This is the start to a Angels Encarmine army that i have been planning for a few years now and finally had the undeniable urge to start it, Im starting with a a rough DoA list centered around an elite jump force that i am going to expand into other branched off lists...
(Imperial Guard 2nd Page)
This is what i got in the mail and the progress i've managed over 2 days so far...
I got the Battleforce, Blood angels Furioso Dreadnaught, Death company box, 2 sang guard boxes, and assault space marine box
Overall i am planning on using one sang guard box on plastic priests and librarians
I got all of this for about 220 dollars through Dicebucket.com, saving over 50 dollars! i have saved over 100 dollars between 2 armies so it's a great site to buy from
any comments or ways they paint their deep red would be great

due to my excitement of this army i have built more in the last few hours
I built the rest of the Devastator squad and a librarian and chaplain,
i cant show the Chaplain due to me messing up some highlights and it requiring a re haul,
I try to really make my Leaders stand out, and i am pretty happy with this conversion, took about 30 minutes or so
any questions and comments are welcome

Looking good there. Interesting use of a fiend head iirc. Also pretty cool use of a chaos helm

Looks good! As requested, here is an example of how I do a blood/dark red:
http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/43342-Zerker%2C%20Red%20Stage.html
http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/43341-Berserkers%2C%20Chaos%20Space%20Marines%2C%20Khorne.html
http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/43338-Bezerker%20Plasma%20Pistol.html
Im not the worlds best painter, but I think this red turned out well, and you can do it in a 'production line'.
Basically:
- Black Undercoat
- Base coat mechrite red,
- devlin mud wash,
- then overbrush of blood red,
- then a heavy heavy wash of baal red.

another update mainly with some painting and the chaplain i was talking about
Im giving him red angel wings to stand out, they are going to be darker for a more sinister look
Some work on the dread sarcophagus on the blue, im am using the same technique on power weapons and librarian armour
All these are still very much in the base coat/washing stages and maybe some highlighting in the dread's case
and picture close up requests of any model or comments or advice is highly welcome and helpful

Update time.......school beens keeping me busy, but with a half day i got some nice work done
i assembled 5 sang guard with out packs or pads, but everything else, i find it's better to wait for everything to dry before i try to get the wings on right
I also got a priest done, now i done have a apothecary arm, so i just use lots of chalice bitz, and plan to convert a chalice, and has a med looking kit and grenades that look like vials of liquid
Got some progress on the librarian and some other dudes
any comments on the wings, faces on the devastator or the daemon head would great as these are things im trying to master better,
any other comments or questions/requests are welcome, hope to get more up soon
and also i was thinking of adding a story behind every character or named guy, would anyone want that? i always enjoy those in other projects

Iandroid wrote:What blue are you using? I really like that color a lot!
thanks for asking, I use ice blue, then do a heavy coat of asurmen blue then go back over it with ice blue, i still dont know if im going to highlight with pure white like the Dreadnaught, surprisingly the paint goes over a dark color very well as it only takes a coat or two to do, i like the light it gives compared to how GW makes their librarians lol, i use the same technique on my power weapons

I use a grey primer that looks very similar to the plastic color, sometimes i cant tell if ive gotten all the model if it's dark, the dread has primer and the sang guard do not, and thanks for the commment
any more questions please let me know, hope to get more done tonight

new update, haven't done a whole bunch compared to earlier progress, but still some good progress, maybe since painting is slower
i've been working on the Vanguard and Dev Sergeant the most in painting and have been base coating more,
any comments on the red would be great, mainly the Vanguard guy since im wondering if it is too light, compared to the Dev, who i haven't done much to the Armour, the on the wip TH, also the face on the Devastator since im worked a while on it and not 100% sure, now the camera can show a bit much in the pics, so it goes so detail it can take away from it if the makes sense,so take it will a grain of salt,
i got a full army shot so far, just imagine that with 15 more assault marines and thats what ill have so far before i need to buy more,
any comments or questions are welcomed and wanted, and also if anyone wants any different shots of models i can

