Hi DAKKADAKKA! I Would like to share my upocoming CSM Slaanesh Space Lizards themed army The Emperor's Lizards here too. I'm about to do a 4000 points army so lots to do. Here is what I've done so far.

For me I think they really capture the 80's cartoon look and somehow manage to both very retro and very fresh at the same time.

The Princes aren't WYSIWYG, and could be very deceiving in a game, but the rest of the models are very nicely done.

Its wonderful and well painted but my immediate reaction is WHAT THE &&£!? as its so surreal!

Best...chapter...ever. I've been laughing for three minutes now. Those Slaan are a sweet conversion! I like the selection of paints too, very attractive. 4000 points of this is going to be sweet!

Some funny comments... The frogs with jetpacks, I actually thought they where sitting on a large pile of poo. Seriously. Maybe Im just messed up? Some fire near their packs would help.

I actually don't really like the liz Dread. The head looks stuck on and not part of the model. Maybe if it was painted red as part of the dread armour it will feel more like one model???

Despite my opinions, I really love your army. Eye candy crazy.

Love the 80's hair metal/glam rock feel.

A very interesting idea you've got goin on here. The colors are crazy bright. Almost to the point where i'm having a rough time looking at the vindicator...It's just TOO bright for my taste.

That being said, i love the terminators you've got. Temple guard heads seem like a proper choice, though slanns for the princes wouldn't have been my first choice, but the cybernetics on them look great.

OoieGoie, I tried to put some red near their packs, but you are right, there could be some more – poo-poo is a no-no! And Scarecrow456, I know the Slanns don’t do justice for the great powers of Daemon Prince, but I like it this way – now my opponents will underestimate them

Well, I’ve now finished “first part” of my army and you can see the results here:



I did some counting and there is something like 1370 points of Space Lizards. So, 2630 points still left to do… As you can see not many troop choices yet, so my army is not very playable yet.

Next on my to-do-list:
- 3 Chaos Raptors (2 w/ Plasma Pistols & Champion w/ Power Fist & Icon of Slaanesh)
- Chaos Terminator (w/ Pair of Lightning Claws)
- Chaos Dreadnought (w/ Twin-Linked Heavy Bolter & CC Weapon)
- 4 Chaos Havocs (w/ Autocannons)

As you can see, troops can still wait for a while! That's it for now, I need couple of drinks tonight to get the Space Lizard painting party started next week again!

Your vindicator is probably my favourite slaaneshi vehicle. It's so bright it hurts to look at it- fluffy without being crude.

Chaos Havocs w/ Autocannons:



These guys were so much pain to paint. It was those big metallic guns with lots of details (skulls, chains, ropes and all sort of crap hanging on them - I know that's the chaos way but not fan of it tho ). These havocs were also the first guys I made for this army so I'm glad that I finally got them ready. They also tend to manage well on the battle fields which is nice

For you chaos raptors you might consider cutting off the marine feet and putting in the Lizard feet, because IIRC the raptors have taloned feet. Great work none the less.

It's gonna take a while and estimated finishing time is 2000-never. So I'm also working some other models too to get something ready in the mean time... It also looks like that this army is gonna more than 4000 points, there is just so much that I still wanna do! I'll try return some day soon with some pics.

I guess I needed something different, so that’s why enhanced warriors were good excuse to a) paint with a little different color cheme b) do some converting and c) make Fabius Bile of my own!

On my next to do list are another Blastmaster, another Enhanced Warrior, Fabius Bile and maybe one basic Noise Marine (gotta do those someday too?) And ofcourse my big model; step by step (baby steps)…

I cannot describe enough how amazing these figs are. The colors are striking and the paint-jobs are what I would describe as being perfect - it's a totally radical style that works so well.

I love the lord, the claws really fit with the lizard theme. I would put one more highlight on the grey on the noise marine's gun, just to make it 'pop'- its looking a bit flat.

It was nice to paint something different than power armour for a change. I'm going to do a squad with 12 of these little bstrds. I've never played with Lesser Daemons but I've heard that they are not that great. But that doesn't really matter, I just had to use some skinks too ! Hope you like them!

I know this is a necro post... but this project is simply too awesome for me not to express my amazement at its execution and final product. Very very cool. Just saw this today.

I just had to ask Kojo if he has any stories of using the Lizards and what other players have said upon seeing them. This would completely blow my mind if someone brought this out in a tournament. I don't know if my strategic mind could handle the shock and awe seeing this across the table from me.
