[youtube] Brought these up in a DCM thread, in between plotting world-domination via army of cyborg squirrels, and it turned out no one had seen them, so I thought we should share!
http://bitspudlo.com/en/products/4690-las-plasma-platform#
LasPlas, 2X AC, Las, HB and Multimelta options
Some kinda unique and sweet Twolves too, look a bit 'fluffier' to me now after reading Prospero Burns, a little werewolfy. Not a big earth wolf, which I find kind of cool to have the option of. (Although there are some great wolf-wolf models out there too!) I'm sure these won't be for everyone, but I have a feeling about half will really like them!
Added after original post, noticed they had saddle and legs too!

Turrets are great options over Kitbashing the Las / Plas. Thanks for the find.
P.S. It erks me a little bit that all 3 pictures of the Las / Plas turret are in the exact same angle and side. I'm assuming its a twin linked plas but no way to tell for sure.

Isn't Scribor polish as well? They seem to like sculpting there! Those are by far my fave thunderwolves, very 40k, or in some respects like some of the best creature designs from star wars.

....nice find on the turrets though! $11 much less than you can get those for on bits websites. I'd be wary of buying anything from poland though, I've bought things from maximini that took so long to get to me I'd forgot I had even ordered them.

Good find on the LasPlas Razorback turrets. What's the cost on them?
I'm actually a big fan of those T-Wolfs. I've thought that most of the T-Wolfs produced both by GW and other companies have made them look too Terran, too normal, too weedy. Whereas the fluff makes them out to be alien monsters. I dig it. They look seriously vicious.

I'm pretty shocked people don't like those wolves. Best Sci-Fi/beast like wolf I've seen a 3rd party do so far. Would look pretty good on the table (Even though it's Space Wolves riding other failed Space Wolves into battle). Yeah, I said it SW players, deal with it.

Personally can't stand the wolves. They don't look lupine at all. A wolf is a stalker, a hunter. They should look fierce yet graceful.
This is what the model looks more like to me:

just add fangs & a bushy tail.

I'm not a fan of the "wolves" either. As noted, they just don't look like wolves.
That being said, they do look like pretty fierce non-lupine alien monsters, so they may feel more realistic and cooler to some tastes.
Like the turrets/gun platforms quite a bit.

All things considered they are called Thunderwolf Cavalry, and at that size stealth can't exactly be taken into the equation. I prefer this bulky variety to the myriad of not-quite-right oversized wolf models, it fits more with the current Canis model than attempting to trim down the muscle.
In additona, trying to wrangle one of those suckers as a SW would earn you a lot more respect than most other smaller TC options out there.

You can never go back. I remember watching that when I was young and thinking "cool beasts". Then I watched it with the kids...and my daughter said "Look you can see the make up backpacks slipping off those dogs.....hahahaha."
I guess CGI has gotten a bit better as I've aged. Maybe one day her kids will watch Avatar and laugh.

the guns are nicely detailed, but I think the profile is too big once you put them on the vehicle tbh...
As for the wolves: It is stupid idea for a unit to begin with which is why a lot of the wolves out there look horrid. What i do like about these ones is that they don't just look like an earth wolf shot with a gigantor ray, but rather they could perhaps actually be an alien creature that was named such.
What is gonna be amusing/sad is when the next SW codex comes about and GW drops this unit from the SW army list (you know they will, especially because too many other companies are making cash off of the idea) and enrage all those who dropped serious cash on now useless models (though I guess you could get away with "counts as" bikers)...

Hello everyone
This is my first post here, I hope I'm not violating any rules.
Anyway I'm one of two owners of bitspudlo.com / bitsbox.eu and noticed today quite a lot of referrals from this page. Now I know why, thanks MajorTom11!
We took down the photos of turrets fitted on rhino (which make it razorback) to not piss off our favourite company's lawyers. I hope you understand, maybe some satisfied customers will show how everything looks together painted -- we, as the manufacturer, shouldn't, as it would be using GW's IP to promote our own product.
And yes, the wolves are beefy and controversial, but that's what they were supposed to be like -- stirr emotions, not be yet another "meh" wolves. I love the tasmanian devil association
As for shipping from Poland: it probably took a lot of time for MaxMini to ship ordered products as they were (we're friends since years and neighbors) struggling with increasing production capabilities to match the interest they got. Now they're doing very well, having a stock of their products ready to ship on the day of placing order.
Anyway it seems we're going through the same phase, having a backlog of orders and looking for another employee to increase production capabilities. That's the problem every business dreams of, so I'm not complaining Just please bear in mind that currently it might take up to 10 business days before order placed at our store gets shipped.

