Simple, what 40k weapon would you use?

I would love to use a dark lance/blaster or boltgun. Both go pewpew and things die.

Cyclonic Torpedo. Just because I could.

Power weapon, cause it would also probably look cool on a wall or something; and it doesn't have splash damage.

Well i was going to say a power weapon buttt i honestly think i would be a little scared to swing a sword around that would chop anything in half with little effort when i have no knowledge of sword fighting lol.


I can however shoot so I think i'll go with multi-melta ;D

A laspistol. It's small, light and has unlimited ammunition as long as you can set up a solar cell.

I'd replace my arms with twin-linked lascannons.

Singing Spear. Power Weapon that comes back like a boomerang when you throw it? Hell yeah!

Tactical Dreadnought armour (its a weapon.. its got incorporated assaultcannon and I'd have a thunder hammer!)

A simple chainsword, provided it's light enough I can wield it as I can a true blade.

Otherwise, a power sword.

While I love the Assault Cannon, I'm not dreadnaught enough to carry one. Blaster it is.

A lasgun, so I can annoy my friends by shooting them every now and then. And I will be able to see when its dark!

Plasma pistol.
Kickass contained in a gun.

I'd like C'tan blade please. It'll cut through anything including invunerable saves!

It'd be really useful in the garden against the ivy overgrowing everywhere... I'm sure it has a 3+ Inv or something so a simple power sword wouldn't help .

Though I play Chaos, I have to go with a Gauss Cannon on this one. Being able to destroy anything at range? Yes Please.

Nothing much heavier than a lasgun because I'm a puny mortal who wouldn't be able to use a gun the size of a Buick.

Thats why you then mount it on your Truck! . But if i were to choose any 40k weapon to own i would have to go with a Meltagun, who wouldnt like the idea of cutting through anything and anyone with the pull of a trigger? However for when the Zombie Apocolypse comes i think ill have to go with a power weapon since that will never run out of ammo!

I would like a Tau braodside. Well, I just want the railguns, but I need the suit to carry them.

A C'Tan blade is called a warscythe. And who on earth has an invul save? lol. Anyone with a pistol would shoot you before you could get close enough to use it.

Why are people picking missile launchers? Hard to carry! In that case I'll take a Stompa Dakka gun or Giga gun.

If you take anything bigger than a boltgun you prolly couldnt lift it.

Hotshot lasgun, styled like the Kasrkin and 50 extra ammo packs plus a departmento ministorium (or whatever it's called) approved charger.

I'm all set for anything I never have to clean it and it never runs out of ammo of course it would come with kasrkin armour too, obviously

My Garden has an invunerable save. Went through 7 clippers last year!

A warscythe is always a C'Tan blade but a C'Tan blade isn't always a warscythe . I'd like it in pocket knife form please

Power armour, as its a weapon in itself. Being able to crush the average man with you bear hands, with round that would shred modern tanks pattering off you like rain. I would like that. I would like that a lot.

Most people are taking missile launcher to attatch to a car/put on wheels/behind house ect.

However, as you asked for weapons it would have to be some kind of digital weapon. Easy to carry at all times and i assume no one would be able to find it as it would just look like a ring. Someone tries to mug you? Melt their face!

Harlequin's kiss. That'd be an interesting weapon, though no real way to reload it and I doubt it has that much "ammo" in it since it just uncoils wire. That'd be a mean weapon to use on someone though.

Well, seeing as a bolter would likely rip the arm I use to fire it off with sheer recoil and then promptly crush my face... I am going to vote Dark Eldar blaster here.

I would probably want a power weapon in the form of a scythe and then go around in a robe and be like booga boooga booga.

If we're able to get the weapons, can we assume we can get ammo for them? If so I'd like to chuck ranger long rifle onto my order.

My theory is, anything made by the Eldar should be light enough for me to carry/move with the triskele that covers short range and melee, while the flip belt will save my ass from anyone I don't want to get that close to, much the same with the holo-suit. And the long rifle added for good measure incase I can't get close to whoever's trying to kill me.

Nova cannon. When that solar system absolutely, positively, has to be destroyed overnight.

Some kind of angelus boltgun / glaive encarmine hybrid or failing that duel wield two powerfists that have stormbolters attached to the top and flamers built into the palm now that would be overkill right there.

Absolutely, the lasgun. It's sturdy, and reliable... and requires not a whole lot of training, nor any additional ammunition.

Plasma pistol. I could shoot people and play Russian roulette at the same time

Then I would take a Bolt Gun and a Las Gun. I think that the Las Gun would be cool to shoot and the semi infinite amount of ammo would be cool too. A bolt gun would also be awsome because its a gun that shoots 20mm rockets!! The downside of course would be the fact that ammo would be limited/expensive (were it buyable of course) and it would kick like a mule.

A thought just occured to me, why would a bolt gun have heavy recoil? I know that they are supposed to have a starter charge to get the round out of a rifled barrel but it can't be that heavy if its just meant to get it out the barrel, the rocket would be what builds up all the momentum right?

Because its starter charge needs it to be lethal enough to kill at point blank range (you don't honestly think that boltguns have a minimum effective range like most rockets? The gun's minimal explosive charge by itself wouldn't get through flak armor, which as its name suggests is designed to resist explosions). So you're basically firing a .75 caliber (19.5 mm) gun which has no recoil reducing features as its original design was meant for powered armor which didn't need the features.

Is tau pulse weaponry as safe as las weaponry? If so, I'd prefer a pulse rifle.

I'd like to attach a punisher cannon to the top of my car, get rid of traffic the easy way

Raw psychic power (that I can handle, of course) and\or my own Astronomican.

I would have either a lasgun or a laspistol for reasons mentioned above.

Well as much as I'd like to have a lascannon or plasma gun, they're not very practical, because I only have a 6+ armor save.

I'd probably take a pulse carbine. It's light, portable and I dont have to sacrifice mobility for power.

Plasma Pistol. So worth it!

Any flamer. A weapon so simplistic in its operation, Orks can fire it accurately. With this, accuracy is optional.

That or the Stalker Pattern Boltgun. From no aiming required to aiming as a necessity.

And if you can consider this choice, a Sentinel with any weapon that I probably wouldn't even use often. Just striding around in my walker is badass enough for me.

Cause nothing says I Win than a Plasma Annihilator.

IRL Lasgun + Laspistol as said easy to recharge and a Blaster/Dark lance for heavy vehicles (depending how heavy the dark lance is, or both)

Master-Crafted Inferno Pistol for me and a Master Crafted Power Sword.

War scythe w/ gauss blaster... ain't nothing stopping it It would also make a convenient can opener!
