Hi everyone, since i just super glued my fingers together it got me thinking. What is the worst injury YOU have sustained with anything related to warhammer? This can be stepping on a model, bumping your head against ur desk, cutting your finger with the saw, or ever super gluing ur fingers together *cough*...

*Disclaimer* This is both true and somewhat heebie-jeebie inducing for those who visualize things well.
A friend was visiting while I worked on building some figs. We were chatting about nothing (always dangerous to have your attention diverted). At one point I noticed my exacto start to roll toward the table edge. I think I had both hands very occupied gluing pieces. It was one of those you-watch-it-all-happen-in-slow-motion moments. It rolled off the table, I tried to move my bare legs, it falls point down and sticks into the side of my ankle (on the inside just above the bone bump). The worst part? Rather than continuing on to the floor, the knife simply fell over, still stuck into my leg. So now it was hanging over, skikn folded in a gruesome fashion with blood trickling down my foot. My friend, the former military policeman and all-around tough guy, slumps over in an attempt not to pass out from watching. The funky part was trying to figure out how to remove the knife without doing further damage.

Worst I've had was when I was trimming a model with my exacto knife - wasn't paying attention, the blade was kind of dull, and I was using more force than necessary...
Basically, the knife slipped, went halfway into my pinky, and fell to the floor (thankfully it missed my legs - my feet were raised up since I was sitting on a stool). Went to ER, had to get stitches and I no longer have much feeling in that finger.
Oh, and I did once (don't ask me how I managed this) manage to stab myself in the thigh with my knife. ...even I don't know how I did that one.

Was using a pocketknife when I first got my pieces to work on some Dreadnoughts. See, at college, I didn't have power tools. So how do you think I cut into them to fit the magnets? Knife. And using magnets from legos was, of course, fun as hell.
Anywho, got through one dreadnought and moved onto the second. Partway through, knife folded. Onto my finger. Blood Was everywhere, so I wrapped it up and cleaned up, freaking out a bit. Didn't really panic till I looked at it and saw how deep it was. Rode down to the nearby clinic on my bike with about 10 paper towels masking taped onto it. Closed.
Went back to my room and waited with friend deciding what to do. Even called future (now current) girlfriend for advice. Needless to say I got mocked for toy soldiers, then it started bleeding anew, so me and friend went to hospital. Six hours there, because the doctors saw I cut so deep that I might've hit a nerve or tendon. I DID nick a tendon. That and I bled continuously for those 6 hours, it alternating between dribbles and outpouring. Eventually they stitiched it up with 2 stitches IN my finger and 4 on the surface.
Even now, 6 months later, I still can't bend that finger all the way and I have a wicked scar.
I use power tools now. A Drill is my best friend, EVER.

Not warhammer, but miniature related... when I was a kid I was shaving flash off some army men, and put the blade of an exacto all the way into the meat of my left hand, between the thumb and the other fingers. I was so freaked out I just wrapped a towel around it, never told my dad, and after a day or two it stopped bleeding. Plus side was that's how I learned left from right... left side is the one with the scar on it.

I know a guy works for GW. Basically he was on his own building some minatures out of a Black Box using superglue, when all of a sudden the model slips and lands on the floor. No problem, he bends down to pick it up lying his face against the table in order to do so. Unbeknownst to him, the table had actually been covered in superglue due to the bottle falling over whilst he worked.
He ended up face superglued to table, back to the shop door which was open and nowhere near a phone. He had to throw the keys to a regular who came in (30mins later) to lock up the shop and call an ambulance to un-stick his face from the table. Took about 2.5 hrs if I remember correctly...
Oh, and about £700 worth of box sets also miraculously dissapeared whilst he was stuck there.
Suffice to say he doesn't work for GW anymore...

