Ok,most of us who have ever spent anytime reading comics have at some point and time thought "Wow...She/He is pretty hot for a drawing"...C'mon,you know you have. So,which Comic book character(s) have you ever found yourself thinking bad thoughts about?

...Erm....on with the show.
My Aunt had loads of Starburst mags, and other horror related comics, mags when I was a younger lad (about 12-13) and one of comics she used to get was Vampirella.
It had a big impact on me, probably one of the first dark fantasy type things I read over at my Nan's house. (My Aunt on Mum's side is only ten years older than me, so was living at home.)
Possibly a reason I got into Vampire the Masquerade so readily.

Mine would have been Bat Girl, from the old BatMan series....god,did she send my little 7 year old heart a flutter.
Another from my "early years", I found myself identifying with Hellcat in my youth, seemed like no matter how hard she wanted to do the "right thing",she always made the "wrong choice".
I was all about Judge Anderson and Hershey for a long time. In fact, show me a woman in a leather or pvc jumpsuit with and oversized zipper and I'm like putty.

If we're talking about 6 or 7 - the asian chick (Gi?) from captain planet... episode with swimsuit basically started my hormonal excretion and development...
YGI - Mei was/is hot (the blonde one in the corset?)
I have to add Black Canary...even though I've always found the fact that her power is a "Super Scream" a bit amusing...from a completely "Male perspective."
@FITZZ - never really picked up many DC titles, although thanks to the medium of TV and the many DC based cartoons, I've learned to like several of the characters.
It would probably be Belldandy for me from the "Oh My Godess" manga not only because she's very hot but damn she's perfect too. Probably the kindest, most perfect, gentle, woman you would every meet, I guess that's why it's a manga cause such women don't exist, at least not in high quantities, plus she IS a Godess they have to be perfect lol:
Holy crap she is a hot Anime Character O.o
Hmm, who is my most favorite comic book character who is a female? Oh Yeah her
Anyway Samus Aran did have some Comic Books If I remember correctly.
Then Starfire of course, and Also Sakura from Street Fighter.
This thread is starting to make me sad. The absurd breast shapes and costume physics, the ridiculous mismatches betwee hip and bust size, make the artists of some of these things look like real idiots. Or would, if they weren't just pandering to kids and shut-ins who are unfamiliar with the actual human female body.
Not that that necessarily includes any or all of you, of course. I presume that all of you Dakkanauts actually are familiar with real women and find many of these images laughable.

Sometimes it's good to have ridiculous fantasy material. I find that the women I hook up with are typically not uber hot (though I've had a few notable exceptions ) because I focus more on if they know what they're doing and it's fun to imagine otherwise sometimes. Who doesn't love the cougars Put a gun to my head and ask me to choose between an average looking real girl or an over the top fake one and I think my choice is going to be pretty obvious.
Only starfire I have previously seen was the Teen Titan TV series with her in it. She is hot!
Yeah, I'd never heard of her before Teen titans (TV) and it was when I was looking into their back storys one day on Wiki that I found the comic book version of her.
@Mannahnin - of course, but I find art (comic characters and fantasy/Sci-fi stuff) attractive on its own merit. It's all pure fantasy to me, and I wouldn't expect or need any of what are in these drawings to be real.
i didn´t liked that line too as i think with it they ridiculed what? 30 years of comic history?
we all know it is not a clever idea to wear ones underwear over your tights but its waht these characters were born like. and i for my part loved those days when you could read a happy ending in each comic book. i like the grimer versions out now too, mind you but still...
and there are a fair share of awsome cosplayers to be seen here on the webs...
does someone around here like the orange and brown wolvie at all? i read my first comic of him with that dressup so it kind of stuck with me, tho the classic version in yellow and blue well classy is classy...

oh and oddly, I always had a thing for Tarot and Roulette, if I'm honest one of the biggest things I remember from comics and any mdeia in the early nineties was Fitzroy's attack on the Hellions.
Tarots final scene (well at that point and for a long while at least) was burned into my mind for ages. Totally shocked me.
Love that uniform as well, tried to use it as a SoB colour scheme once, was a poor attempt.
Now I'm more confidant, I'm thinking about using it for my Banshees, that or Morrigann's leggings.
I have a soft spot for cosplay girls. especially when they can pull off the super sexy costumes. and proof that if you have a great body anything can be sexy... even pikachu.

Guys, please be careful of what you post. Nudity is still nudity even in the presence of body paint. Keep in mind that we will suspend people for posting nude images or images that are otherwise inappropriate for a family-friendly site.
Other than that, good thread! My comic crush was Dark Phoenix Jean Grey. Gotta love the redheads.

Never got into the spandex crowd of comics. I flicked through one or two spiderman or superman comics as a child, but never got the attraction.
I laughted at the 'spandex' comment in Xmen. Watched it because of the actors in it and it looked cool. Couldn't have given a stuff if it crapped on '30 years' comics continuity. ANY fans who can't take a step back, look at their hobby and find the ludicrous in it and laugh, are probably in WAY TOO DEEP to be healthy.

It's not a matter of her being 'too thin,' it's just that her breasts don't seem to fit into a glorified magazine standard. Tiggy girl is twiggy. She's still incredibly attractive. As skinny as she is, she doesn't look particularly unhealthy.

