If you upload your images to the dakka gallery, people can vote on them (dakka also gives you to code to include the images directly into the thread too, rather than people having to click on the links).
Also means that anyone who can get on dakka at work can see your work - my work filters block out photobucket :(

Also, can't wait to see that VMB Russ all finished. The mass from the turret is really cool.

I like the jump packs, too. The "wings" look a bit blocky though.
Also, you can post the pics directly into the thread by copy/pasting the code under the photo in the gallery... I'm not the best at giving directions all the time, let me try an example:
Also read as:
You can copy and paste the field under the pic (in the gallery) labeled "Share This Image; Forum"
Other's should be able to say it (rather, type it) more succinctly.
I really like the Mechanicus forces, so I'll be watching with interest. Especially your conversions, those jump packs are very promising!

Wow, I had no idea! I had always assumed that traitor guard was the most common, although now that I think about it the only reason I ever thought that was because that was the only covnerted IG army I've ever seen.

Good to hear mate.
My AdMech army is in bits right now but will be for display, not for gaming.
I have 10 MicroArts Iron Brotherhood to represent Skitarii; some converted servitors for the larger Biosoldiers (cant remember the term) and some FW/GW bits and pieces which will become the Tech Adepts and Magos.
I too have the Steampunk wings for my Magos, however, they cant to me completely by chance in a bits trade.
At present Im working on a schematic for an Ordinatus Minoris... based upon the Epic version and scaled up its gonna be the size of a gaming table... roughly 4" x 6"
At present also working out what materials would achieve the best result and be cost effective. Im thinking of using a foam cutter for the main body, then attaching details; guns; track units onto this...

its an autocannon, a rocket launcher, and a bumper from a land raider I think
the top is 2 IG ammo cans and a shoulderpad
if you click the picture and zoom in it's pretty obvious.

the 5 Defilers have arrived!
I am using 2 old leman russes as wrecks to place onto bases for the stalk tanks to be crawling over, stalk tanks will have a variety of possible weapons, I'm mulling over if they should have sensing "tendrils" made from the defiler close combat arm or not. This will be counts as: various medium IG vehicles, hydra's and such, depending on which turret is attached.
Some of the parts and more misc bits are going into mechanicus knight titans, which will be counts as: leman russes
Also making extra land raider sized bases for the titans for when I am using the red knights of mars.

Its a plasma gun
My plan with the stalk tanks cannon is, either add more wires so its more energy based looking, or add a mechanical arm that can dig shells out of a can between the legs on the side,
Have to dig through bits for inspiration.

Thanks!
I'm actually changing my color scheme slightly, coloring in the chest armor of my infantry an oily gunmetal similiar to the sentinal legs, gives them alot more character.

Biggest bits shipment in history is inbound, enough to replace virtually every vehicle and build tons more troops!
I decided on for stormtroopers:
- SM scout head
-Command squad long-las sniper rifle
-Cadian torso
-Tau legs (mechanical-ized)
I am also on the lookout for some sort of storage bay to convert stalk tanks (as above) into chimera transports, some boxy thing that it can be dragging or can be lashed to its underside and not look bad

19377
Post by: Grundz
Correct
I talked with the owner of ramshackle a few times trying to sort out what I actually wanted.
Im actually pretty impressed, the resin models need some cleanup but are alot higher quality than I intiially expected, the larger things like the rumblers have rough edges but nothing huge.
the "mini tanks" or whatever they are, need some minor cleanup and aren't quite symetrical, but are otherwise great, one or two of the 12 has slightly malformed smoke stacks, nothing big or that I care about.
the "big guy" is awesome, he has a beard but i'm going to modify it to look like a gaggle of wires pouring from the skulls mouth
the hunged over servitors are equally awesome, im not sure what they will count as, but they are sweet.
I'm not sure what the servitor with keyboard guitar will count as either, probably just a standard bearer or some sort.

I look forward to the GK stuff then, I suppose you're right about the sizing issue. As i'm running SM I find they fit perfectly on to the upper doors on the rhinos or on the rear ramps. How about for your Chimera transports though the should fit across the back top doors surely?

I agree- replace the main cannon for a troop-holding area, with maybe metal rungs/ladders going off either side, similar to the mumaks from LOTR, but obviosly with a giant mechanical spider and ramps, not a giant elephant and ropes.

Not much progress, I finished the plasma turret for the plasma stalker and based it, need to upgrade the armor on its front legs so it looks a little heavier duty (though it is significantly larger due to the 6 legs)

Well, I suppose it's up to me to be the dissenting voice, the one that makes sense...
I like the work so far on the stalk tank, but it still seems very choas defiler, notably with the red and silver scheme hearkening to khornate blokes, or any number of defilers in the same vein. But! Still a cool concept, and my feelings on the ST-500 should change once you add the very Mechanical and very Loyal armament to it.

it does look substantially less defiler-y with the turret and side sponson "legs" attached, but yeah, if you are familiar with the defiler shape there's nothing I can do about that, I'm not that good of a modeler by any stretch of the imagination.

the forgeworld leman turret does look fine, just the plasma front end makes it a little oversized for the body. It looks a /way/ too large from the camera angle since I wanted to show the painting on the hatch and such I /did/ want the dimensions of it to be a little "off"

Lord Kaesar II wrote:STC Recovery Vehicle you say... I am certainly going to have to keep my eye on that. When I say the frame, I initially wondered "Ordinatus crawler maybe?" But saw the headline. Still very cool idea, I'll admit. But now the pressure will be on- build a titan weapon crawler (whatever its name is again...)!
the plan is to make a giant, 4 sponson land raider with lobster like mandibles made from defiler claws to "feed" the assault ramp
I'm using many parts from machinator on these forums http://stores.ebay.com/Blood-and-Skulls-Industry/
Quality is awesome and he was very helpful answering questions!

More photos, note extra hatches are there to hold the LR section in place while glue dried
Also, Mechanicus Paladins and Driago WIP
I'm going with regal purple metallic as the base, which when I finish will be completed with a few coats of baal red.
Yes that is the standard bearer choke slamming a thousand sons marine!

short update, for incoming madness
8 defilers unsprued and preparing to become stalk tanks
nearly 100 recast techmarines and realscale marines to replace grey knights
(might have the old grey knights for sale when this is done )
once talks are done all remaining parts go into the STC vehicle

I'm planning a Mechanicus army as well. A lot like this except my mind goes slightly insane at the idea of an army that could be fielding prototypes, exclusives, etc. etc.
I'll probably never get a legal army today just a ridiculous (but rather cool) mish-mash.
Anyway, I'll keep an eye on this.

Dude this stuff is great, i am really suprised that ive missed it so far! I also got the ramshackle guys for my ad mech, in fact its amazing how many similaries there are between our armies, except yours is actually an army whilst mine is about 7 models because i get distracted too easily, link is in my sig if you wana see some more ad mech stuff. im subbed here tho, great inspiration.

Thanks buddy
You're stuff is so sparse because it is straight up better modeled and painted than mine
Wish I could greenstuff or shade like you! XD

Lol your too kind, but no amount of flattery makes 7 or so models count as an 'army' =p and really, the shading is just practice and lots of layers. =]
Anyway, looking forwards to more here =]

Spent about 3 hours edge highlighting
Then did some airbrushing on the knight titan, camera makes it look harsher than it is in reality.
Looking to get my airbrush to spray a tighter grouping so I can detail the arms and legs

That osl is looking really good man, and the airbrushing on the knight is looking very effective, you managed to get it focused enough for the arms and legs yet?
