So I'm trying to make a list around the Parasite of Mortrex. I want the rippers that come out to be all specialty conversions, and I need ideas.
Bluetable had a great video on this, but I want more.
The idea is to make a group of rippers so distracting that the opponent chooses to attack them because he knows that what I spent a lot of time on.
Instead of the other models. So the more offensive you can make the suggestions, I'd love to hear them.
My current conversion is 3 rippers holding up a fourth wearing a salamander cloak, with a shoulder pad as a hat with a jaunty purity seal.

The original idea had me making rippers that also served as objective markers.

Space hulk rippers is the best one yet, but thats gonna be rough with little guys. I'm definately going to do that though.
I want to do rippers in go karts too for fast attack rippers.
I was messing around with reducing a tyranid devourer gun into smaller bits. Theres actually a little shoe, perfect size for a ripper on there. Its the ... I guess butt of the gun? Theres a little shoe on there. Looks a little cloggy, so maybe alpine rippers?

The title of the thread may be misleading. I'd like "offensive" over "comedy". I want them to incite muttered comments of "cheeky little bastards!". The space marine helmet drum is a prime example of this. The terminator rippers is another good idea, because of the time involved with making them. It will be readily apparent that I spent longer on the rippers than any other part of the army, and tactically, I could care less about them.
But I want my opponent to think they're something special that has to die.
Actually, one of my mycetic spores has a three part "mouth", with a genestealer Paul riding it with a greenstuff desert suit. Adding a few more spice eyed rippers to the base is a workable thing.
I'm hesitant to have hair of any kind on these rippers. Afros, beards, etc, I'm passing on as ideas. I'm extremely curious as to how to make platform shoes with fish inside for rippers, druff.

I like that one. I especially like the 60mm base. I'm using 40s and it seems... cramped. But yeah, great job on having him holding one and some dead ones. Really gives the feel of him just being completely swarmed.
Progress on Terminator Rippers coming along nicely. I've chosen Claudio, Scipio, and Gideon. Claudio has to be my favorite so far, I'm using the warrior ripper two hive guard impaler cannon end bits for the claws, and for the halo thing, I've glued a toxin sac to a spinefist guard. Lots of shaving down plastic with a razor. Scipio is the ravener ripper and I bent his c shape tail to look like hes ripping up the base, and punched a small hole through from the back to have a chunk of ripped plastic.
Gideons little ripper hammer GS sculpt will either be awesome or fail tremendously. I'm looking for a little dwarf hammer bit that might not be so risky.

As for the toilet?
Already done, son. Its the armless top half of nightbringer with a tide of rippers coming out of the toilet. I used the scarab swarm from the nightbringer base to glue the rippers to, and it gives it a nice wave effect. The muscled torso and hood of the nightbringer works well for a DA marine out of armor, takin' a dump. It even has a tube of TP with only one sheet left - he'd have been screwed either way. I'll post that one later when I find the camera again.
Also working on STrippers, to go with rip james. Daemonettes aren't cutting it. Hitler ripper sounds pretty good, maybe use some skaven for troops? Goebbels = gerbils? Maybe pushing the bounds of good taste.
Thanks for all the input guys! I'll keep working on these as ideas come in, and post more when I can.

Ripper aspect warriors is a good idea too. Most of these ideas are great. Its sad when I'm considering buying whole boxes of other models as throwaway parts to feed the rippers. Aspect warriors def worth it. And maybe use a few extra headdresses to make some bad ass chariot ripper drivers.

Why not go after the sacred cows of the Imperium; and have rippers devouring and/or wearing the empty bloody armor of a Sister of Battle?
You could have a mostly intact SoB corpse with a ripper coming out of the empty neck hole, possibly with other rippers holding the corpse up like a marionette. You could have them holding up the body in a less than dignified manner. Maybe a 4th ripper eating the decapitated SoB head? Owww . . . or have the ripper coming out of the neck hole eating the head.
EDIT: Of course the SoB miniatures are all metal, so you'd have to convert another figure, but I still like the idea.

Haha if one took the tunnle swarm upgrade one could almost get away with that for whole units.
One I dea I had was to glue the rippers into a patten only visable with a whole unit in specific deployment, like "BOO!" ^_^

I think the terminator sized template is the standard ripper base, actually. I'm gonna go ahead and do that though.
As long as I keep it next to the one that can't possibly fit any more on that same base size.
Maybe the same theory with a ripper on a biker long base. Just standing on one end, looking across a few inches of empty base, and insist that they "wait for it".

Thanks for all the support guys. I know some of my threads can get a little raunchy, but I think the ideas suggested here are all great.
Limited by bits though, so many of these are all just WIP rippers, as sad as that is. "What, you didn't have all the parts to assemble a ripper?"
True though. Ebay gets expensive when I'm just ordering bits to make conversions work.

The grot and ripper fight is actually a pretty complex piece. I chose the models and placement because they are meant to be rolled like a die in the event of a Ork/Tyranid tie.
I envisioned a sphere, and made parts of the models poses touch the outside of the sphere. The grots hands and legs tough the outside radius, as do the ripper's back and the goggles on its head. The effect is something like an old cartoon fight. Two characters locked in an eternal struggle, where if you position either one on top, it appears they are "winning". The ripper on top looks like he is choking the grot. Grot on top depicts a grot about to punch a ripper to death. The weighting on this "ball sculpture" is such that one side usually ends up on top, with minimal side rolling.
Once painted, the grot will have a shirt painted on, and the ripper carapace will be painted to match. As depicted on the Ork's base, it will look like the ripper is attempting to assassinate the grot and then assume its place.
I'm all proud papa over this one.