Good to hear from you, sir. I just ordered from you this evening. I note the backlog you're having, do you have any idea how long the actual journey from PL to the USA should take? Adepticon is only 70 days away after all.

It's better to be honest about possible delays (we've amended our email templates as well yesterday) upfront than deal with angry customers. Plus we're working on resolving it, so it shouldn't be an issue in ~2 weeks.
@Valhallan42nd: we're shipping overseas via air mail of course, all the orders sent to US up to date took at most one week (5 business days) before reaching the customer. So if you placed your order today it should not only reach you before Adepticon but also give you enough time for painting

Too high and large for me. Nothing to do with the guns, just for me, the entire top, turret and vent both, need to be mashed down flat. The whole problem with that mini for me is 2 things, it is to high, and the back needs filling out. (seem my gallery in 'suggestions' for my photoshopped concept for a StormRaven)
That being said, if those things don't bother you, I think the turrets, particularly the AC ones, could look sick on it with a few adjustments! Automatically Appended Next Post: Ps, I made a big order with Tomash, so I will post pics when they arrive!

That's something we haven't heard of, but now that you ask...
Oh, and for the people wondering: the turrets are so much multipart they're a very pleasant material for some unthought-of conversions. Both cannons are separate parts, there's a small part connecting them (sometime's there's also one more part, like fuel tanks for flamer). Also separate parts: flat base and I-don't-know-how-to-name-it connecting the base with cannons itself.
As soon as StormRaven is released (can't wait, DH/Grey Knights are my second 40k army) I'll try fitting some of our cannons to it
33661
Post by: Mad4Minis
Turrets are awfully tall. Makes me wonder...if there is some sort of sighting device on the turret...how hard could you push the LOS rules...weapon up to fire, hull below cover.
Should only be able to hit & damage the weapons...
Look at the modern Apache Longbow helicopter for example. It only needs to have the sighting/sensor pod above cover to fire.

With such amount of orders our processing is Slow & Purposeful -- we're not going to compromise the quality of the casts (no fragging way).
But they will be shipped, don't worry. On friday we'll ship orders placed up to (and including) 21st january. The next week might (hopefully) see us doubling our production speed (new place, second employee), so that we'll finally be producing and shipping 2-3 days after placing an order.

Very nice models you've got there, Tomash! I'm hoping to put in an order for a few turrets soon for Stormraven and/or razorback use. Out of curiosity, would they fit in the weapon recess on the front of a land raider?
38682
Post by: Tomash
You mean the place where assault cannon goes in the LRC?
No, they're too wide -- you'd have to somehow glue them one-to-the-other, without the part that separares them and places on the flat platform.
But hey, pretty good point, we might think about some different separator for people wanting to place them on Land Raiders

I hope next week will see us finally doubling our production speed.
And because we got such a warm reception here on DakkaDakka, here's some exclusive preview of the upcoming stuff (should become part of our offer within next two weeks).
First, Small Wolves (yeah, SW players are spoiled) -- 5 different poses (one cyber ). They look a bit monkey-ish, but that was the point: they're beasts, not your neighbors puppies
And Dragon Heads -- 5 different designs, packed 10 per blister. Salamander SM, CSM/Possesed, Mutants, Chaos Warriors -- I can think of many ways to use them already.

As for comparison or youtube videos: well, there are actually already two video reviews of our wolves:

Tomash it really is a shame that GW are so harsh on third party producers because it is clear just how much better their sales would be if they allowed/dealt with studios such as yourself.
Great work on the sculpts mate.