I cut my thumb a lot while trimming off the excess on my models. One time i sliced about a centimetre down the side of my thumb right next to the nail. I was using a fairly dull Stanley knife so it was my own fault. It wasn't bleeding badly at all but hurt like a . I still had most of a squad to finish off, so I reached for the super glue bottle that was in a handy spot and glued the flap of my thumb back down. About 10 minutes later it happened again. only this time it was an almost perfectly perpendicular cut from the first. So now I have a chunk of thumb flesh holding on to where I had glued it back down originally. So again I glued it down and bit back the pain. Wrapped it up in a couple layer thick coating of Band-Aids and finished off trimming. My mum saw my thumb wrapped up later that day and quite rightly gave me an ear full for being such an idiot. Now I only use sharp blades.

Normally, I threaten my friends with death if they take me to the hospital. One of my friend's girlfriend (the only one I could get ahold of) was terrified when I told her I cut myself and couldn't get it to stop bleeding. She was most terrified by the fact that I was completely calm about it. The two of them picked me up and kept me company in the hospital while I waited to be seen, right behind all of the people who looked like the worst injury they had were toothache/stomaches. There was one guy there who had very clearly broken his leg. They told me that they'd give me hell for it if I got any less than 5 stitches, because I hate hospitals so much. I got 6.
A week later I was diagnosed with H1N1. Those breathing mask dispensers apparently aren't just for show :(

The worst I have sustained (I don't count all the times I slice myself with an exacto...) was with and orbital dremmel saw. I was cutting a pewter figure, which it cuts like butter being a 30,000 rpm saw that is wafer thin with a serrated edge, and as the figure was heating up it bound and proceeded to run. Well my thumb was in the way.... and it cuts flesh even better than metal! I cut my thumb from tip to cuticle down to the bone. It took it 20 sec to figure out it even wanted to bleed. And after pouring a little hydrogen peroxide on it I proceeded to pass about for 5 sec. That has been the worst I have managed to injure myself so far with "hobby" tools.

Coz im knife happay, I was using a GW hobby knife (exacto?) to cut open a land raider box from ebay.
Because of wrist problems from playing my PC on a bad table, I found it hard to cut the box, which was covered in sticky tape. I held one side of the box with my left hand, and cut along the edge facing me with my right. The cardboard was slowly cutting, then the knife slipped into the crack where the box opens, sliced through the sticky tape and went point-first into the webbing between my left thumb and index finger...
Didnt hurt so much but bled like hell. bandaids dont work well in those areas....

I cut through my thumbs so many times that I have a thick layer of skin on each of them now.
I always get surprised when I change my blades for new ones as those are the only ones that manage to get through.
When I was younger and before I grew thicker skin I used to actually put superglue on my thumbs. Don't touch anything and let it harden and it would actually help protect. It took a few days to shed it away however so that ended up being annoying a few times.

Spent the next few minutes trying not to pass out (as I usually do when faced with grossness or Passion of the Christ ) and farting whilst a friend phoned for an ambulance as he couldn't drive and I obviously couldn't walk.
A special paramedic came out, as it was Friday night and they didn't want me stuck in A&E, and was chuffed as hell because he got to stitch such an unusual place It felt like my palm was made of leather when he was stitching it.
Whilst it healed I could feel the cut move everytime I moved my hand, which is creapy as hell!

I stabbed myself in the hand with a modeling knife while trying to convert my sm landraider into a bw.
the blade of the knife came of and stukk into the bone of my left hand. knowing that I should not pull out the blade (everyone in my family is in the medical field but me) I take it out. blood was pooring out of the cut. I finally got it to stop bleeding by holding my hand above my head for about an hour.
that really sucked

About the drop of glue in the boxers, I can really imagine a worse situation (I didn't laughed, don't worry, I just woke up from a nap and my laughing hability hasn't come back yet).
And this talk about hemorroids, I know people wants to emulate the Emperor, but the White Throne isn't for that.

My friend was contemplating the mysteries of zap-a-gap (an instant glue hardener spray), so he decided to pour glue in his hand and then spray it with zap. Apparently he didn't know that the glue heats up. He had a nasty chemical burn for ~2 weeks and can't feel anything in the palm of his hand now.
What an idiot lol, he was yelling ARRRGGHH the whole time but didn't want to spill the glue on our LGS floor, so he just took the pain.

