I really like your attention to detail and clean painting. One thing, however is that you may want to use thin-lined permanent markers to draw on the plastic covering instead of paint brushes.

I love what you did with the chain symbols on the World Eater terminators.

That heresy stuff is great, especially the WE, but the SM captain with the hologram steals the show. I know I'm about 3 months late to comment on that, but awesome nonetheless.

Also, bonus awesome points for putting a huge chainsword on the WE termie Praetor.

Really brilliant stuff, Formosa. My favorites are the Crimson Fist with the dual powerfists and the World Eater with the bloody hand print on his face. All the models are great though.

If I may make one suggestion, you might want to put a white or solid colored background behind your model. It focuses the eye on the model rather than distracting it with the background and can really up the picture quality.

Here is my mostly done custom built Achilles.

I really like those melta counts as, they could easily be flamers too. Nicely painted, love the grime and the bloody hand prints.

The idea of the guns is that they can be volkite, melta or flamer, I tried to make then generic with my very limited skill at sculpting.

Hmm, I'd be tempted to go for some kind of force-chainaxe then, no less extravagant than a Praetor or such would use, but with some simple OSL to set it apart as a force weapon. After all, just because he's magic doesn't mean he's not a frothing-at-the-mouth bloodthirsty lunatic like his brothers!

Some combination of Butcher's Nails (those are the brain implants some WE have, correct? Did the loyalists have them, or was it a heresy thing?) and a psychic hood could be cool.

Sorry for quality of pics but I tried to edit then as they were too dark and I think the exposure is too high.

Good idea paradigm, I like the idea of force axe wielding librarians, can't do the butchers nails though sadly as it made the librarians heads pop or the world eaters around them haemorrhage blood and die, the last surviving we libys were not allowed the nails.

I didn't know that about the Nails, but it makes sense. The last thing you want in a guy who throws his mind around in the Warp is a brain surgery giving him serious anger issues

I really, really like that plague drone. Superb work! I notice that some of your earlier marines seem to have a very nice black line thing going on - very crisp, very nice, but it seems to disappear later. I noticed it the most on the crimson fists. I vote for more of that!

Just browsing, but very impressed, man. Nice stuff. The free hand really stands out--the cloak on the DA is amazing but I really like the shoulder pad work, too.

Nurgle-y disgustingness is also coming along...well...disgustingly. So well done on that too!

which ones are you talking about?

if its the angels I had to stop doing that as GW no longer does Dark angels green, sadly that means my entire dark angel army is on hold until I can find the same colour, you remember the one that went emerald when white was added, haven't found one that does the same yet :/

Have you tried Vallejo model colour deep green for the dark angel green? Keep up these beautifull models they look really good.

Those are very nice minis! I kind of like the heads actually, yes they look odd but they also look angry, which the WE are all about.

Any tips/tricks for painting HH World Eaters? I've got a Rampagers squad coming up.

I don't use an airbrush so I'd suggest tamiya light grey as an undercoat, ghost grey from valejo and then skull white, I used red gore for the Red, highlighted with blood red, then dabbed some blood for the Blood god on, for the blue I used enchanted blue with a guiliman blue wash and highlighted with enchanted blue and valejo white mix, the metal and bronze is all the standard ways of doing it.

Is the icon on his shoulder pad free hand too? Great job in general. What was the inspiration for that? My 40k RG are a little bland looking now.

I do like the tribal'eqsue marking on you RG, adds a ton more character to a rather bland canvas

Yeah the icon is free hand, I like to do all my markings free hand, the world eaters one is a bitch though lol.

Thanks for the comments on the tribal markings, I wasn't sure if it would work, but consensus seems to be that it does, so I'm thinking of adding it to a lesser degree on all the models, vets and captains etc. Getting more, the inspiration was that the hh books state that the raven guard recruited from tribal areas like the moawris, also they are ex criminals so I will add more thuggish tribal tattoos to my destroyers (thug life!) and moriats.

Any suggestions as to what legion I should do next, nearly done with the raven guard (1000pt allied force)?

What is your process with free- handing the RG icon? I've tried a lot of different things and it always comes out bad.

Thought I'd mix it up a bit and paint my infinity haqqislam stuff, comments as always welcome.

Great stuff! It's hard for that TDA Chaplan to not look awesome, but even then this guy is very neat, love the simple but very fitting conversions.

That conversion is awesome to begin with, but even more so when I realized how simple the arm swaps were. The freehand is a nice touch too! Very impressive.

it was an old model I did, and didn't really use anymore as 40k is pretty much dead to me now lol, so I just swapped the arms over as the suggestion of a mate of mine, and now I'm ready to rock, love the look of 30k deathwing and happily, they don't suck major arse in 30k lol

Yeah its twin Volkites on its arm, I just wanted something a bit different, while no rules exist to let me equip it this way it looks generic enough to just use as lascannons or a flamestorm cannon or something.
