Mass Effect 3, Duke Nukem Forever, MVC3, Space Marine, DoW2 Retribution (if the make the Guard less broken). Skyrim(Kinda), Dragon Age 2.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Oh and Aliens Colonial Marines, but I'm convinced thats gonna be the next Duke Nukem Forever. Hmm original version was supposed to be released in 2001, Second Version in 2006...
I'll be nice and only start the counter from '06, 5 years indev.
Stuff needs to stop coming out... I'm not done with the bajillion games I purchased over the years... haha.
I finished Dead Space two days ago, so I partly agree with you there. I haven't even played Dragon Age (my brothers have a copy, so I could just borrow it), and now a sequel is coming already.
I'm surprised that no one mentioned Gears of War 3 yet. GoW 3, Mass Effect 3, Skyrim and Battlefield 3 are all games I would buy on the release day, but games like Crysis 2 will probably find their way into my collection as the price drops.
Terrible year for me, as in for the first time in an age I actually have too many blinkin games I want this year.
Marvel V's Capcom 3
Lego Star Wars the Clone Wars
40K Space Marine
Dragon Age 2
Dynasty Warriors 7
Lego Pirates of the Carribbean
Sims 3 'summer - autumn' Expansion
Mass Effect 3
Possibly Skyrim, not 100%
Still a danged lot, and I'm sure there are some I am forgetting that may appear, like Saints Row 3.
Captain Shrike wrote:soooo........no one wants crysis 2....for shame.
I never played the first one, and even though I have consoles I'm a little turned off by the fact that they made two focused on the Console rather than the PC.
Skryim becuase of the pure and simple fact that i still play Oblivion on occasion, compared to ME1 & 2 which i havnt for a while, and i got Oblivion way b4 I even knew about ME1.
So yea the follow up to a game thats kept me playing for roughly 3 years(i think) deserves the top spot.
DOW 2 Retribution, Mass effect 3, Space Marine, Dragon Age 2, Homefront, Crysis 2, Red Faction: Armageddon, Rage, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, Skyrim, Prototype 2, Battlefield 3, Killzone 3, Brink, Infamous 2, Uncharted 3 and Resistance 3.
Now the real question is, how many of those games will i actually purchase.
Captain Shrike wrote:soooo........no one wants crysis 2....for shame.
I tried to play the demo.
took like, 10 minutes to get in a lobby, then BAM! sent back to main menu.
Deleted the demo. Will never own the game.
Either you have a bad connection, or your teammates/enemies have one. There are some glitches in the demo, but its just a demo!!
It will hopefully be good, and from what I've played it is. And you really quit after 1 dropped game
Funilly enough, everything so far mentioned here, except Dragon Age 2, never liked the first.Got a preorder in for Bulletstorm, can't wait for that. Although the big name I'm waiting for this year is definately Deus Ex 3.
If Diablo 3 makes it out this year, I may require new pants. Though last I heard its 2012 for it :(
Space Marine, Mortal Kombat 9, F.3.A.R., and Retribution, just to name a few.
I love Gears of War, don't get me wrong, but there is just too much wrong with the other two games for me to consider buying it first day. My brother is going to play the Beta, so hopefully they cahnge alot.

Like what?
Gears 1:
Host advantage
Crabwalking
Worthless Lancer (when used on a 1 on 1 basis)
Wallbouncing
Gears 2:
Host advantage
Sniping Shotgun
Glitched Ranks (and the people throwing it in your faces)
Epic not wanting to admit that they love Wallbouncing....
You know, those pet peeves that really detract from the game.
In GoW, Wallbouncing is sliding into a wall and then backing off of it, making you look like you bounced off of it. You do it constantly, and you become incredibly hard to hit. Which is good, it's a nice, skill based addition to the game.
Only problem is is that Epic doesn't seem to want it, and so they nerfed it with a "If you get on the wall, your stuck there for a second"..... Only problem with that is, is that they also made it where you can cancel going into the wall at any time, allowing you to wallbounce without touching the wall....
I'll try to find a video of it.
Like this:
As for the "Sniping Shotgun"... They gave it a fixed spread, which allows players to shoot far longer than the shotgun in the first game. Only problem is, is that the Shotgun (Close range gun) beats the Lancer (Med-Long range gun) at medium range

What is the game like? CoD, or Halo, or something else different entirely?
Awrite 'Deus ex colon adjective/noun verb/noun' or whatever... I only ever call sequels by their number, i dislike bullcrap. For example Dark Knight = Batman begins 2.
Sorry to be funny but have i misspelled it?
DEUS EX (1999)
DEUS EX: INVISIBLE WAR (2004)
DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION (2011)
Ion storm's best games? The first RPG shooters? Have you never played them?
Deus Ex is one of the most monumental names in PC gaming. When it first came out, it wasn't really received well, it became better as it aged because of how far ahead of its time it was.
There's a lot behind it, you should really look into it and play it; since it's so old it should be dirt cheap to pick up.
It's almost like a futuristic Elder Scrolls with a more linear story progression.
You can find the first one for five bucks, and I've seen the second for under ten dollars on Steam.
I don't know why the second game wasn't very well-received. Personally, I loved it to death. They're both very much worth playing, and I can't wait for the third entry in the series.
@chrysaor: YES!!!!!!!!! I loved the second! Finally someone agrees, Although it was diluted RPG wise it was still a very fun games. Plus it had an Awesome story. And it had really good stealth gameplay IMO.
The second one is widely hated because people expected more of Deus Ex 1; however, since Invisible War was designed with consoles in mind, the game was simplified quite a bit. Ammo was condensed into one universal pool, levels were compressed down to small areas, and the HUD was too big. These are just a few of the complaints that PC gamers had with Invisible War.
Now a days, these complaints seem rather absurd. In fact, I still think they are absurd because when it comes to entertainment, never make something that it's not: accept something for what it IS, not what it should be.
@Lucifer: Deus Ex 1 was released in 2001 and Invisible War released in 2003, both before HL2.

