Some chaos cultist instead of genestealers and I'm thinking about ultramarines colors for the terminator.

Lot of work before me.

Wow that is just...awesome. It has kind of a star wars feel with how he ripped through the wall.

Love the set up, chainsaw pillar especially.
Maybe a bit of gore?
Ultramarines would be good, or if its purely a diorama why not try a really obscure chapter?

cool but one thing.. terminators don't bust actually trough walls.. they have personal teleporters for that.. imagine he smashes against the wal and that wall is to thick.. al the renegades on the other side heared the bang and will mobilize.. and think of the face of the termie who failed to bust trough the wall XD but keep working on this thing.. I have great expectations..

Actually chainfists are specifically noted as being designed for cutting through ship bulkheads. I imagine that lightning claws and a bit of servo assisted grunt would acheive the same result. Autosenses obviously being able to tell the marine how thick the wall is and where the heretics are on the other side

Well, if a terminator realizes there are squichy cultists on the other side of the wall i could see him just ripping through. I like the ripped apart metal, and it looks like the wall got shot up as he came thru which makes the scene that much more awesome.

That certainly is alot of work left to do. I like the look of the diorama so far, the spacing between models, the poses, it look nice. What did you make the metallic wall out of behind the terminator?

They don't have personal teleporters; that's a myth originating from the DoW games.

They actually teleport from space and the ritual to do so takes a good amount of time.

If he had just beamed down, it could've been somewhere else on the hulk so he'd thus have to move "conventionally" to get to other areas.

It's not a door it's a broom cupboard.

The expectation is to come through doors, which makes them big targets and easy to hold defensively. Coming through the wall gives the assault team the advantage of surprise, hence the modern usage of breaching charges. Also its neat if you can bulldoze your own way throguh a wall

I love the bursting through the wall thing, and for once the ultramarine paint scheme looks awesome, with the lighter colours, and the brilliant weathering.

When every enemy has their weapon trained on the door coming through the wall is a brilliant move, and it looks way cooler on top of it. Maybe he could have just rung the doorbell and pretended to be the Avon Lady or the Girl Scouts selling cookies.

I will echo everyone else and say the painting on the Terminator to this point is very nice, particularly the weathering. Not sure I liked the body to the temrinators right side as form that angle it is not clear exactly what happened, looks more like he melted than was cut up by the Terminator.

Nice take on the Ultramarine scheme, it looks awesome! The whole diorama is coming along nicely, keep up the great work! I know if I had power claws I'd rip my way through the occasional wall, only when necessary of course...

I really like this, the space marines looks really good so far, and the diorama is built really well. I really like the sheet that the SM breakes through.

If its a diorama, i would maybe get a true scale termi, since termis tower over SM which tower over humans

shadows: graveyard earth GW

highlights: skull white GW

terminator torso needs 2nd shadow (graveyard + black) and more white on the edges

The heads look awesome , the stubble blends really well i doesn't look like it's just painted on.

Y'know what this is missing? some blood splatter on the wall and pillar. I think that would be a sweet addition to the piece.

Looking really good. It's coming along nicely, I said it before but I love the weathering and detailing. Can't wait for the finished product.

Call me a smartass perfectionist but on the 3rd picture (of the llst update) you can see a fail on the shoulderpad... on the white stripe there is a spot where the blue is too bright... see it?

I don't see any such mistake. The light hitting the model has something to do with it looking bright, but do not see any place where the paint is actually lighter than the rest of the model.

It's just on the tip of the stripe, the sort of weathered bit

Oh, man, you really need to add in some "how i did X, Y and Z" to the pictures... Pretty awesome weathering effects, and the diorama is pretty neat!

Would've perfeered some classic 'stealers, tho'!

I know it's a WIP... But I'm just helping the guy out.
(the mistake is on the stripe... The top weathering on the bottom corner of the 3rd pic)

Fail on shoulderpad - blue should be darker, but weathering will fix it

Rust is made with glazes of bestial brown, no magic trick, only lot of water. Bestial looks very good as rust on green or blue basecote.