I disagree, GW is really nice & tolerant when it comes to other companies. They don't react to any third-party producers of stuff used to replace their original parts, even if it's (more or less) based on or inspired by GW artworks and/or descriptions. The only company they are after was Chapterhouse Studios (and it's the only story like that since at least 2003) and even that is not because they do compatible stuff, but because they use GW naming and miniatures on the photos (which is frowned upon in every industry).
Or, to put it into perspective: compare that to aggressive IP (trademarks, designs, artworks etc.) lawyers of Disney or Lucas. Games Workshop is actually a pretty friendly company.

The turrets are cool. Standard looking guns that are not over the top or underwhelming.
The TW, I'm torn on. While I like the idea of TW, I just can't help but feel like they are trying to fit a lot in to a small area. The cramming of big and scary but strong enough to carry a SM on to a base that doesn't seem appropriately sized kind of turns me off from wanting them...This goes for GW's TW models as well.

I find it interesting that you have a very positive view of them, I mostly hear negativity in relation to there interactions but as you have said that is generally in response to chapterhouse. Well mien finally came in and I have to say it was well worth the wait. Great casting, fits perfectly. Couldn't ask for much more. Also to you plan on selling to in states retailers like other third party bit sellers have? I see your products on: http://thewargamerslounge.com/ but they don't have the full line.

Mine came today. Same day as some bits from another Polish company so I'd assumed they were shipped appropriately fast. Nice casts, fit together well. I'm going to guess that the double las cannons are slightly larger than GW's would be, but I think they'll fit in just fine (and since I don't have a pair of GW's razorback las cannons it's just a guess).
100% satisfied here...

Post by: Valhallan42nd
I also want to put in a word about the castings.
Casting 5/5
The bubbles were minimal (limited to one underneath the Las/plas, in a place you'd never see). Each piece was well fitted, and the las/plas held together via dry-fitting.
Details 4/5
The pieces, while not simple, are not full of the little fiddlies one expects from a GW piece. They are detailed, but the details they have are not intricate. I'd say you'd begin to notice the difference from two feet away, which most players wouldn't even care about.

Hello.
I am the one responsible for casting Bitspudlo bits.
And unfortunately for backlog, and I am terribly sorry for that :( - one person is not enough for this kind of job (especially when this person is making new things, like Flak Cannon).
Some people asked a few pages earlier how will guns fit to Storm Raven.
It needs some cutting and filing (and this round thing from Razorback/Land Raider), and it looks like this:

I'm loving your work, matus, but please organize your website. For example, the turrets that are in this thread should be under "space marine" even if you have your clever naming system. That's a good idea though-don't be surprised if other companies start selling "thermic guns"

I just want to again emphasize that in general, when there have been threads regarding Forge World/Armorcast/etc - people don't mind backlogs, per se. They mind unannounced backlogs. If there is a disclaimer someone on the site (as there was when I did my order, and as Zuzzy does), the general consensus seems to be most gamers don't mind even very long waits.

That's just amazing! I mean, what are the chances? Also, sorry, somehow missed the pic of the turret on the Rhino. I also think the "heavy cannon" is much better looking than the heavy bolters. Somehow the longer barrell makes it look better.

So if I'm looking at the gatling cannons correctly, they're somewhere in between the size of an assault cannon and a punisher cannon, or are they closer to the punisher cannon? Is there anyway that someone can post a pic comparing the three???
Also, a pic comparing the heavy cannon and a heavy bolter would be cool. I think they're the same size, but can't really tell.

Post by: MajorTom11
Way, way bigger than an assault cannon, I would guess it is more punisher sized, but with a smaller radius on the barrels.

Like I wrote before, this isn't the big re-launch yet, but you folks here at DakkaDakka deserve some special treatment, so it's time to let out a part of the stock we've been building up recently. The amounts aren't huge (10 pcs each), but should satisfy your hunger for at least a while.
Two new things, already discussed and shown in this topic, deserve mentioning:
Flak Cannon Platform
Tank Dozer Blade
Soon to be released:
- small wolves (already previewed here)
- dragon-style heads (like above)
- old-school (as in: sexy, alluring and demonic) daemonettes/succubi

Besides that, let me apologize for not getting around to showing pics of the Dozer blades... That being said, it would have been an unpainted mini, when whoever did that yellow beauty obviously did you a greater service than I would have!
Now, to make up for it, I will post pics of your Assault Cannons mounted on the wing pods of my MajorTom Pattern StormRaven later tonight Automatically Appended Next Post: As promised, Bitspudlo Assault Cannons on a SR, love the size!