alright update time, been assembling and trying to paint more, i got 5 more ASM assembled, trying to make them look unique with death company bitz, i have assembled them without the JP's due to the pain they are and i think i will have to order so GS in order to bridge the gaps you get in the ASM kits, the DC kits go together beautifully in comparison,
somehow i didn't add right over 5 times, and im 5 ASM short of 20....... idk how thats possible but it happened, i guess the sternguard took their place, once i fill in their place and get a libby done ill have about a 1750 list, almost complete DOA, hope to be play it once i get done assembling, and anyone got any hair techniques? i have ideas but haven't tried anything
anyway i started in on the second Vanguard that i call the purity seal man, and almost got the other vanguard done, and worked on the Chaplian, which is annoying as this is the first black armoour ive done and is still very "experimental" any comments on the power weapon technique and the face would be great, and anything else is welcomed

woot another update!, anyway i got the old modeling fever after a few weeks, so i decided to make my list to make the 5 bodies into tactical marines.
weird set up with them, i am planning to fill them in later, but for now they are meant to stay alive on an objective for the whole game, thus the plasma instead of a melta, to help out a bit, made the squad alot more "prepared looking" than the sternguard, since i see it as the sternguard show up in a battle and only fight for a battle or two and then rearm for battle, while the tactical in a mainly jump pack army would be deployed more covertly and not resupply nearly as often, and why make the tac squad just plain straight up marines when they could look cooler?
also made the second librarian with a more "direct approach" look about him, he was very fun to assemble with his axe mace thing.
hope to get some painted stuff up soon, need some more primer though........
and on a side note tried some freehand on a DE sail, supposed to be a squat for some unknown reason, looks more like a lumber jack with a bolt pistol, the gun came out to small and he was taller, but hey for an hours work not bad, and the read things were supposed to be a rifle sight arrows but didn't come out right........ anyway what do you think?
any questions/comments welcomed

More updates, the first order of business is that if anyone is continually watching this or have any constructive comments please let me know, as i am always looking to improve, and helps me get progress done due to motivation, and also though due to the amount of detail visible in the picture and you can see every mistake remember that, and also if i am posting to many pictures please let me know, as they add up
Alright what i got done was some minor layering done on some of the models and i built a rhino, i haven't really made the gunner fully assembled or finished cleaning it up because i am debating on my next army choice and it's between grey knights and Imperial guard, which would be the death korps or a zombie theme, but if i do the GK i will use the rhino for them and not the angels
also put in a pic of a size comparison of the Librarian i just made and my really cheap and amateur light box that gets the job done
once again comments/pointers are very welcome and i will try to respond to any questions/requests

More Plastic men updates, haven't done a whole due to primer lack but i have ordered some that should be here soon
Anyway i just bought some Imperial guard and pig iron heads and wondered if anyone thinks i should include then in this Wip thread right here
Anyway ONE BIG thing as a milestone in my painting career is my first "finished model" that i have nothing to go back and re-do, got all the details done and is based, which is a first for me and im very excited about that, finished the rhino, did some freehand in the hatch, not completely done, please let me know what you think, and what about the power weapons, which one looks better? on top of that just minor stuff around the board, did all the greens on the Sang P along with some armour work, very very slow with him, so any comments and questions are welcomed

Another Update, this time on a very welcome package in the mail, CADIANS! i got 40 cadians guardsmen, 2 command squads, 2 sentinels, 2 heavy weapons teams, and the screaming image of cadia besides guardsmen, a leman russ (demolisher), i was really torn between these and the new Grey knights, but the arrival has silenced my fears, as i love the amount of custom ideas for a IG force
My questions is should i join these projects or make a new thread? make a combined on more exciting than 2 different ones.
So im torn between which Variant of leman russ i should take, ive always had a soft spot for the Punisher or the Executioner, so if anyone got ideas let me know, as for the Heavy weapon teams and sentinels i was thinking Autocannons all around, maybe, as for configuration of guardsmen i was thinking 25 (including 5 command) as a platoon and 20 veterans, with this i have 6 extra models due to the Heavy weapons, ideas anyone? so please let me know if i should converge or not and any comments welcome, waiting for the citadel basing kit and pig iron heads to really dig into these!