According to PC Gamer's industry insider news blurp, it is. They reckon they've seen the 'planned' release schedule Blizz wise for the next four years.
According to them we have..
2011 - Starcraft 2 Expansion, Diablo 3 and Starcraft release codenamed 'Phoenix' which they reckon could be egames stuff.
2012 - WoW expansion and WoW Film
2013 - Expansions for Diablo 3, Starcraft 2 and WoW
2014 - The release of Project Titan, which is the codename for this second MMO they are supoposed to be working on.
My personal guess with two WoW expansions that close, they must be Outlands Update followed by the Northrend update, but they could well surprise me and release those together while working on a whole new content expansion.

Basically take the kits from halo reach mash them up, and have the ability to use any at a time, put them in Cod that has a uber overhauled graphics system, put in better weapons and good perks, and seamless ledge climbing, and put in some nano suits. there is crysis.
Battle Brother Lucifer wrote:Blizz is making a second MMO?
Blizzard is releasing a second MMO, currently named Project Titan.
It's intended to replace World of Warcraft, as WoW is very much beginning to feel its age, and to fix that issue a rather large overhaul of the game would need to be made. Rather than spend the resources and time doing that, they've decided to bring out a completely new MMO, and thus not have to chance that players will be bored of the Warcraft universe by the time it comes around.
---
Upcoming games I'm most excited for:
Portal 2.
Deus Ex.
Guild Wars 2.
Space Marine.
DMO.
Dawn of War 2: Retribution.
The Old Republic.
World of Darkness MMO.

Where´d you find this info? I read an interview with Bliz's top man Mike Morhaime (think in a dutch game magazine) that project Titan was not in anyway a replacement for WoW nor in anyway related to it, the game is gonna be focussed on the community and he kept saying that people like playing with friends and that's something they want to capture in project titan.
So, what it comes down to: It's gonna be more focussed on the social aspects. And it's not replacing WoW nor is it a sequal or anything.

It's not related to it. Blizzard has stated that Project Titan will be a completely new project, not related to any of their previous content....the speculation I've seen is that it's actually going to be a sci-fi of some description, but it's purely speculation.
But, World of Warcraft feels its age. It's almost a given that Project Titan will be pushed at all their WoW subscribers, letting it take the niche they have for WoW. This allows WoW to gracefully fade out without them taking massive losses from players simply leaving as it becomes older and older. If they make a good game, large portions of their WoW players will stay with the new MMO, maybe even most. Between this, Starcraft and Diablo, they'll start being their own competition, so it makes sense from that perspective as well that they'd begin to phase WoW out, provided it's not still making them large sums of money.
WoW plays pretty much the same as it did 6 years ago when it was released. Changes have been made, but in essence it's the same system, just streamlined and updated....and it feels it. After a year or so, most players play for the social aspect and the friends they've made rather than the game itself, and Blizzard has realised this.
Slarg232 wrote:So... Project Titan will be a Starcraft MMO? It's Blizzards Sci Fi setting >.>
Nope. At least, I don't think so.
I can't find the interview, because my internet is capped for the next few days, but I'm reasonably sure in an interview they stated they were making an entirely new setting with Project Titan.
It'll be hard to have people not compare it to starcraft though.
If GW made a sci-fi game that wasn't warhammer (LotR in Space!) then even though they weren't connected, there would be elements of it in there and it would uitimately be compared to it by fans.
Once you have an already large sci-fi world at your disposal, you will mirror aspects of it without even realising, and people will expect the same thing of Project Titan as they did from Starcraft, only in MMO form.

True, but I would like to repeat that the sci-fi element is purely conjecture and rumor. Based on very little except the fact they've already done the 'Sword and Sorcery' style MMO.
However, because of the variety of genre that Blizzard has released, it's likely that no matter how they do this, if they use a universe seen in a traditional RPG, it's going to be comparable to something they've done....unless they do something like the World of Darkness, or Fallout or something.
MVC 3, portal 2, Gears 3, Bulletstorn, Two Worlds 2, Dragon Age 2, Crysis 2, Duke Nukem Forever (surly it was worth the wait), Warhammer 40K Space Marine.
Most of these I wont get untill later though.
Another one im interested in is the Beyond Good and Evil HD remake they have got coming along somtime in March I think.
In order of my desiring new games (new games being those released in the last three months or those to be released in the forseeable future) by how much I want them:
DoW2: Retribution (already bought)
Homefront (saving up for)
Guild Wars 2
Portal 2
40k Space Marine
Red Faction: Armageddon
Shogun Total War 2
Dragon Age 2
Mass Effect 3
Crysis 2
Dead Space 2
RUSE and its recent DLC
A full list is on my steam profile in the wishlist, but meh.
Any self-respecting heterosexual male would give the same answer.
yep
Thirded
Adding Mortal Kombat to my list, also, if it's not already there, and taking DoWII: Retribution off. Game is imbalanced as hell right now, but don't look at me that way, it's a beta.
Oh man.. There are soooo many games I'm waiting for.. After very dry years at last there is light at the end of the tunnel..
Heart of Swarm, Portal 2, Thi4f, DeusEx:HR, Batman:AC, Mass Effect 3..
There were other but I think this is more than enough..
