in at the LGS for KT: Hivestorm. No idea when I'll be able to enjoy it just yet, got a move coming up in the meantime and will need to relocate my "Hobby space" to my workspace, which will be a 10 minute walk from the new apartment..

Someone I know got a $25 voucher because it was a year since he first used the new website, so he says.



Wasn't a purchase I was looking to make just yet, but I grabbed Fangs of the Blood Queen and Zondaras Gravebreakers. Online resellers seem to be no longer getting Fangs, and it's a good deal on the Bats/Wolves. Gravebreakers well... because you can never have too many necromancers.

I'm quite willing to let mine expire if the new Squats don't come out in time, or the new Underworlds box. They'll hopefully be my next Game Purchases.

Don't look at the voucher as being insufficient to cover the price of a product, look at it as a coupon code for an "online only" item of your choice. $15 off a $30 item is effectively a 50% discount, off a $45 item is a $33% discount, etc. You will almost never get a deal that good anywhere else.

Picked up some Living Dead Peasants, which are very nice.
Also got some Albion Knights Pegasus riders. Unfortunately, I didn't realise the Pegusi are resin, not great quality either. Ah well, they were cheap for 4 of them and I can clean them up, but disappointing.

Bonus, I got 4 more cloaks in the kit, so my Grey Company will be easier to upgrade with Elladan and Elrohir converted from Oathmark Elves.

Yeah. My opinion is they're very nice peasant zombies, six different bodies, some male some female, and a variety of arms and heads, grasping hands and weapon hands (I prefer grasping myself but the option is good).

Up to now I had liked the Mantic Zombies, and I still do like them, but these guys have a lot more character I think.

Bought a second hand (it looks like it's a 302nd hand) copy of the 2nd Edition of Age of Darkness Rulebook.

Now I can finally read the rules and no longer make vague guesses based on what I remember from 7th edition 40k.

Yeah, they'd mix in well in a larger horde but the pose variety isn't great. En masse they look fine at tabletop distance, but I wanted these peasant zombies for more skirmish gameplay where the individual poses would stand out more (also I have my Mantic Zombies on 20mm squares and am gonna do these on 25mm circles).

Working on my 40 Mantic zombies tonight as it happens.

So I decided not to use my $15 voucher to get overpriced resin I will never, ever paint, and instead got 2 terrain kits since there's a better than 50/50 chance I will paint it.

The Mordians are very, very nice. All those 2nd edition Historicals with Lasguns are nice, but the Mordians stand out.

Picked up a HH Contemptor Dreadnought this evening.

Once built it'll round out my Talon for later on in our League matches.

The rules for Midgard Heroic Battles and a Frostgrave soldiers box to make shipping from Northstar more worthwhile.

Got my GF some Lizardmen dices for Christmas, and got myself some Tyranids dice at the same time to make the shipping worth it.

Picked up another BattleFoam Pack 720 (empty) this evening.
This one is dedicated to my Dark Angels.

Armoured Clash faction box (the Crown) from the company Warcradle. I'm really tempted to get some Flesh Eater Courts for AOS but I have unfinished armies already.

I had a very restrained Black Friday. My only purchase was a handful of Brother Vinni minis.

But more recently I nabbed myself a Spira Mirabillis bust that I initially missed. Found an Australian reseller that had a few. Paid a bit more for it then I would have liked, but I'm not too broken up about it as it's a fantastic piece.
And I just pulled the trigger on a bunch of paints and basing materials I need for a few different armies.

For Steam I bought Total War Empire, and Inquisitor Martyr.

For Nintendo Switch I got Eiyuden Chronicles, Final Fanatsy 7 the original, and DLC for Fire Emblem 3 Houses.

Picked up my two Old World Manors that I let sit at the FLGS rudely long.

Boxing day here in Canada, and my FLGS offered a buy one get one at 50%, on top of the regular discounted price (15% off). Amazingly this was also on GW product (9 time out of 10 those are excluded from sales and stuff).