I was planning on, though the color scheme will be far from red, what ever color i usually paint space marines i come to despise, except white, but i was thinking along the lines on a planet under siege by chaos and they call for help for the Blood angels, and the Imperial guard will be a different responding force/local garrison, haven't decided quite yet, pondering it though

Welcome to the custom-IG party! One thing that i would say before setting off on a wonderfully intricate and needlessly fiddly path, less is more. 2-3 small adjustments will look much more effective than one big one. Anyway, love your work and I will be keeping an eye on this thread for the mountain of epicness that is taking shape.

Alright well due to the power being out..... twice for about 90 minutes i got these done, was going to wait but all my families gone for a few days and got nothing better to do, so i left the heads off for the Pig Iron heads, i plan on some cadian heads with rebreathers for that toxic theme, so i got 2 heavy weapons (autocannon/ missile launcher) and Sentinel, please let me know what you think of missile launcher targeter to "touch screen" targeter, and the GW sprue trenches and Barricades, comments and questions welcome
Fluff!: So The planet of Kalvian Prime is the capital of the trade hub Kalvian sub sector famed for it's stability and lack of corruption due to it's location in the inner sectors, very close to Terra . Far from the madness of the Eye of Terror and the menace called the Great Devourer. Thus this Planet and sub sector thrive into a gleaming example of commerce and production in the imperium. Due to the Small forge world located in the system doubled with the surrounding agri-worlds make this a very rich sector with the technology to mirror it. Thus the legions of PDF and Tithe guard regiments are the most supplied for many systems and serve with valour, much more so than the average guard army. Though for all this success has led to laxity and ignorance to the rogue psykers in the system. These Rogue psykers hidden in the worlds of the system act as a beacon to the marauders of chaos that would gladdy see this system burn. Chaos Warships spill from the warp into the system, after a prolonged battle the Kalvian Fleet is forced to abandon the system to call reinforcements. Without the Fleets the Worlds of the Kalvian system fall one by one till all but Kalvian Prime stand in the way of the oncoming wave of chaos. As the invasion begins the traitors attack without much success, as the Iron willed Kalvians repel each landing with Chemical and mechanized assault in the toxic Urban hive environment of the world. But the Psykers open a small rift to the warp causing daemons to spill through the gap in limited numbers, enough to tip the balance. Like a cancer the forces ravage the world forcing the Kalvians to retreat until all the remains is Principus Hive as the Last bastion of hope for the planet. As the forces of Chaos make prepare their final assault a stirke force of the Angels Encarmine reinforce the beleagued defenders as a last bid for time to give the imperial forces time to arrive to help. If they fll,l Chaos shall spill will greater force from the rift into the undefended heart of the Imperium causing untold damage before being halted.

Epic, so much plastic gaurd, which I had that much, ironically my first sentinel looks almost identical apart from the direction of turn. One thing I love is the librarian, I love th pastel blue as well as the intricate armour. All the models ( gw made ) seem to be so devoid of chapter iconography so it's nice tonsee one that looks like he belongs for once
Keep up the good work

More updates, been waiting a bit for last of my mail to come, which it did earlier today, been holding back a bit waiting for the heads and i very exciting to dive into this project!
Got Imperial guard done, i worked on the command squad and the Leman Russ, which if i remember right i haven't assembled a new one and the treads were a million times better than the old on and even a rhino with the groves for the track to be glued into, so i got like 4 fully assembled, waited for basing kit for the bases so only the commander got a base
In the mail i got a basing kit, 60 pig iron heads, and white primer from army painter since i ordered the pig iron heads from the warstore for shipping since pig iron is in the UK if i remember right so i though i would try it due to the good things ive heard from it, along with that i picked up some books since i got family visiting and i go to the book sorry with some of them while their around
I also am doing a angel encarmine for the marine swap thread, got all of the base coloring done and washed it, which makes it smell bad and all the re coloring after the red gets old fast,
I also want to know what to make my last command squad dude, plasma or vox? or ever llike a standard bearer, idk
I also got 5 plasma guns from GW, converted it on one guy, slightly smaller on him that plastic IG one, looks better sense it looks more useful to him that the SM sized one
anyway comments/questions are welcomed!

