You completely misread this. I disagree with all of it which was my point throughout, however case just as frivolous or ridiculous get mega compensation. For this reason her 'claim' is not in itself stupid just immoral. Her error is just the manner claim, handled better it could have worked. Authorities have paid out large sums for equally trivial reasons in the past.

The headmaster of my old primary school picked me up by the hair when I was a kid. When I told my da, he went in and gave him a bollocking, and that was that. No cash, no lawsuit. Because what, I was in mental anguish over it? spank. I was fine, once he put me down and I got over the fright. I was probably annoying him with my precocious manner and slow, fiddly movements.