Friend of mine cut the webbing in his thumb accidently after slipping a cut trying to orkify a falcon grav tank, lucky I was there and superglued the cut (after he almost passed out from artirial blood loss) then took him to the clinic to get a transfusion.
They put him in observation for 2.5 days and then sent him home.

I have a nice large scar on the back of my left hand from a hobbyknife. I had dropped a chimera wheel (from the old kit) reached down without looking and sliced the back of my left hand with a rusty hobby knife. It was slightly sticking out from a lower shelf and I hadn't realized it was there.
The scar runs from my pinky knuckle to the rightside of my wrist.

Heh, go to the emergency room with an open cut, and they'll just use superglue on it xD Faster than getting a surgeon there to stich it if it isn't that deep.

Not really sure if it's directly related, but my mate and I were painting at my place, and I accidentally knocked my pink paint pot off the table, spilling it all over the floor. So yeah, it wasn't directly from a miniature, but cause and effect, all that stuff...

I had to hop to the bathroom while not getting any blood on the carpets.

Yeeesh, so many accidents with plyers and knives. The worst I've ever done was when my first bottle of modeling glue spilt all over my index finger, I then proceded to flip out and move my hand away only to knock over the "quicker drying" spray which got the liquid on the mess leaving me with a burning cast of glue on my finger for ten minutes as I tried to scratch it off into the sink . Besides that my little brother got the spray in his eye and it left it irritated for a few minutes.

Sounds almost cartoon-ish, with that chain reaction.
Not an injury, except to my friend's pride -
I was at his house, and we were painting. This is at about 11am. When we had finished a boxed set of Lord of the Rings Orcs, we searched for a place to dry. He decided on the place outside where his brother usually parked his car. His brother was in Sydney for the day, and would get back late that night. My friend said, "We'll go inside, watch the Matrix trilogy, then come back and get them before my brother gets home. I replied with these fateful words - "What's the bet we forget them?"
24 hours later, his brother had arrived and left again, and, when we walked outside to play soccer, he wound up with a snapped spear in his big toe, and we found pieces of orc all over the place. We only salvaged 11 in good condition.

I'm not even sure what I was cutting, but about a month ago I sliced my finger (middle finger?) from the first joint all the way to the front of the tip. About 1" long and probably 1/4" deep. Thank the Emperor it was a brand new blade so I didn't feel a thing. Went to the sink, rinsed it out with Hydrogen Peroxide, pushed the flap of skin back down and then stuck on a pair of big band aids. Switched to liquid bandage after it stopped bleeding like a faucet and now have a nice scar that hurts when I grip things the wrong way. The funniest part was that all my life I've been certain I was left handed. But with my right hand basically out of commission life was ridiculously more difficult than I'd ever anticipated.
Lesson learned. No more cutting with Exacto when the Dremel and a clamp are probably a better choice.

At the beginning of this summer I was using a needle file on a model and subsequently set it down in my lap for another tool. Forgot about it when I got up and it bounced to the floor as I was stepping away from my desk. Somehow I managed to step on its point with the ball of my bare foot, tripping me. It happened so suddenly I didn't realize the extent of the damage. I found what had tripped me; the now broken file. Hobbled to work the next morning only to find the pain increase. Could it be there was a piece of file in my foot? There was no blood but it started to throb like mad. So after getting home I placed a powerful magnet against the sole of my foot...sure enough, it stuck!
So a trip to the emergency room later the doctor on hand had great difficulty extracting a 1/2" tip that was lodged 2cm deep in my foot. I'm still limping 2 1/2 months later. The joys of modeling!

Was putting some Landspeeders together a couple of months ago, and after assembling the flying base I must have knocked it off my desk. Not noticing it, I left the room and when I came back in (barefoot of course), I managed to step down on it and drive the stick through my heel about 3/4 of an inch. Suffice it to say I was not happy, not only did it hurt like hell, and leave a hole in my heel, but I broke another flying base. I do have to thank evolution for that thick padding on the human heel, it didn't penetrate deep enough to do any major damage, and bled very little.