Got some Veterans, command squad and tank done, made a plastic master of the fleet also since it blends into the squad way better than a metal model would have

Also just about finished my dakka marine swap dude

So you're doing Angels Encarmine? I am too! I finally gave in to the desire to do a SM army, and the new BA stuff was too good to resist. I am planning on converting the feather-style wings to the bat-style wings that the Angels Encarmine use as their logo (I can understand why you're sticking with the feathers though - it's a pain in the butt!)
Look forward to seeing more finished stuff!

Update time! been painting more than assembling, also thanks to everyone for supportfull comments, really great to have them.
Anyway on to the paint scheme, i was stuck on this on, tried a scheme as you'll see and i didnt even finish basing him with colors and i knew that it wasnt going to work like that, so i pressed on and dabbled with some colors till i got something i really liked, really stands out, looks great for the effort i put into it, and only took me about 3 hours to everything but the metallics completely done, mainly
Also got another heavy weapons teams done, took an hour and a half, pain in the arse , went for a gun follows the binoculars, also if anyone wants a step by step or how i do it il gladly post up pics!
On the note of Pics Ive been fiddling with setting and these are clearer with less yellow, let me know what you think, comments and comments welcome

Time to once again show Progress!!!
alright so i got a Master of the fleet done, my lack of remembering to past before priming has really slowed this down, as i have to base, then pant over it twice and wash then dry-brush it before it is done, making it a mainly 3 day ordeal!
I did order some GK's!!! look really cool, i have been dying for about 2 and half years to do an inquisition army and the lack of buy able model have made that next to impossible due to the 50% price inflation on sisters of battle models and orginial GK's when they were up, so for once im going to real scout of the models and army more precisely that ever before, so hopefully there here before monday!
Alright also got another Heavy weapon team, i had the idea for a while and it turned out well and finished the squad for weapons, since you guys seem to love them above all else, also started the tank and some Sang guard, also got a full army shot and my basing formula! And i think the MOTF has the best face yet, let me know
Comments and questions welcomed as always, and got more army pics if wanted!

Started on the rest and the Pysker, and got some libby work done also

Also got some pysker progress, and made maybe a lord commissar or commander conversion, idk which on i want to yet, if you got an idea let me know
Comments and Questions let me know

The Angels Encarmine are nice especially the first Librarian. The guard are well executed if a bit bright for my taste. For the Heavy Weapons Squad you could try making them all. Missile Launcher, Mortar and one of the Guns can be dome without effort. I'm not sure about the Tzeentch symbol on the Primaris Psyker too heretical i my book (He's obviously a spy). The commanders looking nice although he does lack the nice hat of the Commissar!

Welcome to another edition of Progress!
Well first of all thanks to the nice comments from everyone on my work, really makes my day reading those comments,
and i took one of my week or so break from painting and modeling to take some fresh air and build some inspiration up for future projects as that is what makes them worth while to me,
On top of that i went back to the modelling for my guard since i have been deciding on what to do for a while and i made my mind up, i plan on adding vechicals when i get more moneys as they are expensive and i dont want to drown in unpainted models! And i also plan on not fielding everything i build as i had extra models to do conversions like the CCS staff with, and i tried to make the veteran squads more dynamic and vet looking with all my special heads and ammo packs to give an overall more distinct look from the rank and file troops
that along with some recent dakka swap marine progress, and to niallkissick i have pretty much cleaned up your marine and is ready when you are done!
So comments and critisms are welcome and please let me know what you think