Got myself what I needed to finish my Dwarfs for the Old World, so one box each of Warriors, Quarrellers, Miners, and Canons & Organ gun!

For Christmas I got myself another Battlefoam Pack 720.

Pot of Lahmian medium and a Wight Lord for conversion fodder.

Just picked up a second box of Stormstrike Palladors and a Stormreach Portal for my Stormcast Eternals.

For Christmas I bought the 10 ed core rules with the Chaos Marine and Tau codexs. I like having the physical medium. Still haven't bought a GW model in over 3 years.

I bought a couple emblems for my Adeptus Titanicus force that I haven't put together yet.

1st minis bought in 2025! - I really thought it'd be the new Krieg stuff - but it turned out to be..... a couple of replacement Necron ships (several Jackles & 1 Scythe) for BFG.

Why? Because rumblings & chatter of the current group finally playing BFG have increased yet again.
So I decided it was time to dig out the Necron fleet that I've been sitting on since it was new.
For the life of me I couldn't find 3 of the ships. I KNOW I had them. They all came in a bundle deal & I know it was complete when I got it. Alas, 20some years is plenty of time to misplace something....

Picked up some new MCP releases and got a bunch of stuff to expand my Shasvasti force into a proper Combined Army for Infinity.

For a while Necromunda metal prices were sky high but as more plastics have come in they're not exactly cheap but at least only mountain high not sky high.

So I picked up 30 old Necromunda Van Saars. They'll serve as still suited Fremen for my old (and soon to be renewed) Tallarn army. Count as Scions/Storm Troopers.

Just googled those models as the "still suited fremen" catched my eyes, and that looks like a cool concept for Tallarn, models are ace! Won't show that to the GF cause she gonna want some! She already have her Tau desert based and have lots of Sardaukar and Fremen and Bene Gesserit inspiration in there

On my end I just bought the TOW rule book page tabs thingy to keep track of where all the rules are. Played another game during the Christmas break and boy is that book all over the place! Will definitely help (I hope)!

Someone suggested it ages ago and I always wanted to try it. A buddy of mine did Tuskan Raiders/Sand people with Dark Eldar for his Tallarn Storm Troopers.

I bought Ork Kommandos for kill team and am deciding on which 3rd party heads look better (berets or watch caps).

I picked up a used Hemlock Wraithfighter this afternoon at the shop at a very nice price ($40).

It immediately entered service & performed admirably in back to back games.
It's NOT the equal of my Drukhari aircraft, or my Stormraven....
But i predict it'll see a lot of use.

After our last game, decided its time to finally start tackling my grey board sections with renewed vigor.. So went to an art shop and bought a dark brown spray (Amsterdam Vandyke Brown), to a hobby shop where I bought a dark grey spray (Tamiya TS-4 German Grey), and lastly spent a 15€ GW voucher and got those re-introduced Citadel Hills (thus completing my Citadel Hills collection). As soon as weather conditions allow, its time to start putting some work into those Realm Of Battle cityscape board sections.

HEROSCAPE: AGE OF ANNIHILATION, baybee. My gateway drug into wargaming when I was a wee Raptorus.

Nabbed a Black Coach of marketplace for a veritable song. More then 60% off retail price. Couldn't say no to that.

Got Squighog boyz for 20% off. I remember ages ago someone had posted concepts for squig riding orks, and I'd always wanted the concept to be seen through to bring back Boar Boyz in a way that was integrated into the modern "Orkology" background.

The Squighogs are exactly that. I was put off by the price for ages but it's nearly the 30 year anniversary of my first Snakebite Boarboy so I picked up a box and made them. Like all modern GW models they're lovely and dynamic, but it's a shame they're so monopose because I can't see myself shelling out that much for a unit that is identical. The Nob model is lovely though.

Using them for Grimdark Future 2.5 as Boss Bikers with the Beast upgrade and a Warboss with the Beast upgrade, to lead my feral orks for my planned Armageddon games. I've got a Forgeworld Squiggoth too so it's nice that he has some squiggy friends now.