What he said.
Thunderwolves are not earth wolves, not even close. It's best to just treat the word "wolf" as a coincidence, much like Greek has a word that sounds exactly like "idea" but means "ludicrous nonsense". Hmm, well, perhaps that is a bad example, because the whole idea of wolf-riding space marines is pretty much ludicrous nonsense.

Is there a preview of these daemonettes???

Let me introduce myself as the other part of the Bitsbox. I finally got my account here so I will be able to suplement any information Tomash will miss.
Lets start with this question
glon52 wrote:I would love to see a picture of the quad flak guns on a Dread. Will the female snugly fit with the male of the dread?
As the different dreds have different 'size' of the male part the holes are made in a way to fit smallest of them. In the same time it can be very easily drilled for bigger ones. In fact you can widden this hole with pointy hobby knife.
For those of you interested in small wolves we have first batch available. They are packed two in set. We are planning to add two more version ( one of them cyber ) in couple of weeks.

Their homepage is here.

I was thinking about adding some power cables to make it more SF.
The new layout of the website is generic. We wanted to start with the functionalities and then pimp the looks of it.

Me too
This is a generic default Spree layout. I don't know if I'll port the old one (should do the trick for at least some time) or look for something completely new. But I agree that this default, while clean, is dull and without character.
As for the broken links: they'll be working soon, at least the most important ones (old links to categories and products).

Thanks for the response. I think power cables could be a nice touch. Also maybe some cybernetic additions like cybernetic optical implants or even one or two with a mechanical jaw. Make it look more like the skulls were adapted into helmets. But as they are now they are perfect for regular fantasy or demon pieces.

It is implemented, I just haven't placed the links on the layout yet:
http://bitspudlo.com/currency/EUR -- Euro
http://bitspudlo.com/currency/USD -- US Dollar

Hey guys - found a pretty severe bug with the currency converter while I was placing an order.
If you follow the linik for the USD converter and process with PayPal it will process the $ dollar total as Polish Zloty. For example, my balance was around 60$ US in the cart but when processed the PayPal charge was around $22.
I just went back and used the Zloty link and everything processed correctly. Thought you might want to get that one fixed to avoid any billing issues!

I wouldn't open-source it if it could affect our security in any way.
I don't know anything about code, but this makes me uncomfortable as hell. Why would you put your code up for anyone to see. You have my paypal number for crying out loud.
It doesn't work like that.
1. Code and security: security by obscurity (i.e. based upon lack of knowledge how something works) is a bad and loathed upon security model. A good security model is the one when even knowing the algorithms and how it works it doesn't mean you can break it.
2. There's no such thing like "PayPal number", it's not a credit card (and even if you pay using credit card on PayPal site, it's kept by PayPal -- we don't even get a chance to see it). You have to authorize yourself every single transaction, so I can't charge you a single penny you haven't clicked yourself.
3. The code of our website is basically a stock Spree (spreecommerce.com) engine, which is already open-source.
4. The code doesn't contain any passwords, certificates (assymetric keys used for encrypting data exchanged with PayPal) not other sensitive data. Actually the open-sourced code doesn't contain any data.
5. Just ask your friendly programmer or sysadmin.
TL;DR keep calm

1. First we want to release female daemons and then we will move to CML. Mid June is quite possible but the priority is to restock all the current products.
2. I don't think Spree gives that possibility other than just mailing us with the question about it. If you are thinking about ordering anything in the future consider creating account.

cyrax777 wrote:Omg do want the daemons projected priceing?
We're still thinking about it and can't actually give a final price until we see how difficult they're to cast (which affects waste ratio).
But we're thinking along the lines of
15 Euro (~22$) for a 4-pack (one of each pose)
35 Euro (~51$) for a 10-pack (randomized, but at least 2 of each pose of course)
(or, if someone wants only one miniature with given pose, probably 4.5 Euro (~6.60$) for a single model)
I think such prices should be pretty attractive, especially considering the quality and alluring dangerous beauty of these demonettes
Oh, and we'll check if they're compatible with MaxMini daemonic wings (also available at our store).