Time for todays recommended amount of Progress!!
Well first up i haven't spent as much time on my dakka commission as i should have and haven't gained much ground,
But on to the Guard!!
I got all of the new Vets based n primed! i have begun working on them now, some early work on some and two that are washed and on that is close, on of my favorite guys,
Also i got my first completed plasma attempt that i am very happy with! this green and i love his expression so i got a pic of that to!
Comments and Questions are welcomed as Always, as i love critiques and motivation to keep painting and improve my work

meatman33 wrote:How in the Xenos Star System did you paint the plasma chamber for the guns!?!? Looks so awesome would love to know!
I paint them in Goblin green, then wash in thrakka green, then i go over it with Scorpion Green making sure to really get it on the corners on the top row and down most of the plasma lines without going into the recess, then i go over the jutting side with skull white and go down every few lines and paint them white to give the power glow effect, then i wash it again and go over it more selectively in the lines and top with the white,
If you want i could make a picture tutorial as i got more plasma to paint and plenty of time!
More Questions and Comments welcomed as always

More Progress!
Mainly in terms of my kalvain guardsmen, but some other space marine news!
I got a Veteran done and am working on another, getting better with each Guardsman and i was really happy with how this guys goggles came out compared to last ones
Worked on Darksabres marine a bit, but i dont feel like it's worth a pic till it is further down the road!
Also started on the concept of the NMM Sang guard as the White wasn't working as it was a tremendous amount of work any way i did it for a result that i didn't much care for, as it just doesn't work well on those particular models im afraid
As usual Comments and Questions are welcomed and i love to help answer any questions to the fullest of my ability!

They are kinda bright, but i love that scheme for some weird reason! I plan to add on that number as it is a very WIP state
Anyway, small update! with small progress! kinda.........
Im on Vacation the next week and a half!!!!! ya i dont want to go on the 17th Annual Family Vacation, which is how long I've been alive, not so fun!
Anway i am bringing some hobby stuff to paint in order to hold me over and hopefully get some stuff done so this thread doesnt go dead for over 2 weeks if i can help it
Before i leave i got some picks of two more Kalvians i just built not last night, and one based no less!
Heres the Based Company Command Squad BS 4 Lascannon!
And here is Marb *&F*............. Chiberto!!! a special name that i thought was fitting, was to know where i go ill let you know
Gave him a Eldar shuriken pistol, makes sense to be the only Ap 2 sniper pistol weapon in the whole codex!!! and kinda makes sense that he looted it and loves demo charges
Anyway Thanks for Looking and reading and as always you encouraged to comment and ask as many questions as you want and ill be back to post more Progress!! as soon as i get back

Njal, what a great blog! Just read the lot in one go. I really love your crisp guard - looks like they have pride in their uniforms - angels look swish and GK progress indeed. Did I spy a novamarine in wip there too? Love the use of sprues on the hvy team bases btw.

Hello everyone! im back with more Progress!
Well i got my camera back from vacation that i got back from less than a week ago, and i can show some progress i have been working on lately!
I got Marbo done already, he was fun but really didnt come together till the end, and i got smoe paint on the vet and the hvy wpn team!
For swap marine im working on the apothecary armor as you can see, got the parts all but the shoulder pad, and that will be here soon, and im paint stripping that apothecary gear with the rest of the stuff, and Dark sabres marine is getting there but im still not that happy and have to do the purity seals and finish the armor, but wanted to show that i was working on it!
Also im going to sell some old figures for my friend as i have a good ebay account and he doesnt have on, so im paint stripping them, selling them and taking the bitz i was that are there maybe the genestealer and a marine or 2, mainly theres about 30 or 40 tactical marines, 10 terminators, the AOBR dread, rhino, pod, 40 to 50 orks, 5 nobs, and 3 copters, hope to sell them soon with some other stuff i want to get rid of as well!
Heres Marbo!
Gravens Apothecary WIP, paint stripping the painted bitz

