Either elysians or catachan. They both seem to be regiments that don't throw lives away like cadians, and like above I like the idea of air support, instead of walking everywhere, and having to small arms fire a tank to death. Catachans on the other hand kill 'nids with their bear hands.

And I would be able to meet Larkin, MkVenner, Mkoll, Gaunt ( ), Soric, man I forogt the name of the miner that loses his memory, Varl, Hark, Caffran. Plus, Gaunt is one of the fairest (and not an *** which is rare for a IG commander), so putting my life on the line for him would not be a problem. I would so shoot Cuu on the first occasion thought.

Not sure either.
Since they are purely drop troops, and always function with valkyries, I guess they have their own pilots. At least for their transport vehicles. Otherwise, it would be too complicated to constantly assign navy aircrafts to each elysian regiment.

Commisar Holt was a character in the old Epic 40000 computer game, Final Liberation (Which had awesome live-action cutscenes!)
He was a complete badass and was acted very well by an uncredited actor... shame!
Check out the cutscenes, they're on easy to find on youtube (you got different ones depending on what you won/lost/did in the single player campaign, where you were charged with defending an imperial planet from an ork invasion).
Here's one to get you started:

As much as it is grimdark the Imperial Guard are an army of poffesional soldiers which are pretty well equipped and usually well led.
I doubt they simply stand in a line and shoot and considering what they're usually up against there could be worse tactics.

Have you read Titanicus? Seriously, being turned into a skitarii is horrible. The tech priests remove half of your body and replace it with ugly bionics, your mouth is replaced by a vox caster (thus preventing you from speaking normally with normal humans), one of your arms is replaced by a lasgun, the other one is fused with a close-combat weapon, etc.
And this is only if you're lucky enough to be a proper field trooper, because you can also be turned into a heavy weapons servitor (your limbs are replaced by arachnid-like legs and big guns) or directly hard-wired to a gun turret for the rest of your life.
Trust me son, don't listen do those weird guys in red robes, and join the Glorious Imperial Guard.

I guess that's because the cadians are the archetype of the IG regiment. Half of the regiments of the galaxy are inspired of these dudes! Whereas Elysians, they have something unique and special, they're drop-troopers! Between riding a chimera and riding a valkyrie, I choose the flying ride!
In addition, Elysians seem to have the reputation of being more "tactical" than the average guardsman. And, as I said, cadians are a bit too much associated with this "average gardsman" image.