Or just wanted to see a good looking woman in Spandex.
Although in all seriousness, X-men isn't some fly by night comic, its got thirty plus years of history behind it when the first movie came out.
You seriously telling me if Hollywood did a Space Marine film set in the 40K universe, but put the actors in normal army gear and then made a joke that 'what did you want us in, ceramic plate' you'd be good with it?

To be fair, aren't the powers of the Xmen more Iconic than their suits? And realistically, wouldn't you want the X-men in something that protects them a little more than Spandex?
To a degree, but in general if you ask most X-men fans, they'd combine the suit and the powers as the thing that sets each member apart.
I think if I think about it my problem was it wasn't so much the suit material, it was them all wearing the same colour.
Part of the message of X-men, is folks can still be individual and work as a team. I've always loved the fact, that the joining thing, the thing that makes you realise they are a team was the simple 'X' logo.
Otherwise each X-man could be their own hero, hardly any of them wear the same style costume.

I've heard enough nerd rage and nitpicking to power a thousand suns in my lifetime. And several of those 30 years of history were subpar writing that would later get "undone" because by that point the X-men could have any combination of any number of characters appear from out of nowhere due to "alternate reality time travel." The comics are a bit silly and hardly marketable straight up. By making Wolverine a guy in yellow spandex they would have further alienated anyone who may not have seen it. Any comic movies you see will try to keep the spirit of the character as opposed to verbatim because, honestly, comfortable isn't always good. It doesn't mean what they replace it with is better, but odds are the original wouldn't fare much better.

There will always be "alterations" made when a comic makes a leap to the "big screen",it's to be expected as the film makers are attempting to reach a broader audience than simply "fans of the book".
IMO,if a film stays "true to the spirit of the characters" as you said Cannerus, then I've no real complaints.
While Lynda Carter was indeed my Favorite incarnation of Wonder Woman, very few people are aware that she was not the first choice for the role,
Cathy Lee Crosby first played the amazing Amazon in the 1974 Movie.

Women in spandex or latex just don't do it for me - regardless of how hot they are.
Give me leather anyday.
That said, Famke Janssen would be fine in a wisp of cloud.
I doubt Hollywood COULD make a decent Space Marine movie - GW have proven that not even they could do it - and they make the game it's based on. The 'recruits' backtalking to the apothecary in the UM movie were bad enough. Given the Medieval monastic organisation of the SM and that they are supposed to honour and respect those who are older and with more experience.

Back on topic, as my previous She Hulk pic seemed like she was depressed, which is such a rarity for her, I found some better ones.
Mary Marvel was the Sister of Captain Marvel, and member of the "Marvel Family",very popular comic during the 40's,outselling even Superman.
Unfortunately,in 1951 Fawcett comics was sued by DC for "IP infringement",claiming Captain Marvel was "too much like Superman",and the Marvel Family was shelved until DC acquired the rights to use them in 1972.
Amusingly by that time,Marvel Comics had copyrighted the name "Captain Marvel" for one of their characters...and DC had to release the Marvel adventures under the title "Shazam!".

Ah thanks for the lesson there FITZZ, I did ponder on occasion how Marvel and DC both had a Capt Marvel, never thought to look it up.
Back to the thread, suddenly thought of another today, although some one already mentioned Jean Grey, this character wasn't exactly her.
Madelyne Pryor aka the Goblin Queen.
I did once upon a time have the original Uncanny X-men comics with the whole Demon Queen storyline and for some blasted reason got rid of them. Painful when I think about it, as it was a great storyline.
Yeah basically. She was originally made out to be a person who might have been Jean reincarnation, until it was revealled that Sinister had 'fathered' her, just before the whole Inferno storyline kicked off.
She's been about since then as well, but it's not exactly clear who she is. She was a great baddy for a while though.
Back to Characters, can't remmeber seeing her yet, and while reading one of my X-men comics today thought she had to be here.
She's pretty cool, her mind sorta works like a computer, in the sense she can store information (see's or hears) and access it at any time. She can also multitask at a mental speed no one else can manage as she is in effect doing each task at the same time.
She's been around for ages, early nineties, but she's only been a regular member of the X-men, then Excaliber, and Exiles in the last ten or so years.
I was a little, who? when she first turned up, as I'd missed her earlier stuff, but she is a interesting character.
Really hope the girl never suffers a crash, not sure how they'd reboot her.
edit - @DickBandit - I think so earlier on, she is a great character though, so extra pics don;t hurt.
I thought it looked pretty cool, and much better than the usual put up a pic of a character, along with a photo of the person you'd like to see playing her I've seen around this past week on various sites.
This thread has inspired me to go digging, and although I have barely half the comics I once owned, I still have a fair few, and I found some other faces that I felt needed to join this thread.
B.A.D Girls Inc, aka Black Mamba, Asp and Diamondback.
Although Diamondback was my fave.
Polaris, although I remembered her intially as Malice, within the Marauders
I really enjoyed her in X-factor, and she's been a great character in various things since then.
and also going to raise Sabra, she's pretty unique, as in I can't think of many other Israeli super heroes, none that will come to mind anyways. She's been in various comics over the years, and well worth a mention.
Sort of on/off topic, but Udon produces terrible "comics." >.< Look at the choreography between panels. Ryu is doing a jump kick then next panel he's on the ground throwing a guy. The dialogue too... yeesh. The art is random but can be good.

She had a special attack with the same input as Akuma's Raging Demon that took the opposing character behind a curtain and did over half their life in damage at one point