Back to back Progress!
Well AFTER 5 HOURS!!!!! i paint stripped all the models, somewhere around 50 or 60 guys and some of them were impervious to all attempts at cleaning them...........
Otherwise i got gravens apothecary assembled and painting it, almost sad i have to swap it and i got Bob's marine built as well!
I got pic's below of the models that im going to sell! and some that i looted from them as they were to tempting to pass up
Overall still needs alot of work for maximium profit for an already built and badly painted army in dis repair!
Apothecary WIP for Graven! got the arms on, unfortunately i was going to put on a Chapterhouse shoulder, but when i got to shipping on the site it didnt let me select option so i gave up, so it will just be green and have his name on it
Bob's Marine, just got built
AND BEHOLD THE TYRANIDS THAT CANT BE CLEANED OF PAINT
Got your orcs, 50 boyz, 5 nobz, 3 deffcoptas, and 3 grotz
Space marines, got 35 marines, rhino, drop pod, dread, 5 ASM, captian from AOBR, 10 terminators
Tyranids, got 6 stealers, 10 termagaunts, 6 spores, and scenery (there from macragge set)
Guardsmen, got 20 of them, some fell off the bases and one needs a head
Chapter Master i looted!
Command Squad and Captian to be!
If anyone is interested in any of this PM me, and BOB tell me what you think of your marine!

They be Ammo Patches
This be the time for the third day of Progress! in back to back days of this event
Anyway! i got my mail delivery! 10 Space wolves, 10 wyches and Warriors, more to be shown later!
But i was skirting around the Sons of Fenris for a while since space marine just burn me out so much, But by is there character on them!! im slapping myself for waiting so long to be a box, hopefully to be expanded into an army one day, but i got 7 Grey hunters, Wolf guard, and a Rune priest!
For Graven i have fallen into my painting cycle and have been hard at work on this guy, probably at least 6 or 7 hours so far, just so much detail and layers of white it takes FOREVER!
but i got progress pic's
As usual please leave your critiques and questions as i love to answer them!
WIP shots of the Apothecary! And please tell me what you think of the Vial work on the backpack!
The Sons of Fenris themselves that i built in about 2 hours BTW plastic glue takes to long in my opinion to harden buy super glue instead!
Got you wulfen in the middle rocking twin chainswords!
The armless is the to be melta gunner, but i ran out of super glue, and plastic glue wont touch metal
And a Syrabite of some Dark eldar i will be showing more of later!
Thanks for looking Everybody!

Post by: inmygravenimage
Busy busy, eh? I hate plastic glue, makes me nauseous. Only use it when I absolutely have to (transparent flight stands etc.) Apothecary looks cracking - just while I remember, don't add a Sally logo (if you were going to) please, so he'll still be Mentor-ised!

Ok so after i built the wolves and some DE i've been hard at work painting stuff!
Been working on the one of my favorite Space wolves of the bunch and Apothecary shen for Graven, that white burns you out pretty fast
Anyway got some progress pics up and hope to have more soon!
Wip Space Wolf!
Heres some Apothecary progress!
And the Melta guy!
Any questions or critiques please let me know! thanks for reading!

Been about a week and thats high time for Progress!
Well i have been enthralled with my Space wolves, finally think i got an army that i will love to paint to the last man! been waiting for an army like this! so excited
And i also got in gear with my 3 swap marines as ill show and a dark eldar warrior test scheme that i have been working on.
Alright first up is my first finished grey hunter! complete with NMM gold! that was fun amazingly good looking
Here are some pics of the WIP Space wolves that are up next!
And here are the Swap Marines, all still in their WIP stages, order is Gravens, Bob's, and alaba's
The white armor has been so tedious that i had to rip the arms off to do it to my standards
Bob's, heavy WIP as you can see
And alaba's, waiting on what scheme he wants, but he requested a JP and normal backpack, so there they are
And here is my WIP dark eldar, still heavy in work, but im liking it, and some pain tokens i made
And finally a WIP Nova marine Captian or Chapter master
Any Questions and critiques are welcome, I love to improve on my work, and your opinion helps! and thanks for reading, tune in next time for more progress!