4 GW paints, first restock since before Christmas as GWOZ is hopeless.

Because I'm evil, I just bought a copy of Ultramarines: A Warhammer 40,000 Movie on DVD for an unsuspecting friend for his birthday!

...And I also bought him some Tau stealth suits too, but I'm going to have him open the movie first.

Nah. Wandered down to my friends Pub this evening, and new Comic Shop was open. Stuck my beak in, clocked these, snaffled them.

One for me, one for friend (dropped off this evening), one for a currently largely hypothetical Charidee Raffle.

2 Cos EC boxes, there is a painting competion in my lgs next month, trophies from gdubs including Lucius for second place and our lovely primarch for 1st place. Going to paint some slaanesh marines and hopefully I win big, but there is lot of contest, so may the best man win!

Remembered I had a gift card for one of the local art supplies stores, so I grabbed myself a few brushes as you can never have too many.

Picked up my HH Mechanicum heavy support bundle box. I suppose my last preorder from the FLGS for a while, as I was booted from the club for not being a 40k player and no longer get discounts.

Picked up a Devilfish to finish off my Tau collection and a Grey Knights Strike Squad. Pretty impressed with the kit, and I'm gonna kitbash a multimelta for my marines out of some of the bits. I wanted that Dawn of War feel where they are an elite squad for my Marines rather than doing a whole army, and I wanted to get them while they're still the proper size to fit with my 2e-6e marines.

Ended up getting the new tempestus aquilon box, the death korp engineers, the 'free' warhammer plus inquisitor, and the resin bretonnian foot knight (Mainly just to have him and add him to the foot knights and make the unit look so much better!)

Scored this lovely old Chaos Sorcerer from eBay. Can't wait to paint him, the last of these I got was a joy to paint.

My 3rd Snarlboss on War-Wheela kit for my Gitmob army.

1 built as the Snarlboss, 1 built as the Shaman option, and I had the itch to make a 2nd shaman version of it, but didn't want to make the same one that came in the box. This 3rd one is converted using a slightly modified WHFB plastic goblin shaman on some leftover bits from a Mega-gargant (King Brodd's skull helmet in place of this chariots kits giant skull).

I don't think I spent more than $40 for all this. I wish I'd bought a few more of the painted Hordes Circle minis that were on offer. Warmachine and Hordes were being sold for a fraction of retail.  

-Hordes: Circle Orboros. Two plastic warbeasts magnetized for all options! Also, Metal Human and Lycanthrope versions of another Hordes Character. Going to paint over the green parts with red and bone, give them a wash and highlinght and have some more chaos beast folks for my KOW and AoF armies.

Just ordered a pair of Cargo 8 Haulers from Necromunda.
Since I can't field more than 3 Basilisks in 40k anymore? I'm going use two of my now "spares" & convert these Haulers into Earthshaker Gun Carriages - when I'm finished they'll resemble Italian Lancia 3Ro's from WWII.

I am so happy you guys, the models were popular when I first got into the hobby, but I never really had the means to secure one myself. Now it rests beside my Oop Contemptor Dreadnought and my Helbrutes.

A while back I dumped out my extensive bits collection, organized it, and figured out that with all the extra arms, heads, weapons, etc., that if I had some more bodies and bases I could make not only whole squads, but WHOLE ARMIES of 40k figures.

So, PLA for the printer, I bag of bases, glue, epoxy, and a few bits-order parts to even things out.

Some more terrain bitz, mostly for our D&D game.

The FLGS Memorial Weekend Clearance sale got me.

Preparing for the new Space Wolves release I got out my SW army and restructured. The Thunderwolf characters are now a TW cavalry unit. My cyberwolves are all now one unit as part of the new Headtakers. 30 Bloodclaws and 20 Grey Hunters are now 40 Bloodclaws, 20 Tactical Marines, and 3 Lieutenants.

To achieve this, after a bits-box shakeout, I 3D printed 17 bodies (Primaris and firstborn) and spent about $40 on bits from ebay.