Hey Njal, your marine arrived with me the other day and although he had a little snappy snappy in transit it's nothing that can't be fixed with glue! And what i also have to say is wow! Your pictures don't do your painting quality any justice! i think maybe its the lighting! But i am uber impressed with my GMS Marine! He will be put into battle soon enough! I have been off work and not near a post office so i will post yours this week!

Thanks very much, i try to paint models so they look awesome on the table at arms look and yet can be looked at close and dont look to horrendous but my camera takes pics at 3k pixels so i gets alot, i think it's a few years old so i have no idea, i try to experiment every time i take pics, so i have noticed that they steadily improve, but i haven't adjusted that. Well anyway any time you ship that model is fine! thanks for the confirmation it got there and sorry it broke apart , apart from a foam box that was the best i could do! was kinda sad that was my first blood angel that i was happy with, didnt want to give it away if you dont mind me asking what was your favorite part of it?

I named him veteran sergeant Koris, right out of the Blood angels onimbus! i take names from books for space marine and guard because their plentiful and i always come up with the weirdest freaking names, named the tau i once had the mechi tangu, i have no idea if that means anything! and thanks for the praise, i always put in alot of effort and it's hearting to see it doesnt go to waste!

So i've been painting them, but takes a while making sure it all looks good and neat, but just looks so awesome to me for what i put in.
Got some swap marine Progress to show and worked on the dark eldar a bit!
Not the Most competetive configuration, but i like it!!! got an ungoldy amount of mold lines, and i almost destroyed a heavy bolter barrel, but i had chaos HB barrel to replace it!, and tell me what you think of the flower pot bases Also the thing the Sergeant holding will be a target!!! joke had to be some time!
Some Grey Hunter Progress!
The WIP Dark eldar, you can see some of the white going, but mostly got the green idea done
And the WIP Nova Marine!

Was a 5 dollar ceramic planting pot from Home depot, and then smashed it with a hammer till i got all the pieces small enough to fit on the bases, i saw the idea somewhere and i thought i had to try it, might have to re base my wolfs since theres a height difference

Well heres some small Progress!
For hitting the 6000 view mark! small for some of the bigger p and m blogs, but for what i first imagined this to be im suprised and only see it getting more, soon the 100 comment mark, may have to do something special for that!
But for now i finished the pack leader, what do you think?
And who likes the Joke of the target, just gives him so much character to me! shame he dies first!
Thanks for looking and reading! Please tell me how you think the new basing idea came out and how the NMM Gold looks! both are new to me, but i liike them, but do you?

Tremendous efforts as always, and grats on the big 6-0-0-0! One thing about the NMM, maybe blend the edge transition of the white and "gold" a little, just to make it a little smoother? You're a braver man than I, though!

I try but i use iyanden darksun and it just doesnt build up as well as much as i'd like, but i might have gone a bit white happy i wanted to use gold, but the gold i got from GW was so watered down that i was like a wash, but dried like paint, making it pretty much unusable and horrible looking, so i decided to go to NMM with surprising success, and thanks for the Warming and encouraging comments from you and everyone, probably would have stopped posting long ago without it

Yes i think the joke i was going for might have been better on a squad with 5 missile launchers that are not as devastated when they cant split their fire anymore! But i built my squad a bit more diverse since they are much better looking and just 5 missile launchers really are not that fun to me, even though they might be cost effective ( been reading on the Space wolves blog spot to much)

So i got a grey hunter done, and almost finished a second, but not yet, need to finish the last 2 steps in the NMM Gold
And i got some work on the Long Fangs and a swap marine i got done, Also does anyone want or interested in a step by step of a Space wolf GW with the Melta? cause i could do that
Here is the Finished Grey Hunter, kinda screwed up on so of the Gold on the back, but besides that im pretty happy with it
3 Finished Space Wolves models i got
Also some pics of the finished Swap marine i did, its a nova marine!
2 heavy WIP Long Fangs i got going
Also Heavy WIP Wolf Guard Leader for the Pack, was the guy with 4 beard things and sword, but i didn't like him like that
Here is the Some progress on a Swap Marine, bad angle, but i shall be redeemed in the end
So Thanks for looking, please leave your thoughts and ideas of improvement, as i love to improve on my work, also tell me if you would want that tutorial

Thanks for the comment, i sell all of my stuff on ebay since it's the most profitable and reliable thing i could get going, but really the thing you have to do is get something to together that looks good for the price, for citadel products i found that the newer the item the easier and more money you make, i got the Death company box and astroth right when the new blood angels codex hit and sold them for over retail, somehow . It's different every time and you just got to hope that someone see's it and is interested, i found unassembled models can go for around 70%, unpainted 50-60, and painted is a weird one, it can improve the value a lot if it's a great job, or kinda of decrease it since it's not great which is the majority of the auctions, and then theres the ones that have so much paint that they deform and add so much work they kill the value, so basically id try to get good pictures of them, take 2-3 pics since that gets people more interested, look at what is built, what condition, whats painted and how well, and how much people buying lizardmen what those units in their army, and come up with a price accordingly and try to get a percent, and if i doesn't go up the first time dont be sad, like i said your waiting for that one guy and it might take a while for him/her to see it, and maybe re list it 5 or 10 bucks less if you want to get rid of it, that's my 2 cents Good luck, and you can also try craigslist or find a friend (i've done both of those, but they always make less money for you in my experience)

Hello all! Time for more Progress!
This week i need your humble opinion on a new space wolves scheme i just tried
Let me explain! i asked my friend what he thought of em, and he thought they were great but to light for his taste makes me think about it, then yesterday i saw the new BOLS batrep and i just loved the dark theme of the guy with the wolves, so i tried this out! Let me know which on you like more!
I finished him and started him today, enjoying the last 4 days of summer vacation before my senior year of high school woot!
If you like the new one i might re-do or sell these here when i finish em
Expect DE progress soon!
Other than that i did some pain token and SW progress! let me show it!
lHere he is! i like him a lot but im not sure, and sorry if the pics are a little blurry, had to ship lightbox (since it was a box) in the mail so im making a new one in the mean time
Here is some Pain token WIP shots, Let me know what you think of the Flesh
Wip Wolves that i did as well
Thanks for reading, please let me know what you think good or bad, as i love to improve and answer questions, more soon!

I find that the dark colors can help the gold become noticeable a since it is not fighting the grey's, anyways thanks for you opinion, im still making my decision
Also i had a quick update, got a dark eldar model finished, tell me what you think please! progress!
Thanks for reading, hopefully more updates soon as i am back in the painting swing for now it seems!

Hello All! Time for a Progress! update
Been a little over 2 weeks now, haven't don't anything ground shattering, mainly due to the start of school and my 4 advanced placement senior classes, but i have done something!
Right now i really want to do a small army in order to finally have a painted army, but due to me not having a job and new video games, my 40k budget is non existent, so im content to try to slowely paint some DE and test schemes in the mean time!
Got a really old and poorly painted Termie squad, took a long time to strip and pick out the paint, but i did and got a test model done! A nova marine! now this model was a challenge at the start. The way i do bone color and blue it doesn't look really good until the end and just looks awful for a while till the layers are built up again, but it's done
Also am still trying out that DE Scheme as im still wondering about it so i got a few test models, same with that one space wolf
Anyway here is the Nova marine, has free hand, NMM Gold and Grey metal and highlighting, probably a bit over table top, i dont know though Though im still not that happy on the free hand on the shoulder, tried 3 times and thats the best i go
Next two im doing
Some DE, redid the gun on the finished one and almost got the syrabite done, as well as 2 other WIP models
And that WIP Space Wolves, still stuck on the scheme
Anyway! Thanks for reading and viewing, please leave any comments or critiques! Hopefully more Soon!

I really like the bright colors of the D. Eldar, but i think the green blade should be a different color so that it clashes a bit with the bright colors, it would make it seem less excessive to me.

I like your choice of colours - for the most part - and everything is very well painted. However, I feel like I have to say that the Dark Eldar come across as a tad... christmas-y.
You are doing an excellent job though, keep up the good work!
